Alternate Opening Credits? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I recently received Hunter in my local area and I watched S2 and it had a very different opening credits sequence w/ the 1985-86 theme music variation. Does that mean that this was from an original NBC run or was that the way all S2 episodes ran locally are played, b/c when TV Land runs Hunter, it uses the same opening sequence and sometimes the same theme music variation from S1.
