I know Fred Berry passed away, but there has been rumor that another person who stared in the show passed away, does anybody know if thats true, and if it is true who was the other person who passed?

I guess I need to start trying to research a little harder before posting in here, I just found the answer to my question. I see Shirley Hemphill died in 1999 and so did Mabel king just a month before Shirley. YIKES! that's three dead counting Fred Berry. They will be sadly missed, all three were very talented.

Yes, I saw it on imdb.com I think he passed in 1991.

I didnt know Rabbit was dead. I wonder what happend to him? He couldnt been very old.

Apparently he had an encounter with the LAPD - the result being him shot and dead. Some say he had a heart condition; others say he was shot by some power tripping cops - sad - he was tolerable on screen

Do you have any proof (except Wikipedia) that John Welsh [Big Earl] is deceased? IMDb still has him as being alive. Of course they're not the most reliable source in the world.

In hindsight, if you look at Shirley Hemphill's appearance on Vibe w/ Sinbad during the What's Happening!! reunion two years prior to her passing, you can tell how frail she was.
