Well I wouldnt count on Bomar or anyone else on PA's death row getting executed anytime soon. It seems to me that PA only executes people when they voluntarily end their appeals. PA has only executed three people since they brought back the death penalty and all three of them had voluntarily ended their appeals. Pennsylvania hasnt executed anyone since 1999, they had one execution in 1999 and two in 1995. Keith Zettlemoyer, Leon Moser and Gary Heidnik are the three that have been executed by PA since they brought back the DP.
How Bomar got paroled from Nevada is pretty amazing. To be paroled after 11 years of a life sentence? I am thinking it was probably something where he was let out in one of those mass paroles that happens when a state prison system gets too overcrowded. That is how Kenneth McDuff got out in 1989 was Texas had a mass parole due to overcrowding and they let out 7,500 inmates at once basically. I am sorry for the victims and the friends and familes of the victims. The fact that Bomar was paroled while unacceptable in hindsight no one could have known this would happen. However obviously judging in hindsight the man should have not been paroled and he wouldnt have been had anyone known this was going to happen. |

Just watched the UM where they do mention this. So strange how many police officers came forward and then resigned! |
