This episode was on last week, has anyone seen it? Very interesting as they always give more details than UM does. Apparently the guy who was convicted of killing Aimee had also killed other women by bumping into their car and then when they get out to inspect the damage he attacks them. UM didn't mention this but Aimee had a strange pattern on her body that was later found to be Bomar's oil pan as she had apparently been run over.
Also could you believe how Bomar's relatives were acting outside the courtroom? His mom was trying to beat a cameraman with her umbrella while his brother tried to punch another reporter.

About the man who killed Aimee Willard. I also remember them saying that he had to be restrained several times throughout the trial and when he was sentenced to death Aimee's mom said on camera that Bomar turned around and threatened her and her children's lives.

After the part where Aimee's mother mentioned what Bomar said to her, the episode then went to the part where US Attorney Patrick Meehan described Bomar as "a stone cold killer." |

I don't think I've seen the FF episode on Aimee Willard, but I've seen the Cold Case Files segment. I found it interesting, seeing the UM segment where there was so much focus on the police officer and "witness" as suspects, that it really did come down to forensic science to nail this guy. Does the FF episode mention the first suspects at all?

He and his family have some nerve. And then to say what he said to Aimee's mother, I just hope he's watching his back in prison because if he's THAT cold, I can only imagine he has numerous enemies.

Maria
I was a friend and co-worker of Maria Cabuenos. I am saddened at how they never took her disappearance seriously until Bomar was found with her car. Also, how I never have been able to find any thing in regards of finding her some justice. Maria was a beautiful person in side and out and deserves the same justice as Aimee's family.

Bomar is still breathing. I check periodicly to see the status on the internet. The word we were given that they could not charge Bomar with Maria's murder is what they did have was circumstancial and when they did in fact locate her remains, it she had been so decayed and mutelated by nature they could not recover any dna. How much of that is true I dont know.
What really upset me is the fact they they never made as much of a fuss about Maria as they did Aimee (No offence to Aimee's family) I have my personal feelings about it. |

Thanks for sharing that article, NoraLanor. It just about brought me to tears. I can't imagine how painful this is for you and Maria's family. I agree that race is a factor, whether the police want to admit it or not. The media has an insatiable thirst for stories of dead (young, middle class) white women, and the public, in turn, puts pressure on the police to solve these cases when they see them on the news. It's pretty sickening to think about all of those stories, including Maria's, that don't get the proper attention.
