Default More Robin Givens drama...

On Celebrity Justice Saturday night, they were talking about how Robin has another problem...

CJ mentioned the movies she was in (and showed a clip from Boomerang), mentioned how HOTC made her a "household name" (they showed the clip of her from the pilot telling Arvid how Lori and Barry broke up and...), and mentioned the show Sparks (a sitcom about a black legal firm) that she was on from '96-'98. The show also mentioned how she was most infamous for her relationship with Mike Tyson.

The issue is that she owes the talent agency she was a client of during her time on Sparks over $60,000, and was supposed to pay that back in installments of $2500 monthly. But since she never paid it, she now owes the agency over $100,000.

They also showed scenes of her during her court case for her hit and almost run. She looked very tired, and had her hair in these cutesy pigtails (I don't know why she'd wear pigtails in court, but whatever).

Does it ever end with her? It's sad.

On a positive note with her, she is supposed to be on (I believe it is a) rerun of One on One tonight on UPN.

I didn't know she owed a talent agency money. That is sad that she hasn't paid the money back yet. She must be broke LOL. I saw her in a movie last night called A Good Day To Die that came straight to video 2 yrs ago. Michael Rappaport, Ally Sheedy, Ralph Macchio, Deborah Harry are also in this movie. Robin plays the girlfriend of a white hitman.

Robin needs to pay that talent agency their money because when the collection agency gets involved, they're gonna get their money because they'll threaten her about she'll go to jail. She's done several straight to video movies and she does stage plays. So she shouldn't be broke.

This is perhaps, a nice little summarization of Robin Givens' career (take it or leave it):
Quote:
Robin Givens is the queen of low budget black films for a reason. She was never good enough to join the likes of Angela Bassett or even Halle Berry. Plus, people don't like her. I know she was an abused wife, but she likes to air her dirty laundry in public even 20 years after her husband abused her. I also don't like the way she and her mother manipulated Mike Tyson into marrying her. She took advantage of an illiterate man with money. No excuse for the beatings, but she played a big part in the destruction of that marriage. Quite frankly, she's always come across as a stuck up bitch with very bad weaves.
