I love all episodes of The Steve Harvey Show. That Cedric joke with the Daisy Dukes was just one of his Nell Carter jokes, and Steve also had a few of his own.

Back in the 80s, Nell Carter weight jokes were pretty standard - kind of like fat Oprah jokes. I suppose it was more acceptable to make fun of fat women back then. I never liked the jokes and I still don't. Just seems like a cheap shot.

In the 90s, it turned to Roseanne Barr fat jokes. I remember at least one or two on Mama's Family. I thought that was ironic seeing as Mama was no skinny Minnie herself.

I think it kind of stupid insulting someone who been gone for years just show the writer can't write a script. I do think overweight people put this on to themselves. We all age that natural but we can all do something to stop the fat unless you have some medical condition. People are most lazy, eat too much or eat junk and never do a hard work out. This epidemic is a disgrace look at this chart. USA and Australia are shocking in the top 6.

And in the 70's it was Mama Cass jokes, they even made a comment about her weight in the episode of The New Scooby Doo Movies that Cass made a voice guest appearance.

Kirstie Alley fat jokes were also pretty standard in the 1990's, especially around the "Veronica's Closet" era.
