Default Joanna Kerns as Vicky????

Read in the TC book that John Ritter's choice for Vicky was Joanna Kerns which actually guest starred on TC in the first episode of season 8. I'm glad the producers didn't listen to him

Well she would have been an improvement over Mary Cadorette. I never saw any chemistry in the 2 episodes of TC she did with John. Maybe it's because of all those years on Growing Pains but I keep thinking of her as a sitcom Mom.

I think she was kind of tall like Cindy, that's probably why I didn't like her

I think Anne Schedeen could've been a good Vicky which is funny because she had already guest starred in TC in five different episodes and two of those as different characters! go figure.

Somebody on Three's Company's IMDb message board suggested Bess Armstrong as a better choice to play Vicki.

My vote would have been for Valerie Harper. Of course the producers wouldn't have paid the money to get her.

It would've looked awkward, she was at least 9 years older than Ritter.

I've only seen her in dramatic stuff and she always comes across as uptight to me.

My next choice then would be Julie Kavner.

I still think it could have worked with Valerie Harper. One thing Jack never had to deal with on Three's Company was a woman with sass. Someone that could match his wits. It would have been a good change of pace for the show. So what if she was 9 years older? She could dye her hair if she needed to and still look young enough to be Jack's partner. Matching up Jack Tripper with Rhoda....who wouldn't want to see that? I could picture Jack making sexist jokes and Valerie's character making snappy comebacks, then they would fight, but in the end always love one another.

You mean too tall for John Ritter? I think with heels she was at same height as John.
