Everyone steals from David Lynch.
Many are MORE commercially profitable ($$$$$$) because indeed,

David Lynch is an artiste. The others just walk in his shadow and are doing it for the money.

David Lynch always has one thing the others don't.
That is redemption.

Has there ever been an artiste so true to himself as David Lynch?

Sad that no major company will finance him these days.

But they will give the trash monger Tarantino money to make his violent porn that Quentin admits to getting off on, but his work is just a meager imitation and outright copies and some flock to see that garbage.

Artiste vs. Profit.
I will take a good cup of Lynch with some delicious pie anytime over the vomit that Tarantino makes.

True Detective was great acting. But it pales in comparison with Lynch.

and of course, the people behind TD have all of Lynch's work to study from.
Easy taking a test when the answers are in front of you.
