Enlisted is a new workplace comedy centered around a slightly different kind of workplace - the Army. Created by Kevin Biegel (Cougar Town, Scrubs), the show follows Pete Hill after he is booted from the front line and sent to supervise a troop of rejected misfits - a troop that happens to include his two brothers. The show follows Pete's experiences as he attempts to juggle his new troop while repairing his relationship with his brothers.

The military comedy isn't a show about war, says James Poniewozik. "What Enlisted is above all, and what makes it lovable, is a hybrid of the work-as-family sitcom and the family-as-family sitcom," he says. PLUS: It has a well thought-out premise and nicely sketched characters, and writers didn't want to make fun of soldiers.

If "raising hope" ends by this May, then this should be renewed for the 2014-2015 season and team up back-to-back better with Brooklyn nine-nine, no offense.
