Newt Gingrich Says ABC's "GCB" is "Anti-Christian"

All the controversy didn't help it at all. GCB joins the many shows that were cancelled after one season (a well deserved cancellation!)

I don't believe ABC is anti-christian. The network just needs to make money, and if GBC is making money for them, they are going to air it. If you are offended by the show, then just don't watch it. I don't watch it. I don't watch Jersey Shore either, but I've seen a few clips. Jersey Shore is ridiculous. Some say it portrays Italian-Americans in a very negative light, but I don't see any outcry of MTV being anti-Italian. I think the show totally sucks, but the fact is that it makes the network tons of money. They have every right to air it, and ABC has every right to air GCB.

But here's the difference, Steffy. The producers who made that show ARE anti-Christian because they go out of their way to get their little "digs" in wherever they can, and it's plain and obvious. And you know what? These types of shows don't sell, because people get tired of it. But does that stop them? No. They go out of their way to push their antichristian prejudices (be it slowly and subtley) in their shows. And when they fail, they come back with another, do the same thing again, and when it fails, they come back with another and do the same thing again. But do I watch it? No. Do most people watch it? No, unless the show is good enough to overshadow the digs. But with today's mediocre writing, and quality of programming, it shows that television only gets what the big shots like. And it's becoming harder and harder for the big shots to get the audience it needs to keep a show successful and popular today.
