Ahhh, sweet
Quote:
I recall her telling him to leave, "before the neighbors think we're having an affair!" I can't recall his exact retort, though. I had always wondered what Beaver's high school years might be like, with his female nemesis. WOULD there be an attempt at dating? If it was a series then, it might've included that sort of storyline. How old was he when the original ended? 14 or 15? Since I began watching when the show was in its last years, that's how I was introduced to Beaver --as a young teen, and wondered why so many kvetched about him getting older? He and the show was good throughout the series. RE the comment another poster made about Wally's lullaby: Wally was singing the title song to his DAUGHTER Kelly, he didn't have a son in the pilot film. Later they aged Kelly to make her the same age as Beaver's son, Oliver. I can't recall --did they give Kelly a younger brother? And then did they put that scene into one of the series episodes? I think yes, as a flashback ep. |

EmpressDR,
I'm pretty sure it was his baby boy that Wally sang the song to, not Kelly. Later on in the series, Wally and Mary Ellen had a son. That much I'm sure of. I think his name may have been Kevin. Later, Art |

In the pilot movie Wally and Mary Ellen were having trouble conceiveing thier first child. By the end of the movie, they had a new-born son named Ward. When the series started, it was changed to daughter Kelly, 10 years old already.
In the season 2 episode 'Birth Announcement', Kevin was born. This episode is the one in which Wally sang 'toy parade'. Mark |

I had a few favorite moments in the show.
-The one where Wally is singing to Kevin the day they bring him home. -Kip and Freddie (or was it Eddie Jr?) hanging out and sing that song "Bomb the Prom" because they were both without a date. Only to find out that Freddie's date ended up happening and Kip screaming at him. -The episode where Kelly was falling for one of Eddie's kids, I forget who it was, but didn't they let her down easy and tell her they were 2 totally different people? I think she fell for him, when he stood up for her after some kids gave her a hard time.... it's been so long.

I got a few episodes of this show of a person from this site (great trader 10/10 and quality was great and with menus on DVDs) My favorite episodes were 2 of them. 'Bad Poetry' where a little girl cons kelly for being her friend, and 'Material Girl' the little rich kid convinces Kelly to start her own t-shirt business but only to find out it fails. They are very cute and funny episodes the little girl who plays the rich spoiled little kid is no other than little Heather O' Rourke (plays the little girl Carol Ann from the Poltergeist Movies). She is the best child actress ever and what a sweet, bright and wonderful little girl she was. Just a tragic that she died only as a child (12).
