The DC Comics superhero has been revamped to be ironic and self-aware, possibly as a consequence of its portrayal on "Entourage."

Family Guy's portrayal certainly didn't help his cause either.

Kevin Smith talked about this on A Threevening with Kevin Smith.

He said he loved being parodied on "Entourage" since he loves the show.

He also said that he used to get people coming up to him asking if he's doing "Aquaman 2" and he always asked them, "Have you seen Aquaman 1?"
