Thumbs down Josh Byrne (Brendan Lambert) From 'Step By Step' Doesn't Have Fond Hollywood Memories

Josh Byrne, who played the youngest Lambert, Brendan. He mysteriously vanished from Step by Step‘s last season and hasn’t appeared on IMDb since. The most recent sign of him we can find is a 2006 message board post: ”Josh is into role playing games & loves anything to do with pirates. He’s 6’5″ & weighs 305 lbs. But he’s very depressive, sceptical & pessimistic these days, doesn’t like to talk about his Step By Step years. In fact, he doesn’t have any fond memories at all.”

I don't blame him. They wrote him out of SBS and then pretended he never existed. lol

I talked to him years ago on myspace actually, him and Emily Mae Young. He wasn't that bad about it really, at the time anyway-he honestly acted like he didn't even know there was a last season! I don't know if that's true but he mentioned the cancellation, of course on ABC, but said nothing about the pickup on CBS. It's like they didn't renew his contract and they just didn't tell him! Pretty crazy if it's true, maybe I misunderstood what he said. Then again, it would be a way to not hurt his feelings provided he never watched CBS or realized it was on that last year without him.

Brendan admittedly, had the least defining characteristics of the Lambert-Foster kids. With the girls, we knew that Dana was the feminist, Karen was dopey, and Al was a tomboy. And with the other boys, JT was the slacker and Mark was the nerd. And once Lilly came into the picture, Brendan's purpose on the show seemed to become even more irrelevant.

If he never knew that a 7th season was going to happen until after it was filmed, I don't blame him if he felt hurt for being left out.

God bless you and him always!!!

He looks a lot closer to 5'5" than 6'5" to me.

I am guessing that Christopher did not wear glasses when not giving us the character of Mark.

God bless you and him and the other remaining cast members always!!!

Holly

P.S. I still can't believe that Suzanne (Carol) is gone.
