Next time go into Best Buy and look for the FOX & HBO Series isles....so if Shout after manufacturing a niche series can't afford to manufacture the series and then pay for the shelf space....they created the online exclusives with a push from some members here at sitcoms....I also repeat from other posts....these online exclusives will DOUBLE OR TRIPLE in value over the years as collectors items because they were sold and manufactured in limited numbers.....try and buy any out of print series lately off amazon? Lost In Space, Doogie Howser? I really suggest if you like the series, support this endevor with more than "That Sucks"...not pointed at anyone in particular.
I agree with everything you said. However since I don't live in the U.S. (I'm Canadian) it is difficult for me to purchase Shout Select titles. Shout Factory (unless things have recently changed) don't accommodate international orders on their website. This means I have to find a vendor on E-Bay or Amazon who is selling the title and who will ship it internationally (not all vendors will!). This just adds to my frustration with titles being released through the Shout Select program. I have the same issues with WB's on demand releases. They only ship to U.S. addresses as well.

I understand your fustration but I have gone to the amazon canada website and bought many titles that aren't available in the US like "The Hilarious House Of Frightenstein" (childrens 70's canadian series) and had no problem.....So you would think that you could go on amazon US and buy from the official Shout seller that is on there....or simply have a friend in the US buy it for you and ship it to you....yes it could cost a bit more with the US/Canadian dollar exchange rate but if you want the series it seems like a logical way to go.....good luck to you sincerely!

The problem isn't cheap packaging it's the format.I read some season sets of series are getting pressed on DVD R.DVD R are very poor disc the slight mark or dust it doesn't read. They also hard to look after.

No Company should be releasing material on DVD R or CDR. I was annoyed i bought a CD from a old 80s band that was pressed on CDR that wasn't mentioned on their site.

Plus you can look at the item and get the good one without any dents on it.The way something get shipped you amazed the actual DVD isn't snapped in half after the box is dented after someone sat on it and no padding to protect it.

I wouldn't buy anything on Amazon if it' through a second/Third party done that and been screwed with Music Stack.I guess it's OK if it's offered on the Amazon site list price but not buy from these customers. The best bet would be ebay at least it's safer with PAYPAL not going through other channels.

You quoted me but obviously didn't bother to read it, (no wonder the internet is full of false information) as stated the Amazon second party is an employee and hired by Shout to provide the dvd's....so no one will be ripped off....as for your other opinion of Amazon.....they are one of the best when it comes to shipping carefully...they actually re-shrinkwrap the dvd around another piece of cardboard....I too am very fussy about having dvd plastic hubs cracked or damaged, so I understand.....I am now done with posting on this thread....you either want the series or you don't, this is my approx. 5th post in this thread detailing nothing but factual information about how retail works and it seems some just don't get it, understand it, or just want to complain. I guess the people who complain would rather have this thread called "Why has Mister Ed been abandoned?"

Who is the seller on Amazon selling this as i don't see any at all.Their some guy on ebay selling it for $40 that not including shipping. This is very pricey compare to others and it would be shocking if they on DVD R as i have no clue as they shrink wrapped. The price is high but if they come out say they are not DVD R it's o.k if that's the case.

For those who care or are having problems getting studio "on-demand" DVD's including Shouts, the very reputable company with its own catalog and website Critics' Choice Video www.ccvideo.com is now offering them all.......as for the exclusive Shout affliated employee selling on amazon, just check the feedback (I forget his name right now) but $40 is approx the same price as the Shout Store, the shipping may be different.

Thanks for that i purchased Season 4 of MR ED.The Set is over 11 hours and most importantly looks uncut and not on DVD R junk. The best thing also not a custom case they never come perfect in mail no matter how packed.Their is one small promo as special feature but as long as the series is uncut who cares it's just a bonus.I get the other 3 Seasons now possibly. I hope their a bonus video feature of a recent Alan Young interview and one of Connie before she died.I hope they make a smart move to release 5 and 6 together in a 39 episode package even if it's a little higher.I hope someone could pick up Perfect Strangers and complete that series.I have too say The Dick Van Dyke sets are one of the most ridiculous box sets I've ever bought a massive box that holds 5 keep cases. These sets are so wrong.
