March 15, 2010 (Burbank, CA) -- The CW has moved up the ETA of the jet-setting FLY GIRLS by 30 minutes. The reality series will now premiere at 9:00-9:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 24, instead of the previously announced 9:30-10:00 p.m, timeslot. HIGH SOCIETY, which was originally scheduled to air at 9:00 p.m., will now remain in its current 9:30-10:00 p.m. ET slot.


Following is The CW’s revised Wednesday night schedule, beginning March 24:

FLY GIRLS follows five beautiful Virgin America flight attendants as they jet from one glamorous location to the next, including Las Vegas , South Beach and New York City , while pursuing good times, great parties, adventure and love.


HIGH SOCIETY follows Tinsley Mortimer , New York ’s most talked-about “Park Avenue Princess,” as she and her circle of often-controversial friends circulate through New York ’s most prestigious black-tie affairs, outrageous parties and fashion exclusives, with never-before-seen access from behind the velvet rope.

On the season-ender of 'Life Unexpected' tonight, The CW twice ran a promotional bumper for 'One Tree Hill's return on Monday April 26th indicating that they will be the final four episodes.

While I had thought the series remained in limbo, still perched atop the bubble, the promo folks at The CW apparently have more definitive information.

This certainly improves the chances that 'Life Unexpected' is coming back next season.

ET , following encore e p isodes of the first season of the The CW’s hit drama, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.

On MOONLIGHT, Mick St. John (Alex O’Loughlin) is a ca p tivating, charming and immortal p rivate investigator from Los Angeles , who defies the traditional blood-sucking norms of his vam p ire tendencies by using his wit and p owerful su p ernatural abilities to hel p the living. In a life-altering twist of fate, Mick was “bitten” 60 years ago by his new bride, the seductive Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon). Forever 30 years of age, Mick’s as handsome and charismatic as the day he was “turned,” and he eschews others of his kind who view humans only as a source of nourishment. With only a handful of like-minded confidantes for com p any, including the eternally young, wealthy and mischievous Josef (Jason Dohring), a hedge fund trader who relishes his uniqueness, Mick fills his infinite days p rotecting the living. This skedding of 'Moonlight' by The CW is a good move, and should allow 'Supernatural' to move over to Fridays to establish itself for its likely fall timeslot. I also think that 'Moonlight' will get Nielsens similar to 'The Vampire Diaries', giving The CW a good flow on the night. Who knows, if The CW is impressed with the 'Moonlight' numbers, and Mr. O'Loughlin's 'Hawaii Five-O' eludes pick-up or stumbles in the Nielsens, it is conceivable that 'Moonlight' could stage a comeback at some point with new episodes.

I'm assuming the rest of The CW's sked will see Mondays being 'One Tree Hill' / 'Gossip Girl' encores, and Tuesdays will be '90210' / 'Life Unexpected' encores (with OTH and LuX both getting renewed).

That leaves Wednesday nights to 'America's Next Top Model' encores paired up with the as-of-yet-unidentified British reality series pickup(s). If The CW experiences problems with this night (either the 'Top Model' encores or the British reality skein), they should have some movies on hand to throw in as a replacement...'The CW Sunday Movie' last summer was The CW's third-ranked summer season ratings producer with a 0.8HH/1%, 0.4 A18-49 and 1,260,000 P2+ average...only 'Smallville' and 'Supernatural' rated higher last summer, and are likely to be tops again this summer despite the transfer to Fridays.

Miss Ostroff's giving 'High Society' encores the prized 'America's Next Top Model' lead-in seems to confirm reports that she is considering a second season of the critic-scorned, viewer-ignored reality series.

Based on this all-encore line-up, I should expect MyNetworkTV will beat The CW this summer on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with just the 'Vampire Diaries' / 'Moonlight' combo winning for The CW against 'My Thursday Night Movie'.

I would also expect that ION will triumph over The CW on Mondays through Wednesdays at least. 'Criminal Minds' and 'NCIS' are both posting very good numbers (approaching 2.0HH on some nights) for the little 94-affiliate network that is now approaching numbers not seen since the glory days of PAX.

June 3, 2010 (Burbank, CA) -- The CW has announced the p remiere of the new life-changing reality series, PLAIN JANE, on Wednesday, July 28 ( 9:00-10:00 p .m. ET ).

The series is hosted by British fashion ex p ert Louise Roe ( p ictured, above left), who also starred in “Fashion Police: The 2009 Grammy Awards.” In each e p isode, Roe will use her ex p ertise to transform one woman from the inside out to reveal a brand new woman. Each of the six e p isodes will feature a new “Jane” searching for the change of a lifetime. The “Jane” of the week will receive a head-to-toe style transformation, including a new wardrobe and confidence-building exercises.

PLAIN JANE goes beyond outward a p p earances to give each woman the chance to make her romantic dreams come true as well. Once the transformation is com p lete, the formerly p lain “Jane” will sur p rise her unsus p ecting crush with her new look and reveal her true feelings to him. A love connection is – or isn’t – made.

The CW had the seven lowest-rated shows of the 2009-10 season, including dead-last "High Society," which ranked No. 124. And surprisingly, "Life Unexpected" had more total viewers, on average, than "Gossip Girl," "One Tree Hill" and "90210." Meanwhile, the highest-rated sitcom was "Two and a Half Men" at No. 11, followed closely by "The Big Bang Theory" at No. 12. The highest-rated new show of the season was "Undercover Boss," which came in at No. 6, followed by No. 19 "The Good Wife."
