Yes, I noticed the tear stain...sweetly sad. I've noticed many little things such as this with the clarity of DVD. For instance, you can really pick out the stand in's and stunt actors (the hair is usually a dead giveaway).

She actually starts crying while reading Sam's letter and the tears are so noticable. And the pattern on the sheets is very noticable too LOL I love having clear copies of the show on dvd!

I'm amazed at the details I can see on the DVDs. I never knew she was crying until I saw that! I love seeing the patterns on their clothes and even the faults and flaws (as Maddie would say)!

Now I have to look at this episode AGAIN... to watch the pattern. Didn't noticed it yet, was probably looking at something else...... :-))

Are there any other good details to spot?
(After all, it's the best excuse to watch this great part...)

There is another detail to look out for but it`s from the next episode - To Heiress Human-
It`s from the morning after the night before bedroom scene... if you look closely you can see Cybill maternity support briefs under the sheet ( they`re pink so it`s not too hard to notice them).

Oooooh - SEXY!

That reminds me of Maddie/Cybill walking down the hall with her maternity support hose on, face all shiny/sweaty with the look of morning sickness. Isn't pregnancy wonderful when you have to share it with the world?

I have yet to see the "I love you" clearly, but golly gee! I don't think I could backpedal the way Maddie did first thing the next morning. Why not savor the moments?

I do remember Moonlighting being the hottest thing on TV at this time. I was in high school then and the build up from Blonde on Blonde onward was incredible. We didn't miss having something like the internet with sites like this! The show was, as others have said, a big cultural topic at the time. I had a crush on Bruce too then. Anyway, I remember being a little put off at the time with the smashing glass and breaking furniture. I guess I thought of it as kind of "mean" lovemaking and wanted them to come together more gently than that, but now I think the scene plays out logically. There was so much heat between them that the first time wasn't going to be violins and edelweiss. Bruce and Cybill were excellent in the episode, the chemistry between them crackling fiercely. The kissing and the way they held each other was great. I loved it! I loved their argument; it was rhythmic. I also liked Stalker Sam confronting David in his home; the banterish confrontation at the office when David follows Maddie in the hallway; the barrage in the garage; the argument between Maddie and Sam. The bar scene with Maddie and Agnes seemed like filler though, even though Agnes was funny demanding drinks and then passing out. The episode was nearly absolutely perfect!

Love your post MaddieLovesDavid and agree on everything youv`e said , for me though the problem with the `lovemaking scene was that it wasn`t long enough .
Now i know it was a pre watershed show and they couldn`t go too far but it would have been nice to have seen a bit more of the same if nothing else.More rolling /more kissing and maybe a longer bed scene.
Especially knowing what we know now about the following episodes , this was really the only time that we got to see them truelly happy in each others arms. The writers should have milked that scene with everything they could.

Hi, Laura! I agree with you too. Every time I watch that scene from the first slap onwards I think it's too short also. After two and a half seasons of build-up we should have seen a little more. Didn't they even show longer lovemaking scenes in soap operas at the time?
