Just curious . . . what was the story line on this to have both Audrey and Joyce appear? I remember when this show was on Nick at Nite many moons ago but I don't remember ever watching it!

The husband on the show told his wife that she can't be friends with there neighbor. They came in and said that everybody has to have a wacky neighbor. "Alice" kept mentioning how her husband was a "big baby".

...the "Nielsen" family (the characters that appeared in the "legendary" 1950's situation comedy, "Hi Honey, I'm Home") are in the "Sitcom Relocation Program"...and have to live in the "real" suburbs without anyone catching on.
However, the teen-age kid who lives next door KNOWS their TV program by heart, and discovers who they "really" are...and agrees to keep their secret. Naturally, the Nielsens have a hard time adjusting to the "1990's" (in clothing, attitudes, and everything else that comes under the heading "culture shock"), but they survive...sometimes by using their "decolorizing device" to temporarily feel comfortable in "black & white"...and having some of their fellow sitcom "friends" occasionally drop by-- like "Alice Kramden" & "Trixie Norton". [And then, of course, "Mr. Mooney" came by once to personally inform Mr. Nielsen that he was fired...]

"HI HONEY, I'M HOME" was produced by Nickelodeon (and taped at their facilities in Orlando, Florida), and lasted just 13 episodes. The first six were shown simultaneously [although on different nights] on Nickelodeon AND ABC in the summer of 1991. The remaining episodes were seen exclusively on Nickelodeon in mid-1992.

I vaguely remember this show, however I do remember that I liked it though. Too bad it didn't last they could have done so much with this show.

I remember thinking this show was hilarious back when it was on TGIF! I wonder if I would still find it funny.
