Even if a person feels nothing about her death, talking trash about her sucks but that's just me. People are entitled to their opinions.
I guess I just don't understand the part where just because a person is dead that you have to change what you say about them. If I said she was a skank before she died I'm not going to change my opinion of her and not say so just because she died. No one, I think, is glad that she is dead but just because she is doesn't mean that all of the negitive talk about her should stop and only the good things should be pointed out. She is what she is and just because she's dead, it ain't gonna change.

Like I stated to Tweety, it's different philosophies. Some people feel it's inappropriate to trash the dead at least so soon. Others think it's fine. Not a matter of changing an opinion, just a show of respect. If someone wants to call Anna a skank or a crackhead now that's their right, just not my bag. A lot of people have also lost loved ones in the way Anna died and feel sympathy for the woman. I've found that most people regardless of how they felt about her before, do see the tragedy in this. To each his own I guess.

I see your point. To me the tragedy in this is she put her self in this situation. It's hard to have sypathy for celebrities who live the lifestyles that they do. Brittney Spears is a perfect example. All the money in the world, a whole bunch of people that would help her out in a heart beat yet she can't stay in rehab for more than 2 hours. It's hard to have sympathy for people that don't want to help themselves.

That's the disease part of it. They can't help themselves. If you have a chance, listen to Craig Ferguson's take on this that Janice posted. Both funny and moving.

I'll give you some on that. There have been many that have been able to help themselves just like there are those that can't. If you want it bad enough, you'll do something about it. I guess the bottom line would be don't get into that situation in the first place. Surround yourself with the right people who are actually looking out for you more than they're lookin out for your checkbook.

That was a great take by Ferguson. His part about "you have to take responsibility for yourself" was 100% right in my eyes!! Good for him for being able to realize that he needed help.

Good point there. Unfortunately many of these celebs surround themselves with yes men who don't have their best interests at heart. Elvis and Marilyn come to mind. Of course most of these people would be out of a job if they actually did try to take a stand.
