Default Do You Actually Care about the Anna Nicole situation

Personally, I'd be perfectly happy to never hear about it again, and don't know why the news networks seem so giddy to force it down my throat. But, I recognize there's probably an audience for this...stuff.

Thoughts?

Not especially. But it's kind of amusing to watch the circus go round and round...

I think the air time it's receiving is excessive, but I'm not contemptuous of Anna Nichole Smith or the situation. I feel sad when I see anything about this, or any other tragedy. That's why I watch little or anything about it.

I think all the attention this story is getting is atrocious. Celebrity news like this should not be considered headline news.

I'm interested. It's an interesting story, and an extremely sad one at that. Here you have a larger-than-life entertainment personality, Anna Nicole, whose young son died in her hospital room, only days after she gives birth. That alone is bizarre. In the months leading up to her young death just five months later, there's been paternity issues, an inquiry into Daniel's death, a struggle in the Bahamas over her home.

There's the 'Who's Your Daddy?' factor. The ongoing fight for her late zillionaire husband's estate. The battle of where Anna should be buried. If anyone could watch that hearing and not feel even a little sad, it's time to do a gut check for compassion.

Two guys, Stern and Birkhead, and her mother, at odds. Who's the villain ? Is there a villain? This story has it all. Sex, mystery, money, drugs, court battles, tragedy, custody issues, fame, family estrangments, the deaths of a young mother and her son, and an infant girl who has no mother.

What's not to find interesting is the bigger question, to me anyway. Can anyone name a story, involving a celebrity, that's had this much drama...this many twists and turns? This one is right up there on the celebrity big story list.

Not really. Anna Nicole couldn't get away from this circus when she was alive, and now it's 100 times worst now that she's dead. I may not have liked her that much, but she deserves to rest in peace without all this bull****. I wish it would all go away, and they'd finally get back to real news. The people who apparantely loved her, seem to be milking her for all she's worth, and it just depresses the hell out of me. These idiots don't deserve the publicity as far as I'm concerned. GET BACK TO REAL NEWS, AND LET THIS LADY REST IN PEACE!!!

I so agree with you Janice. I guess because we can identify with certain aspects of this case.

Not only that, this is a lesson to be learned by EVERYONE. Make your wishes known to those that matter. Write things down, not once, not twice, but three times, with a witness, preferably a lawyer. I don't know abt other states, but you can write things down on paper, with at least two witnesses and make simple requests. Have one copy in a file box and have someone else hold a copy for you. Get it notarized. Always make a will and update it as things change in your life (death, birth, etc.) A lot of this could have been avoided had Anna up-dated her will and included her wishes as to where she would have liked to have been buried. As you can see, different things occurred in FIVE MONTHS and forever changed this woman's wishes as she wanted. Unfortunately, she was grieving the loss of her son, she was a mess, she was dealing with a newborn, dealing with a paternity suit, dealing with a lawsuit against Trimspa and herself...then she dies.

Then, you have this man who is married to a Hollywood icon (Zsa Zsa) who herself is sort of a Anna Nicole of her day (married nine times, famous for being Zsa Zsa, etc.) whose husband claims to have been cheating on her with Anna Nicole. Who the hell saw that sh*t coming?

I agree that there was no need for cameras in the hearing that occurred for the past week...it could have been taken care of if the attorneys simply filed briefs and the judge could have read pertinent information and based his opinion on those. This circus hearing (as much as it was fascinating to watch) was not necessary.

Its a sad situation that has turned into a freak side show. They should ease
up on the coverage of it, maybe do a twice a week recap of the ongoing
story.

It doesn't really concern me either. I don't mind hearing about it, but I missed Family Feud yesterday on NBC because right when it started they just went right off and BREAKING NEWS popped up and they just sat there waiting for the judge's decision. =/ There always seems to be breaking news on NBC when Family Feud is on, it happened before with the plane crash in New York last year sometime.

I was never a big fan of Anna Nicole, but it's been ridiculous how this has been handled by the people involved, even down to the judge. It's been like a circus. It's about time she is buried so she can finally rest in peace.
