Season Two Episode Four Devistation (cont.)

*With Nate thinking there's nothing wrong with him having a date with another woman other than his fiance, he gets ready for his evening. With CD left feeling confused, hurt, and needless to say angry, she forces herself to ignore her emotions and think of ways to end it with Nate. After all, she can't be pregnant and have a fiance that's cheating on her. At least that's what CD thought. Maybe it was her overly active emotions due to the pregnancy getting to her. Or maybe not. But all she knew for sure was that she had to confront him about it.*

(Nate and the "mystery woman" at dinner)

Nate: Wow, this is a really nice setup you have here. he says to the woman.
Woman: Ya know, Nate, I'm really glad you decided to meet me.
Nate: Oh no problem, Lisa. We haven't seen each other in so long. And you were one of my frew really good friends back in high school. And I didn't have many, so I really valued your friendship.
Lisa: Valued? As in past tense?
Nate: Okay, okay. Value. Feel better? he asks sarcastically.
Lisa: Yes much. she says while laughing.
There is an awkward silence. Lisa is the first to break it.
Lisa: So what's new in your life?
Nate: Oh alot. I'm an inspector now for the felony Division for one.
Lisa: Oh wow. And how is that going for you?
Nate: Awesome. It's where I met my current fiance. And she's pregnant too! he says excitedly.
Lisa: Fiancee? You have a fiancee? she asks with a disapointed tone.
Nate: Oh yeah! And I never knew any one person could be this happy. It's amazing!
Lisa: Is that right? Well, I see. Is all she says.
Nate: What's the matter? I would have thought you'd be happy for me.
Lisa: Happy for you? Are you crazy?!
Nate: What are you talking about?
Lisa: Oh my God. I can't believe you don't remember our agreement.
Nate: Umm no I'm sorry I don't.
Lisa: Well does this refresh your memory? (mocks Nate with a deep voice) When we graduate high school, if were not married in five years we'll marry each other. Well, it's 15 years later Nate.
Nate: Oh wow Lisa. I was 18. You can't honestly expect me to live up to that!
Lisa: Actually, I did. I didn't take you for the promise breaker type.
Nate: Promise breaker type? Lisa you can't be serious.
Lisa: Of course I'm serious. I couldn't understand why you didn't contact me to set up the marriage arrangement so that's why I planned this evening and you agreed to it, so don't tell me you weren't interested.
Nate: Ok let me make something real clear real quick. I love my fiance. More then life in itself. She is my whole world. And I couldn't even PRETEND to imagine my life without her. And as far as my agreeing to bring the wine on the phone and saying I love you, is because I DO love you. As a friend. A really awesome friend. And NOTHING more. And I thought it would be a nice gesture to bring your favorite wine. But that's all it was, and I apologize if I gave you the wrong impression.
Lisa: Well you sure know how to lead a girl on.
Nate: Ok Lisa. That's it. You are certifiably insane, now. You changed for the worst when we lost touch after high school. And no matter what you say, think, or do, I'm not leaving the love of my life for someone who just contacts me outta the blue. Now if you'll excuse me CD is waiting for me. And with that, Nate leaves Lisa at the table and sets off to confront CD.

*When he got back to his house, everything that CD could find that belonged to Nate was out on the sidewalk. Nate, really confused and scared, went up to the door where he read a note that said: "Nate I heard you on the phone earlier tonight. And I'm NO FOOL. How could you do this to me?!" I thought we were madly in love with each other. But I was decieved. Take all your **** and go back to the girl you just left, jerk! P.S. The baby and I will be just fine...on our own.
