Introduction/After the Fall

Hello everyone. This is my first time on a message board. I wanna start by giving a shout out to Miranda and Jeanie, who are posting a neverending fan fiction on the Division Message Board. You guys should go over there and check it out. They have 145 pages already! lol So get reading! I plan on writing my fan-ficition in small parts so that you don't get overwhelmed with the whole story all at once. Well, here is my first Division fan-fiction entitled After The Fall.
(Takes place the day right after the Intervention)
It's Monday morning and Jinny is sitting at her kitchen table with a cup of tea. She takes out the tea bag and places it on a paper towel beside her cup. She glances over to the clock on her microwave that reads 6:35AM. So she puts her head down on the table thinking she can sleep for at least 10 more minutes before having to get ready for work.
not much later after that, the sound of the ringing phone awoke Jinny from a sound sleep. She picks it up and manages to say Hello, in a semi-concious voice. Once she hears Mag's voice on the other end, she automatically looks over to the clock once again which now reads 9:15.
Jin, it's quarter past nine where are yo..... Jinny cuts Magda off before she can finish. Yeah I know, I overslept I'm on my way. Jinny hangs up the phone, and walks over to the bathroom which is located right behind her. She trys to pull herself together just enough to look presentable at The Division. She then goes over to where she had been sitting and grabs her leather coat off the back of her chair, and heads for the door. She makes it all the way to her car before she realizes that she left her harness, gun, and badge on the nightstand beside her bed. Oh I can see what kind of day THIS is going to be! She mumbles to herself, and gets out of the car slamming the door behind her.

Hey you two thanks for helping to make my fan fiction more interesting. I wonder if anyone else will read this! lol I really like that quote you threw in there Miranda. It makes my fan. fic look good Well, I'm gonna sign off now so I can type more to add to it. I have it all written down, I just need to type it out so it shouldn't take long. Bye for now! And yes Miranda I know your nice! lol lol Oh and how can I get a pic under my screen name, like you guys have? I wanna feel special too!! lol

*At the Division about 10AM*

Right as Jinny is walking down the hall to the Divison, she runs into Magda.

Hey Mag listen, I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to hang up on ya. I just had a rough night, and I didn't get much sleep, so I went to sit down at my kitchen table this morning with a cup of tea and I......
Jin don't worry about it, I understand.
Mag, I'm sorry I don't know what's gotten into me lately. I guess I'm just a little defensive because of that whole intervention thing. I know quitting drinking is something I have to do, but the truth is it's hard, really hard.
Well, at least you are admiting it, that's the first step.
Geez, Mag. now your starting to sound like Dusty.
Hey Jin don't get mad at me, i'm just trying to help you. And don't worry, I know you can do it, it just takes time that's all. What do you say we meet up at Anchorside for lunch, my treat. We can just sit and talk.
Ok Mag. thanks I need that.

*And with that they both walk through the Division doors at the same time, to see Kate at her desk looking through some papers. And Cd and Nate are at there desks talking about there up coming case, and Raina is sitting at her desk talking to Dom, as usual. Jinny and Magda walk into the Captain's office. Jinny leans against the wall, and Magda sits down in a chair in front of Kate's desk.*

So what you got for us today Cap. *says Jinny, with a less than chipper attitude actually rather sarcastic*

Well, basically what we have here is your modern day Bonnie and Clyde. It's a married couple by the names of Marissa and Chris Stovic and they have already hit a couple of convience stores, and a few homes. At one house they got away with 10,000 dollars worth of precious jewels.

*And of course Jinny charms in with...*

Well if there stupid enough to leave 10,000 dollars worth of jewels in there house there just asking to be robbed!

*Magda shoots Jinny a look*

Jin: Well!

Kate: Ok, Magda? Jinny? Here's there address, and a warrant to search there house. Turns out this couple is wanted in 3 states, and there trying to make this one there fourth. I need you to go over there, and see if you can find out anything. They do most of there work in the early morning when people are at work, so now is your best time to go.

Jinny and Magda: Ok we're on it.
Kate: And hey, be careful.

*Scene fades out*

Hey! My next post will have Teddy in it!!!! So keep looking.

Well this is just great!!!! I had written an awesome entry to follow the one I jsut had and the DUMB server was down, so when I tried to submit it it said website not responding. And it wiped out that whole section. So NOW I have to rewrite it AGAIN from memory, and it was rather long too. Well, I guess I better get started then huh? UGH!!

*Magda and Jinny arrive at the Stovics house with two armed officers*
Magda: You think they're home?
Jinny: There's one way to find out.
*Magda knocks on the door quite loudly*
Jinny: SFPD open the door, we have a search warrant!
*The two cops bust down the door and walk in. Jinny and Magda follow closely behind*
Officer: Apartment clear!
*Jinny and Magda are surprised at what they find. Money is spread out all over there coffee table. Some in bundles and some lose*
Jinny: Mag are you seeing this?
Magda: Uh yeah!
Jinny: Makes ya wonder if they have anything else like this lying around the house.
Magda: Well let's go have a look shall we?
*Jinny and Magda walk into the bedroom together, where they make yet another discovery*
Jinny: Hey Mag, look at this!
*Magda walks over the the closet where Jinny is standing*
Magda: Oh my God talk about a good bust!
*Right in front of them are two pot plants, hidden under a few articles of clothing*
I knew these people were crooks but I didn't know they were druggies too! says Jinny chuckiling.
Magda: Officers, would you two mind waiting here for them to return and just bring them to the station, we'll meet you there.
Officers: Ok, no problem.
*Jinny and Magda get together everything that they found in the apartment and load it into there car to bring to the Division*
*Scene continues in the Captain's office*
Kate: Hey how did it go?
Jinny: Great we made ana wesome bust.
Kate: Really?!
Magda: Yeah look for yourself.
*Two more cops bring everything that they got from the apartment into Kate's office*
Kate: Oh wow! Ok guys you know where this has to go.
Jinny: So Magda are we still on for lunch?
Magda: You bet!
Jinny: Hey Cap. you wanna come with us?
Kate: Oh thanks anyways, but Amanda wants me to have lunch with her.
Jinny: Ok, catch ya later.
Ok said Kate with a smile on her face because of the great bust that Exstead and Ramirez had made.

*A little while later at Anchorside*

Magda and Jinny walk over to the table furthest from the bar. Jinny sits with her back towards the door, and Magda sits right across from her.

Magda: Uh, Jinny don't look now, but Teddy just walked in with a tall blonde woman. And he seems quite friendly with her. He's got his hand on the small of her back leading her to the table.
Jinny: Oh Mag. it must be someone who looks like him. Teddy may be some things, but he wouldn't date anyone so soon after we broke up. I know him. He still loves me.
Magda: Ok, look for yourself, then.
*Jinny turns around to see Teddy with a tall blonde woman just as Magda had said. She turns around and as she does so, she feels her stomach sink to the floor but trys not to let on to Magda*
Jinny: That's it I'm going over there.
Magda: Jinny don't, you'll make a scene!
*Magda puts her hand on Jinny's in an effort to keep her seated*
Jinny: Oh well. I'll be back.
*She gets up and walks over to there table. She just stands there and looks at the shocked look on Teddy's face, when he discovers there in the same restaurant*
Teddy: Jinny?! Hi, what are you doing here?
Jinny: I was going to ask you the same thing.
Teddy: Jinny please it's not what it looks like. She's not my new girlfriend, she's my..................


Well, I think I did I good job of rewriting what I had wrote before. And yes I meant to leave it like that, makes you wanting more doesn't it? Well, it's only gonna get better the more I write I promise you that. Have fun reading!

*Continued at Anchorside*

Teddy: Jinny she's not my girlfriend she's my cousin.
Jinny: Your cousin?!
Teddy: Yes. She's just here for a week vacation. Teresa meet Jinny, my EX-girlfriend. (And he puts the emphasis on EX.)
I wouldn't date anyone that soon after we broke up. Don't you know me by now?
Jinny: I know that but Magda said.... oh nevermind. I'm sorry I bothered you. Enjoy your lunch.
*Jinny walks back to her table*
Jinny: Magda, I know your just trying to look out for my best interest and all, but sometimes you assume way to much.
Magda: What do you mean Jin?
Jinny: That was Teddy's cousin Teresa, not his girlfriend.
Magda: Oh I'm sorry Jin. I had no idea.
Jinny: Yeah I guess not, and now I just went over there and made a fool out of myself for nothing.
Magda: Hey I tried to stop you, from going over there, so don't blame this on me. I simply said he's over there with a girl.
Jinny: Right Mag. You know what, nevermind. Let's not fight over this ok? I'm gonna order now, how about you.
Magda: Ok.

*Back at Jinny's Apartment that night*

She had just gotten home from a hard day at work and she was getting ready to take a bath and go to bed when she heard a knock on the door. She went to answer it in a blue cashmere bathrobe. To her surprise it was Teddy.

*Teddy is at Jinny's door*

Jinny: Teddy?! What a surprise!
Teddy: Is it a good surprise?
Jinny: Yes! said Jinny with a shocked look on her face.
Jinny: This is the last thing I expected. Especially after how I acted at the restaurant.
Teddy: It's ok really. I know why you were jealous. Especially after I left you because of your drinking. I know that you never meant to be all over that guy at the bar. After all, you were drunk and didn't know what you were doing. I just didn't know how to react when I saw you with him. I love you, and I can't picture anyone touching you besides me. I acted the way I did out of love for you, but I know you are trying to get your life back together. And you've stopped drinking and all, so what do you say we give this another chance?
Jinny: Oh Teddy. I'm so happy to hear you say that. I've missed you so much!!
With that, Jinny pulls Teddy out of the doorway, and into the house. Teddy shuts the door behind him.
Jinny: Uh Teddy, I was just getting ready to take a bath and go to bed. I'm really tierd. I've had a long day.
Teddy: Well in that case, want some help?
Jinny: Sure. Says Jinny walking into the bathroom, grabbing Teddy's tie so that he has to walk behind her. Jinny shuts and locks the bathroom door.
Teddy: I only ask one favor.
Jinny: Sure.
Teddy: I want to do something for you can you turn around?
Jinny: Why?
Teddy: Don't ask, just do it please?
Jinny: Ok. says Jinny with a confused look on her face. She turns around, but Teddy doesn't realize she's facing the mirror and can see everything he's doing. As curious as she is, she still wanted to be surprised, so she forced herself not to look. Teddy is starting to get undressed and climb into the tub, with something in his hand.
Ok you can turn around now. Teddy says.
Jinny: Gladly. She turns around to see Teddy in the tub, with bubbles up to his neck.
Jinny: Is this the surprise? She asks thinking ok, it's nice, but I have seen him in the tub before.
Teddy: No this isn't the surprise. Come in here with me and I'll gladly show you what it is.
Jinny gets undressed in the bathroom while Teddy looks on. She climbs in the tub and sits down right in front of Teddy and rests her head on his chest, which causes the water to tip over the side of the tub. Teddy puts both arms around her, and slowly opens his left hand. When Jinny realizes what is in his hand, her eyes well up with tears. She leans back and looks into Teddy's eyes.
Teddy: Jinny I love you with all my heart and soul, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. And I can't possibly picture myself making love to anyone else but you. Jinny Exstead, will you marry me??

*In the Bathtub*

Oh my God! says Jinny, covering her mouth, her hands are shaking.
Jinny: Yes, yes I'll marry you!
She turns 180 degrees so she is now in the tub facing him rather than having her back towards him. She places both her hands on his face one on each cheek, and french kisses him. His head is tilt back slighty by the force and speed of the kiss, yet it was gentle all at the same time. Which altogether caused Teddy to twitch for a second, and it felt like his whole body was electrified.
Jinny: Teddy...I think we should stop.
Teddy: What...why...don't you want to?
Jinny: YES! Of course want to, I just want to wait till after we're married, that's all. It will make our wedding night complete.
Teddy: Oh ok that's fine. Whatever you want Jin. it's your call. I'll wait as long as you want.
Jinny: Really? You mean that?
Teddy: Yes of course Jin. I love you.
Jinny: I love you too! It's just that I've done this with every other guy I've ever dated, and I wanted you to be different. Because I really care about you and I want this to happen like it has in my dreams.
Teddy: That's ok Jin, really. And don't worry about your dreams not coming true. I'll make your dreams reality.
Jinny's eyes well up with tears.
*Scene fades credits roll*

*START OF ANOTHER EPISODE*

You Learn Something New Everyday

*At the Division in the Morning*

Everyone is sitting at there desk. Jinny looks over to Magda and puts her hand up to show her the engagement ring from Teddy. Right as Magda starts to stay say something, Jinny gives her a look hoping she won't. Jinny gets up and walks over to Magda's desk. She wispers something in Magda's ear.
Jinny: (whispering) I need to talk to you in the hallway.
Magda: Sure!
*They both walk out to the hall*
Magda: Oh Jin, am I seeing what I think I'm seeing?
Jinny just nods.
Magda: Your engaged, oh my God! Magda yells!
Jinny: Shush, your the only ohe that knows!
Magda: Why don't you want anyone else to know, Jin?
Jinny: I do...just not right now. I wanna surprise them when I pass out the invitations. But I just had to tell someone, I couldn't wait anymore!
Magda: Oh I see. But one question.
Jinny: Yeah?
Magda: How are you gonna hide the ring?
Jinny: Oh that's right! I don't know, I'll figure out something.
Magda: Ok, this I gotta see!
*They walk back into the Division and everyone's giving them a wierd look wondering what was so important that they had to go into the hallway to talk*
Jinny scans the room quickly with her eyes, and says.
Jinny: What?!
*Everyone goes back to what they were doing*
Kate comes out of her office, and stands in the doorway.
Kate: Uh, I need to see everyone in my ofice right away.
CD: All of us?
Raina: Everyone?
Nate: All at once?
Kate: YES! EVERYONE! Did I stutter?
*Everybody knows it must be something important, seeings how she has never called everyone into her office at the same time before*
They all walk to her office together leaving the divison empty. Raina, CD, and Nate sit down. Magda and Jinny come in and close the door, then stand in front of it.
Kate: Ok. I want to try something new. I am going to change everyone's partners.
Jinny: Why something wrong with the way things are?
*Kate notices Jinny's ring, because she has her right arm folded over her left, but Kate doesn't say anything just looks at her for a second. Which makes Jinny put her hands behind her back.
Hate: No there's nothing at all wrong with the way things are now. I'm just curious if we will solve more cases or less cases by changing partners.
Raina: Maybe we'll solve the same number of cases.
Kate: That's a possibility also.
Magda: So who's working with who?
Kate: Well, this is how it goes. Raina how do you feel about getting off your desk duty and, hitting the streets? Do you think your ready?
Raina: Uh Sure I'm up for the challenge.
Kate: Ok then Raina your with Nate. Is that ok?

Raina and Nate: Yeah that's fine.
Kate: Ok and Cd how do you feel about working with Magda?
CD just looks at Magda.
CD: It's fine with me. Is it ok with you Magda?
Magda: Uh, yeah I'm fine with it.
Kate: Ok that's settled.
Jinny: Uh what about me? You know, the one over here.
*Jinny waves her ringless hand with an attitude*
Kate: Well........
Jinny: Yeah! Well.......
Kate: I was thinking of putting you with Teddy.
Jinny: Really?!
*Her face lights up. Everyone but Magda still thinks there seperated*
Kate: Is that Fine? I mean I don't know if you two are on speaking terms or anything.
*Magda's look is worth a thousand words*
Jinny: Yeah, that's fine I'll work with TeDdY.
Her voice gets scratchy at the mention of his name.
Jinny: Um just one question Cap.
Kate: Yeah.
Jinny: How long is this gonna last?
Kate: Well, if all goes well after about a week, you can choose whether or not you want to stay with your new partner, or go back to the way things were.
Jinny: I see. And if things are worse after a week?
Kate: Well then, we'll have to go back to the way things were when we didn't have any problems at all.
CD: Oh I see, it's like a trial.
Kate: Exactly.
Nate: This is a good experiment.
Raina: Yeah until we have to decide whether or not to switch back.
Magda: I know what you mean. People might get offended.
Jinny: Well, time will tell I guess. So Cap. have you made Teddy aware of this.
Kate: Yes I informed him early this morning. And he agreed to do it if you would.
Jinny: Oh ok.
*Was all Jinny could say without hinting that she was engaged to him*
Kate: Ok that's all, go out and give this a try, if you have any problems come back and see me.
*With that, everyone leaves. As Jinny is about to go also, Kate calls her back*
Kate: Uh Jin coul you stay a second, and close the door?
Jinny: Sure. she says
She couldn't help but grin from ear to ear. Teddy's proposal made her happier then she ever thought she could be.
Kate: Jinny, you wanna tell me what's going on?
Jinny: Tell you what?
Come on Jinny Kate says laughing a little.
Kate: It's written all over your face. And your hand. You're engaged to Teddy aren't ya?
Jinny: *Sighs* Yeah I am she smiles. He proposed last night.
Kate: Why didn't you tell me.
Jinny: Well I wanted to wait until I was gonna hand out the invites, but I have a feeling I won't make it that long. I already told Mag, and now you know.
Kate: Oh Jin Congradulations.
*She gets up and hugs Jinny. Jinny very happily returns it*
Jinny: Thanks, Captain.
Kate: Come on tell everyone else! I wanna see there expression.
Jinny: Ok I'll go tell them now.
Kate: Yes thank you! She says!
Jinny heads for the door and captain follows close behind.
Jinny is standing in the middle of the Division.
Jinny: Eh hem. I have an announcement to make.
Just as she says that, Teddy walks in. Jinny walks over to him stopping him in the doorway.
Jinny: Oh Teddy you're just in time!
Teddy: Just in time for what? Have you decided to work with me? Jinny: Yeah yeah yeah she says eager to spread the good news.
Jinny: Ok everyone! Teddy and I are engaged! She puts her hand up and wiggles her fingers.
Everyone goes over to Jinny to check out the ring.
CD: Oh my God! The ring is beautiful!
Jinny: Thank you.
Nate: When did this happen?
Jinny: He proposed last night.
Raina: How did he do it though? He was on one knee right?
Jinny and Teddy bust out laughing.
Jinny: Well, not exactly!
Magda: Then how? you never told me that!
Kate: Yeah come on!
Jinny looks over to Teddy.
Jinny: Should we?
Teddy: It's up to you, I don't mind.
Jinny: Well, we were in the tub together, and he had the ring in his hand, and he said he had a surprise for me. He opened his hand to show me the ring, said that he loved me, and proposed.
Everyone is unision: Awwwwwwwwwww
Jinny: Ok don't be getting sentimental on me now!
*Scene fades out*
