Terri remembers hearing a knock on the door. She debated whether or not to answer it. Larry would kill her if he knew that she answered the door looking like this. At this point she didn't care. She grabbed her robe and flew down the stairs. She threw open the door and was stunned to see Jack standing on the other side of the door. She tried to quickly slam the door. He was quicker though! He look at her with tears in his eyes and said "Did he do this to you?"

She merely nodded and he said "Get some clothes! I am getting you out of here!"

She shook her head and said "I can't!! He threatened to kill us both!!"

"Terri, if he beats you like this again he will kill you anyway!! Do you want that!!?"

She shook her head and said "No Jack!! I want to get out of here!!"

Jack flew up the stairs and grabbed the basic clothes! He throws them into a small suitcase and says "I'll buy you more clothes!!"

She looks at him and starts crying!! She can't believe that he is willing to risk everything to help her!! She looked at him and finally said the words she should have told him last night.

"Jack, I need to tell you something. If you hate me for not telling you sooner I will understand...."

"Terri, whatever it is I will understand!! I love you!!"

She finally blurted out the words that were so hard for her to say "I' pregnant Jack!!"

He took a few deep breaths and finally said "It's mine, isn't it?"

Terri nodded and said "Yes Jack!! I'm sorry for not telling you sooner! I was afraid...."

Jack smiled and said "Well, this changes everything!!"

"It does?"

"Yes, honey! It does! I want to be there for our child. For ever and always!!"

"I should go!! I am a danger to you!! I can leave and go away where no one knows me!!"

"Terri!! I won't let you do this alone!! I love you!!"

"I can never be free to marry you!! Larry will never give me a divorce!!"

"There is a way, it's risky, but...."

"What Jack?"

"Well, we need to set a trap for him! A trap that he will never be able to escape from. I know just the person to help!!"

"Are you sure Jack?"

"I am positve sweetheart!! Trust me! It will all be over soon!!"

Terri smiled and sat back in the seat of the car. She watched the miles roll by as she listened to the radio.
