She Remembers.....

She walked into the bar alone. She had met him again after so many years apart. She looked at the stool where she sat the first time. She smiled as she remembered walking over to him. She remembers every word that she said to him. She didn’t look for a relationship with him. Sexual or otherwise, it just happened. She would never say that she was sorry it had happened. It was quite the opposite actually. She would forever be grateful to him. He opened his heart to her when she needed it most. Now she had to break his heart and tell him that she could never see him again. It was going to kill her to do it, but it had to be done.

***Flashback 8 months ago***

She walked into the bar alone. She had just gotten off of work. Her husband was on one of his frequent business trips. She knew what his “business” trips were all about! She was tired of them. Tired of being second to all the women he had slept with after they were married. She entered the bar that night looking for a way to get back at him. She smiled as she watched the men’s heads turn. She sat on a stool and listened to the band playing. She felt someone sit next to her. She didn’t turn her head until she heard him clear his throat. She looked over at him and smiled as she said “Hi Jack! Long time no see!”

She remembers that she smiled at him. He smiled back and asked “Care to dance?”

She remembers nodding to him. She smiled and he led her out to the dance floor. She smiled as they floated around the dance floor. She remembers feeling like they were the only two people in the world. Afterwards she remembered the feeling of his hands on her back. She could remember the feel of her hand in his. She remembers wishing that the night would never end. She even remembers the song that was playing. But what she would never forget was her response to the question that he asked her. He whispered “Care to go back to my place?”

She nodded her head and let him lead her from the dance floor and into his car. They drove in silence. That first night her heart beat so hard that she was sure he could hear it. They pulled up to his house. She smiled as he opened the car door. He held her hand as they walked up to the door. He unlocked the door and they walked inside the house. She remembers dropping her purse at the front door. Then she remembers kissing him. Slowly at first, then deeper and more intense. She remembered every touch of his hands. She remembered looking into his eyes and thinking that if she died at that moment she would be a happy woman. She remembers him asking her “Are you sure this is what you want?”

She remembers nodding her head and saying “I’ve wanted this all my life.”

She remembered him leading her to his bedroom. She remembers the feel of his lips on hers as he unbuttoned her blouse. She remembered feeling it fall to the floor. She remembered him removing her bra. She remembered the feel of his hands on her naked skin. She remembered falling into his bed. She remembered everything about that night. She remembered the way he made love to her. Over and over again. That night would forever live on in her memory. It was the first time she had ever broken her wedding vows. She would never say she was sorry. She wasn’t. She had fallen in love with Jack that night. She awoke the next morning with a smile on her face. She smiled as she watched him sleep. When he woke she smiled as he said “Morning beautiful!”

She remembered smiling at him as he watched her get dressed. She remembered everything about that glorious night they had together. She wondered if they would see each other again.

***Flashback Ends***

She smiled sadly as she thought about how she was going to have to hurt him tonight……

She smiled as she thought back on the past eight months. It wasn't simply one night. It was three or four nights a week. Whenever her husband was out of town and his wife was busy with her charity functions they would get together. If they had both been free she could see herself spending the rest of her life with him. Unfortunately they were both committed to others. Neither she, nor Jack loved their spouses. It was simply easier to stay. Things would get messy if they were to get a divorce. She could truly say that she was in love with Jack Tripper.

She felt a tear slide down her cheek. She hated what she was about to do to him. She didn't see any other way. She had found out today that she was pregnant. It was almost surely Jack's baby. He would insist on being apart of the baby's life. That would hurt too many other people. No, it was better if she broke things off with him. She walked to the bathroom and locked the door. She let the tears flow freely. She wished that she could go back in time. Would she have slept with him that first night? She answered herself honestly. Yes, she would have given herself to him freely that night. That was the one thing she would never regret. She truly loved Jack with everything she had. If only she had realized it all those years ago! Maybe she would never have gotten married. Or maybe they would have married each other and would have had a few kids together. Who knows. All she knew was that she felt miserable. She loved Jack but didn't see any way out of the mess she was in. She wiped her tears and walked out of the bathroom. She heard herself gasp as she saw Jack sitting at their table. She felt the smile spring to her lips. Suddenly the band played their song. She smiled as she approached the table and asked him "Care to dance?"

He smiled and said "Of course!"

The song cut into her heart. She was crying by the ned of it. How she longed to hold him forever. If only things were different. She hated the world and the cirmcustaces that were causing her such pain....

She walked back to the table with Jack. She took his hand in hers and said "I love you so much Jack. I..."

"I love you too! Whatever..."

"Don't speak Jack. It is hard enough to say this. It's over Jack! It was a mistake to get involved with you."

She felt the tears and barely choked the words out. Her heart was breaking with every word she spoke. How untrue those words were. She wished she could change the fates that had them married to other people.

"I don't believe you! I won't believe you..."

"I have to go Jack!! Goodbye!!"

She stood up and turned to run out of the bar. She ran into the one person that she thought would never come into a place like this!! Her husband looked at her and said "I thought I would find you here!! Let's go home and have a talk!!"

She followed him out the door. Why did she feel like a lamb being led to the slaughter. She turned and saw Jack's hearbroken face staring at her. She wished she could run to him and comfort him. She had a feeling that her husband was about to bring her world crashing down around her. She only hoped that she was strong enough to handle it.......

Who knows if this is a Jack and Janet story but I don't care that is who I am thinking and picturing in my head!!! I can't wait for the next chatper!!! Hopefully the husband (In my head Philip) will be upset enough to ask her (Janet) for a divorce and then also tell Jack's wife (Vicky)!! That way Jack and his family can live together happily!!!! .....SO CAN'T WAIT!!!

She remembers driving home that night. She also remembers the feeling of dread in the pit of her stomach. She knew that this had been coming for awhile now. She had just hoped to avoid it for a little longer than this. She walked into the house and threw her purse onto the hallway table. She sighed as she walked into the living room. He was looking out the window and heard her come into the room. She sat down on the couch and sighed.

"So, do you care to explain why you were at the bar with Jack?"

"Can't I have a drink with an old friend without needing your permission?"

"You weren't drinking out on the dance floor. I swear if there hadn't been others around you would have had your clothes off and..."

"Okay! That's enough!!"

"Oh no! I haven't even started yet!! Of all the people you could have slept with it had to be him!! Why?"

"I don't owe you an explanation!"

"Oh, but you do my dear and I intend to get one!!"

She looked at him and laughed. She couldn't believe he was asking her for an explantion to something he had done a thousand times over. She looked at him and said "It hurts when the one you thought loved you sleeps with someone else huh?"

He turns around and slaps her on the face. She smiles and says "I guess I hit the nail on the head!!"

He turns and says "If you see him again I will make you sorry!!"

She turns around and says "Your threats don't work on me anymore Larry Dallas!!"

"Well, they should Terri Dallas!! You will be sorry!!"

"I already am sorry Larry!! Sorry that I ever married you!!"

She turns to walk into the kitchen. He grabs her by the hair and says "I am still talking to you Terri!!"

He throws her into a chair and says angrily "You will listen to me!!!"

She sits in the chair and says "Like you have anything say that I want to hear....."

Meanwhile Jack is just getting home when an angry Janet confronts him and says "Well, look what the cat dragged home!! Did your girlfriend get a better offer?"

He walked past her and said "Shut up Janet!"

He walked into the bedroom and slammed the door. Janet followed him and stormed into their bedroom. "I'm not thru talking to you!!"

"Well, I am thru listening!!"

He undressed and climbed into bed!! Janet stormed over to the bed and said "Don't you dare ignore me Jack!! I have something to tell you!!"

Jack knew he wouldn't get any sleep unless he listened to her. So he said "Talk away Janet!!"

"I'm leaving Jack!!"

"To visit your mother?"

"You wish!! No Jack! I am leaving you for someone else. Someone that loves me for me!!"

"Another man?"

Janet laughed and said "You wish! Actually it isn't another man at all!!"

Jack sighed and said "Janet, you know that I hate when you talk in riddles. What are you talking about!?"

"Just what I said Jack! I'm not leaving you for another man. There is someone else, but it isn't a man!!"

Jack's eyes grow wide as he lets it sink in. Then he says "Do you mean what I think you mean?"

"Yes, Jack! I am leaving you for another woman.."

Jack's eyes bug out and he grows quiet. Then he says "Anyone I know?"

Janet throws her head back and laughs loudly as she says "Actually she is one of your old lovers!!"

Jack thinks for a minute and finally says "I give up Janet!! What are you talking about!?"

The one word stops him cold as she says "Vicky!"

The world starts spinning as the scene ends....

Terri dragged herself out of bed the next morning. Every part of her body hurt. She got up and looked in the mirror. It was then that she remembered what happened the night before.

"You will end this "affair" that you have been having with Jack!!"

"Why should I!? He is the only good thing that has happened to me in the past 5 years of our marriage!!"

"If you don't I will make you both sorry!!"

She looked at him and thought for a minute.

"I am already sorry Larry!!"

He hit her hard across the face. She got out of the chair then. He pulled her by the hair and hit her on the back. She staggered and fell. He kept hitting her. Harder and faster. The more she cried out the harder her hit. She finally stopped struggling and when she got up he pushed her to the bed. For the first time in months he took her. She wanted to cry the entire time. It was not a pleasant experience. Afterwards her body hurt and she got up to go to the bathroom. She threw up in the toilet and looked in the mirror. Her eyes were already starting to blacken and her arms had bruises going up and down them. She started to cry at the sight of herself in the mirror!!

Larry went to work early the next morning. She got out of bed and tried to fix something to eat. She managed to get some toast down and then she went to sit on the couch. She stared into space and let the tears fall....

Meanwhile Jack was trying to comprehend the fact that Janet was leaving their marriage. What surprised him most was that she was leaving him for another woman. Never in a million years could he have seen that one coming. He shrugged his shoulders and walked into the kitchen to make breakfast. He smiled and thought about Terri. How he hoped she would be there for him. She was the one bright spot in his life. It was then he realized that he had fallen in love with her!! Despite everything it might cost he wanted to be together with her forever!!

He was brought out of his daydream by someone pounding on the door. He got up to answer it and was surprised to find Larry standing on the other side. Larry came close to him and punched him in the mouth! Then he screamed "Stay away from my wife!!"

Jack smiled and said "Does it bother you that I know the places to touch her!? The places that make her scream out in pleasure!! The places that have her begging for more!!"

Larry turned bright red and said "She is mine Jack Tripper!!"

Jack said "No one owns Terri!!"

Larry looked at Jack and said "She is a frigid woman!! She can't please me so..."

"She is that last woman I would ever call frigid!! She is the warmest woman in the world. She does this thing with her tongue and..."

It was then that Larry said "Just stay away from her or you will both be very sorry!!"

He stormed off and left Jack wondering what he could mean by that.....
