I don't think so either. They'll air a repeat of something most likely. Unless they are going to completely roll over for the Olympics that night.

No way they can air a repeat of The Bachelor: Paris that night though, since now the episodes will be two hours. Unless they air a recap hour.

WOW...

The "Dancing" results show, 10.0/17, snagged the biggest audience of the night at 8 p.m. A rerun of "Ghost Whisperer," 5.4/9, put CBS in second. "Most Outrageous TV Moments" finished third for NBC, ahead of "Friday Night Smackdown!," 2.8/5, on UPN. FOX averaged 2.4/4 with two episodes of "The Bernie Mac Show." The WB went with "What I Like About You" and "Living with Fran."

A 17 share on a Friday!!!

I'm guessing, knowing ABC, they'll put on another edition in March and run it through May and kill the show. They are, afterall, the same network that ran Millionaire into the ground.

I'd air it again March-May too. If The Apprentice, Survivor, can air multiple times a season, why not Dancing? 2 or 3 rotations a year would be enough, anything more would be overkill.

Well The Apprentice is now suffering in the ratings too. It's not the smash hit it was when it started(like DWTS is now).

Oh and Survivor's back in 2 weeks. I'm very interested to see that battle. Based on the ratings, it looks like a lot of people who watch DWTS don't normally watch TV, because the competition hasn't suffered from ABC's ratings increase.

Would ABC stop with this Jake In Progress already. They promoted it like I never saw a new show promoted last year, they moved it to three different time slots, and it never gets a rating. McPherson just has to realize maybe America just doesn't like this show as much as he does. I have always been a John Stamos fan, but this show is just not good.

I'm sure the show will be back some time this summer when they have some empty timeslots and they want to burn off the remaining episodes.

Jake is now cancelled...

Futon Critic:

As for the sophomore comedy "Jake in Progress," Jane Espenson, a co-executive producer on the series, confirmed on her blog that "J.I.P. R.I.P." - "Hey, remember Buffy's mom? She had that brain tumor and she got really sick. But then she turned a corner and she got better, stronger, healthier every week. And then she dropped dead and it felt like the floor fell out from under your feet. That's what happened to Jake in Progress this week. Every day, it seemed more and more likely that we were going to film the entire order, to shoot all 13 episodes. We showed up for work on Thursday, expecting to actually spend a late night re-writing episode ten. Then, not so much. Jake was gone." It's not clear exactly how many episodes of the original 13-episode order were actually shot. The announcement comes despite assurances earlier in the week that "Jake" would complete its production run.

I read in the paper today that John Stamos might be showing up on "E.R." soon in a recurring role.

He actually gave up a contract role on ER because they renewed Jake In Progress. He did a couple guest spots on there in November, and the role was left open ended.

Why in the world did ABC renew Jake in Progress after it bombed as a mid-season last year?

I am really not surprised at all. Both of these shows looked awful in their ad spots. It sucks they were pulled so soon, but really it isnt that amazing.
