I don't know about that. I love figure skating, and the pairs competition is supposed to finish on Monday, 2/13. On Monday, 2/20, it's ice dancing. If these two competitions happen between 9-10pm, I won't be seeing them. I will definitely be watching "24" on FOX. This show is a must-see-every-episode, and they do NOT show re-runs. Olympics lose.

Exactly Their's no way I would ever miss an episode of 24 no matter what was airing opposite it.

True... but 24 pulls in an 8 rating. The Olympics will get at least a 14-15 rating, maybe higher.

The only shows that have a chance IMO are DH, Grey's Anatomy, and Idol. Everything else would surprise me.

Frankly, I don't have a clue about ratings, nor do I care about them. They rarely represent my viewing habits. I wonder just what that 8 rating means. 8 vs 100? 8 vs 10? I honestly have no idea what "8 rating" means. 24 is a successful franchise, in its 5th year and with a movie in the works. Yet "8 rating" makes it sound like a failure.

24 may not gain viewership during the Olympics, but I doubt that it will lose any either.

Oh it's defintely not going to be cancelled... it's a pretty big hit for a Monday and for FOX(compared to most of their other shows except for Idol and House). I was just making a point that 24 won't beat the Olympics, which is true. Hey, I know it has fans. I'll be watching DH, Commander-in-Chief, and Survivor instead of the Olympics, but will be watching a LOT of the Olympics as well.

Here was the Top 20 last week from Zap2it, the bolded numbers is number of viewers in Millions.

I think CBS is smart. I think it will obviously frustrate fans of those shows who DON'T watch the Olympics. Either way no one is ever going to be happy. Why bicker about it?

FOX won't be hurting too badly, IMO. If CBS/ABC, etc. are in reruns, I think it could only HELP Fox, and The WB, etc. Idol will still get huge numbers. 24 will still do well. Survivor will still do well. Grey's will still do well.

It's not the end of the world. Ratings will probably drop a bit but they won't be anemic.

An 8 rating means that 8% of all households in the US were watching 24 (out of 110 million households). It's definitely not a failure.
