The black guy who plays on here as a gay cop, what is his real name? I saw him in the movies Boogie Nights, The Great White Hype, Cradle 2 The Grave. I can't believe his character was gay on The Shield. He didn't seem like he was gay. Did he ever have sex with another dude on here? I don't watch this show often enough like i should. The white guy who is the star of the show is a good actor.

The actor who plays Julien, Michael Jace, is not gay in real life. Early in the series, Julien had a boyfriend named Tomas. Sexual acts they performed together were only implied or alluded to. Toward the end of Season One, the reverend at Julien's church got him into "sexual reorientation therapy." During the second season, Julien married a woman named Vanessa, whose ten-year-old son had been arrested for robbing a hardware store and vandalizing.
