I don;t think so because she was WORST than Mabel. And the worst thing was she had a LARGER ROLE than Mabel which made That's My Mama a horrble show. I still say if this show had Esther Rolle as the Mom and The guy who played Mad Dog on Good Times as the Son , it would have been a HUGE HIT |

Well I must admit, that Clifton Davis is a very dry type of actor. He was boring on Amen.

Thats my Mama is a good show. It isn't great but its above average and still better than a lot of today's sitcoms.

The main characters were just too dry on this show. I like these shows better than that's my mama Sanford Arms Baby I'm Back Grady is on the same level of That's My Mama |

That's why I'm confused that Baby I'm Back lasted only 13 eps and that's My Mama lasted 39 eps. |

Soloman, why would you even want to compare all black sitcoms with each other to begin with? I wouldn't compare an all-white show with another all-white show, or compare "Freddie" with "George Lopez". That's ridiculous. If all black shows were created to stand up with or be compared with other black shows, then, there would be no need for any new shows.
