Default The women of In Living Color

Earlier someone posted a thread about the women of All That, with season 4 being released on DVD this week, I decided to follow that with a thread about the women of In Living Color.

I listed all of the female castmembers from the first 4 seasons of In Living Color. And ranked them. I decided not to list any of the female castmembers from season 5, because I don't remember them that well, and season 5 is a season I just want to forget.

I thought In Living Color, like the original Saturday Night Live before it was a boys club. The male castmembers got much more screen time and got a bigger push.

1) Kim Wayans - she tops my list, because of the Miss. Bonita character. That character was so funny, "Better not say anything bad about Miss Jenkens. I Love Luqueta was also very funny. Her impression of Oprah was one of the funniest Oprah impressions ever.

2) T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh - excuse more for the spelling, but her name is hard to spell. I'll fix it later. For 3 season she and Kim Wayans were the only african american female castmembers. While Kim's characters were all very ghetto, a lot of T'Keyah characters were the opposite. She had a caucation sounding voice. Though she had some ghetto characters. I liked the Go On Girl sketch, and the author that encourages spouse abuse with african american couples. And she was very funny as Damon Wayan's wife in the Hey Mon sketch.

3) Kelly Coffield - she is best remembered of being the only original caucation female castmember. I liked her hasben b list 70's actress character. I found her voice annoying at times.

4) Kim Coles - unfortunitely, Kim was not the show long enough to have any memorable characters. The only character I remember is as the daughter in the Hey Mon sketch. But her post ILC work proves she was very funny.

5) Alexander Wentworth - didn't have any characters I am found of. I remember most of her characters were either bimbo and / or a snob.

Don't forget about Carol Rosenthal and Anne-Marie Johnson, who were both added to the cast in the final season.

I said before, I didn't list them because I don't remember the last season of In Living Color that well. All I remember is the last season was terriable. It was as bad as any bad season of SNL, or bad as the new All That.

Alexandra Wentworth is now married to George Stephanopolous. I believe they have one child.
Kim Wayans, appeared on Oprah several months back and totally apologized to Oprah for those skits she did of her...very serious moment that was...
