Then this would mean that The Jeffersons wasn't a spinoff from All In The Family. Look at how different Jenny and her parents are in their first AITF episode as compared to TJ.

Yea but they were the same characters, just played by different actors.

Yes there was a Different Helen, Tom, and Jenny in the episode-"Lionel's Engagement" but that was in January of 1974. When it came time for the Jeffersons to be spinned off, The same Willises that was in the Jeffersons Pilot were also in the First episode of The Jeffersons. So yes the Jeffersons is a SPINOFF. Good Times is Not

From what I have been seeing, it seems as though you are arguing that it is based on your own opinion. It is very clear and always will be............. that Maude did participate in launching Good Times onto TV.

Well unfortunately, that still does not prove anything. LOL. Besides, someone on the board stated that those two airdates were not accurate because they were around when the shows debuted. But then again, maybe the individual was mistaken. I know my TV book does have those dates too but even so, that is absolutely noooo ground base to prove that GT was not spun off by Maude.

Really? So Florida already being in Chicago while her farewell ep on Maude hadn't aired yet means nothing?-lol

Feb 1, 74-Evans having rent problem

Feb 5, 74-Florida still on Maude

LOL

Uh, RTVC, you are aware that the network was well within their rights to air out of sequence if they opted to, right? LOL. The way the shows were aired have nothing to do with the fact that one was spun off from another in any way, shape, or form.

I wish i still had a copy of the 74 Article with Executive Producer Alan Manings saying that Good Times was not a spinoff.

You could settle the issue by just imagining an alternate universe with 2 Floridas
