We're almost done with it, I'll have it up in less than a week...but I have to tell you the backround surrounding it. Basically...Phillip and Maggie are married, but Phillip finds out that Maggie had a baby girl when she was 16 years old and she gave her up for adoption. It just so happens that the same girl that she gave up for adoption is up for a scholorship to play softball through Phillip's company, well they get together and talk and they become really close. That girl is McKayla. McKayla then has a boyfriend(later a fiance and later husband) named Mark. The four of them go on a weekend campout and the girls become pregnant...and now, 9 months later, one of them(I'm not revealing which one) is in labor...and that's the backround behind our story! So when you see Mark and McKayla's names and they're talking, you'll know who they are!

*Phillip walks in from work*
Phillip: Anyone here?
Pearl: just me Mr. Drummond
Philip: Hi Pearl! Where is Maggie
Pearl: She's still at work
Phillip: oh...I didn't think she was going in today because McKayla and Mark are coming over
Pearl: She wasn't going to but they called her and asked her to come in for a few hours, so she said she would.
Phillip: Oh...sounds good, when will she be home?
Pearl: Well she went in about 12 and it's 2:30 now, so I would assume any time.
*Arnold and Sam walk in*
Arnold: Hi Dad...whats up?
Sam: Hi Mr D...you're home early
Phillip: Yeah, I got off a bit earlier, I was going to come home and surprise your mother, but she's not home!
Arnold: I know...I saw her driving into the mall parking lot when we were walking home from school
Phillip: THE MALL?
Arnold: Yeah
Phillip: Hm....I wonder what that's about
Pearl: she probably wanted to pick up a few things
Sam: I don't know, but me and Arnold have to do our homework, so we'll be upstairs
Phillip: Ok boys, if you need any help just hollar
Arnold: Ok, we will dad
*Maggie walks in*
Maggie: well what are you doing home?
Phillip: (hugs her) I came home to surprise you
Maggie: well I’m surprised
Phillip: the boys said they saw you driving into the mall on their way home
Maggie: Oh! Daisy took me out to lunch but I drove my car
Phillip: Oh, ok...so did you have a good day?
Maggie: as good as I can...what time is McKayla coming
Phillip: I think her and Mark are coming over in about an hour
Maggie: good...that means I can sleep for an hour
Phillip: Yeah, go ahead, I'll wake you up when they get here sweetheart.
Maggie: thank you! I have been so tired all day! well, thats being pregnant for ya!
Phillip: Well it will all be over soon! (kisses her) I love you

McKayla: Hi Arnold, where is my mom?
Arnold: upstairs sleeping...I'll get Dad to wake her up
McKayla: No, I'll go do it. I want to surprise her
Arnold: go right ahead...she's in her room
McKayla: Ok, thanks Arnold!
Mark: hey short man what’s up
Arnold: nuthin Jolly Green Giant

Mark: That's cool! How's married life?
Arnold: I’m not married...
Mark: Oh man Arnold, you're missing out!!! (laughs)
Arnold: Are you INSANE?
Mark: No
Arnold: Dillusional?

Arnold: Then you must be just plain crazy...
Mark: Well maybe!

Arnold: Yeah...that's what I meant. I know that Maggie is excited...but she's always tired
Mark: oh well...Im used to that part...im the oldest of 5 kids
Arnold: GEEZ! That's a lot!
Mark: well, your dad and Maggie combined are going to have 6 kids
Arnold: I never thought about that...
McKayla: never thought about what
Arnold: nothing much...just the fact that between Dad and Maggie there is going to be 6 kids
McKayla: Yeah I know....Mark is one of 5
Mark: i told him
Sam: I never thought about that either...I have 5 brothers and sisters
Arnold: Not yet Sam...
Sam: well soon!
Arnold: Yeah....but hopefully not THAT soon.
Phillip: why not Arnold?
Arnold: I don't know....All the crying and dirty diapers! Even though they'll worship me
Sam: nah uh they'll worship me!
Arnold: No, I'm older
Sam: so you'll be going to college by the time they worship anybody!
Arnold: No, I don't think so
McKayla: Before this argument turns violent I am going to tell y'all right now that they will worship me and mom because, well we're the moms, right mom?

McKayla: What's wrong mom?
Maggie: The baby is coming
McKayla: Oh....WAIT WHAT DID YOU SAY
Maggie: The baby is coming
Phillip: Really? Now?
Arnold: I say I don’t want the baby to come just yet and look what happens-- the baby is on its way
Maggie: I'm sorry Arnold, it can't be helped
McKayla: Mom...is your bag packed?
Maggie: it has been for 3 weeks
McKayla: Ok good, Arnold, could you go get it for us?
Sam: I'll go too
Phillip: I'll umm---I'll...
Maggie: Take me out to the car
Phillip: oh right!
McKayla: *whispers to Mark* if you act that clueless I will hurt you
Mark: He's just nervous hunny
McKayla: so what...come on guys!! We’ve got to go! Babies don’t wait all day ya know!
Maggie: You're telling me....LET'S GO!
Arnold: We're coming!
Sam: Yeah...we couldn't find it!
Phillip: All right everyone, let's go
Maggie: thank you mr commando!

*at the hospital*

*in the waiting room everyone is anxiously waiting*
McKayla: Whew...I'm glad we're here
Maggie: You are? YOU ARE?
Mark: why are you so happy McKayla
McKayla: I guess I just am thinking about how soon we'll be here.
Maggie: Don’t get all sentimental on me please!!
McKayla: I'm not getting sentimental
Maggie: Well you sound like it to me!
McKayla: Well I'm not!
Mark: Well, you kind of were...
McKayla: you be quiet
Phillip: Just everyone calm down....Maggie is in a lot of pain
Maggie: *shoots Phillip a look that could kill* I am not not..Im fine
Phillip: Sure you are Maggie...why don't I go get us checked in...McKayla and Mark....stay with Maggie and watch the boys for me.
Maggie: *shouting to Phillip* Im not in pain Im perfectly fine!! You wouldn't know anyway!
Phillip: Then why are you squinching and holding your stomach?
Maggie: I’m not!
Phillip: I'm looking right AT you!
*Phillip walks away smiling and shaking his head*
*McKayla takes her mother to one side of the bench.*
McKayla: Mom...how bad is it REALLY?
Maggie: you really want to know?

McKayla: Yes...I think so
Maggie: Its like having a piano fall on top of you
McKayla: Oh great....that's JUST what I wanted to hear....but can't they knock you out or something?
Maggie: Oh yeah I forgot about that stuff
McKayla: So it won't be THAT bad....will it?
Maggie: well I always wait too long to get the anesthetic...that’s when it’s bad
McKayla: How long is too long? I need to know these things mom.
Maggie: That’s the catch...you never know!
McKayla: Oh great...you look like you're in pain...I just wish I could help you.
Maggie: Watch the boys...that will help Phillip and me
McKayla: Of course I will mom, you know that. Maybe if I rub your stomach it will help...do you think? Like a bad tummy ache?
Maggie: No...nothing helps...its like an illness with no cure...at least for the time being
*Phillip comes back*
Phillip: they have a room for you all ready and the doctor wants you in there asap
Maggie:All right...I'm coming
Phillip: Aren't you going to sit in the wheelchair?
Maggie: No, I don't need a wheelchair, I'm fine
Phillip: USE THE WHEELCHAIR MAGGIE!
Maggie: All right all right....don't get so testy
McKayla: Good luck momma...I'll be waiting right here until the end.
Maggie: You'll be waiting a while
McKayla: Maybe later on I'll come in and visit you....make sure you're ok and not dying. If that's ok with you of course.
Maggie: You know what you said about helping?
McKayla: Yeah...
Maggie: Mentioning the word dying isn’t helping!
McKayla: Oh, ok....I'm sorry momma. You'll be fine!

McKayla: Just hang in there! And remember to breathe!
Maggie: I may be ditzy but I’m not that dumb! *laughs*

Maggie: We had ideas...we were arguing about them when Sam tried to run away remember
Phillip: Yeah..but it didn't really result in anything, because we kept disagreeing

Phillip: ok bye *he walks out and Maggie just looks stunned....5 secinds later he speed walks back in* ok i couldnt leave im sorry!

Phillip: It's not that I WOULDN'T, it's just that I figured I should be here

Phillip: So what if I am....I don't care! TELL ME YOUR IDEA OR I REALLY AM LEAVING!
*Phillip turns to exit the room and very slowly starts walking out*
Maggie: How can I tell you if we dont know if its a boy or a girl yet?
Phillip: Just tell me your idea....PLEASE sweetheart..it's driving me insane. Now you know I won't leave you, because I don't think that's right, but I just really want to know.
Maggie: We could combine the names we picked...one of yours one of mine...first name, middle name
Phillip: Oh hunny! That's a great idea *kisses her* I would have never thought of that!
Maggie: I know...that’s why I did
Phillip: You're fantastic...you know that? And I love you so much
Maggie: What’s with people getting mushy on me today, huh?

Phillip: You know that I would trade you places in a second, just so you wouldn't have to feel an ounce of pain!
Maggie: oh you'll be in pain...not right now but you will when this baby actually wants to be born
Phillip: Is that a threat...or a promise? *kisses her on the forehead*

Maggie: uh huh...cause when you gimme your hand, the jaws of life wont even be enough to seperate us. OK?

Sam: hi Momma how do you feel?
Maggie: *puts on fake smile* Oh I'm fine...
Arnold: Hey dad *goes over and fake punches him* How are things?
Phillip: Fine...just biding our time
Arnold: Thats good...well Sam just wanted to say hi...cmon Sam lets leave them alone
*as they exit the doctor walks in*
Doctor: hi boys
Arnold: Doc, give them something they say they are fine but they look awful! *leaves*

Doctor: Ok...let's check you out Maggie
Maggie: I would appreciate that
Phillip: I'll wait outside
Doctor: Well Maggie...you're about 7 centimeters, it shouldn't be too long now! Mr. Drummond, you can come back in now.
Maggie: Thank you doctor...do you think I could get some medication?
Doctor: I'll send someone in
Maggie: Thank you
Phillip: Yes, thank you
Maggie: why did you say thank you?
Phillip: For giving you some medication...because you NEED it...
Maggie: *sarcastically* well that’s a sweet thing to say!!
Phillip: I meant that in the best possible way, I just don't want you to be in pain any longer than you have to be!
Maggie: uh huh...
Phillip: Did the doctor say how much longer it would be?
Maggie: Not long

Phillip: Maggie, I know I haven't been the BEST throughout this whole ordeal, the labor or the pregnancy, but I just want you to know that I love you and I admire you for going through this!
Maggie: Thank you.... now, lets make a decision right now

Maggie: about the names because i cant stop thinking about it!
Phillip: All right....well let's do a girl name first....what do YOU want it to be named?
Maggie: Like I said about combining the names...you liked Michelle and I liked Lori...how about Lori Michelle?
Phillip: I like that...it has a certain ring to it!
