Nate sat in the little Italian place on polk, looking at his watch for the millionth time. The last words he had heard from CD kept on ringing in his head. "I"m not gonna change my mind, I'm not gonna change my mind, I'm not gonna change my mind" "but she must of changed" he thought "or else she would of been here by now." Nate tried her cell phone again. "Just her voice mail" he thought. Then he heard her voice "Hi! this is C.D. DeLorenzo, leave a message!" Too bad it's not her real voice. "hey, it's Nate again, I'm waiting, hope everythings ok" he hung up. "man, I'm gonna give her five more minutes". he took a drink of his soda, looked at his watch, and sighed. Left a few bucks on the table for his drink, and walked out

Jinny sighed. Running her hands through her hair she thought "why did I sleep with Jack? It is so over". She was thankful for all his help with her drug addiction, but she couldn't imagine spending the rest of her life with him. One name kept on going around and around in her head, a name she hadn't thought of in a long time. She had no idea why this name came to her, because she didn't even like this person when she had first met this person. With tears streaming down her face, she sighed and picked up the phone.

Kate had just gotten out of the shower when the phone rang. "it's a little late for calls, isn't it?" she thought out loud. She picked up the phone "hello?" "hey cap, it's Nate. I know it's late, but your my last hope. I'm really worried about CD. I can't find her anywhere" "why would you be worried about her?" Kate asked "It's a long story, and I don't have much time. I"ve always had a sixth sense when somerhing bad happens, and I feel it now" "sorry, Nate, I can't help you, I would really like to, but feel free to call me back when you know something" Kate hung up. "thanks for all your help, Cap" Nate mumbled under his breath, a little angry

Jinny rumbled through all her drawers, but couldn't find the number. "damn it, it's not in my caller id memory anymore" she said to herself. "who else would have this number?" she looked through the phone book. "great, not listed". She tore apart her apartment, and when she was finished she was disgusted "why on earth did I tear my apartment apart? Sheesh! it's just a telephone number" she said. Then, just when she had turned her apartment back to normal, there was a knock on the door.

Nate rethought his last moments with CD,trying to understand why she might have stood him up. Then he smacked his forehead, "of course! she's at the hospital! I'm such an idiot". He ran to his car, and the wheels schreeched as as he pulled out of the parking garage. He was thinking about CD and everything going on he payed no attention to the speedometer. Sirens broke his train of thought, and he winced as he pulled over.


Jinny looked through her peephole and a shiver went down her spine. She opened the door. "hi" she said. Ronnie, her half sister, stood there smiling. "hey, Jin, I'm glad you're home. I've tried calling all evening, but you must've been on the internet" "no, um Ronnie, I think there's something wrong with my phone. What can I do for you?" Jinny was a little confused and putout, looking at this sister of hers, probably the reason her mother had commited suicide, 25 odd years ago. "Well, Jin, just because I dropped by doesn't mean I want something, but now that you have mentioned it, I could ask of you a little something? Ronnie looked a little embarressed, but Jinny's eye's narrowed, she just stared ahead at Ronnie. "um, Jin, can I come in and we can talk?" Jinny just rolled her eyes, and steeped aside. Ronnie smiled and rushed in.

Nate rolled down his window, and the cop walking up to his window. Nate pulled out his police ID. "Hey, bub, I'm SFPD, and I'm on official police business." Nate said sternly. "Sorry, sir, um, drive safe." the officer backed away from Nate's car slowly. Nate rolled up his wondow and pushed the peddle to the floor. "Great, that lost five minutes of time" Nate screwed around with the radio, trying to find an accident report. "No, she hasn't been in an accident I don't think" Nate said to himself as he pulled up to the hospital. Nate jumped out of his car and ran into the hospital. "What room number is Gina Brackens?" he said to the receptionist. "Just a minute, let me check" Nate became impatient. He pulled out his SFPD star again. "Hey, lady, police business" "um, sorry sir, it appears that Gina didn't make it" the receptionist said. "Let me talk to her doctor" Nate demamded. "I'll be right back with him" the receptionist left. "This is a terrible nightmare" Nate mumbled


Ronnie sat down at the kitchen table and smiled. "So, how have you been doing Jin?" "soso, now what is all this about?" "where's Jack?" Ronnie asked innocently. "None of your damn business! Now cut the crap and spill" Jinny was becoming angry. "Is he working late? Jack I mean" Ronnie pesisted. "If it'll make you shutup, he's on a business trip" "oh, well, I have a big favor to ask of you, and you know I wouldn't ask you if I had another choice, but you're my last resort. My friend in NewYork is very sick, and I need to go stay with her for a while" "what has that got to do with me?" Jinny asked. Ronnie replied "I need you to watch my son for a while"

Nate thought back, and relized that Liz must have been the last person to see Gina alive. It dawned on Nate that CD figured it out that Liz killed Gina, and went to Liz's apartment to confront her. Nate ran out of the building and went straight to his car. Nate jumped into his car. Put his keys into the ignition. Whrrr! it didn't start. He tried it again Whrrr! Nope, he tried it about six more times, no luck. Nate laid down his head on the stearing wheel and cried. Not sobbing, but tears of exhaustion, tears of sadness. "God" Nate said "I don't talk to you much, and I'm sorry for that. but if you're up there, please help me" Nate tried to start the car again, and it mercifully started.

Jiinny stated to laugh. "you're joking right? Me watch someones kid? Please" "Jin, I really need your help. I know we havn't been the closest of sisters," "We're not sisters. Your mother just happened to get some of my dad's sperm. I'm not your "sister"' Jinny interupted. "Jin, you're making this more difficult than it has to be. Now please, I'm begging you, watch my son." Ronnie pleaded. "You know, I'm not in the most stable place in my life now, and I can't be responsible for some one else's kid." "What do you mean, Jin? You're sober, and you have a great guy who loves you. What do you mean you're not stable?" "I'm just not, ok?" "No it's not okay. Tell me." "No!" "Jin, I want to know" "I kicked him out, damn it, now will you get off my back?" Jinny screamed "Kicked who out?" Ronnie asked "Jack. Are you happy now? Now you know all my personal problems." Nate drove crazilly back to his apartment, and ran inside, almost tripping over the rug. He ran to his hall closet, ripped it open, and started throwing jackets, clothes, shoes, everything out till he found the phone book. "Rue, Rue, Rue, aha! here she is!" He ripped out the page, and ran back down the car. Nate doesn't know how, but the location of where Liz lives just came to him, when he heard her street name. Nate pulled up in front of her house, and saw CD's car. Nate ran out of his car, and tried the door nob. Locked. Nate kicked the door in, and gasped. "CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Nate pulled out his cell phone "officer down, officer down, I need backup!" Nate cradled CD in his arms, and whispered "I love you"

Jinny yawned, and crawled into bed, and fell asleep after a while, thinking about the days events. She fell into a deep sleep, and had a very strange dream.She dreamt that she was drowning, and had to chose between a lifeboat with Jack on it, and one with Teddy on it. They were both holding out there arms to her, and then Teddy called out these numbers: 555-7483. Jinny gasped and woke up, and reached for her phone, and dialed in the numbers. "Hello, I'm so sorry to call you so late at night, but I needed to talk. Is this Teddy?"

Wow, that was soooo gooood! I wish I could write stuff that interesting! Hurry up and post more soon!

The ambulance showed up shortly, and put CD into it and whisked her off to the hospital. She had a slight heartbeat and so there was hope she would survive. Liz did not make it, but that was not a big loss, then they wouldn't have to go through trial and all that. Nate rode in the ambulance all the way, and waited in the waiting room all night. A few hours later, the doctor came out and pulled Nate aside. "Are you her husband?" the doctor asked. "Um, no," Nate replied. "Well, you're marked as her next of kin." the doctor said. "Really? oh, well, she doesn't have any family, so maybe that's why." Nate said. "Well, anyway, she lost alot of blood. she's very lucky you found her when you did. If she was there even ten minutes longer, she would have died." The doctor said. "Can I donate blood? I'm the same type as her." Nate asked. "Sure" said the doctor "I'll get a nurse out here right away." Nate got out his cell phone, and called Kate. "um, hi, cap this is Nate. So sorry to call you so late, but I found CD. Liz shot her. um, it's a long story, but she's missing alot of blood. What blood tyope are you?" Kate wasn't the same blood type, but she went down to the office and looked up everyone's file to see what blood type they are, so they can donate blood. Nate was slightly relieved, but still he felt as if someone had punched him in the stomach. He was so worried. In no time at all, after he had given his blood, Rina came down, as well as a few other cops that they had worked with over the years. Nate was so happy. "hey, Nate, how are you doing?" Rina asked Nate. "um, I'm just really shocked." "yeah, I hope they can save her." Rina stayed with Nate all night, and they sar in the waiting room in silence

""Teddy, after Jack and I split up, you're the only person I want to be with. Please, at least have coffee with me tomorrow, so I can talk to you." Fine, 2:30 tomorrow, and for one hour, that's all." "Great, I'll see you at the Panera's then, is that ok?" "Yeah, whatever" and with that Teddy hung up. Jinny smiled and jumped up to clean, she felt energized for some reason. Then the phone rang. "Hello?" "hi, Jinny, it's Magda. I just got a call from Rina, um CD was shot, and she's in the hospital. I thought you should know. " "Oh my God, how did it happen?" "Something about Liz Rue. Just, first thing tomorrow go down to the hospital and visit her. " "Ok, I will, I'll talk to you tomorrow." JInny went back to bed,. She thought about poor CD. With a problem like that, it made her own problems seem so small

Nate spent the next week by CD's side waiting and waiting fo her to become conscious. Finally, after several blood infusions and three weeks unconcious, she came too. Nate had dozed off, and woke up after a few minutes, and found CD's eys open. "Hey," CD managed to say. "Hey, I'm so glad you're awake. How do you feel?" "Um, tired, but mostly ok. How long have I been out?" Nate din't want to scare her, so he said "only a few days." "how am I?" "Well, you lost alot of blood, but luckily you have the same blood type as me and Rina, and a whole bunch of other cops donated too. Jinny couldn't help smiling. She was finally with the man she knew she was meant to be with. "Hi, Jin. Why did you want to get together?" "um, well, do you want me to be perfectly honest?" "yes." "well, for the past few months I have been married to someone, but it has fallen through. And I know why, because we are meant to be together." Jinny blurted out. Teddy started to laugh. "what, don't laugh at me!" Jinny started to be a little embaressed. "Jinny, we've gone over this a million times. We don't work together." Teddy replied. "but, I'm willing to work hard on this." "Like you worked hard on the marriage that just failed?" "Hey, that is none of your business" Jinny was cross. "Hey, if you want to get back together with me, it had better be my business." Teddy was keeping his cool, and that made Jinny even more cross. "Besides, Jinny, I've got a girlfriend." "oh." Jinny felt her face getting red. "Um, well, I've gotta go." Jinny stood up to leave. "but, we havn't even had the coffee yet." Teddy seemed to enjoy this. "Um, I'll call you in a few days, maybe, and I don't know, maybe we can at least be friends." "i'd like that." with that Jinny walked out.

Jinny took the rest of the day off, and picked up a 12 pack of diet coke, to drown her sorrows in. She refused to let the drinking get the best of her again. Jinny got off the elevator, and walked down the hall. She stopped dead in her tracks. At her front hall, was Ronnie with her son. "Um, hi" Jinny said. "Well, we've been waiting here for about 5 hours. You wouldn't pick up your cell phone" "oh, was that you? um, I've had a lot of work today, couldn't pick up. Well, would you like to come in?" Ronnie was a little cross. "um, my plain leaves in about 30 minutes, so I don't have time to explain stuff to you. I'll call you from the plane, PLEASE pick up the phone. Ronnie ran out
"Well, hi, I'm Aunt Jinny. What do you wanna do?" then the little boy started crying.
This was all new to Jinny. She had never babysat as a kid. she spent the next week trying to take care of this kid, and go to the hospital to visit Cd, she, Rina, and Magda took turns being there when Nate was trying to sleep, because he didn't want Cd to be alone. Jinny thought that was so sweet and romantic, if only she could find a guy like Nate, she sighed. Oh well, maybe next time. Jinny had to go to the doctor though, because she had been throwing up every morning before work. "Mag?" "what, Jin?" "can you babysit for me this afternoon, I've gotta go to the doctor." "sure, I'll pick him up for you from school." Jinny sighed and walked out to her car.

CD's eyes popped open. she looked around the room. Outside the hall with his back to her stood a familiar man. He was talking to the doctor. He turned around and walked in, smiling. "Hey, sunshine, the doctor says I can take you home tomorrow. He says you have made a speedy recovery." "Great, I can hardly wait" CD smiled. "Nate, come here. No I mean, i need to whisper something to you." Nate bent down, and CD put her hand on her cheek, and kissed him. She looked into his eyes. "Thanks" she said. Her eyes filled with tears. Nate smiled. "Can I get you anything?" he asked her. "no, I'm just gonna go back to sleep. I need to rest up if I'm gonna go home tomorrow." Cd turned over and went closed her eyes. "It's a good thing I had just finished a breath mint" she thought as she drifted of to sleep, where she dreamed of nothing else but Nate, the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

Jinny sat in the waiting room of the doctor's office, looking through Good Housekeeping, but couldn't concentrate. She didn't know what was wrong with her, she was worried that she might have cancer. She had never experienced anything like this before.
The nursecame out the door. "Jinny?" Jinny got up, and walked back with her. "please step on the scale Jinny." the nurse said. "Why, every single frickin' time, when I come to the doctor, do I have to step on the stupid scale? If I come in for an earache, hear come's the scale. Once, I came in, didn't weigh me, and i thought yay! But, no, at the end of the exam, you guys must of thought 'don't let that Exstead woman get away without waying her' so out came the scale again!" the nurse stood there with a bizarre look on her face. "please step on the scale Jinny" Jinny sighed and stepped on.
The nurse gave Jinny a hospital paper shirt to change into, and Jinny sat there shivering, waiting for the doctor to come in. The doctor came in after a while "so, Mrs. Ellis, what seems to be the problem?" "um, well, I'm tired all the time, I can't concentrate on anything, and I through up every moning. Do you think I might have cancer?" she asked worriedly. the doctor laughed a little. "no, ma'am, don't worry about that. But it sounds to me like you might be pregnant."

LOL that was cute and funny! :)

And the weighing... (to quote Tracey in Boston Grace) "Damn hospital bureaucracy..."

At the hospital where I worked that was routine too... except where I worked we had to put the people into scale-chairs because most of them hardly even could stand on their own...

:( I miss working there... I definitely don't miss the crap that was going on though... but enough of that.

Nate parked in his slot, and turned off the car. He looked over at CD, sitting in the front seat. "what? what are you looking at?" CD giggled. yeah, I know, i havn't put on my make-up in a while." she blushed. "no, no, no, you look beautiful" Nate brusshed her hair off her cheek. "Can I carry you in?" Nate asked. "No, Nate, silly. I'll be fine." Nate ran out of the car, and went over to open CD's door. "Nate, you're silly" she laughed and got out. "It feels good to walk around" CD smiled, and walked in. When she got to his apartment door, he opened it up and CD gasped. "Nate! My stuff in here too!" She turned and looked at him. He put down her bags, and got down on one knee. He pulled a little box from his pocket, and looked up into her beautiful blue eyes. "CD, i have loved you since the day I layed eyes on you. It tore me up when you were still with Paul, and when you were with that attorney guy. So now that I have you, I never want to let you go. Please be mine, and marry me." CD's eyes filled with tears. "Oh, Nate, come here" Nate got up and hugged her. "Of course I'll marry you." CD whispered. Nate slipped the ring on her finger, a perfect size. "How did you get it to fit so perfectly?" she asked. "and you found the exact one I wanted." Nate smiled. "well, one day I opened my planner and tucked inside was a picture of this ring, with the size circled" CD blushed. "Gee, how did that happen?" She grinned and they kissed. Nate shut the door. And the rest of that night is history.

The nurse gave her prenatal vitamins, apointments for check ups, and so on. Jinny drove to Magda's house. "Hi, Ben. Hi, sweetie. Um can you wait for Aunt Jinny for a sec? I've gotta talked to Aunt Magda" "Ok." said Josh.
"Mag?" "Sure, Jin, Waht's up?" "Come here" Jinny and Magda walked into a bedroom. "Jinny? you look as white as a sheet." "Yeah, well i feel like I'm gonna faint. I'm pregnant." "Oh my God Jinny, are you sure?" "yes. I just got home from the doctors" Jinny replied. "Is it Jack's?" "Of course! what, do you think I'm a slut?" "Jinny, sorry. Ok, we'll get you through this" Jinny smiled. "yeah, well I've gotta take Johny home, and then call Jack." "His name is Josh, Jin" "Oh, yeah, whatever. Bye."

Nate and CD walked together into the wedding planners office, and sat there smiling. The wedding plannner, Julie, came in. "Hi, how are you?" she shook their hands, and sat down at her desk. "So, how long have you guys been engaged?" "since yesterday" CD replied. "wow, well you guys aren't wasting anytime" Julie smiled. "well, we both know that we wanna get married as soon as possible, so we're just gonna start planing now." The wedding planner asked the usual questions of getting started, and they were on their way. CD got home and jumped on the internet, she wanted to look on a bridal website to start picking out bridesmaid dresses. "Nate? come here" Nate rushed in, "what are you okay?" Nate was out of breath. "yes, silly, I just wanted you to see these dresses." "don't do that!" Nate laughed "you know, dresses aren't really my thing, you'd bette call over Jinny and Magda for this one." "yeah, I guess. I'll make a date for them to go shopping with me. But in the mean time....." CD turned off the computer, stood up and put her arms around Nates big strong shoulders. ".... we should keep ourselves busy with something." they kissed, and Nate picked her up, one arm around her back, one arm undder the back of her knees. He carried her off to the bedroom, and spent a long time, well, you know what I mean.

Jinny walked in the apartment. "Here, uh, kid, have your dinner," Jinny waved a McDonalds bag in his face. Jinny grabbed the phone and walked into her bedroom. "Jack, uh hi, yeah it's me. Listen, I need you to come to San Fransisco right away. No, I don't care if your busy, damnit, come here! It's important. Fine, I'll see you Saturday." she hung up. "God, why does this have to be so dificult?" she frowned. She dialed the phone again. "Hi, Ronnie, just out of curiosity, how much longer will you be there?" "um, hi Jin, I was just gonna call you about that." "yes?" Jinny asked. "I need you to watch Josh a little longer, I got sick too"

Nate woke up the next morning to see CD laying next to him, and he smiled. He got up and tiptoed into the kitchen. "Maybe I can make her breakfast in bed" he thought to himself. "Oh, ok. um go back to sleep" Nate walked back into the kitchen and opened up the fridge. "hmm, no orange juice. but we have a can. ok" he took it out and dumped the contents into a pitcher. A little lumoy. He went back into the bedroom. "CD? how much water do I add to make orange juice?" "four cans" oh, ok go back to sleep" Nate walks out. Once back into the kitchen he thinks he needs some fruit too, so looks into the fidge. Ok, um here we go, canned fruit. Easy" He fumbles around in many drawers until he finds a can opener. "hmm, this thing is dificult. Can't quite figure it out." So, again he goes back to the bedroom. "CD? how do ya work the can opener?" "Ok, Nate, how 'bout you go back to bed. I'll finish the breakfast." "no, sweety, I want to do this for you." "Nate, it'd be less work for me. really." So Nate crawls into bed, and CD finishes breakfast. Cd puts it on a tray and walks back into the room. "Here, now we can both have breakfast in bed." So she crawls back into bed, and they eat together, until Nate looks at his watch. "oh my God! It's 10:30! I'm late for work!" Nate jumps out of bed and starts getting ready.

"can you do me a big favor?" "what?" Josh asks. "can we save this conversation for after school? thanks" Jinny shuts the door on his face and starts to get ready. Jinny walks into the Division. "Hi, Mag" "hey, Jin. um, how have you been doing?" "sheesh, Mag, people are gonna begin to wonder. shutup!" Jinny whispers. "Well, you're gonna have to tell them sometime" Magda laughed A little. "I'm not amused. but, this morning has been hard. Judd said' i miss my mom' and i don't know what to do about it." "Josh" Magda said. "what?" "his name is Josh." Nate ran into the Division, really late. He ran through the building, until he came to the last hallway, where he put his hands in his pockets and walked in slowly. "Hi, guys, what's up?" "Hey, Nate, we were beginning to wonder if you were coming in" "No, just me, um CD didn't feel up to coming in yet, but she might be in later on today" Nate sat down at his desk, and thre was a package sitting on it. "Oh, yeah, bud. um UPS delivered that today" Jinny said, after seeing Nate's inquisitive look. "oh, um ok" Nate opened the box, and there was picture of him and CD in a heart shaped frame, and a note on a post-it on the glass. for your desk it read. Nate laughed and set it roght next to his computer, Nate picked up the phone. "hello?" CD picked up. "hey, beautiful. Listen, I just got this package....." "oh, yeah, well, um OI thought you might like it" "oh, yes I love it. listen, are you coming in later today? So we can make the formal announcement?" "um, yes. plus we need to tell cap" "ok, then um I'll see you about one o'clock then?" "sure, I'll be there". CD hung up and looked back at the apartment. "hmm, two hours till I have to be there. I can finally get some cleaning done!" and she went to work. After Nate hung up the phone, he sat back and stared at CD's picture. "um, Nate, you can't sit there looking at her like that, and you have not told cap yet. she's gonna figure it out" Magda said. Just then cap walked out of her office. "figure what out?" she asked. "Um, well, ok you got me. I was gonna try to sneak out early, but um I'll stay I guess" Magda quickly lied. "well, you can't get anything by me," Cap winked and walked back into her office. "pheew, that was a close one." they all stared at eachother, then turned and went back to work.

Are we having company?" Josh asked. "um, yeah." Jinny lied. "oh, ok, who?" "um, some people." "what people?" listen, Jacob, I aske the questions around here, you pick out the pizza's." "sheesh, ok. Gosh" Josh went to the frezzer to pick them out. Jinny pulled out her phone. "hi, Mag? after I feed Joe, can I drop him off at your place?" "um, Josh? yeah, sure. I"ll see him about 7 then" Jinny rolled her eyes. as she hung up. "how am I gonna explain to him that I'm eating like a horse?" she exhaled a big breath, and walked to the soda aisle.

CD waltzed into the Division about 1:15, and everyone in the office looked up from their work. "hi, guys, nice to see you, I'll come back here to talk to you all in a few minutes". Nate jumped up and met her at the door. "come, on we gotta tell cap" Nate said. "I'm sure she already knows we live together!" CD hissed back. "well, we have to formally tell her." Nate grabbed Cd's hand and they walked into Kate's office. Kate had on her glasses, and was lokking at some reports. Nate stood in the doorway, with CD standing behind him. "hmmhmm!" Nate caughed. Kate looked up from her work, and took off her glasses. "Hi, come on in" Nate walked in, and then Kate noticed CD. "Hi, CD! I'm very glad to see up and well." "yes, it's nice to be better." CD replied. Kate motioned for the couple to sit down, and Kate sat down in her chair. "So, what do you need?" Kate asked. "Well, cap, it's a long story." Nate answered. "Well, I've got a few minutes, so go ahead." "well, um. hmm, well." Nate fumbled around for the words. "We're getting married." CD blurted out. Kate raised her eyebrows. "Oh, well, um in that case..........." Kate tried to say, but Nate interupted her "I know we shouldn't be partners anymore, but we were hoping you'd make an exception" "well, I'll have to talk to some of my bosses about this. I'd like to keep you on, you two make a great team. But, you never know..." "oh, ok, cap thanks" Nate and CD walked out of her office. CD and Nate were holding hands, and when they walked out, every one again looked up from their own work. Cd went and Sat down at her desk, and Nate sat on the desk next to her. Jinny leaned over. "Well?" "Cap said maybe. we don't know." "well, I hope you do. Then we'd be back to normal" Jinny replied. "Since when do you like normalcy Jin?" Magda laughed. "Hey, well, it's nice once in a while.

Kate walked out of her office and motioned for CD and Nate to come into her office. Nate walked in with CD right behind him. Kate shut the door, and then sat down down at her desk. "um, I just got off the phone with them, and I decided to tell you now, so that you're not wondering" she paused and looked accross the room at them. "well? don't leave us here wondering!" Nate said. "I'm sorry, this is out of my hands. But, they have decided as long as you two stay in a personal relationship, you can't be cop partners." CD broke out crying, and Nate ran to her side. "what, is this punishment for being in love? in all my relationships, something has to turn out wrong." she burried her head into her hands and cried. Kate looked concerned "CD, Nate, I'm so sorry, but i can't do anything about it." Cd got up and ran out of the Division. Nate ran after her. Every one looked up from their work, for the 3rd time in the past 30 minutes. "it's never boring with those two around here" Jinny laughed. "Shutup, Jin, their must be something wrong" Magda looked concerned. "I'm sure we'll figure it out soon" Raina replied to them all. Magda and Jinny turned and looked at her, with narrowed eyebrows. "what? I couldn't help but listne, of course that what happens when you eavesdrop" Raina smiled. "you're right Mag, I take back what I said before. What I meant to say, is that it's never boring with Raina around here" Jinny laughed a little and took a sip out of her water bottle.

CD and Nate walked into their apartment, with their hearts heavy. "I'm so sorry, sweetie. I can't do anything about it. If your'e not comfortable with me with another partner, I'll quit" "No, silly. I don't want that. Maybe it's all for the best anyway." "how could it be all for the best?" Nate was very surprised. "Because, well, this definetaly is not the best time to tell you this, but um remmeber that first time home from the hospital?" "first time? What? oh, yeah......." Nate sat back and smiled. "welllllll, um, I forgot to tell you something." "whaty?" "well, um, um," "CD, it can't be that bad. It's not like you have aids or something" Nate said. Finally." Nate kissed her and embraced her for the rest of the evening.

Nate and CD sat in the waiting room. "Candace?" the nurse called. CD turned and looked at Nate, and he took her hand and led her into the room. "please slip off your shoes, and step onto the scale." the nurse asked. CD rolled her eyes at Nate.

A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. "come in" Nate called.
The doctor walked in. "hi, Mz. DeLorenzo. How are you?" "I'm real excited! My first baby!" CD replied. "well, we havn't gotten the results back from the test yet, but from your test at home, and your symptoms, we're pretty sure."

A few minutes later there was another knock at the door. A nurse peeked in. "here's the results, doctor." the Doctor took a look. Nate gripped CD's hand really tight. "just as I thought. Mz. Delorenzo, Mr. Basso, you are expecting a baby!" CD's eyes filled with tears. Nate stood up, and picked Cd up, and hugged her. "i love you." Nate said softly. he burried his head into her shoulder. "I love you too" CD replied.

CD and Nate were walking out of the doctors office, and saw a familiar brunette walking in. "Nate, that's Jinny!" CD whispered. "Jinny! Hi! over here!" Nate called. Jinny looked up. "oh, hi, Nate, CD." Jinny looked really uncomfortable. "what are you guys doing here?" Jinny asked. "well, you're the first person we're telling, but we're pregnant!" Nate called out, rubbing his hand on CD's belly. "Oh, my God, wow! But you're not even married yet! Were'nt you using pretection, and God, CD, I thought your tubes were tied!" Jinny asked real fast "well, hehe, I never actually did. I must have been talking to hear your own my own voice" CD laughed a little. "so, what about you? why are you here?" CD asked taking Jinny aside. "women's problems?" "CD! Sheesh! no, um, ummmmmm, just a check up. Oh, look at the time. Gotta be going!" Jinny ran inside. "hmm, wonder what's up with her?" Nate wondered out loud. "I don't know, it's weird."

CD and Nate relaxed in the living room after they got home. "Nate?" "what?" "I think we should get married before the baby comes. I know we wanted a big wedding, but I was thinking, that we can get married at city hall, then after Brier is born we can have a big wedding!" "Brier?" "stay on the subject." "ok, CD, yes, I would love to marry you tonight." "Ok, let's go!" Cd got up and ran out the door. "CD, coat!" Nate called after her, running.

CD and Nate ran into city hall, and ran to the front desk. "Hi, we'd like to get married?" Nate asked to woman. "Um, ok I'll tell the Judge." "Ok, thanks." A few minutes later they were shown the judges office, and they walked in. "Hi, you must be the happy couple." the Judge said. "Yes, we are." Nate smiled and put his arm around CD. "ok, great, just show me your blood work, and your marrage liscence." "what? oh, um, we kinda forgot about that. " Nate replied. "Sorry, can't marry you without that." The Judge answered. "well," Nate said pulling out his badge. "I'm a cop, can't you do it now?" "No, sorry sir, you'll have to come back later." The judge shoved them out the door and slammed it. "Well, that was rude." Nate said in disgust. "I guess, but we should have been smart enough to remember." CD replied.
"Ok, well then lets go to the hospital" Nate and CD drove in silence. "Nate?" "Yeah?" "Um, I'm kinda tired, um, well, lets just get the blood test, and then we can go home. is that okay?" "Sure, anything for you." Nate smiled as he turned into the hospital parking lot. "I remember the last time I was here. It was an awful night." Nate remembered. "Yeah?" CD asked. "Well, um, it was the night. I came here looking for you, when you were actually at Liz's house, lying on the floor dying." He rcalled, painfully. "Oh, yeah. wow, I'm a little choked up. I'm sorry I hurt you. I should never have gone over to her apartment in the first place. I'm sorry." CD choked out, through tears. "oh, cD, I don't hold that againest you. I'm mad at myself that I didn't find you earlier." "oh, Nate. Listen, it's history now, lets just let it go and look to the future." She smiled and winked at him. "Ok, let's go inside. Let's get the blood thing over with." She laughed and ran accross the parking lot. "Hey, why are you running?" "I wanna get in out of the rain!" she called back. "Nah, the rain is good!" Nate yelled. "You're so silly!" CD laughed back. "Come here, I want to show you something!" CD ran back "Dance with me, CD." Nate said softly, "What? theres no music!" CD exclaimed. "so, we don't need music."
"you're acting drunk, Nate. But it's fun!" CD laughed. "I' am drunk. drunk with love. Marry me, CD" "ok" "ok, great, then lets go!" "We have to get a blood test first remember?" CD replied. "oh, well then we'd better go to a hospital, wait, we're already here!" Nate called out. "Ok, then let's go!" CD grabbed his hand, and they ran inside.

"All done." said the nurse, pulling out the needle. "are you next, sir?" the nurse asked Nate. "oh, yeah" he smiled and sat down. "go ahead, get it over with."

Nate and CD walked out of the hospital a few minutes later. "man, I can't believe that we have to wait for a few days until we get the blood work back." Cd sighed. "yeah, I know, and they didn't even care that I'm a police inspector." Nate replied. "Nate, you have got to stop throwing your badge around anytime you want something." CD said to him. "I know, but it's so convenient" CD laughed at him and punched him in the arm. "come, on, goof, let's just go home." CD looped her arms through his, and walked to the car.

They walked through the apartment door a few minutes later. "Ahh, nice to be in. It seems we havn't been home in ages." CD collapsed on the couch. "CD, it's been like 2 hours." "Well, I'm tired." CD replied. "Well, ok, then I guess I'll have to do the manly thing." "what?" "I'll carry you to our bed." with that he scooped her up, and carried her off

Jinny got home later that evening, and Josh ran through the door, and emedietaly jumped up on the couch and started jumping. "James, get down, gosh, I just had that couch steam cleaned." "ok, Aunt Jinny." Josh jumped down. Then he ran over to the desk, and got out a marker, and then ran over to Jinny. "Here, give me your hand, Aunt Jinny." "Why?" Josh grabbed her hand, and wrote Josh on it. "There, now you can remember." He smiled. "thanks, Josh." Jinny smiled too. "Ok, let's get ready for bed, then we can read for a while." Josh ran off to the bathroom, and Jinny heard water running. Jinny took her pre-natal pills out and downed a few. this is silly Jinny thought to herself he's not gonna know what I'm taking, but for some reason I feel the need to hide it anyway Josh came out of the bathroom a few minutes later. "Hey, bud, why don't you pick out a book?" Josh came to her with a book, and they got on top of her bed. Jinny put her arm around his shoulder. "Hey, bud, you smell real good, what did you use to wash yourself?" Jinny aksed. "I used your sweet pea soap. I wanted to smell like you." "aww, Josh, that is so sweet!" the phone rang. Jinny picked it up. "hello?" "hi, Jin, um is everything ok with you and Josh?" Magda asked. "Never better. I'll talk to you tomorrow at the Division." "Ok, great, bye Jin"

Nate awoke the next morning to seeing CD above him looking at him. "hey, beautiful" "Hey. come on! I called the doctors, and I got the results." "Sheesh, CD, you're eager!" Nate sat up and smiled. "Can I atleast get breakfast first?" Nate asked. "Already on the table. Now chop, chop! Get ready!" Nate put on his shirt, and walked into the kitchen. "i like it when she's pregnant, she really gets things done!" he thought to himself. about 5 minutes later CD yelled from the bathroom. "Sheesh, Nate, done yet?" "It's been like 2 minutes Candace." "it has not! it just turned 6 minutes. Now I got out some clothes, go get ready!" Nate smiled and put his plate in the sink. He went and got ready.
A few minutes later He and Cd were putting on their coats, and walking put the door. "Where are we going? City hall?" Nate asked. "No, jewelry store, idiot. Do you think I'd get married without a ring?" CD smiled and started to walk faster. "Well, CD, don't you have to order those rings months ahead of time?" Nate asked. "Already done." CD smiled. "How'd you know what ring size I was?" "I guessed. See, that guy walking down the street is a 10." Nate laughed. "How can you guess a guys ring size so fast?" "Hmm, a hobby of mine. Here, hand me the keys." "how come i never get to drive?" Nate whined. "I don't know. But I want to." A few minutes later CD pulled into the jewelry store lot. They got out and walked inside. "I have an order for DeLoenzo?" CD asked the man behind the counter. "You're not gonna be that name for much longer." Nate put his arm around CD and kissed her. "Here we go. two white gold rings." The man handed CD two cases, and she handed Nate one of the boxes. He pulled out the ring, and put it on. "It's a perfect fit."

Jinny awoke the next morning to a dorrbell. "Who the hell could that be at this hour?" She rolled out of bed and walked to the door. "Who is it?" she called. "It's me!" Jinny rolled her eyes, and opened the door. "Hi, Jack." "Hey, Jin." Jack walked in and hugged her. "How've you been doing?" Jack asked. "not good." "What's wrong?" Jack sat down on the couch. he had bags under his eyes, he had obviously been up all night. "Well, I have to take care of my nephew Josh, and um, I haven't signed the papers." "Why?" Jack asked. CD and Nate pulled up to the court house, and got out. They walked into the judges office, holding hands and smiling. "well, you two, i recognize you. did ya get every thing in order?
"Yep, sure did. Here you go!" Nate said as he handed the jusge his paper work.
"Great! well, let's get started! First, you'll need two witnesses."
The judge said.
"oh, well, i hadn't thought of that....." CD bit her bottom lip and looked at Nate.
"Just a second, hon, I'll be right back." Nate ran out of the hallway, and came back a second later with two strangers. "Ok, here's our witnesses. "
"Nate, two people that work here?" CD asked.
"Sure, why not?" "Oh, fine. let's just get started." CD turned and looked at the judge.
The wedding went off with out a hitch, and soon they were married. When the judge said "you may kiss the bride" Nate practically jumped on CD.
CD smiled, and they drove home. "let's get packed, and we'll go anywhere, just the two of us."
"GREAT!!" CD yelled, and went off to pack.

Jack stared at her in shock. "Is it mine?" Jack asked. "Uh, yeah! sheesh, how many more people are gonna ask me that? What, do you think I'm some sort of a slut? Don't answer that." Jinny relpied.

"well, Mr. Chocolate addiction, ever since I've become pregnant with your baby, I have to have Ghiradelli. Not any other, that kind." CD laughed.
"ok, love, we'll go."

Jack woke up a few hours later, and found a note on his bed. "I'm at work, come about noon, we'll go out to lunch and we'll talk."
Jack crumbled up the note, and went to get ready.
At 11:55, he walked into the Division. It was practically empty. Jinny saw him coming, and ran out to meet him. "um, theres been some changes since you have last been here." Jinny quickly told him the story, and then they walked in. Magda shot a glance at Raina, and Raina just shrugged. "Let me grab my wallet." Jinny put her wallet in her back pocket, and put on her jacket. "I'll go down to the car, I'm double parked." Jack told her. Jinny walked out the door a few feet behind him, but Magda grabbed her arm. "Watch yourself." Magda whispered. Jinny rolled her eyes and walked out.

CD and Nate had just gotten through the tour, and they ended up at the gift shop. "Hey, Nate, go get me a cart" CD asked
"Can't we just pick up a box of something and go?" he asked
"No. I need lot's of chocolate."
"Fine" he scampered off, and came back a few minutes later with a basket.
"Sorry, no carts. Just this." He handed it to her.
"No carts? what the heck kind of place is this? Sheesh!!! well, fine. But we'll need more than one basket. go get three more."
"Three?" Nate asked in disbelief.
"Well, you're right. We'd better make it four."
Nate let out a sigh, slouched his shoulders and walked off.
"Sheesh, he acts as if I asked him to hand write War and Peace" she muttered to herself.
Nate came back a few minutes later, with the baskets.
"there you go, love." Nate said
"Aww, thanks. You'll get your reward when we get home." CD winked at him.
"Really? Great!!!" Nate smiled.
"No, I meant like a chocolate bar or something" CD said.
"Oh." Nate sounded VERY dissapointed
"I'm kidding!!" CD said. "You'll get something even better."
Nate smiled.
"Ok, I"m just about done. Let's check out." Cd marched up to the counter.
The sales clerk rang up the bill. "$285.93" he said.
Nate stared at him.
CD slapped Nate on the arm. "Get out your wallet" she hissed.
"oh, fine. But I"d better get like 6 rewards for this one." He handed the clerk his credit card.

Jinny ran out the door of the Division, and Jack was parked right out front. She hopped in.
"where should we go?" Jack asked.
"You pick. Any where with ravioli. I have a craving." She laughed.
"Ok" Jack pulled out.
"Well, um what should we talk about?" Jack asked.
"Let's wait until we get to the restaurant. I need witnesses." Jinny Replied
Jack laughed. "you always make me crack up."
"Heh, yeah." Jinny forced a smile, and looked out the window.

About a half hour later they were sitting in the restaurant, and their food showed up.
"ok, now can we talk?" Jack asked.
"Sure." Jinny smiled and took a drink of her diet coke.
"Ok, well I need to know..." Jack started to say, but was interupted by the sound of Jinny's cell ringing.
"hold on, I gotta take this" Jinny said, and picked up her phone.
"Exstead" she answered.
"What? No! Oh my God!!! Should I come up? Well, what am I gonna tell him? God, no, it can't be true!!! I can't be stuck with this kid for the rest of my life! Ok, fine, I'll be there ASAP." Jinny hung up, and put her hands through her hair.
"What the hell was that?" Jack asked.
"Um, nothing, But I gotta go." Jinny got up and ran out. Jack ran after her, but Jinny had already gotten into a cab.

CD tossed them into the suitcase.
"Hey! This is my nice big suitcase.!" Nate exclaimed.
"Yeah, I know. I don't have a suit case." CD said.
"well, what am I gonna use?" Nate asked.
CD pointed to a small gym bag on the floor.
"That? how am I supposed to pack my things?" Nate asked.
"It doesn't matter, your clothes are gonna spend most of their time on the floor." CD mocked, then laughed.
Nate laughed. "well, if you're gonna borrow my suitcase, you have to reward me."
"ok, goof. I'll reward you." CD did a stradle jump onto Nate, knocking him onto the bed.

Jinny was driving through town, driving to the school. Jinny pulled up in front of the school, and ran into the school.
Jinny walked into Josh's classroom. Everyone looked up as she walked in.
"Hey. um, I'm sorry to bother you, but I need to take Josh out." Jinny said.
"and who are you?" the teahcer asked suspiciously.
"i'm his aunt, and his gaurdian" Jinny said. "Also, I checked with the front desk, it's ok for me to take him right now."
The teacher walked out of the classroom, and came back in a few minutes later.
"ok. fine, you can take him" the teacher said.
"uh, thanks." Jinny replied.
Josh and Jinny walked out of the school a few minutes later.
"woooo, nice teacher you got there" Jinny said
"Mrs. Harriss? aww, she's ok. But a little controlling." Josh said.
"a little? Are you sure she wasn't a drill sargeant before she came here?" Jinny asked.
"Very funny. Why are you picking me up so early?" Josh asked.
Jinny stopped walking and sighed. Then she bent down to his level, and looked him in the eye.
"Josh, I have to tell you some news, but you have to promise me to act like a big boy" Jinny said.
"ok. shoot." Josh smiled.
"ummm, eh, well, with my job I've told people this a million times, but never some one I care about." She ran her hand through her hair.
"what? just tell me" Josh said.
"ok. Well, Josh, you know your mom got sick? Well, the doctor called me, and um, last night she passed away."

that was EXCELLENT!!! the bottom half was really sad, but the top half was REALLY good!!! ;) LOL, it was cute, and i LOVED!!!! :D :) :wave:

Hey guys, I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Sorry I haven't written in soooooooooooooooooooo long, busy busy, busy!!!! :D
Well, here's a little:

The next morning Nate and CD packed up the big suitcase and the duffel bag, and drove to the airport.
"Do you think it's wise leaving our car at the airport that long?" Nate asked
"yeah, I don't think we have anything to worry about. They have parking" CD replied.
"ok, good." Nate said
"besides, I think we'll be too busy to worry about the car" Cd laughed
"yeah, me too" Nate pulled into the airport.
They got out, and walked into the building.
"man, I'm gonna feel naked without my gun" CD said.
"well, you're gonna be naked period." Said Nate
"ha,ha very funny. You know, I booked Hawaii so that we could actually get out of the room" CD said.
"I can't promise that that's gonna happen" Nate had a smile from ear to ear.
"well, it'd better." CD played along.
They checked in, and sat waiting to board the plane.
"hey, I"m a little hungry, I"m gonna go get lunch. want something?" Cd asked.
"Nah, It's okay." Nate said.
CD walked off to McDonalds, and got in line behind a brunette with a little boy with her. When the woman turned around, CD saw it was Jinny.
"HI! Jinny! What are you doing here?" CD asked.
"Oh, hey. Yeah, um, I'm off to Washington." Jinny said
"why?" CD asked
"I have to oversee my sisters body coming home."
"What? Ronnie died?"
"um, can we discuss this later?" Jinny asked, and she ran off.
CD stood dumbfounded, and then her thoughts were interupted.
"Ma'am? can I take your order?" the girl behind the counter asked.
"yeah, I'll take...." CD gave her order, and sat down with it.
"This is really weird. And sad." CD thought

Jinny walked off, so shocked that CD would talk like that in frint of Josh. Hopefully he wasn't paying attention, but Jinny felt so bad for him. She felt something for this little boy she has never felt for a child before. Could it be love? Nah, she shook off the thought. But she was beginning to become more fond of him.
"Josh, how are you doing?" Jinny asked
"i'm ok." Josh looked at her with big blue eyes.
"You don't have to hold it in. You can let it out." Jinny said softly.
"no, I"m fine, really." Josh replied.
They finished lunch in silence, and went to board the plane.
"Josh, before we go, do you want to pick up a few things at the store, to play with on the plane? There's a little book store over there. I"m sure they have kid magazines." Josh ran in, and Jinny turned to see a familiar looking man walking towards her. It was Teddy! Then Jinny felt a tap on her shoulder, and saw it was Jack.
"Hey, Jin, I'm coming with you" they both said at the same time.
"Oh, God." was all Jinny managed to say

Lol, it's just that I'm so damn busy all the time, and I don't have time any more! but good news, I'm quitting my sites besides this one, so I'll have more time! so, here ya go :lol:

CD and Nate boarded the plane, and found their seats. Nate's was a window seat. Nate sat down, and got situated, and then looked over to CD.
"isn't this great? I... wait, what's wrong?" Nate asked
CD's lower lip was quivering, and she gave him the biggest, saddest blue eyes ever.
"What?" he asked again.
"you didn't even offer me the window seat"
"sheesh!" Nate replied
"what? it that too much to ask?" CD asked
"you're serious, aren't you?" he asked
"yes, of course. If i wasn't you'd know" CD replied.
Nate moved over, out of the window seat.
"Thanks, sweetie" CD smiled
Nate sighed, and put on his headphones as they took off.

Jinny sat down in her seat, next to Josh. They sat in silence for a while, then Josh suddenly started talking.
"You, know, when my dad left I thought I'd always be there for my mom, and then when she left me with some one i barely knew, I got mad at her. Then, when I got to know you, I was kinda glad that she left. Then, when she died, I was kinda glad, because then I could stay with you forever, but now I'm realizing that's she's gone, and I"m never gonna see her again" Josh burst into tears.
Jinny didn't know how to react, she just rubbed her back, snd tried to comfort him.
"god, this is hard." she mumbled under her breath.

Sorry this is so short, but no time! lol I"ll try to post again real soon!

Hey, Okay, I promised Rasa like 3 days ago that I would post, so I'll do it.................. *sighs* lol. So, here ya go!

CD and Nate arrived in Hawaii, and got off the plane.
"ah, smell that air!" CD said. "it smells just like I imagined."
Nate laughed. "It smells like some perfume you'd rope me into buying."
"hmmmm" CD took another sniff. "yeah, it does" she giggled.
"c'mon, sweetie, let's go get the luggage." Nate said.
"well, we only have to get my suitcase, because yours was small enough for a carry on." CD pointed to the duffel bag over his shoulder.
"haha, very funny." Nate grabbed her hand and walked her to the suitcase pick-up.
He grabbed her suitcase, and they walked outside to the front of the airport.
There was a man standing there with the sign "Basso". Nate walked up to him.
"hi, I'm Basso." The man took down his sign, and smiled.
"come this way, please, Mr. and Mrs. Basso."
the man walked to a limo, and CD walked up next to Nate. "aww, don't you love the sound of that? Mr. and Mrs. Basso?"
Nate smiled. "It sounds lovely." and he kissed her on the cheek.
They got inside the limo, and the driver took off.
"Nate, look! they've got sparkling grape juice! now I can actually drink it!"
"pour it!" Nate said.
CD poured two drinks, and handed one to Nate.
"to the most wonderful and beautiful wife in the world."
"to the most perfect husband in the world." they clinked glasses, and took a sip.

Jinny and Josh sat in silence most of the rest of the ride.
They got off the plane, and stretched their legs.
"you hungry?" Jinny asked.
"yeah, a little."
"well, let's go find a nice diner joint." Jinny grabbed their luggage, and walked outside.
"oh, ****"
"what?" josh asked.
"it's raining. Here, we'll have to open up the suitcases to find the rain coats." They sat down and looked through the suitcases, and Jinny thought she heard someone yell her name.
she looked up, and saw Jack coming towards her.
"hey, Jin." he smiled.
"oh, hi Jack." Jinny looked uncomfortable. "I guess you found me."
"yeah, it was weird. After Teddy and I walked up to you, you just ran off. Well, Teddy took that to mean that you didn't like him anymore, so he left. But, I, stayed." Jack looked proud of himself.
"yay" Jinny forced a weak smile.
"c'mon, Jack, I'll let you buy us lunch" and the three went off to hail a cab.

Oh come why u did that to Teddy? Anyway good post, more please.

CD and Nate got to their hotel, and checked in. CD ran into the room to inspect.
"Awww, sweetie, it's perfect" CD said, as she looked around the room. "just as I pictured it."
"As long as there's a bed, that's all the matters to me" Nate stood at the entrance to the room, with his hands in his pockets. He winked at her.
"very funny. hey, I'm starved let's go out to eat" CD said
"sure. I just gotta take a shower first" Nate grabbed a change of clothes and then got into the shower.
CD started putting away the clothes in the closet and in the drawers. Nate was singing away in the shower.
"what a dork" CD thought "i can't believed i married such a dork"
Nate was in the shower thinking to himself "what a wonderful woman. I can't believe I married such a wonderful woman" he smiled and continued washing himself. He got out and got dressed, and walked out. "Hey, CD were do you wanna go to dinner?" Nate walked into the room were CD was.
"OH MY GOD!!! CD!" Cd was sprawled out on the bed.
"Nate, I need to go to the doctor." CD said
"what's wrong?" Nate got very worried.
"i don't know, but I have such a bad pain in my stomach."
Nate called a cab "please come A.S.A.P." He yelled.
Nate paced in front of the window, and when the cab showed up he ran down holding CD
"the nearest hospital. and put your foot down!" Nate yelled

Jinny, Jack and Josh all sat at McKay's Irish pub eating chicken tenders.
" you, know, Jack, um, why did you pivk this place?"
"what's wrong with it?" he asked.
"it's a pub for God's sake!"
"oh, well,that's why we're sitting in the dining area, not in the bar."
"hmmph" Jinny wanted to have something to say, but couldn't.
"wellllllllllllllllllllllllll," Jinny looked around for something to say.
"How's the picture coming?" Jnny asked Josh, who was drawing.
"it's going well. almost done." Josh looked up and smiled.
"well, ypu know one good thing of being pregnant, Jack?" Jinny said
"What?"
"there's no way in hell that I can drink then" She smiled.
"yeah, maybe I should get pregnant." Jack laughed.
"oh, you dork." Jinny smiled.
they finished their meal and went to the hotel room.
"God, Jack, I can't believe you talked me into sharing a room with us."
"what? we have 2 doubles and a roll away. why should we pay for another room?"
Jinny rolled her eyes.
"fine. but this is just to save money. understood?"
"hey, no problem." Jack put his hands in the air.
Josh smiled.
"hey, if things keep up I'm gonna have a new mom and a new dad!"
"NO!" Jinny and Jack yelled at the same time.

The cab pulled up in front of the hospital, and Nate jumped out and carried CD inside.

pretty soon a doctor came out and called Nate into a room.
"Um, Candace is just fine." the doctor said.
"oh, thank God." Nate said, like a weight had lifted off his shoulder.
"but, the bad news is she lost the baby."

Jinny had just showered and had gotten into bed with her cocoa when the phone rang.
"just a second" Jinny said to Josh, who she was reading to.
Jinny reached over and picked up the phone.
"hello?"
"hi, Jin"
"Teddy?"
"yeah."
"I thought you had stayed in San Fransisco."
"who told you that?"
"Never mind." Jinny said rolling her eyes at Jack, who sat there with an angry look on his face,
"I'm glad to hear from ya, but this was a really bad time. Can I call you sometime?"
"sure."
"ok, I'll call you in the morning." Jinny hung up the phone.
Jack started to try and slink out the room.
"Not so fast mister!" Jinny called out

Nate went into CD's room, and sat next to her bed. He grabbed her hand and kissed it.
"hmm?" CD stirred in her sleep.
"it's fine, I'm here." Nate said, reassuring her.
CD's eyes opened.
"am I okay?" she asked in a low voice.
"you're gonna be just fine." Nate said, and smiled at her. His eyes were tearing up a little.
"what's wrong?" CD asked.
"um, sweetie, I have bad news." Nate said
"oh, no. Is the baby okay?" CD Sat up in bed with a shocked look on her face.
"No, sorry. we lost her."
CD put her head in her hands and cried.
Nate tried to comfort her, but it was no use.
"I....was.......so.....in......love......with.........that.........baby........
already." CD said
"I know sweetie, me too. But we can have another."
"i know, but it won't be the same." CD put her arms around Nate and cried some more.
Eventually she fell asleep, and Nate got up and walked out, and went to the waiting room to think through things.
"why do I never get a break?" Nate asked under his breath.

Jinny grabbed Jacks arm. "why the hell did you tell me Teddy didn't come?" she said teasingly
"hey, baaaaaad word" Josh said

"we're not sure of that yet. How much longer are you going to be on the Island?"
"about two weeks." Nate replied.
The doctor chewed his lip and looked out of the corner of his eye while thinking.
"well, I think we'll be able to see by then" the doctor said at last.
"see what?"
"see if it was just something wrong with the baby, or if something is wrong with CD" the doctor said.
"oh, I hope it's not CD! This was our first baby! We're still on our honeymoon, that's how little we've been married. It would kill her if she couldn't have anykids." Nate exclaimed.
"well, I've been looking over her records, and it looks like this is her third miscarriage. she had two with her first husband."
"what?" Nate asked
"that's what this says." the doctor pointed to the chart.
"she never told me that." Nate sighed.
"well, I'm sure she would've eventually. But the good news is i'm gonna let you take her back with you tomorrow, just make an apointment to come in for some more tests."
"okay, thatnks doc." Nate shook the man's hand, and the doctor walked away. Nate leaned againest a wall and sighed.

Jinny pulled away from Jack and looked at him.
"were you serious?" she asked
"yeah. were you?" Jack answered
"um... yeah. I think so. um....... yeah, of course i was. maybe it's just the hormonal change in my body that's making me indecisive."
"yeah, probably." Jack smiled.
"well, I guess we worked out our problems" Jinny smiled.
"so no divorce?" Jack asked
"yeah.... no divorce." Jinny replied.
Jack hugged her, and Jinny got a strange geeling in her stomach.
I hope I'm making the right decision she thought.

Nate took CD home and she slept for a while. When she awoke he ran next to her.
"how do you feel?"
"hmmm, pretty good." CD's eyes popped open and looked around.
"where am I?"
"you're back in the bungalo."
"oh, that's nice. Atleast I'm out of that hospital. I've spent too much time in hopitals lately." CD said.
"yeah, I know, but I've been by your side the whole time."
"yes you have" CD leaned over and gave Nate a kiss.
"thanks." CD said and stroked his cheek.
"any time if i get that reward." he smiled.
"well, once I get well you'll get an even better reward!" CD laughed.
"yay! I can hardly wait."
"hey, me too."
They sat in silence for a few minutes, then Nate spoke.
"hey, CD?"
"yeah?"
"um, you have to go back to the doctors tomorrow for some more tests."
"tests? sheesh, it was only one misscarriage." CD said.
"actually, it was three." Nate said softly.
"what?????!!!!! I was pregnant with triplets???"
"No, you have already had two with Paul."
"oh, that."
"yeah, that. How come you never told me?" Nate asked.
"you never asked." she smiled. "But, you're right, I should've."
"damn right, but I'm willing to forgive you." Nate leaned over and gave her a kiss.

Jinny woke up the next morning and looked at the clock.
"sheesh, I over slept." Jinny got up and got ready in two seconds flat.
"guys, I'm going out. Pack up and I'll be back in a few hours. Our plane home leaves at 5"
Josh ran out of bed. "what do you mean we're going home?"
"well, sweetie, we just came here for me to identifly your mommy's body. After I do, they'll ship her body back to San Francisco for the funeral."
"oh. so I don't get to see her?" Josh asked.
"no, you'll see her once we get back home." Jinny smiled and patted Joshes head. "I'll see you later big guy."
"bye." Josh started to get a little choked up.
"Aunt Jinny, can I come with you?"
"no, sweetie, I have to go by myself."
"hey, Josh, come here. Let's get dressed and go do something fun" Jack said.
"okay" Josh sniffed.
Jinny flashed a little smile to Jack, and ran out the door.
"this is much harder than I thought it would be" she muttered under her breath

The next day Nate drove CD to the hospital, and they sat in the waiting room for a while.
"sheesh, you have a one o'clock appointment, don't ya think they would be ready for you at one? but nooooooooo, we're still sitting here at 1:15" CD sighed and rolled her eyes.
"cool it. It seems like ever since you lost the baby you've been really moody." Nate folded his arms.
"ever since? I lost her a few days ago. It hasn't been years or anything, jerk." CD was getting cross.
"fine, sorry. but I don't wanna listen to you complain. it's not like we have anywhere better to be."
"well, I'd rather this never of happened and we were on our honey moon." CD said, cooling off a little.
"yeah, me too. but after you have a few simple tests, they'll say you're perfectly heathly, and everything will be back to normal." Nate said
"yeah, I hope so." CD managed a weak smile.
"Mrs. Basso?" a nurse said
"c'mon sweetie" Nate said, standing up and taking CD's hand.
CD stood up and followed behind.
The nurse took them into a room and handed CD a paper gown.
"change into this and doctor Brooks will see you shortly."

Jinny got to the morgue and identified her sisters body.
She went and filled out a few forms.
"thank you Miss Exstead, and we'll send your sister to San Francisco today."
"thank you." Jinny sighed and walked out to her car.
gee, they act as if they are a UPS store, shipping some shoes. Not a morgue shipping some one's body Jinny thought
Jinny got back to the room and started packing, and the guys came in a little later.
"hey, guys, have fun?" Jinny asked
"yeah, great. we had lot's of fun!" Jack smiled "we got some great male bonding time"
"yeah, and we got hotdogs for lunch!" Josh said
Jinny laughed. "good for you!" Josh came over and gave her a hug.
"can we do something before we have to leave? Like as a family?" Josh asked
Jinny stared at Jack, and he gave a nod
"sure, let's go do something, but we gotta hurry, our plane leaves in a few hours." Jinny said
"great! let's go!" Josh said

sheesh, I'll post already! thanks alot for the new page Lisa, sheesh. oh, well, nothing else to do, I guess I'll post. And Cat, I'm so happy you're back! and that you caught up! that's really cool.

The doctor came in, and examined CD.
"you're healing nicely, but we still have to do the tests to see if you can still have babies." the doctor said.
"yeah, that would be great" nate smiled and winkind at CD. CD smiled.
Nate went out to the waiting room and stayed there for the better part of the afternoon, and finally CD came out to him about 4:30.
"let's check out, they're not gonna have the results until later this evening" CD said.
Nate went to the front desk and checked out, and they walked out to the car.
"how was it?" Nate asked.
"well, as fun as it could be. But I don't want to talk about it, okay?" CD asked
"yeah, sure. Let's just go and change, and have a nice leisurly dinner" Nate said.
"yeah, that sounds great" CD smiled, and they grabbed hands and walked into the building of their hotel.
They had a nice long dinner, and returned to their hotel room about 8:30. Their phone was flashing, because there was a message.
Nate picked it up and listened to it. He smiled and put down the phone.
"You're okay, baby! We can have babies! You just have to be on bedrest the whole time." Nate screamed and hugged CD tight.
"Oh, I'm so happy." a tear slid down CD's face

The three returned from their adventure, in just enough time to grab their luggage and go to the airport.
Josh was wearing a bulloon hat, from their afternoon fun. They went through security, and boarded the plane. Josh sat between Jack and Jinny. The plane took off, and Josh fell asleep shortly afterwards.
"I don't know what to do with him." Jinny whispered to Jack.
"what do you mean?" he asked
'well, he's taking his mothers death just a little too well, don't ya think?" Jinny asked
"well...... yeah it is a little unusual." Jack said softly
"plus sometimes he just breaks out crying for no reason. and he lashes out at me, and sometimes he's perfectly fine."
"well, what do you think we should do?" Jack asked
"I want to wait until we have full custody, then take him to see a professional. I think we could all use a little hlep."
"good idea." Jack said.
and they sat in silence the rest of the ride.

sheesh, I haven't realized how long it's been since I last posted. Sorry everyone! here goes:


CD and Nate tried for a few weeks, and no luck. They had been back in San Fancisco, but hadn't gone back to work.
One morning Nate woke up to the phone ringing.
"hello?" he asked in a morning voice
"Nate?" the phone voice asked
"yeah"
"did I wake you?"
"yeah"
"oh, well it's late you should be up by now anyway" the voice said
"who is this?" Nate asked
"it's Kate"
"oh, hi. What do you want?"
"why aren't you here?" Kate asked
"because we got home last night"
"well, when I go on vacation I always go back to work the next day."
"well, I wanted to take more vaction time"
"fine. I'll take that as you'll be in tomorrow" Kate slammed the phone.
"what made her so bitchy?" Nate asked and rolled over to sleep.

Jinny and the rest had gotten back to San Fransisco and were unpacking.
"hey Jin?" Jack asked
"yeah, hon?"
"is it okay if I move some of my stuff back in?"
"um...yeah. sure." she responded
"it's okay if you're having second thoughts."
"i'm not." she said.
"great, then I'll move them in tomorrow"

wow, it's been so long since i last posted. Sorry! lol

Nate and CD tried for months and months, with no luck. They were beginning to be very discouraged, and CD had very low self esteem.
"honey, it's not your fault. Maybe there's something wrong with me." Nate said
"no, it's me. I couldn't keep a baby, now I can't even concieve one." CD whined.
'don't worry honey, I'm sure it'll happen soon." Nate tried to be encouraging.

One afternoon Nate noticed that CD had been doing lots of things on her computer.
"What have you been doing sweetie?" Nate asked.
"um, nothing." CD said and kept working on it.
"yes, you have." Nate insisted.
"no, I haven't. Just research for a case." CD responded.
"um, okay...." Nate said and got up pretending that he was going over to get some coffee.
CD quickly turned of her moniter.
"What're you looking for?" she asked.
"um, nothing. just....getting some coffee, want some?"
"yeah, but not from here. Can you go downstairs and bye me some.?" she asked.
"sure." Nate said and walked out.

Jinny, Jack and Josh had a nice time getting situated together, and were really startin to feel like a real family. Jinny's stomach had gotten noticably larger, too. One night Jinny had just put Josh to bed, and walked out of his room when Jack asked her to talk.

oh, no Jinny thought and followed Jack to the living room.
"Jinny, I'm about to say something you wont like, but I have to say it." Jack said softly.
"what?" she asked.
"well, my ex-wife has just gotten her rights to full custody of my son taken away."
"uhuh?" Jinny asked
"well, I don't want to have to move him over here to San Fransisco with us."
"why?" Jinny asked
"well, he's been through alot lately." Jack replied.
"oh, so are you gonna go to Tuscon for a few months then bring Clay back here to live with us?"
"no. I also got a job stransfer to the Tuscon police department.: Jack said.
"what? Are you serious?" Jinny asked.
"yes, honey, I'm sorry. We're moving to Tuscon"

(sp? lol) so, maybe i'll have to go on strike. not like Rasa for whatever crappy reason she went on strike that one time for, but cuz no one cares any more! *cries uncontrollably* one more post, and after that we'll see what happens. if worst comes to worse, i'll just send it to lisa and tell tara face to face what happens, lmao.

Nate walked to the elevator, and thought "sheesh, maybe all this stress over the baby has been too much for her" he thought.
He bought two coffees and a cinnamon scone, and brought it back up to CD. CD took the coffee and scone.
"thanks, hon," she said and smiled.
Nate sat back down in his chair.
"no problem" he said, still a little weirded out by CD's weirdness.
Nate did a little work, and saw the clock said 5:30.
"hey, sweetie, quitting time" he said and grabbed his leather jacket.
"um, I gotta lot of work to do, so I'm gonna stay here and get some more done. why don't you go home and start on dinner?" CD asked.
"okay, I'll be home. Get done soon" he said and walked out.
"this is fukking rediculous" he said.
Nate got home and made dinner. He sat on the couch and watched a littl T.V. He tried calling her at work, she didn't pick up. He called her cell phone, no luck. Finally he took a bath and crawled into bed.
He stared at the ceiling for a while, then heard the door open.
CD came in, and Nate pretended to be asleep.

Jinny laughed. "oh, come on. please, you kidder."
"no, Jin, I'm serious"
"what?' she was still laughing a little.
"yes. we're going to Tuscon. And this time I'm not leaving you."
"oh." Jinny's laugh turned upside down.
"why are you doing this to me?" she started to cry. "I mean, Ronnie died, and I mean, I hated her, sure, but it was still something i had to deal with," Jinny was bawling by now. "and I"m stuck with not one but two kids, and now i have to move to stupid Tuscon."
"I know, I know." Jack comforted her "is this what it'll be like for 5 more months?" he thought.
Jinny looked up, tears all dry. "well, I'd better start packing" she said and jumped up.
"okay?????" he said, and collapsed into the chair, to zombie out in front of the tv

The next morning Nate woke up and turned over to kiss CD good morning. On her pillow was note
"Decided to get a little early work done, see ya at work! P.S. just make yourself some pancakes, I have some in the freezer I bought from market day"
"oh, how wonderful, frozen pancakes. I'm gonna jump at the chance to eat that" he mumbled to himself.
He took a shower and put on some khaki's and a polo shirt.
"Don't feel like dressing up today" he said a loud
He walked into the first floor of the police station, and bought a coffee and muffin.
[I]well, better get CD one, or she'll have a fit[I] he thought.
He took the coffee's and muffin's and walked into the Division.
"Hey, Nate, how are ya?" Magda asked
"I'm good, how are you?"
"good, thanks"
He walked over to his chair and sat down.
"here, sweetie, bought a something."
"aww, thanks" CD took the coffee and drank.
"um, I would appreciate it next time if you would wake me up to tell me when you're leaving." Nate asked quietly.
"well, I didn't want to wake you, so I just left." CD answered
"I don't mind." Nate said
"well, Nate, I think it's time." CD said
"time for what?" he asked, taking a bite of his blueberry muffin.
"haven't you been curious as to what I've been working on here for the past few days?" CD asked
"well, sure......" Nate said
"well, come here then." Nate got up and walked over.
"I found a child in Sweden for us to adopt, so I've been working on the plans. I decided to work it all out, so it might be easier for you to say yes." she said.
"oh, CD, of course I'd say yes" Nate said.
"Great, because we're going for our first meeting tomorrow" CD smiled

Jinny got up the next morning and went to work. She walked in with a depressed look on her face.
"hey, Jin, how are....hey,what's wrong?" Magda asked
Jinny ignored her and knocked on Kate's door.
"hey, cap, got a few minutes to talk?" Jinny asked
"sure, come on in." Jinny saw out of her periphol (sp?) vision Stacey walking towards the office. Jinny timed it so she shut the door right on Stacey's face.
Jinny opened it open again. "oh, Sorry Stacey." Jinny said trying to hold back the laughs.
"Uh, no problem. I'll be fine. I'm just gonna hit the emergency room and be back to get a little work done before tumbling lessons. i decided to start taking so I can do all sorts of tricks for you guys, because i want to be the Division's Cheerleader.
She let go of her bleeding nose long enough to pull an uniform out of her bag. "See, a pleaded skirt and a sweater with the letter "D" on it" She ran out the door.
Jinny turned around and looked at captain. "what's she doing back?"
"um, I got tired of her coming to my window every night and singing into it about wanted her job back, so I decided to hire her." Kate answered.
"oh, sheesh."
"now, what was it you wanted to talk to me about?" Kate asked

Awwwww, CD and Nate are getting a baby! :D :D :D That was sooooooo sweet! I love this fic!

And LMAO, that part where Jinny shuts the door in Stacy's face, and then Kate talks about Stacy singing outside her house every night was so freakin hilarious! :lol: Post more soon!
