okay. I felt like writing a fanfic. I have a vague idea how I want this to end but had no idea how to start....

CDDeLorenzo: okay, can you do me just one favor? I have no idea how to start, please give me the first sentence and I'll go on from there
Cate Pike: urgh?

So the first sentence belongs to my wonderful friend Barb and the Division belongs to DJL and I own a new jacket that I totally love.



TEQUILA SUNRISE

"Trees are blue." Nate said as he downed another Tequila.

"Excuse me?" CD said and looked at him. She had just walked in and saw him with his ex-partner Toni and some other of his old buddies from vice at a table. She figured she'd say hi and had walked up.

They all started to laugh at that. "Drinking game..." Nate managed to bring out and as he signaled the waiter for another glass he scooted over a little and pulled CD down so she sat next to him. "Hey everybody, meet my new and charming partner Candace. But don't call her that. Let alone Candy. She goes by CD." He introduced her to them.

"Hey CD." They all cheered in unision, having heard about her plenty already.

Nate grinned and introduced the others. "You already know Toni." The two women smiled at each other and shook hands when Nate wrapped his arm around CD's neck and resting it on her shoulder, a drink in his hand, pointed at the others. "Vincent, Lawrence, Sean, Bruce, Mickey..." That guy was wearing a Mickey Mouse tee-shirt so it was pretty obvious where his nickname came from, "... Bear and Don."

"Hey all." CD smiled as she looked at them. It was obvious that they had been playing their drinking game for a while already. And as far as looks went they all couldn't be more different from each other. Vincent looked like a nice guy next door, brown hair, green eyes, an innocent smile all over his face. Next to him Lawrence, he was wearing a Harley Davidson shirt, leather jacket, with long dark hair, beard and Ray Ban in front of him on the table. Sean was like some people would probably imagine a typical guy with Irish heritage, reddish hair and freckles all over his face. Bruce's name actually was Jason, but he looked exactly like Bruce Willis, so that explained that. When Mickey extended his hand to shake her own CD saw that he also was wearing a Mickey Mouse watch. She gave him a small smile and figured he probably was wearing Mickey Mouse briefs as well. Bear was a big black guy who looked like he could be a successful football player and Don was a blonde sunnyboy in a Hawaiian shirt who probably spent every free second at the beach, riding waves.

When Toni noticed that suddenly CD was the center of their attention she decided that it was time to continue. "Nate." She nudged him. "Your turn."

"I said 'Trees are blue.'" he repeated and smirked.

Then a waiter put a glass in front of CD and Nate filled up all the empty glasses again.

"Ohh... no, no no." CD protested. "Apart from the fact that I have no idea whatever you're doing here, I just wanted to say 'hi'. I have a date here."

"Oh really? Have fun then." Toni said, not minding at all that she'd be the only woman again.

"Then wait here until he gets here." Bear said though.

"Yeah. Nate told us so much about you, we wanna get to know you sunshine." Don grinned at her.

"Definitely." Sean agreed. "Wait with us."

"Yeah, you can play a couple of rounds until your guy shows up, I bet he won't mind. He'd just try to fill you up anyways. He's gonna be happy when you're tipsy already, cause then he's gonna get laid sooner." Lawrence said and laughed. "Come on lady."

Vincent just grinned and looked down while Nate curiously eyed CD. "You didn't even tell me you have a date! How come you didn't tell me you have a date? Who's that guy?" He inquired.

"I uhhh I don't know actually. Magda persuaded me like an hour ago. His name is Juan and he's her cousin's sister's husband's best friend or something." CD shrugged.

"Ooooh blind date." Toni grinned and then an engine sounded loudly and they all looked out of the window to see a red BMW convertible pull up. The license plate read 'Don Juan' and the guy who got out looked worse than any pimp they'd ever seen.

"Oh my god." CD muttered upon that.

"If I were you I'd beat up Magda." Nate chuckled.

"Oh I will." CD hissed and everybody laughed.

"Well have fun on your date then." Toni smirked as Juan walked in and the waiter put down more drinks on their table.

Just acting on impulse Nate took two of them and walked up to the guy. "Hey, you must be Juan."

"Yeah." He gave him a weird look, wondering what that guy would want from him. But Magda had said they all hang out at that bar after work and considering himself the hottest guy since Casanova he was certain she must have been talking about him constantly.

Holding out the drink to him Nate winked. "Magda already told me so much about you. You can call me CD."

He stared at him in disbelief. He couldn't fathom how Magda would set him up with another man. "I gotta go." He just stuttered before hurrying off again. As his wheels screeched and he drove off again Nate walked back to their table.

They looked at him surprised too and then burst out laughing hard. Nate bowed and sat down again and offered the drink to the tall blonde woman who happened to be his partner.

"So you like to be called CD, huh?" She chuckled as she accepted the drink from him.

"Only in emergencies." He clinked his glass against hers and they both took a sip.

"So now that your lame excuse stormed off you gotta stay." Lawrence smirked at her. She seemed like a nice woman and from the way Nate looked at her he knew that even though he'd never admit it, he was under her spell and like he just proved, he'd do anything for her.

"Yeah." Nate smirked at her. "You owe me now because I rescued you from that prick."

"What? No way, you see that the wrong way!" She protested but grinned, glad about that stunt he had pulled in order to 'save' her. "YOU owe ME. I was looking forward to a nice evening with an ... uhm... interesting man and you scared him off." She pointed at him and then took a sip of her cocktail.

"Yeah my friend, she's right, that means now you owe the lady a date." Vincent smiled at them.

"They're partners." Toni said right away at that. "Nate doesn't date his partners!"

"You must know." Don laughed.

"Yeah but then again she isn't her. Just because he didn't date our buddy Toni here doesn't mean he'd spurn a fine rack like CD here, eh?" Lawrence winked at him.

CD growled. "If any of you actually want me to stay... I am NOT a sunshine, rack, chick or whatever else. And let alone a nice lady!"

"Yeah baby." Bear laughed and high fived Lawrence while all the others laughed too.

Nate shook his head and wrapped his arm around her again. "They don't mean it like that. Blame the Tequila but I can assure you they're all nice guys and no matter what they say it's just having some fun and not sexist, okay?"

CD couldn't help but smirk herself. The guys at the felony division were way too scared of her and all the other women so they'd never make fun like that. And somehow she enjoyed it to be seen as a woman instead of a tough cop. "Okay, but I can assure you that in case I break any of their noses or other body parts tonight that in no way that's a sexist action, but just having fun from my side."

"Deal." He laughed and the others joined in again. They already liked her loads and had accepted her as one of them.

Toni rolled her eyes slightly. "So are we gonna continue now or what?"

"Alright let's see..." Sean spoke up. "Tres blue... trees are tall!" At that he knocked back his tequila and a second one right after that.

Vincent and Don started to knock on the table at that while Toni and Mickey applauded.

CD just frowned. "Okay, could somebody please explain this game to me?" She laughed.

"Well let's see... the goal is to get drunk up your ass. And in order to achieve that you just need to say something that doesn't actually make sense even though it has to make sense compared to whatever else has been said somehow." Nate explained and they all laughed and emptied their glasses.

CD frowned even more at that. "I still don't get it. That doesn't make sense."

"She doesn't get it." Toni rolled her eyes. "How much easier can rules get blondie, huh?"

"Hey watch it!" CD glared at her.

"Hey girls. Cool it!" Bear said. "I guess in order for this to make sense you need to catch up with our Tequila level a little." He chuckled and motioned at her still full glass. "But seeing you didn't drink you'll have to down three more as fine anyways."

"Since when do we have a fine?" Mickey asked.

"I said she has to drink three more as fine so we have a fine." Bear gave Mickey a look.

Nate laughed again. "See? It perfectly makes sense." He winked at CD.

"If you say so." She laughed herself and knocked back the shot of Tequila and without blinking the three fine shots followed as well.

"You go girl!" Nate cheered her on and the others cheered in agreement.

She chuckled and even though the rules still weren't quite making sense to her yet she was having fun. Mainly though because she was so close to Nate and she was having fun whenever he was around, no matter what was going on.

LOL I like all the triple dancing here! :) And as for the 'game' uuuuh.... I thought it wouldn't even make sense lol. At least it doesn't make sense to me, and I'm the one who 'invented' it lol. But they have an even funnier game later ;)

"Wow you noticed that?" CD said sarcastically and the others laughed again.

"Hush, it's part of the game." Nate filled up her glass again and then Don's. "Here, drink, fine." Nate smirked at CD again.

"God I suck at this. I get fined incessantly." But she emptied the glass and Nate right away filled it up again.

"We didn't even have fines before you came." Toni glared at her. Usually the guys were filling her up, wanting to prove she could never drink them under the table. But she had never given up even though so far she hadn't won a single time. "CD's a tall blue tree!" Toni announced and drank her shot.

"I'm not!" CD protested right away, starting to feel the alcohol in her system already too.

"FINE!" Toni yelled and glared at her.

"Go fine yourself!" CD glared back.

"That's gonna get interesting." Lawrence whispered to Vincent who nodded and grinned.

"Fine for the females." Vincent then announced and motioned the waiter to bring them another bottle because he emptied the other one into CD and Toni's glasses.

Still glaring at each other the two women drank the Tequila.

Holding the empty bottle still Vincent grinned at CD and then put the bottle down in the middle of the table, lying on the side. "How about a new game?"

"You got to be kidding!" Toni protested.

"No seriously... the adults rules though." Vincent said.

"I'm in." Lawrence laughed. "The bottle points at you and you can decide, kiss or Tequila shot. If both decide on the booze it's one shot, but if only one decides on the booze it's one shot for the one who wanted to kiss and three for the one who wanted the booze."

"Bring it on!" Bear reached for the bottle.

"No no no, ladies first." Bruce stopped him.

"Alright." Toni agreed now and reached for the bottle and started to spin it.

CD laughed. "I got to be dreaming this. This is like highschool all over again."

"Yeah, minus skipping school though." Nate added. "Ya know, a very wise man always said 'The best thing about being an adult is that you can behave like a kid and don't have to fear consequences."

"Said who?" Toni asked.

"Me." Nate smirked.

"The wise Nathan Basso... who hasn't heard his notorious tales already?" CD laughed and the others joined in.

!!!!!!!!MMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOORRRRRRREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

The bottle stopped pointing at Sean. "Booze" he and Toni exclaimed at the same time and drank their Tequila. Then it was Sean's turn and the bottle stopped pointing at Lawrence. They both decided to drink as well. The same when the bottle stopped on Bruce now.

Then he spun it and it stopped pointing at CD. "Jackpot!" He exclaimed and made a kissy face.

CD laughed and decided the hell with it, either Nate wouldn't care, or better yet she could get him jealous maybe. "Alright c'mere." She leaned over the table and gave him a quick peck on the lips. Nate slightly growled when everybody cheered at that.

When the bottle was turning again it stopped at the only person who was not hoping for a kiss from CD: Toni. Of course the guys, all but Nate, started to chant "KISS KISS KISS!" right away.

"I'm so not drunk enough for that yet." Toni said and CD agreed so they both drank their shots and the guys hoped that if the bottle would stop for a CD/Toni constellation again they'd be more filled up by then.

But after that neither Toni nor CD 'won' again for quite a while. The most frequent pairing was Vincent/Bruce. The bottle had pointed at the other one again and again nine times in a row already. "One more and I'll kiss ya baby." Bruce joked.

Vincent laughed and agreed. No one had expected the bottle to point at Vincent again but it did. And of course now everybody was cheering for that kiss and they leaned over the table, kissed quickly and after that downed a Tequila anyways. The others laughed and all knocked back one too.

The next spin pointed at Nate and it was his turn for the first time. They both wanted booze and Nate set the bottle in motion again. It stopped between CD and Toni.

Everybody laughed again. "Kiss em both." Don called out.

CD and Toni looked at each other and got up and kissed him on both cheeks at the same time and then sat down again.

Nate smirked broadly. He hadn't even noticed that Toni had kissed his other cheek, but he was still feeling CD's lips. "I'm starting to like this game." He announced and his buddies laughed but the girls rolled their eyes.

"Your turn again." Mickey said and this time the bottle pointed at Lawrence. Both him and Nate wanted a drink.

While the bottle continued to roll for a while Sean got a phonecall from his wife. He hung up after a while and sighed. "Donna wants me to come home."

"I'll come with ya, then we can share a cab." Lawrence said because he lived closeby and knew that they were all way too drunk to drive. They said their goodbyes and left.

"Actually I should go back to Carol myself." Vincent smiled. "She said she doesn't mind, but I still should head home."

"Hey my brother wanted to pick me up after his shift. He should be here any minute now." Bruce said and at that moment he waved over at a guy who entered the bar. "There he is... we can take ya along."

"Great, let's go then." Vincent and Bruce hugged everybody and then left with the uniformed officer who was Bruce's younger brother.

"Sure." Bruce said and Toni waved at Don, Bear, Mickey, Nate and CD who were still sitting at the table before she left with the other guys.

It had been Don's turn so he spun the bottle again. It stopped pointing at CD and he wiggled his eyebrows and winked at her.

CD laughed at that and leaned over and gave him a peck like she had done with Bruce.

Don smirked and Bear laughed. "Just hope your boyfriend won't find out you're kissing Nate's girl here."

"He's in Vegas and has a show in the Golden Nugget. I'm sure he won't hold it against me." He sighed. "But I really miss him. We talked on the phone earlier and he told me he's gonna wear my favorite dress."

"He's a drag queen and touring through the country with a comedy show." Nate told CD who looked a little puzzled.

"Oooh I see." She smiled at Don. "I bet he is missing you too."

"He better." Don grinned and winked at her. "Your turn sunshine."

CD smiled and spun the bottle again and it pointed at Nate. Rather awkwardly the two partners looked at each other now.

"Oh come on!" Bear exclaimed.

"Yeah, you kissed Bruce and Don, you can kiss Nate too." Mickey agreed.

"But we're partners." Both CD and Nate said at the same time.

"Well we're not gonna let you get away with drinking so you have no choice." Don said. Even though they had just met CD it was more than obvious that they both wanted to be more than partners deep down.

CD looked at Nate and shrugged. "It's just a game..."

"Yeah." He nodded and scooted a little closer to her.

She closed what little distance was left between them and gently kissed his lips, closing her eyes as she felt a jolt of electricity rush through her whole body when her lips touched his.

Nate felt the same thing and put his hands on her hips as he couldn't help but softly kiss her back. When she didn't protest he nuzzled his lips against hers.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and they both forgot everything around them as they deepened the kiss even more. She flickered her tongue out against his lips and gently traced them before he slightly opened his mouth to do the same and realize he had never tasted anything sweeter. It didn't take long before their tongues found each other and tangoed together. Their passion was rising the hotter their kiss became. Soon they sucked on each other's tongues hungrily and not breaking the kiss Nate pulled CD even closer to himself. She responded to that by climbing on his lap.

"Partners..." Bear said and Mickey and Don had to laugh a little.

"Hey guys..." Mickey tried but neither CD nor Nate even heard him. All they were aware of was each other and how long they had waited for this moment to finally resolve years of built up passion in a kiss.

"I think it's time for us to head home as well, huh?" Don said. He had promised to call his darling after the show again anyways and he couldn't wait to tell him about the show he got to see here just now.

"Yeah, hey, there's French." Bear said and motioned to a young uniformed officer who had just entered as well and was paying for take out. They knew him because he was Bruce's brother's partner. And everybody called him French because his parents came to San Francisco from Paris. "Though I'm starting to think we should start calling those two here Mr and Mrs French soon." He motioned at CD and Nate who were still deeply engulfed with each other.

"I think we're gonna have to write 'Cause of death: suffocated while sucking face' on their graves tomorrow." Mickey laughed.

"Either way, we all need a ride home." Don chuckled. "No wait, they just need a bed."

"I'm thinking they don't even care anymore." Bear said and then got up and walked over to French to ask him if he could drive them home. He of course agreed and Bear waved the others over.

CD and Nate eventually had to break for air and looked at each other shocked because of what had just happened. That made the guys laugh again.

While CD quickly climbed off Nate again he stammered "Uuuhhh sorry." And CD blushed.

The guys grinned and Bear walked back to the table again with French in tow. "Oh come on, the only ones surprised about that are the two of you. Even though I don't get it how you can be shocked when not even we are..."

Don laughed. "He has a point I think. Anyhow we're gonna head home, French is driving us."

"Wait... and what about us?" CD asked. "We'd be alone then..."

"That's why." Mickey smirked.

"Wait... no, you can't just leave us behind!" Nate exclaimed after exchanging another glance with CD. They both were slightly scared of what would happen then. As it was now they still could just write it off as kiss because of playing Spin the Bottle. But they also knew that once they were alone they most likely wouldn't be able to control themselves anymore.

Don paid the bill and handed Nate a still half-full bottle of Tequila. "Now you're not alone." He laughed.

French frowned and didn't quite know what was going on. "Hey, if you manage to squish into my car I can drive all of you home, no problem."

"Great!" CD exclaimed and got up. Then she extended her hand cause she didn't know him yet. "CD."

"French." He smiled. "I'm a cop."

"Oooh that explains the uniform then." CD laughed and the others joined in as they walked out and to his car.

But I'm nice, so here's a lil more even without torture ;)

Bear sat down in the passenger's seat because he was the biggest one of them. Don and Mickey climbed into the back and they had to realize the squishing would become a problem. The car was small and even a third person hardly had enough space next to them, let alone both CD and Nate. So the two looked into the car, at each other, at French and at each other again.

"What's the problem?" French asked and nodded at Nate. "You climb in and the lady in your lap again."

"Move it Nate." Mickey called out. "If I'm home in 20 minutes I can watch Beauty and the Beast on the Disney Channel!"

"I thought you have all of those movies on tape?" Don asked.

"Well yeah but it's not the same to watch it from a tape or live..." He grinned.

Bear shook his head and chuckled. "Yeah, move it Nate! You heard him."

He quickly looked at CD again and took another sip of the Tequila bottle that he still was holding and then handed that to CD. All the alcohol had taken away his ability to use his brain, especially after that kiss. So he just did what he had been told and climbed in. CD took a sip herself and climbed in after him and sat down in his lap. She handed the bottle to Don as she and Nate tried to find a position to sit halfway comfortably. French got in himself and started to drive and was slightly pissed that he had to drive and thus couldn't drink from the bottle that was being passed around. And apart from that he kept on getting kicked into the back or something.

"Wait... wait." Nate said and leaned back. "Turn around so you're facing me, that should work." Their heights made it hard to just sit in the small car comfortably on top of each other.

CD turned around and straddled him. He had been right, that position was comfortable enough for the ride. "Ooooh, okay. This works." The two grinned at each other. The next turn was a really sharp one so CD quickly wrapped her arms around Nate's neck in order not to fall over on the other two.

Bear handed the bottle back again and they continued to pass it around until it was empty. Short after that French had to kick down the breaks when a traffic light turned red right in front of them. That pressed them all into the seats and CD even closer to Nate. They hit their heads and at that point just couldn't restrain anymore and were drawn to each other, already addicted to one another their lips just came crashing down to the other one's and right away their tongues found each other again too and CD ripped Nate's shirt open, sending buttons flying everywhere as her hands caressed all over his chest. He returned that favor of course and opened her shirt the same way.

The guys couldn't help but cheer when they saw that but their cheering came to a sudden halt when Nate, like CD, meanwhile completely unaware about his surroundings again, pushed her down and leaned on top of her, his hands roaming her body.

Bear burst out laughing at the expressions of his friends who suddenly had a couple making out on top of them.

French pulled up in front of Don's place and turned around to announce they had reached the first destination but upon seeing what was going on he just blinked. "I guess it's true what they say about you Vice guys... you're all completely crazy."

"Yeah I can see that!" He had to laugh too now as Mickey and Don managed to squirm out from underneath CD and Nate who hardly even noticed and couldn't care less.

"You happen to have some space on your couch for me tonight? No one gets me to enter that car again!" Mickey said.

Don laughed. "Sure. I even have the Disney channel."

"Great!" He grinned and waved at the others. "Night guys."

"Yeah night." Don said as well and then they walked inside.

"Where to now?" French asked just as CD and Nate had come up for air again.

"Green Street." CD announced and Nate right away claimed her mouth again and they continued to make out in the backseat.

"What the hell?" French shook his head.

Bear laughed. "That my friend is what happens when the power of true love is unleashed."

"Scary." He chuckled and drove a few more blocks until they arrived at CD's place. But he had to honk to get their attention. "Here we are."

Upon that CD and Nate looked up and quickly adjusted their shirts again. "Bye then." They said in unision and climbed out of the car that sped off again right away.

CD reached for his hand. "You wanna stay the night, right?" She looked at him with big eyes.

"More than everything." He nodded and gently kissed as he sweeped her up in his arms and carried her inside.

Once they were inside Nate sat her down again and they kissed in a frenzy as Nate kicked the door shut again. They couldn't tear each others clothes off fast enough and didn't even give a damn about whereever they tossed them and that some things fell off her shelves because the clothes were thrown against them full of power. Then Nate picked her up again and leaned her against the door. CD wrapped her legs around his hips and he took her right there and then. They had waited so very long for this moment and the sex was even better than they'd ever dreamed. They had been so incredibly aroused so it didn't last long. But it was amazing nevertheless.

Still panting he held on to her. "Oh god baby." He managed to get out.

"Hell yeah." She smiled and kissed him again right away.

Returning that kiss he wanted to carry her into the bedroom but as soon as they reached the couch they were all turned on again already so he gently put her down and started to explore her body thoroughly. Wanting her to enjoy it as much as possible and wanting to treat her especially not just for her pleasure but as well for his own he kissed and caressed her everywhere before giving her head more thorough than either of them would have ever thought possible. She screamed out his name in delight when he got her to take off completely.

Out of breath she pulled him up again to steal another kiss. He was grinning smugly because she had obviously enjoyed that. She got her breathing under control again and grinned as smugly when she pushed him on his back. Unfortunately that was a little too powerful and he rolled off the couch and crashed into the coffeetable. Since they were still holding onto each other he pulled her with him. But neither of them paid much attention to the table that had crushed because of that.

CD was determined now to return the favor and trailed kisses all over his body while her hands did wonders to him elsewhere. Soon her hands and lips met at his most sensitive spot and she gave him the most incredible blow job ever. At that point he was sure he had died and gone to heaven because he was sure nothing ever could top that when he came full force and cried out for her.

But only a few moments later he was proven wrong when kissing and caressing each other made them long for even more and CD straddled him and rode them into oblivion. This time they took it a little bit slower and were completely spent by the time CD collapsed on him. He kissed her temple and took in her intoxicating scent. She smiled broadly and entertwined her hand with his. He smiled back at her and their lips locked for a gentle kiss filled with love and devotion.

"Thirsty?" She whispered when they had to break for air again.

"Uh huh." He nodded.

"Me too." She said and got up and walked into the kitchen.

But being seperated from her for a minute only tortured him so Nate followed her. She had just opened the fridge and felt his strong arms encircle her from behind as he placed kisses at the nape of her neck and all along her shoulders then.

She took a bottle of water out of the fridge and then turned around in his embrace. "I thought you were thirsty." She whispered.

"Later." He whispered back as he took the bottle from her and put it away kissing her again.

She responded to his kiss and completely forgot about her own thirst, longing for him way more than she could ever long for some water. He picked her up and wanted to lean her against the fridge but didn't notice that was open still, so they stumbled into it a little and most of the contents fell out and broke. But again they couldn't care less about that mishap. Instead Nate sat her down on the counter now and when he had her breast right in front of his face because of that he used the opportunity to pay special attention to them and make her moan for more.

Encouraged by that he climbed up on the counter as well and on top of her. Driven by their immense lust they right away started to rock against each other while their tongues duelled. Soon things heated up a lot and CD reached behind her for somthing to support herself. She got hold of the faucet but after a couple of thrusts she suddenly held it in her hand. Since it now was an obstacle she just wanted to throw it out of the window but didn't realize that that was still closed so the faucet shattered through it. CD chuckled at that. "Touché." She turned her head around and motioned towards the bottle of water.

He nodded and got up again and held his hand out to her to help her up again as well. She smiled and slipped her hand into his. He opened the bottle and held it out to her and made her drink from it first before he emptied the rest.

Smiling at her he just tossed the empty bottle behind him. They heard something shatter but didn't turn around. Nate put his hands on her hips and kissed her all along her jawline, down her neck, through the valley of her breasts and her belly button.

CD was really enjoying that he was going down on her again and her hands massaged his shoulders while Nate who was kneeling meanwhile kissed all along the insides of her thighs and by now already knew exactly where he had to kiss and touch her to drive her crazy. She whimpered in delight and craved more so she didn't protest when he pulled her down on the ground with him. Teasingly they wrestled with each other for a while before they gave in to their desires again and rolling around through what had fallen out of her fridge earlier waxed the ground.

After they had come together again they laid in each others arms for a while and just enjoyed their close proximity. Suddenly CD started to chuckle.

"What?" Nate asked, wondering what was amusing her so much.

"We look like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich." She wiped some jelly off his shoulder.

"Sticky." She tried to wipe her hand clean.

"Yeah." He nodded. "I think we need a shower."

"Good plan." CD agreed.

Nate got up and picked her up. "I'll carry you." He whispered and stole another kiss from her. But they only made it to the wall across from the bathroom door before they couldn't resist any longer and coupled again. Neither of them knew exactly what it was that made them screw like the rabbits. Mutual lust, the impact of the alcohol that made them horny or simply the fact that neither of them had gotten laid in ages. But they were certain that under no circumstances it could be love. They were partners and friends and attracted to each other, nothing more. And it was only the alcohol in their systems that caused them to overstep their boundaries.

But neither of them wanted to think about that further right now so they left the wall, that was full of ketchup and various other sticky substances now as well.

Once inside the bathroom he staggered to the shower with her, wiping some things off the sink in the process. But once they were in the shower she started the water and lathered Nate up whith soap, massaging all over his body by that. He moaned because under he touch he really forgot about everything and anything around. And even though it was late already he wasn't tired yet. Probably just because what his body craved more than sleep right now was her touch.

As she was washing his skin he started to pour some shampoo into her hair and massaged her scalp. She completely relaxed and leaned into his touch, enjoying that very much. After a while they just smiled at each other and she handed him the shower foam while he gave her the shampoo and they switched so she was caressing through his hair whith the shampoo while he was running his hands over every curve of her body, getting her clean again.

Of course all these touches and caresses left their impact. CD and Nate looked deep into each others eyes, not even aware of the water pouring down on them anymore, they dropped shampoo and shower foam and fell into each others arms again and kissed like it was the first time, exploring each other's mouths eagerly.

CD slid her leg up and her thigh pressed against his. He moaned into her mouth and grabbed her butt and kneaded it gently but with pressure which caused her to jump up at him. He hadn't quite expected that and in addition to that the ground was slippery, so he lost his balance and together they fell over and out of the shower, tearing the shower curtain down with them. Noticing their mishap they looked at each other and laughed wholeheartedly.

"You okay?" CD asked and stroked over his cheeks, lying on top of him.

He nodded. "You?"

She nodded as well and they passionately kissed again. Soon the shock was forgotten completely again and Nate rolled them around so he was on top now.
Not breaking the kiss he entered her slowly and their lust took over again until they were completely spent again. Snuggling close to him she was gently caressing his chest. He smiled at her broadly and kissed her forehead.

"I think my bed is more comfortable than the ground here." She whispered and gently kissed his lips.

"Then what are we waiting for?" He gently kissed her back and again picked her up and carried her into her bedroom where they cuddled in bed and continued to make love until they pretty much passed out due to exhaustion.

In the morning the first streaks of sunlight, or maybe the shrill ringing of CD's alarm clock forced them to open their eyes again slowly. CD soon became aware of the fact that she was lying in somebody's arms and turned around to see Nate next to her, naked in all his glory. That shocked her because the alcohol had blown away her memory of the previous night. She screamed in the first state of shock.

That caused Nate to scream as well, until he realized what must have shocked her so much because he was slowly realizing it as well. He was in her bed, and she looked like a Greek goddess. A naked greek goddess. And he couldn't help but stare at her for a moment until they both came to their senses again and stopped screaming.

CD grabbed the bedsheet and wrapped it around her as she got up. Upon that Nate quickly reached for a pillow to cover his most important bone. He was the first one to find his voice again. He cleared his throat and looked around the bedroom that was in shambles and then back at CD. "Do you think we... uhh..." He looked around the room again.

Her looks followed his and she had to swallow as she nodded. "Unless somebody was really mad at me and paid me a visit last night... but I think we would have noticed that... or?"

He shrugged. "Don't look at me. I'm sorry but I don't remember a damn thing." He thought concentrating on whatever had occured last night.

She sighed and nodded. "The last thing I remember is Spin the Bottle with your buddies... Geez." Then she frowned and looked ay him curiously. "Did you ever wake up like this with Toni?"

He shook his head. "Never, I solemnly swear. Not with anybody... well not like this... I mean of course there have been others... but not Toni!" He stammered.

"Just wondering." She shrugged but was relieved about that.

Then he looked at her curiously. "And you? You and Dick... ever?"

"PLEASE!" She said shocked. "Dick was like a father to me."

"I take that as a no." He smiled, relieved himself. Then he got up himself, still holding that pillow and looking around the room once more in an attempt to find his clothes. "But you think we..." He cleared his throat slightly embarrassed. That was like his best dream ever only to wake up in the morning, knowing he had had that dream but not able to remember a single thing about it. Except it wasn't a dream, it had been real even. His biggest dream had come true and if he could have just one wish, he'd wish he'd be able to remember. "... we... ehh..." He looked at the bed again.

"... played hide the salami?" She finished the sentence for him.

Though that wasn't at all how he would have said it he nodded. "Something like that, yeah."

"Hmmm, let's see inspector... we're both naked... my bedroom looks like a rock band toured through it, we were more boozed up than a cheap Santa imitation on x-mas after a dozen egg nog office parties..." Then something caught her eye and she reached out to slightly tilt his head to the side and then nodded. "And you have a passion bite of the the size of Lake Michigan there... though I can't remember being the cause of that so I won't make any claims there..."

“Ehhh...” Nate blushed and slightly rubbed his neck where she had pointed. “Well I can’t have done it myself... though I might have done this one...” He slightly touched her neck where she spotted one herself.

CD had to blush as well. “Seems like we had fun at least.” She took a deep breath. “Alright, let’s treat this like adults, okay?” She was sure Nate was already regretting having slept with her because they were partners and friends. And they were great as that.

“Of course.” Nate smiled at her but then realized that she didn’t seem to be the slightest bit happy about the situation.. “I mean, we’re cool, right?”

CD nodded. “Yeah sure... I mean it’s kinda weird cause we’re partners and all... but we don’t even remember it, so it shouldn’t be too hard to write it off as just some one night stand, right?” What she was scared of most was to lose her best friend. So she hoped they could just return to normal again.

“Sure, of course.” He nodded. If that was what she wanted he was more than happy with it. He was scared that she’d want to get rid of him as partner now.

She nodded. “Good then. Uhh, want some coffee?”

He nodded as well. “That’d be nice, thanks.”

“Okay, I’ll just take a shower and get dressed.” With that she went into her bathroom, swallowed and took a deep breath upon seeing the destruction there.

Nate meanwhile made his way to the livingroom as he was looking for his clothes. “Whoa.” He muttered upon seeing the chaos.

“The bathroom doesn’t look much better.” CD said, now wearing an old pair of jeans and a shirt. She went to the kitchen, wanting to make the promised coffee. “And neither does the kitchen.” She called out.

He swallowed and followed her. “I’m sorry.”

“Don’t worry, I wanted to renovate the place anyways.” She smiled.

He nodded. “Wild night, huh?”

“Seems like it.” She nodded herself.

He swallowed because wondering just what exactly they had done was driving him crazy. “Uhh, thanks for that coffee... I should go home... I’ll see you at work?”

She nodded. “Just like usual. I mean, you don’t tell anybody, I won’t tell anybody and we won’t have a reason to kill each other.”

“Right.” He nodded and quickly left because the smell of sex still lingering in the air, her close approximacy, her perfect body, the lack of memory, all of that was driving him insane. Close to despair he rushed away because he knew had he stayed another second he would have done something stupid.

Of course once they were at work again the “pretend it never happened” thing was easier said than done. It started when they both arrived at the same time, and both lost in thoughts bumped into each other when they wanted to enter the elevator,

“HEY!” CD called out. “Can’t you watch where you’re going?”

While Jinny and Magda who were in the elevator as well expected some ‘oops, sorry – d0n’t worry about it’ thing they got to see the complete opposite.

“What ME?” Nate yelled outraged. “YOU bumped into ME! ”

“Hey, that never would have happened if you had paid attention.” CD yelled back.

“Oh yeah, sure, blame me again. Blame me for everything that clearly was your own fault. You screw up but of course it’s my fault. How insane is that?” He glared at her.

“You must talk about insanity. I’ve never met somebody who belonged into a madhouse more than you!” She glared right back at him.

“I sure as hell hope we wouldn’t have to share a cell then.” He yelled at her.

“I’d hang myself with my shoelaces after only five minutes then! Or better yet I’d hang you!” CD was clearly pissed.

Magda looked at Jinny who tried hard not to laugh because the whole fight was more than hilarious. “Bad case of PMS?” Magda chuckled.

“Shh or they’ll start with you.” Jinny whispered to her partner and they continued to watch the fight.

“God I can’t believe I have such a bitch as partner!” He glared at her.

CD glared back. “And you’re a lousy bastard and the worst inspector I’ve ever met!”
“Then you should look into a mirror every now and then. It’d shock you what you’d see then!” Nate couldn’t believe himself that they were argueing like this.

“You damn a$$hole! Go fu-ck yourself!” The elevator doors opened and she stormed out into the bullpen.

Nate right away stormed after her. “I bet I’d find somebody else to do that within five minutes!”

“Well you must know. I bet you still know a lot of whores from your days on Vice.” She yelled at him, not giving a damn that the whole office was listening.

“You cheap little slut!” He couldn’t care less about their audience either.

“Bastard!” She leaped at him and with her arm around his neck tried to push him to the ground.

He of course defended himself and grabbed her by the side and by her thigh and they pushed each other down to the ground and now rolled through the bullpen fighting.

Alarmed by the noise Kate walked out of her office and right away saw her two brawling inspectors on the ground. She couldn’t believe her eyes and had to blink. “What the HELL is going on here?” She called out as she grabbed both CD and Nate by their ears and pulled them up again. She hadn’t done something like that ever since her daughter had outgrown her phase of getting into fights with her friends.

“HEY OUUUUUCH!” They both whined just the same.

Kate took a deep breath and looked at them and then let go of them again. “Okay, please tell me why you were just fighting like school kids.”

CD and Nate looked at each other, neither of them remembering how or why their fight had started.

“They bumped into each other and then quarrelled all the way up in the elevator.” Magda told Kate right away.

At that moment Raina rushed inside. “What what? Where? Who was fighting?” She asked curiously.

Jinny rolled her eyes and sat down at her desk. “I’m staying out of this!” She said.

Kate looked at all of them now. “This is a prank, isn’t it?”

At that CD saw their chance to get out of it with as much damage control as possible so she started to laugh and nodded and pointed at Kate. “You should have seen your face, You totally fell for it!”

“Huh?” Nate frowned but CD elbowed him and he started to laugh too, getting her hint. “Yeah for real! That was hilarious!”

Kate shook her head in disbelief. “What a kindergarden.” She muttered and went back into her office.

Now all of them started to laugh, believing CD and Nate had played a trick on all of them. “Man you really had us fooled there.” Jinny chuckled.

“Anyhow... we have a case.” CD glared at Nate who glared back. “Move it!”

He rolled his eyes. “At your command.” He snapped sarcastically and followed her. For the rest of the day they pretty much just ignored each other unless they really neccessarily had to exchange a few words over the case. That wasn’t too hard to solve and by the end of the day they had the guy who confessed everything to Raina who had helped them on the case. He had told her he’d admit everything if she’d just keep those two insane whackos, meaning CD and Nate, away from him.

That condition didn’t change much during the next days. When they weren’t ignoring each other they were fighting over nothing. Though it stayed at verbal fights thankfully. And the more time passed the more harmless those became again. No one knew what caused their recent behavior but no one dared to ask either. And they all were glad as slowly everything started to go back to normal again. Indeed a few weeks later they were the old ones again. Best friends and amazing partners who were inseperable and thankfully and unbeknownst to all the others had finally overcome their differences about their one night stand. Though had they truthfully talked it out they would have realized that actually they both really wanted the same thing and didn’t just both pretend to be wanting the same thing. But maybe their thoughts had just become way too confusing and going in circles they had ended up again where they had started.

But whatever the case, they were good friends again and never mentioned their one wild night to each other or to anybody else. Though they thought about it constantly and the only thing they were regretting was not being able to remember it.

Almost a couple of months later they were peacefully driving to a crime scene, Nate behind the wheel and CD sitting in the passenger seat, munching a chocolate bar that she had found in the glove compartment. “Oh oh HEY! Stop the car!” CD suddenly called out, pounding on the dash-board.

“What?” He looked at her perplexed.

“Right there!” She pointed at the curb. “STOP THE DAMN CAR!”

Still shocked Nate stopped the car immediately and watched how she jumped out and stormed to a hot-dog vendor on the sidewalk and then sat back down in the car again, eating a hot-dog covered in a ton of mustard. “A hot-dog?” He asked stunned. “All this fuss for a HOT-DOG?” He still couldn’t believe it. That was so unlike CD.

“I was hungry dammit, now shut up and drive!” She glared at him.

‘Women’ He thought to himself, sighed and drove off to the scene again. A teenager had slit her wrists in the bathtub. She was fifteen years old and her suicide note said that she just couldn’t take it anymore. Nate was asking her older brother a few questions and found out that her boyfriend had just broken up with her and started to date her best friend instead. She had been very upset about it and the whole family had tried to console her but didn’t think too much of it because teenagers these days changed their boyfriends more often than their underwear. He was still very shocked because no one had seen it coming. But all the evidences were clear, she had killed herself. After Nate had his statement he went back into the living-room where CD had wanted to question the mother.

When he entered the room he was completely taken aback because as well the mother but also CD were crying their eyes out while a young officer tried his best to calm the two women down again. But they were both sobbing uncontrollably. “Oh my god, what happened?” He asked worried.

The officer slightly shrugged and stepped aside for Nate.

“How can you even ask that?” The mother glared at him. “My baby girl killed herself.” She sobbed even more at hearing those words out of her own mouth,

CD sobbed along with her and nodded. “She was so young...”

Nate nodded. “I’m so sorry for your loss ma’am.” He then wrapped his arm around CD’s shoulder. “Please excuse us.” He knew that sometimes CD let get cases too close and that it was best to get her out of there for now. They had all the information that they needed and of course, the suicide of a young girl was a horrible thing, but yet CD shouldn’t get so worked up about it. Slowly he led her outside and to their car again and handed her a paper tissue.

She took it gladly and sniffed into it.

Nate sighed and hugged her and put his hands over her head protectively as he held her and her sobs slowly subsided. He was glad that she was calming down again and kissed the top of her head before letting go of her again.

“Sorry.” She wiped the last tears away.

“Don’t worry about it.” He gave her a small smile. “What’s wrong? What happened?”

“I don’t even know.” She sighed and shrugged. “It just came over me...” She sniffed again and then took a deep breath. “I think it’s just... when I was her age... I thought about it myself... with everything that had happened. But I realized it isn’t worth it. That no matter what happened one day my life would get better again if only I made it better. And so I did. I can’t understand how a young girl like that can throw her life away over anything.” She sighed again.

“It’s okay.” He gently rubbed over her back. “I’m sorry CD, I really am. But look at yourself. You did great, You’re a very strong woman, but not everybody is like that. So please don’t be upset anymore.”

She nodded and took another deep breath. “Yeah... I’m okay again.... I really am.” She gave him a small smile and walked around the car. “Come on, I’ll buy ya some ice-cream.” She grinned and sat down behind the wheel.

Nate chuckled slightly, glad that she was feeling better again and got into the car himself. They arrived at the ice-cream parlor and he ordered his usual extreme chololate and was stunned at the amount of various flavors that CD wolfed down. But his mom had already told him that when you’re upset there’s nothing that helps as good to make it better like ice-cream. He smiled at her as they silently ate.

When they arrived at the station again a while later Nate went into Kate’s office to fill her up on the case and that it definitely hadn’t been murder but a suicide.

Meanwhile CD paced back and forth in front of the vending machines, glancing over at them continuously.

Jinny saw that and chuckling walked up to her. “On a diet?”

CD growled and shook her head. “No change.”

Laughing Jinny handed her some quarters. “You know that stuff is crap though, don’tcha?”

CD nodded and right away put the money into the machine. “Jinny you’re my savior! I’m starving. I honestly couldn’t care less what I’m eating right now.” The machine was bitching around again and normally CD would just punch it. But right now she kicked it full force. At least that worked and she got her sandwich. “Finally!” She tore the package open and stuffed half of it into her mouth immediately and walked off again.

Shaking her head Jinny watched after her. “She’s around Nate too much...” She chuckled.

Looking for his partner Nate walked out of Kate’s office again. “Hey has anybody seen CD?” He called out as he couldn’t spot her.

Magda had just walked in and nodded as she put a paper cup of coffee down on her desk. “She and Raina just went to get lunch at the Anchorside.”

“What? Seriously?” Jinny asked.

“Yeah, I was wondering too.” Magda nodded.

“Wondering about what?” Kate asked, walking out of her office.

“CD.” Magda replied.

“How come?” Kate frowned.

“She’s strange today.” It was Magda again who answered Kate.

“Why?” Kate continued to ask, getting annoyed by having to ask for every single detail.

“She and Raina just went to have lunch together!” Magda said. “Now, we all know that either Jinny here or CD will bite off Raina’s head one day... and now the two are having lunch together? CD will strangle her at the first word of gossip!”

Kate rolled her eyes. “Magda....” She started but then decided against it because it was helpless anyways. “How’s the family?”

“Ehh... uhh... fine.” She quickly hurried off again to avoid further questions.

Jinny chuckled. “She ran into Jonah the other day...”

“Oooooh!” Nate and Kate both exclaimed at that and laughed then.

“What’s so funnyyyyy?” Raina asked upon walking back in with CD who was slurping a milkshake.

“Nevermind.” Kate said and went back to her office.

Raina shrugged and followed Kate, wanting to tell her about something.

Nate grinned and walked up to CD. “So you actually survived lunch with Raina, huh? Though I must say I feel neglected.” He pouted. “Usually we always go together.”

CD rolled her eyes. “I’m not your babysitter. Leave me alone!” With that she sat down at her desk and continued to work on some paperwork.

Nate frowned because he was certain he hadn’t done the slightest thing to piss her off. But he knew better than to ask, so he just left her alone and spent the rest of the day not talking to her anymore. Every now and then he’d glance over at her though and it seemed that she constantly was chewing around on some chocolate bar.

Everybody else had noticed that too, but what they also noticed was that Nate as well was constantly munching chocolate. For him that wasn’t unusual though. “Oh my god!” Jinny said when both CD and Nate had a chocolate bar in their mouths at the end of the day on their way out. “It’s contagious! Look, CD got the chocolate disease from Nate!”

They both glared at Jinny and then at everybody else laughed at that.

Kate nodded. “Yeah guys... now that is incurable... you two will have to deal with that for the rest of your lives now.”

CD rolled her eyes at that. “Why don’t you just all go to hell and leave me alone?” Angrily she slammed the remaints of the chocolate bar into the nearest trash can and stormed off.

Nate sighed. “She’s had a tough day.”

“Seems like it.” Kate frowned. “I hope she’ll feel better tomorrow.”

Indeed in the next morning CD walked into the bullpen with the biggest grin plastered all over her face. “Goooooood morning everybody!” She called out.

The others all were there already because CD was a little late. Kate heard her joyful greeting and poked her head out of the office to see what was going on.

Surprised everybody looked up at CD. They couldn’t remember ever having seen her so annoyingly joyful.

“That’s the Raina effect.” Jinny whispered to Kate. “She shouldn’t have had lunch with her yesterday.”

Kate chuckled. “I think she’s sugar high.” She motioned to the huge Dunkin’ Donuts box that CD was holding.

CD grinned at them. “Oh come on! I’m in a good mood! Besides this is the most delicious stuff I’ve ever tasted...” She opened the box that was filled to the rim with assorted donuts. “Besides we’re cops... we’re supposed to eat donuts.” She cracked. “So I figured... hey, it’s a wonderful day, why shouldn’t I surprise my wonderful friends with a wonderful breakfast?”

“What the hell were you smoking?” Jinny asked and grinned. “And why weren’t you sharing?”

CD gave her a look at that.

Nate laughed. “Well I don’t know about you guys, but I like her idea.” He reached into the box, grabbing a chocolate covered donut.

At that CD slapped his hand.

“Hey ouch!” He protested

CD took the donut away from him again. “Not that one! That’s mine.” She started to munch it and kept a close eye on Nate as he took another one out of the box instead. She slightly growled but let him have it.

“Hmmm, those really are good.” Nate said and took the box away from CD and started to pass it around after CD managed to grab another handful.

Jinny smirked at that. “Now I got it! Worked up quite an appetite last night, eh CD? That’d explain why you’re so awfully cheerful as well: Because you got laid!!!”

Nate choked on his bite. “What? Really? With who?” He looked at CD shocked.

CD smirked at him. “Wouldn’t you just love to know?”

“Actually I couldn’t care less Miss One Night Stands.” He rolled his eyes and looked away from her again.

“Wait that’s Jinny.” Magda said, wanting to joke along with them.

Everybody just gave her a look upon that. She rolled her eyes and turned back to what she had been reading until then.

“Alright now everybody.” Kate said. “Cases...” She held up some folders and handed them out. “Grand theft at a jewlery.” She handed Jinny and Magda one of the folders. “You guys go and check out the crime scene...” Then she handed another folder to CD and Nate. “We already have a suspect too. Juan Miller. He was an assistant there.”

“Juan Miller?” CD said and started to laugh.

“What about him?” Nate asked and looked at CD. “You know him?”

CD shook her head. “No... but...” She laughed even more. “Juan...” She took a deep breath but had to laugh more and more. “Miller!”

At that point everybody was staring at her while she was still cracking up about that name. After a while she regained her composure again though and Kate took a deep breath before she continued. “Anyhow this...” She didn’t want to repeat the name now, “... this man. The address he had listed was at his mother’s house.” Handing the file to Nate she shot CD a look. “Go and talk to her to see if he really lives there. And it would be good if a certain Inspector would manage to keep control over herself there!”

CD laughed again. “Don’t worry, Nate can just wait in the car!”

Both Kate and Nate growled at that while everybody else was laughing. “CD... just...” Kate started but then sighed and shook her head. “Just shut up for the rest of the day!” She couldn’t believe she was saying this to CD. She had thought she’d have to tell Raina sooner or later, but never CD.

CD rolled her eyes and walked out. “Gosh, why is everyone so damn stuck up today?” She muttered not realizing she was the only one who was acting different.

“How about we just go and question that woman, huh?” Nate said and tossed her her jacket.

She tossed it aside again. “Are you kidding me? I’m sweating already. Damn it’s hot today.” With that she walked out and not waiting for Nate went to their assigned car.

“HOT?” The others said in unision. It was 60° Fahrenheit.

Nate picked up her jacket and decided to take it along in case she’d be cold later. He tossed it on the backseat, upon which CD rolled her eyes and started the engine. Nate quickly got into the passenger’s seat and she raced off.

When they arrived at Mrs Miller’s hourse they introduced themselves and stated their case. Mrs Miller invited them inside and admitted that she hadn’t seen her son Juan in years. He had kept on stealing from her, so eventually she had thrown him out. Of course before telling them the story she had offered them coffee and some cookies. While Nate took a sip of his coffee every now and then CD emptied a whole bowl of chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. She didn’t even look up to listen to Mrs Miller or ask her any questions until the bowl was empty. Nate kept on glancing over at her but either she didn’t even notice or simply didn’t care. While Mrs Miller was explaining to Nate that maybe Juan’s cousin Antonio might know about her son’s whereabouts CD finally looked up. “Those are good.” She mumbled, her mouth still full with a half-eaten cookie.

Mrs Miller chuckled and smiled at her. “I’m glad you like them dear.” She took the empty bowl from her, went into the kitchen and filled it up again and put it on the table again. At the same time she handed CD a tupperware box filled with even more cookies. “I baked them them this morning, they’re still fresh.

“Whoa, great, thanks!” CD mumbled, already a cookie in her mouth again and another one in each of her hands.

“Well thank you for all of your help” Nate said and looked at CD, who was munching away again. “And in the name of the little cookie monster here, thanks for the box.”

Mrs Miller chuckled. “Enjoy them kids.” She led them outside again and decided to call her daughter and grandkids.

“Cookie monster?!?” CD exclaimed when they were alone again and on the way to their car.

“Well.... Nate said and pointed at the box that she was cradling.

“Idiot.” She muttered.and handed him the keys.

“What?” He asked shocked as he took them from her, “You mean I, Nate Basso, actually get to drive, and we don’t even have to fight over who’s gonna drive?” He chuckled.

“You, Nate Basso, are a jackass, and now get behind the damn wheel before I hitch a ride from some nasty trucker.” CD glared at him and sat down in the passenger seat.

Nate laughed and soon realized why he got to drive. As soon as he had started the engine CD opened her box and started to munch again. “How come you’re so starved out lately?” Nate asked. “You behave like you haven’t eaten in a month or so.” He chuckled.

“I was on a diet. Gained weight anyways, so oh well. Now shut up.” She growled and focused on her cookies again.

He chuckled and glanced over at her. He couldn’t believe that she said she had gained weight. She still looked as stunning as ever. Even more so probably And he certainly couldn’t understand why she’d go on a diet in the first place. She was just perfect.

With a sigh he pulled up at the station’s parking lot again. By the time the car stood still CD had already finished her box of cookies again.

“Ya know, you coulda at least have offered me one...” Nate chuckled again.

“No.” CD said. “You’re already too fat.No more food for you. I need a partner who’s in best shape.” With that she exited the car and strode into the building, leaving a perplexed Nate behind.

“Excuse me?” He muttered and looked down at himself “Too fat! Pah! I’m just fine.” He murmured and then followed her, deciding to cut down on the chocolate a little though.

As soon as CD had entered through the double doors of the felony division, she turned right around again and ran into the ladies’ room.

Jinny had just opened her mouth to say something when CD turned around again. “Ehhhh....” She blinked and decided to follow her to see if she was alright. “CD?” She asked upon entering the ladies’ room.

CD heard her but couldn’t answer because she was tossing her cookies. When she had overcome the first wave of nausea she turned to face Jinny though and glared at her. “Do you find some kind of perverted pleasure in watching other people vomit? Because if you do I’m gonna kick your ass to Louisiana. And if you don’t I suggest you better leave again!”

“Hey, whoa!” Jinny held her hands up in defense. “Easy there, I just wanted to ask if you’re okay...”

But CD cut her off and approached her threateningly, her eyes burning with anger. “I am obviously not okay or else I wouldn’t empty my stomach in here!” With each step she took towards Jinny, she took a step back until she walked back out into the hallway again like that, arms still raised.

Kate happened to pass by at that moment and had to laugh. “Exstead what are you playing here?”

“I ain’t playing anything! But CD, geez, that woman is a danger to society, I swear. Don’t go in there or you’ll regret it.” Jinny told Kate as she slowly put her hands down again.

Inside CD was hit with another wave of nausea and ran right back to the stalls, having to throw up again.

Back outside Nate walked up to Jinny and Kate. “Why? What’s up with her?”

“She’s puking her guts out and very hostile.” Jinny summed it up. “Wonder what’s wrong with her today.”

“Well no wonder she’s throwing up.” Nate just couldn’t help but chuckle. “She just devoured a ton of cookies within the last thirty minutes. Scary, really.”

Kate frowned at that. “Weird.”

Nate shrugged. “She apparently had been on a diet and now is shooting that to hell because it didn’t help. What do I know? And she called ME fat, can you believe that?”

Kate laughed. “Well...” She teased him.

Jinny patted his stomach. “Chubby, yeah. But fat... hmmm, yeah that too.” She laughed.

“Geeeeeeeez!” Nate growled. “You’re all just jealous of my perfect body!”

At that moment CD walked out of the ladies’ room again and smirked at him. “No my friend. You’re the jealous one here. Just admit that you’re jealous of all of our boobs.” Then she looked at Kate and Jinny. “Cause if men had boobs, all they’d do all day long would be fondle themselves.”

The two women laughed at that. “Yeah, but the way it is now, all they do all day long is playing pocket billiards.” They all looked at Nate upon that.

He right away pulled his hands out of his pockets even though he hadn’t done that. “Witches! All of you are just mean witches! No wonder they used to hunt you down!” With that he walked off and the three laughed for a moment until CD followed her partner.

“Hey, Nate!” She called out.

“What?” He hissed as he turned around.

“How about pizza for lunch? My treat.” She offered a smile.

He frowned. “CD, you just...” He motioned at the ladies’ room.

“And now my stomach is empty again and growling! I’m starving, come on!” She dragged him off with her.

“Women!” He muttered to himself but let her drag him along.

CD drove to the most expensive restaurant in the city and Nate frowned when she pulled up there. “CD. Are you serious? This place costs a fortune!”

“But the food is... uuuuh yeah!!!” She closed her eyes and grinned heavenly. Then she gave him a puppy look. “Come on, I’ll pay anyways. Pleaaaaaaaaaase?” She whined.

He sighed. “Alright, fine.”

Grinning happily they walked inside and only managed to get a table without reservation because CD shoved her badge into their faces.

The next thing that stunned him then was when they wanted to order. He had just wanted some spaghetti or something. So when the waitress approached he was ready to order, but CD was faster. “I’ll have the Lasagna Arrabiata, a side salad, no olives, pepperoni extra hot, and garlic bread to go with that.” Then she motioned over at Nate. “And for him the Canneloni Quatro Formaggi, no mozzarella on that though. But some Bolognese sauce on an extra plate. And a Cesar’s salad. Oh and a big chocolate milkshake for me.” Then she looked over at Nate. “What would you like to drink?”

“Ehhh...” Nate was still stunned but didn’t wanna cause a scene now, so he figured he’d let it slip this time. “Coke is fine, thanks.” He said.

It didn’t take long before they got their salads and the garlic bread. CD devoured hers first and while Nate just put a fork with some more of his own salad into his mouth CD quickly swapped their plates. “Too much salad is unhealthy for you.” With that she finished the rest of his as well, leaving him to wonder about her yet again. When they got the main dishes pretty much the same thing happened. CD had finished hers a helluva lot faster than Nate, though usually he was the one known to wolf his food down. And as he ordered a second coke for himself and the sixth milkshake, of which each had been another flavor, she swapped their plates again and when he wanted to continue to eat he looked down at an empty plate while CD was devouring the rest of his.

As soon as she was done with that she ordered about half of their dessert menu, needless to mention Nate got to try a bite of each at most. But he had to chuckle because obviously CD was enjoying herself. And he was glad about that. Especially because he was convinced that the last thing she needed was a stupid diet.

When she had finished the last of the desserts she excused herself to the bathroom. Nate didn’t think much of that because she usually went to the ladies’ room again when they were done with eating somewhere.

So while unbeknownst to him CD was feeling sick again he asked for the bill. And even though it shocked him at first that they had eaten food worth 3oo bucks he paid for it without complaining even though CD had said she’d pay. But he was too much of a gentleman for that.

A short while later CD returned again and wanted to pay now.

“Don’t worry about it, I already took care of that.” Nate said.

“But...” CD wanted to protest

Nate cut her off though. “No buts. Besides it wasn’t even that expensive, I thought it’d be worse.” He smiled at her.

She smiled back at him. “Okay fine, but tomorrow lunch is on me then.”

He knew he had to agree on that and nodded.

They went back to the station again and then found out that Jinny and Magda caught their suspect because he had went back to the crime scene to retreive his swiss army knife that he had lost there. They were currently questioning him and he was confessing everything.

So CD and Nate were ordered to finish up some paperwork. Together they managed to empty the whole vending machine while they diligently finished up their reports.

In the next morning Jinny hadn’t eaten anything for breakfast yet and decided to get a sandwich.

“Forget it. The whole thing is cleared out.” Kate said, walking up to her. She had to realize that earlier herself.

“Don’t tell me they actually decided to put FRESH stuff in there.” Jinny chuckled.

Kate shook her head. “I mean apparently they’ll have to fill it up again now. I already made Raina call them, but it’s empty because CD and Nate celebrated her not being on a diet anymore like two grizzleys celebrate to find campers in the forest.”

Jinny chuckled. “And CD being the angry grizzley, roaring at anything that approaches her. While Nate is the tame yet chocolate addicted one?”

Kate laughed. “Something like that. God, is this place really such a circus?”

Jinny nodded. “Even more so than you know, but don’t worry Cap, you’re a good at taming your wild animals.” She laughed and then motioned at CD who walked inside, eating icecream. “As long as you feed em that is.”

Kate frowned and gave Jinny a look. “Thank you... I think.”

“Anytime Cap.” She laughed and then walked up to Magda. “Hey, we have a new case.” The two inspectors walked out again while Jinny filled her in.

CD ate the rest of the icecream and tossed the cone into the trash before entering the bullpen. She started to go through her inbox and a moment later Nate walked in. “Hey morning.” He smiled at her.

“Hey, did ya have breakfast already?” CD asked him.

“Just a coffee and a muffin on the way here. But if ya wanna go, I can fit some more in here.” He grinned and rubbed his stomach.

“Great.” She smiled. “How about that restaurant where we found that baby last year?”

“Yeah, they have good food.” He laughed. “Just promise me not to surprise me with another baby.”

She laughed as well. “Promise.”

Together they left the Division again and went to that restaurant. Nate ordered french toast, eggs and bacon and CD a fruit salad and cerials. Nate groaned at that. “Please tell me that’s not a new diet.”

“No way! I just really really like this!” She smiled and devoured it and ordered another fruit salad.

Nate chuckled and dug in himself.

CD excused herself to the bathroom again and a while later they were back on their way to the Division again.

The following few weeks continued in that style. CD had noticed though that apparently something was wrong because she had to throw up evertime she ate as much as a saltine cracker. But she figured that’d pass again and hating hospitals and doctors she tried her best to keep that a secret from everybody else.

That worked most of the time, except for a few times. Once she had to throw up while Nate and her were on their way back to the Division from a crime scene and she had to stop because she got sick. Nate right away became worried though, but she told him that seeing the dead body had caused it and that every now and then she got queasy from corpses. He believed it because he could never got used to that sight himself.

And the other times were when somebody walked into the ladies room while she had to throw up. Once it was Raina, once Magda and once Jinny. She told each of them she had eaten something that apparently wasn’t sitting well with her, and neither of them had a problem believing that because eating was everything she and Nate seemed to be up to lately. They were used to it from Nate and figured he had simply corrupted her now.

But then one day they were having a cake there because it was Raina’s birthday and she had baked it. They of course all had a piece and as soon as CD had swallowed down the last bite she went to the bathroom. Raina had been in there and worriedly walked up to the others again. “Is anybody else feeling sick from my cake?” She asked looking sad.

“No.” They all shook their heads, assuring her that it was a delicious cake.

“Why?” Kate asked. “Are you feeling sick?”

“No.” Raina said. “But CD just went into the bathroom because she feels sick.”

“Nah, don’t worry about that.” Nate said. “She runs into the bathroom all the time, but not because she’s feeling sick.”

“Oh yeah? Then why is she throwing up now?” Raina asked.

“She’s throwing up again?” Jinny asked, now worried as well.

“What do you mean again?” Kate asked her.

“She already had to puke yesterday when she came back from lunch with Nate. I was in there and at first she looked like she was trying to supress it but then couldn’t.” She explained what she had seen.

“The same happened last Friday!” Magda said. “When I was in there.”

“Last Monday too.” Raina nodded.

“Wait, wait...” Nate said. “Are you saying she always runs into the bathroom to throw up? Right after she has eaten?”

“Seems like it.” Jinny sighed.

“But why?” Nate asked worried.

“Because none of her diets worked?” Magda shrugged.

Kate swallowed. “Oh god, and none of us realized... CD is suffering from Bulemia.”

“She... what? No way!” Nate couldn’t believe it. “That’s not like CD!”

At that moment CD walked in again. “What’s not like me?” She frowned.

Kate walked up to her. “That problem that you’re having... we realized what’s going on. You need help Candace.”

“Wait, problem? What problem? I don’t have a problem!” CD protested of course.

“She’s in denial.” Magda said.

“Come on! She said she doesn’t have a problem. I’m sure she can explain it.” Nate defended her.

“Explain what dammit?” CD was getting angry.

“Why you throw up all the time!” Raina said.

“ALL THE TIME?” CD yelled at her.

Raina nodded. “Because of your Bulemia.”

“My WHAT?!?!?!?!” Upon that she really got anygry. “Who the hell told you that bull****?”

Slightly scared Raina pointed at Kate.

“Why on earth did you tell her I have Bulemia?” CD snarled at her boss.

“CD, we’re all worried about you here, and Raina, Jinny and Magda caught you throwing up, and Nate said you indeed always go to the bathroom after you have eaten....” Kate started.

CD cut her off. “And did you ever consider that I might do that because I have to pee?” She rolled her eyes. Somehow she was certain that whatever she had definitely wasn’t Bulemia. Skinny models suffered from that. But not her. No matter what Kate, Raina or the others thought. Thankfully at least Nate seemed to be on her side.

“See?” He said. “I told ya she doesn’t do it because she’s sick.”

I know I neglected my/our... fanfics over the past days, sorry guys. Blame Miranda, she got me hooked on her magnificent Division sims lol ;)

“But that still doesn’t explain those times when you had to vomit.” Kate said. “Like about five minutes ago.” She sighed. “CD, I’m sorry but I have to send you to a doctor. But if you are okay like you say, that shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

“Right.” CD hissed but knew there was no way out of this now.

“Everybody else back to work!” Kate ordered and the commotion cleared again.

“Want me to come with you?” Nate asked her.

“No.” She growled, snatched her coat and left the office.

“You think she’ll be okay?” Nate sighed and looked at Kate.

“I’m certain.” Kate nodded. “And even if it is Bulemia, I know CD is an incredible strong woman, she will overcome it.”

“And what if it’s just the flu?” Nate snapped at her. “Geez!” He sat down at his desk again to wait for CD to come back again.

What CD hated most about the doctors office was waiting for her results. They had run some tests and sent her to the waiting area again. Of course that didn’t amuse her at all. And unlike some other women there who seemed to only go to the doctor to chat about the news in the various tabloids, she couldn’t care less about that.

Finally her name was announced again and she entered the office to face a broadly grinning physician. He motioned her to take a seat. “Mrs. DeLorenzo, I have wonderful news.”

“As long as you tell me that I’m not bulemic so I can go back to work again...” She muttered.

He shook his head. “You’re not bulemic at all. And I’ll prescribe you a herbal tea that will help with the nausea, but first of all...”

At that point CD cut him off. “No first of all. Prescribe me whatever you want. I’m fine and I’m going back to work again.”

He cleared his throat. “Would you please listen to me for five more minutes, I have something very important to tell you.”

“Oh yeah?” She glared at him. “And what?”

OMg MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE Noooooooooow! LOL That was very good, and I wanna know what's going on???

“That you’re pregnant.” He smiled at her. “Congratulations.”

CD stared at him blankly. “That’s not even possible! I had my tubes tied over ten years ago!”

“Well those things happen, more often than you’d think.” He shrugged. “You are definitely pregnant, and that caused the nausea.” He handed her a prescription. “It won’t make the morning sickness disappear completely, but it will help the nausea.”

“No no no!” CD exclaimed. “I can’t be... I’m not... I’m pregnant?!?” She still couldn’t believe it.

“I take it it wasn’t planned?” He chuckled.

“Gee, how observant you are.” CD glared at him.

He sighed. “Look, you have various options if you don’t want the baby... but however, you should get an appointment with your OBGYN.”

“**** a duck and try to fly!” CD yelled at him before she stormed out of there again, slamming the door shut behind her. She just couldn’t believe that.

She was so angry, angry at that damn doctor, angry at the doctor who apparently had screwed up when tying her tubes, angry at Nate for knocking her up, angry at herself for having been so stupid. Arriving at her car she took a deep breath and sat down behind the wheel. And suddenly she had to smile and put her hands on her belly. “Now what am I gonna do with you, huh?” She whispered.

Maybe this wasn’t all that bad after all. “But no matter what, one thing is certain, you and I we belong together now and there’s no way in hell that I’d get rid of you or anything. So don’t worry about that.” Then she sighed. “But how are we gonna tell your daddy huh? What is he gonna say?”

She sighed again and started the car and drove back to work. How the hell would she tell Nate that their one night stand now had a consequence. A little tiny consequence that was growing inside of her.

When she arrived at the station again she decided she had to test the waters somehow before she could tell him. But when she got inside again Kate right away waved her into her office. She closed the door behind her and sat down.

“How’d it go?” Kate asked, looking at CD worriedly.

CD shrugged. “Okay I guess. And I am NOT bulemic.” She gave Kate a small glare.

Kate nodded, relieved about that. “Then what is it?”

“Normal nausea. No reason to worry.” CD said. “It happens.”

“Yeah I guess you’re right.” Kate nodded. But she couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something more behind that. And CD looked somewhat worried but yet happy. Something was going on, she just couldn’t point her finger on it yet. “So everything’s alright?” She looked at CD again. “You know that you can always tell me, no matter what, I’d be here for you. Right?”

“Right.” CD nodded. “But I’m fine, really. Thanks though, I appreciate it.”

Kate smiled at her. “Alright then. So get back to work.”

CD nodded and walked out again. “Alright, listen up everybody!” She called out. “I am neither bulemic nor sick in any other way. Got that?” She glared especially at Raina.

They all nodded and were glad CD was okay and quickly went back to work again. Then CD walked up to Nate. “Wanna go for a coffee?”

“Uhm, I actually...” He held up a cup he had just gotten from the vendor downstairs.

She took that from him and tossed it into the trash. “You do wanna go for a coffee.”

He bedazzled looked after his coffee and then at her again. “I, uhm... okay...” So they left together and went into the Anchorside and sat down at a booth where they’d have some privacy. “So what brings on my desire for coffee?” He asked jokingly.

She shrugged. “I thought we’d chat a little.” The waitress approached them and she ordered some orange juice while Nate ordered a coffee.

He raised his eyebrow at her. “I thought you wanted to go for coffee?”

Shaking he head she answered, “No no, YOU wanted to go for coffee. I wanted orange juice.” She smiled at him.

He smiled back at her and laughed. “Okay, fine, so we’re here to chat about what?”

She shrugged. “I dunno, stuff... how’s your sister?”

“Irene is fine.” He smiled. “She’s still all in love with Robert. But they don’t talk about marriage or anything. They’re pretty much just friends.”

CD smiled back. “That’s great.” She thought how she could start talking about the topic without having him notice what was going on.

As if on cue now Magda walked in, holding her son’s hand. He was crying his eyes out and Magda was obviously upset. “Benjamin! Dammit, would you stop crying? I don’t have the time for this!” She just had to pick him up at his school because he had gotten into a fight. And now he had the nerve to bawl because he had a scraped knee and a split lip. As if it wasn’t bad enough that he had gotten into a fight in the first place, she now was late for a date because she had to go pick him up. And she couldn’t find Jinny anywhere. But thankfully she saw CD and Nate and dragged Ben along with her to them. “Guys, you’re my last straw. Can you watch Ben for a couple of hours? I have a doctor’s appointment.”

Both CD and Nate gave her a look, knowing exactly what kind of appointment that was.

At that Ben stopped crying and looked at Magda with big eyes. “Are you sick mommy?”

“No I’m not. Now be quiet.” Magda said.

“Am I sick again?” He now asked scared.

“No Benjamin.” She took a deep breath. “We’re all healthy.”

“Then why do you go to the doctor?” He kept on asking.

Magda growled. “It’s just a check up, now will you let me talk to CD and Nate for a moment?”

“Didn’t you go to a check up already last week?” Ben frowned.

“That was a different kind of check up, BENJAMIN! DAMMIT SHUT UP!” She glared at him.

He sadly looked down at that and sniffed because his knee still hurt.

Magda checked her watch and looked back at CD and Nate again, who couldn’t help but smirk at each other over the little scene, though they felt bad for Ben. It was obvious that he was the one who was getting screwed over in this whole thing. “Look I gotta go.” Magda said. “Gabe should pick him up later. If not my mom should come by. Thanks and see ya.” With that she quickly kissed Ben, who flinched at that because she had pressed her hand against his lip, but before he could complain Magda was gone already.

Nate slightly blinked. “Did I miss the part where we actually agreed?”

Durn Magda!...letting your affair come before your son!....:D

Ben sighed and guiltily looked down. “Sorry.”

“That’s not your fault, don’t worry about it.” CD assured him.

He sniffed again and wiped his nose at his sleeve.

“We don’t mind watching you.” Nate nodded. “Don’t worry, we’re gonna have some fun together.”

“Okay.” He smiled a little again.

“Yeah, but first I’m gonna take care of your lip.” CD said.

“And my knee.” He pointed at his torn pants and scraped knee.

“Yep, that too.” She smiled at him and he grinned back. Finally somebody showed interest in taking care of him. His mom had just dragged him out of school and kept on trying to find somebody where she could drop him off again. But he was used to being dropped off all the time, so that didn’t matter.

Nate quickly paid and then picked up Ben and carried him into the Division. He sat him down on CD’s desk where she started to take care of him right away.

Kate walked out of her office and frowned. “What’s going on again now?”

CD shrugged. “His mom dropped him off. Hey can I take some time off, he needs new pants.” She pointed at his knee.

“Me too.” Nate said. “Mag asked both of us to watch him for a while.”

“And where is Magda?” Kate asked and smiled at Ben.

“She went to see her doctor.” Ben answered. “But don’t worry, she isn’t sick, she just likes check ups. So she won’t get sick.”

“I see.” Kate said and motioned CD over and they walked to the coffee machines and Kate helped herself to a cup of the brew. “Does that mean what I think it means?”

CD nodded. “I guess so. She said Gabe or her mom would pick Ben up in a while, but look at him.... he needs to get cleaned up and some new clothes.”

Kate smiled at her. “Do I spot something like motherly instinct there Candace?”

CD just gave her a look. “Do you expect me to breastfeed him now or what?”

Kate laughed. “I think he’s too old for that already... or a couple of decades away from being old enough to enjoy it.”

CD growled. “Very funny. So can we go for a while?”

Kate nodded. “Go ahead, but if I need you again I’ll call you back in.”

“Of course.” CD nodded and went back to Nate and Ben while Kate poured some whitener into her coffee.

First CD took Ben to the bathroom and got him cleaned up again. Then the three of them left and went into a kid’s clothing store. When they passed all the baby stuff CD had to smile and saw a couple of things that she wanted to buy right away. But she knew she couldn’t with Nate and Ben there now. So she just made a mental note to come back later. ‘Motherly instincts’ She thought to herself and chuckled. But Kate had been right. That was exactly what it was. She was going to be a mom. “Wow.” She muttered as that really sunk in.

“Wow what?” Nate asked.

“Just uhhh...” She pointed at some of the baby clothes. “Those are so tiny.”

“Yeah.” Nate nodded.

Ben growled. “And way too tiny for me! I don’t even see why we have to be here in the first place!”

CD took his hand and led him to a mirror and pointed at him there. “Okay, you decide. How do you rather wanna look like? Like that?” Then she grabbed a pair of jeans that looked like his size and held it in front of him. “Or like this?”

“Ohhhh!” He grinned and grabbed the jeans from her. “Those are so cool! They even have baggy pockets and all! ALL my friends have those, but mom always buys me the boring stuff!”

CD chuckled. “You’ll need a new shirt too.”

“Do they have something with a chinese dragon on it?” He asked grinning.

Nate started to look around and then held out a shirt. “Something like this?”

“YEAH!” He exclaimed happily.

Nate handed it to him and smiled. “Try those on, we wait here.”

At that moment a shop assistant approached them. “You have a really nice son.” She smiled.

“Oh!” CD said and blushed. “He’s not our son.”

“Yeah.” Nate nodded. “She and I, we’re not even... we just work together.”

“Oh I see.” She kept on smiling. “Can I help you somehow?”

At that moment Ben walked out again, both shirt and jeans a size too big but he was grinning happily. “Those are perfect!”

“Don’t you think you should try a smaller size?” The woman asked him.

But Ben glared at her because she had dared to suggest that. “Those are perfect!”

“They’re too big.” She argued.

“They’re just fine!” Ben shot back. “They have to be big! That’s cool!” He rolled his eyes because she didn’t know that.

“Well you heard him.” CD chuckled. She figured he’d completely grow into them soon anyways.

“We’d like to pay for those then.” Nate said.

“Fine.” She nodded.

Ben went back to get dressed into his old clothes again so they could leave again soon and he could wear the new and cool stuff.

Meanwhile CD and Nate followed the woman to the cashier and both got their wallets out. “I’ll pay!” They both announced at the same time too and then chuckled.

“Okay, how about I pay for the pants and you the shirt?” CD asked.

“Sounds fair to me.” Nate agreed and when they were done Ben walked up to them again too.

“Can we go now?” He whined.

“Yep.” CD said and picked him up and sat him down on her shoulders.

“Whoa this is high!” Ben grinned as they made their way back to the car. “Mom never carries me on her shoulders. But she isn’t that tall anyways, so that would be boring.” Suddenly he saw a big yellow M and pointed at it. “CAN WE? CAN WE? I’m starving!”

“Yeah me too!” Nate agreed and gave CD a puppy look. “Can we?”

“Oh yeah!” CD nodded. Some burgers sounded perfect to her right now as well.

They went in there and of course Ben wanted a kid’s menu while CD and Nate ordered pretty much everything else they had to offer. They got a couple of trays filled to the brink and sat down at a table.

Ben chuckled as he started eating and watched how CD and Nate right away started to devour their various burgers as well. “You two are cool!” He said between some fries. “You can watch me all the time!”

“Somehow I doubt your mom would like that.” Nate chuckled.

“I don’t care.” Ben pouted and started to play with his new toy while they finished their food.

When they were done they went back to the car and drove back to the Division again. While CD was driving Ben couldn’t wait any longer and got dressed into his new clothes on the backseat.

Nate chuckled when he saw that. “You really like that stuff huh?”

“Uh huh.” Ben nodded. “They’re cool!”

CD chuckled as well. “Just hope your mom’s gonna like em too.”

“She’d never buy me stuff like this.” He sighed. “When is dad coming to pick me up? He’s gonna like em!”

“I don’t know.” CD shrugged. “Your mom didn’t say when.”

“Maybe he’s waiting already.” Nate said as they pulled up at the parking lot.

“Cool.” Ben grinned and ran inside, with CD and Nate following.

Raina frowned when she saw Ben but not Mag. “Hey where’s Magda?” She asked CD. “Cause Gabe called. He got a gig in New Orleans and had to leave right away. He’ll be back in a few days.”

As Ben heard that his face dropped again right away.

“I’m sorry Tiger.” Nate said and picked him up. “But I’m sure he’s gonna bring you a really cool present from New Orleans.”

“Yeah!” He grinned and his eyes lit up again. “He always brings me cool stuff!”

“See?” Nate winked at him. “Don’t worry, your grandma’s gonna pick you up soon.”

Then CD’s phone started to ring and she picked up. “DeLo... yeah Mag... no, Gabe got a gig in... what? Mag you can’t just.... MAG! No!” She sighed. “Okay fine, what’s her number?” She scribbled something on a piece of paper. “Okay Mag, I got it. Yeah I’ll call.... hey!” She had hung up on her. “That was kinda rude!” CD muttered.

“What?” Nate looked at her.

“Well... something came up for Mag, she won’t come home tonight she said. And she gave me her mom’s number to tell her to pick Ben up. And then she hung up on me.” CD explained.

“Something came up?” He frowned.

CD nodded. “Something with a stethoscope and tickets for a concert tonight.”

“I see.” He nodded and sighed. He couldn’t believe what Mag was doing to her family.

CD sighed too and picked up the phone to dial the number Mag had given her. But she just got the answering machine. “What?” She called out. “Come on! You gotta be kidding me!”

“What now?” Nate asked as she slammed the phone down again.

“Her mom went to visit Lily in LA, she isn’t there either.” CD answered.

Ben realized what was going on and softly started to cry. No one wanted him. He jumped down again and ran outside.

“Damn.” CD and Nate right away ran after him and caught up with him. “Ben, hey, wait.” CD said softly.

“No one wants me.” He sniffed. “They all hate me because I was so sick.”

“Oh sweetie, that’s not true.” CD hugged him. “This is just a really really stupid coincidence that all of them are gone tonight. But that doesn’t mean that they don’t love you. They didn’t know that they’d all be gone tonight.”

“Really?” He looked at them with big eyes.

“Really.” Nate nodded. “I’m sure as soon as they’ll find out about this they’re all gonna be very sorry and really mad at themselves.”

“Mom’s just gonna be mad at the others. She’s always mad at dad and me. Or Aunt Lily, or Jinny. She’s always mad at somebody. Usually she’s mad at me.” He said.

“I’m sure she’s really just mad at herself.” Nate said. “You know when you did something really really stupid? And it makes you feel so bad that you rather blame somebody else than yourself?”

Ben nodded. “Yeah. Like when I broke mom’s watch. My friend Jason had been over and I said I had showed it to him and he had dropped it accidently.” He sighed. “Since then I can’t play with Jason anymore.”

Nate nodded. “See, and that’s kind of how your mom feels.”

“I see.” He frowned. “I think...”

CD smiled at him. “So don’t worry about it, tomorrow you’re gonna see your mom again and tonight you can just stay with me, okay?”

“Is Nate gonna stay too?” He grinned.

“Uhhh...” CD blushed.

“Ahhhh.” Nate blushed just the same.

“Come on!’ Ben whined. “That’ll be fun!!!!” He looked at them with big brown puppy eyes and pouted. “Pleaaaaaaaaaaase?”

“Okay fine.” Both said at the same time and looking at each other smiled.

“YESSSSSSSSS!” Ben grinned happily.

“I’ll go talk to Kate and see if we can have the rest of the day off.” CD said.

Nate nodded. “Hey come on, I’ll show ya a trick at the vending machine.”

“Cooool!” Ben grinned. He knew that thing hardly ever worked.

CD chuckled and then went into Kate’s office after she had knocked.

”Hey.” Kate looked up at her. “Back again?”

“Uh huh.” CD nodded and sat down. “With bad news... well kinda...”

“What’s that?” Kate frowned and put her glasses aside.

CD sighed. “Well Gabe called and left Mag a message that he got a gig in New Orleans and will be gone for a while. Then Mag called me and wanted to know if Gabe had picked Ben up already and if not told me to tell Gabe she’d have to work late, Then I told her about Gabe, and bla bla bla, anyhow, Neither Gabe, nor Mag, and not even her mom are in town tonight. So Ben already thought they all hate him now.”

Kate sighed too. “That poor kid.”

“Yeah I know.” CD said. “See, that’s what really pisses me off, Magda and her oh so holy ‘I’m such a wonderful mom’ image. But look at her, I mean really? Right now she’s nothing more than a whore who neglects her son!”

Kate slightly nodded. CD was so right with that. “Easy there CD, no one is perfect.” She said though.

“Yeah but...” CD started.

Kate cut her off. “I know, I know. What Magda is doing at the moment is beyond wrong. I need to have a talk with her about the whole skipping work thing. But what she does in her private time is none of our buisness.”

“Yeah, as long as we are co-workers, but we’re also friends. Imagine one of us would do the littlest thing. Who’d be the first one on our case for that huh?” CD argued. “Miss Magda the perfect.”
She growled. “She has a son dammit! She can’t push him around like some... some ugly present that no one wants and that everyone just keeps on giving away again!”

Kate chuckled. “Good point.” She smiled. She was sure one day CD would be a great mom. “But apart from ranting about Magda, why are you here?”

“Oh yeah, right.” She remembered again. “Well I told Ben he could stay with me tonight... and he begged for Nate to stay for a sleepover as well... I dunno, we could take him camping or something maybe...” CD smiled at her sudden idea.

“I bet he’d love that.” Kate smiled. “So now you’re wondering if you two could have the rest of the day off?”

“Yeah.” CD nodded.

“No problem.” Kate smiled at her. “You and Nate, huh?”

“Yeah.” CD said. “As partners and friends geez! We’d never risk our partnership!”

“I know that.” Kate nodded. ‘Unfortunately’ She thought. The two of them would make an amazing couple. But they also were the best team she ever had. And she’d hate having to split them up.

CD slightly growled. “Anyhow. We’re off then.”

“Alright.” Kate nodded her okay and dismissed CD with a wavy motion of her hand.

mmmmmmmmm rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ROTFNWN.... rolling on the floor naked with Nate... hehe *smirk* :D our well oiled bodies melting into one.... :lol: but this fanfic isn't about me and Nate ;) Seriously, I can't wait to post the part that I just wrote LOL. But before I get to that.... here's some more.

CD walked up to Nate and Ben again. “We’re all set.”

“YAY!!!!” Ben exclaimed and then looked at Nate who was still pounding against the vending machine. “I think your trick doesn’t work.”

Nate growled. “Damn thing.”

“What trick?” CD smiled and punched against it and it started to move. “This one?”

Ben laughed. “How’d ya do that?”

CD grinned and winked at him. “Magic.”

Nate chuckled. “Yeah, be careful or she puts a spell on you.” He smiled. ‘Like she did with me’ he thought to himself and sighed. Then he handed Ben the chocolate bar from the vending machine.

“Wow, this one hasn’t even expired yet!” Ben exclaimed as he checked the date. Not that he really cared. Chocolate was chocolate. But whenever his mom had allowed him to grab something from that machine it had expired already. Of course he never told Magda that though.

Nate laughed. “Yeah, they refilled it earlier.”

“Cool!” Ben grinned and started to munch.

“Hey, how about you go ahead and catch the elevator for us?” CD asked.

Ben grinned and ran off.

“How about we take him camping?” CD asked Nate when they were alone.

“Sounds like fun.” Nate nodded. “And where to?”

“Uhhh... good question.” CD said and thought about it. “How about Mount Diablo?” That was pretty much the only camping facility in the Bay Area she could think of. Though she was sure there would have to be many more.

“Sure, sounds good to me.” He smiled. “Do you have any camping stuff? Tents and such?”

“Uhhhh no.” CD said and they both laughed. “Plus we’ll need more of Ben’s stuff too. But I guess Jin has a key to Mag’s house.”

Nate nodded. “Probably. So how are we gonna do this now? Look for Jin, get the key and pack Ben’s stuff, then stop by our places, cuz we’re gonna need stuff as well, and then buy a tent and all?”

“Sounds like a plan.” CD agreed.

They walked into the bullpen again. “Hey Raina, you know where Jin is?” CD asked.

“Uhhh I think she wanted to go have lunch or something...” Raina said.

CD growled because apparently Raina knew more than she was saying. “Spill it Raina.”

“Okay.” Raina grinned. “I overheard her on the phone earlier... I THINK it was a guy, she was all smiling and...”

CD cut her off again. “Where Raina, that’s all we need to know.”

Raina made a face because CD wasn’t interesting in her gossip. “Anchorside.” She mumbled.

“Thank you.” Nate said and they went over to where Ben was waiting.

“Finally!” Ben exclaimed. “This is the THIRD one already!” He pointed at the elevator that just arrived.

“We had an idea that we needed to discuss.” CD said.

“What idea?” Ben wanted to know. He was curious right away of course.

“Do you like camping Ben?” Nate asked him.

Ben grinned. “Well mom never took me... Dad promised but he didn’t have the time yet...”

“Hmmm, see, we wondered if you’d wanna go camping with us tonight.” Nate said.

“Hell yeah!” He exclaimed and hugged Nate.

CD smiled. Nate was great with Ben. She was sure he was going to be a great daddy himself. The elevator arrived at the lobby and they walked out. “We’ll need a key to your house though so we can pack some of your stuff. So we’ll ask Jinny if she has a key.” CD explained to him. “Then when we have your stuff we’ll need some stuff ourself. And then we’ll need camping stuff.”

Ben nodded. “Way cool!” He was thrilled about this and suddenly his earlier tears were forgotten again.

When they walked into the Anchorside they had to smile immediately because Jin was sitting there with Teddy and they pretty much were just picking at their food and smiling at each other.

“Aunt Jin!” Ben exclaimed and ran up to her.

“Hey champ.” She picked him up and sat him down in her lap. “Hey you two know each other already?” She looked over at Teddy. “Ben is Mag’s son. And Teddy here.” She now smiled at Ben. “Well he’s a really close friend.”

“Like your boyfriend?” Ben asked.

Jin slightly blushed. “Something like that, yeah.”

Teddy blushed himself but smiled at Ben. “Nice to meet ya.”

“Hey where’s your mom?” Jinny now asked him.

Ben shrugged and pointed at CD and Nate who had walked up to the table as well by now. “She’s way too scared to get sick. She keeps on running to doctors.” Ben said. “They’re watching me tonight cuz grandma is visiting aunt Lily and dad is in New Orleans. And mom didn’t know any of that when she left.”

Jinny looked up at CD and Nate. “Hey.”

“Hey.” They both said. “Yeah well, we decided to take him camping.” CD said. “Anyhow, I’m really sorry that we’re interrupting you guys here...”

“We were just eating...” Jinny waved it off.

“Can we talk a moment?” CD asked.

Jinny nodded and got up. Nate sat down on the seat she had vacated and started nagging Teddy and ate the french fries from Jin’s plate while Ben climbed into his lap and did the same.

“So what’s going on?” Jinny asked CD. They had walked over to the bar.

“Mag’s with Jonah. She pretty much just dumped Ben with me and Nate earlier, asking to watch him for a moment and then hurried off. Later I got a call from her, after Gabe had left a message with Raina about his new gig, so I called her mom then, and she wasn’t home either...” CD started to explain.

“So you’re stuck with Ben.” Jinny nodded. “I see. I’m sorry. If you want to I can take him home...”

“No, don’t worry about it. He’s a great kid. Besides Nate and I already promised to take him camping. We’d just need the key to Mag’s house so we can get some of his stuff.” CD said and smiled at Jin. “Besides seems like you have something better to do tonight, huh?”

Jinny grinned. “Yeah well, maybe..”

CD smiled back at her. “That’s great.”

“Yeah it is.” She smiled and then handed CD the key. “There ya go.” She winked at CD. “So you and Nate eh?”

“Well Ben wanted him to come too and all. Nothing’s going on.” CD rolled her eyes. Why did everybody keep on assuming she and Nate were more than partners? Of course the fact that she was having his baby probably would be a pretty good answer to that one.

That was great, but really not enough. You really need to write more.

“Not as much as you I bet.” CD grinned. “And if I were you I’d go over there again before my partner finishes off your food.” She chuckled.

Jin turned around again and rushed back up to them. “Hey!” She glared at Nate. “Order your own if you’re hungry.”

“Sorry.” Nate chuckled and stuffed another fry into his mouth before he and Ben went over to CD to leave Teddy and Jinny to themselves again.

They drove to Mag’s and helped Ben pack some things and then drove to CD’s. “Hey how about I go home and pick you up here again? That way we’ll be done faster.” Nate suggested.

“Sure. Sounds good with me.” CD agreed and looked at Ben. “You wanna stay with me or go with Nate?”

“Can I just stay here and watch TV?” He asked.

“Yeah sure.” CD said.

“Alright then.” Nate smiled at CD. “I’ll see ya later.”

CD smiled back at him. “Yeah see ya.”

Nate suddenly was tempted to lean in and kiss her but had to fight the urge and left.

Ben settled in front of the TV and started to flip through the channels until he found something that he liked.

“You want something to drink or so?” CD asked him.

“Uhhh, you got some chocolate milk maybe?” He grinned at her.

“Well I have milk and Hershey’s syrup. That should do the trick.” She chuckled and went to the kitchen to fix one. Actually two though because she suddenly wanted one herself. In the kitchen she found some pizza leftovers and started to munch that and handed a glass to Ben.

He smiled and motioned to the pizza. “Can I bite?”

“There’s more in the fridge.” CD smiled. “Help yourself.”

He climbed over the sofa and ran into the kitchen right away.

CD chuckled and went into her bedroom and started to pack some of her stuff for the camping trip.

A while later the doorbell rang and CD opened it to find Nate standing there. “Ready?”

“Yep, pretty much.” CD said but suddenly started to feel really sick again. “I’ll be right with ya.” She said and as quickly without looking suspicious made her way to the bathroom.

Nate walked up to Ben and sat down next to him. “Whatcha watching?”

“Cartoons.” Ben grinned and slurped the rest of his chocolate milk. “CD makes the best chocolate milk ever!” He exclaimed. “More chocolate than anything!”

“Oh really?” Nate smiled. “CeeeeeeeeDeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!” He called out.

CD heard him but still had to throw up. She rinsed her mouth and brushed her teeth afterwards. “Maybe I should try that herbal tea.” She muttered to herself and then walked out to Nate and Ben. “What’s up here?”

Ben grinned and held his glass out to her. “More?” He asked with the cutest puppy eyed look. He had drunk three glasses already but he couldn’t get enough.

“Me too!” Nate smiled at her.

“Okay one more glass and then we can go, alright?” CD smiled and fixed them all another glass.

Upon taking a sip Nate just mumbled “Wow.” He looked at Ben. “You’re right. She really makes the best chocolate milk ever.”

CD laughed. “Thanks... I think.”

They soon finished their drinks, quickly cleaned up again and went to the next Walmart to buy whatever else they needed. Camping equipment, a couple of toys for Ben since he convinced them that he just couldn’t live without them and of course they made a stop at the food section too.

As soon as they had paid CD grabbed the pizza Pringles box and the spray cheese and started to stuff her face with a combination of both, fighting the urge to add peanut butter and jelly to that as well.

Between her, Nate and Ben they had emptied the box by the time they made it to the car. “Where are we going to?” Ben asked as he climbed into the backseat. “Mount Diablo.” CD answered and looked at Nate. “You drive.”

Nate frowned. “I get to drive? Again? Something’s wrong with you.” He chuckled.

“Oh shut up.” She growled and rummaged through the grocery bag as she sat down and opened a cookie package and passed a couple of em over to Ben and ate the rest herself. Still munching she said. “We probably should stop for dinner somewhere.”

Nate slightly frowned. “Isn’t that why we...” He pointed at the grocery bag.

“No, that’s snacks.” She chuckled. “Ooooh Taco Bell!” She exclaimed and grinned. “How’s that?”

“Yeah!” Ben exclaimed. Fast food twice a day, candy as snacks in between. He was sure he now knew what heaven was like.

Nate stopped at the drive through and just ordered one of each of the menues they had. CD climbed into the backseat, next to Ben and they tore the paper bag open and both grabbed what they could get and started to devour it. “HEY!” Nate said when he saw them in the rearview mirror. “Don’t smear the seats! And leave me some as well.”

CD chuckled. “Oh I’m sorry. Of course you get something as well.” She took one of the fries, bit half of it off and then held out the other half to him. “Here. That’s what you get.”

Hmmmm It worked the last time I said it...More Please.....Hmmm...maybe this will eve work...With Nate On top???:D

Ben laughed hysterically at that and then grabbed the other half and stuffed it into his own mouth.

“Ha ha, very funny.” He rolled his eyes.

CD chuckled and started feeding him with frys now. “Concentrate on the street mister.” She said and then looked over at Ben. He had stopped eating and just had his mouth wide open and looked at her.

CD laughed and started feeding him as well now. She somehow managed to split the food between her, Ben and Nate, so that they all were satisfied in the end. When they were done eating she yawned, suddenly tired.

She closed her eyes and opened them again when she felt Ben snuggle close to her. They smiled at each other and then both closed their eyes again, taking a nap while Nate drove to their destination.

Once he got there he almost didn’t want to wake them because they looked so cute. But he knew he had to. So he turned around and reached out for them, to slightly shake them. “Hey sleepyhead and sleeping beauty. Time to wake up again, we’re here!”

They opened their eyes and while Ben was wide awake right away and jumped out of the car, CD needed a moment to recover, but then darted out of the car as well and ran into the woods.

“What the hell?” Nate muttered.

Ben grinned. “Hide and seek!” He called out, thinking CD just started the game. “You gotta seek! Loser!” He dashed into the woods himself.

“I’ll show ya loser!” Nate called out and went after Ben first, not wanting to lose him in the woods somewhere.

That bought CD enough time to do what she actually had run into the woods for because she was hit by the damn nausea again. She slowly walked back to the car when she heard Nate call out behind her.

“GOTCHA!” He ran up to her, carrying Ben, who he had found just a moment ago. “You okay? You look pale.” He said worried.

“I’m fine.” She growled. “Must be the light here... So where do we put up the tent?”

“There’s a nice clearing right over there.” Nate pointed to the direction where he and Ben had come from.

“Alright then.” They walked back to the car and carried all the stuff over to the clearing.

“Okay. Now the tent.” Nate said and started to unpack it and frowned at all the stuff.

“I’ll read the description!” Ben said, grabbed it and started to read it out.

“Whoa slow down.” CD said, because she and Nate were still trying to figure out the first part he had read out.

About an hour later they got the tent up and ready just in time as it was starting to get dark.

So they went to collect some wood and started a campfire. Of course they roasted marshmellows over it as little snack while they told each other horror stories.

Ben was slightly creeped out but didn’t show it. He wasn’t scared though and felt safe with CD and Nate around them.

“How come you don’t have kids?” He suddenly asked.

LOL Kids they have just that lil way of getting to the truth. LOL good question :) Okay Now, how am I going to top Nate on top??? It's worth a try....please Nate on top nakied with sugar in the middle??? Whip cream??? LOL MORE PLEASE!!!!

Nate shrugged. “It just didn’t happen yet.” He then smiled. “Maybe one day.. who knows.”

CD smiled as well and looked at Nate. “You want kids?”

Nate suddenly remembered about CD’s tied tubes and that she could never have kids. He sighed and shrugged. “I don’t know... ask me again in ten years or so.” He chuckled and hoped that was the right answer.

“Yeah I see.” She nodded.

Ben yawned and tried his hardest to stay awake.

CD noticed that and knew he’d never go to bed himself. “Hey, time to go sleep huh?” She looked at him.

He yawned and shook his head. “I’m not tired.”

Nate chuckled. “Oh yeah? I think you are.” He checked his watch. “Besides it’s almost midnight already. So it’s WAY past your bedtime already.”

“I guess.” He growled, not wanting to go just yet, but as well too tired to fight it anymore.

“Nate and I will come too, we just have to put out the fire first.” CD said.

“Okay.” He finally complied and crawled into the tent.

CD smiled over at Nate and they started to put out the fire. “You’re great with kids though.” She said, bringing up the topic again. “I mean look at Ben, he adores you.”

Nate smiled back at her. “He adores you as well though.” He argued and then shrugged. “I guess it’s fun as long as they’re other people’s kids, ya know? And I know I can send em home again eventually. Having one myself? 24/7?” He shooked his head. “Not happening. Besides I’d need a woman for that... and well, you know I’m single.” He sighed and looked at her for a moment thinking ‘Besides, the only woman I ever loved doesn’t want me. Let alone kids.’ He shrugged. “But you’re Miss tubes tied... you should know best what I mean.”

She shrugged. “Yeah I guess. I’m tired.” With that she crawled into the tent as well, leaving Nate to finish putting out the fire alone.

‘What?’ Nate wondered. ‘It’s okay for her not to want kids, but not for me? Geez!’ And he had just said all of that because he’d just want kids with her. But he wanted her anyways, no matter if they’d ever have kids or not. And he knew that if he ever wanted the slightest chance with her again he’d have to be perfect for her. “Who are you kidding Basso?” He muttered to himself with a sigh. It was time to realize that the one thing that he wanted more than anything in the world was never going to happen. He peed on the fire to get it out quickly and then climbed into the tent as well. Ben and CD had fallen asleep already and he laid down on Ben’s other side.

CD though, had just pretended to be sleeping. She turned around so she wasn’t facing Ben anymore and put her hand on her belly as silent tears started to stream down her face. ‘How could I have been so damn stupid?’ She asked herself. For a moment she had lived in a dream. Had seen her, Nate and they baby become a family. But now she knew that would never happen. He would probably run as soon as he found out. She swallowed and wiped her tears away. She knew she needed a plan now because she wanted to keep her baby. Contemplating what she could do she eventually fell asleep.

Awww That was sooo awsome! I will be nice this time. LOL well only cause I can't think of anything else..At this time.

My .02 I think she needs to break down and talk to Cap or Jinny about it (if she isn't going to be straight out and tell Nate). Plus, that way you get some good girl/girl moments.
But, what do I know, I 'm just a reader. Which is what I'd be doing now if you would write some more.

In the morning she was the first one to wake up again because the morning sickness once again bothered her. As quietly as possible she left the tent When she was done with the most annoying part of her morningly routine lately she strolled back to the tent again. Still considering her options. She smiled and looked down at her tummy. Even though she wasn’t showing yet she knew that’d start eventually and she wouldn’t be able to hide it forever. ‘Maybe I’ll just tell him it’s some other guy’s...’ she thought but right away disregarded that thought again. She knew he wasn’t that dumb. He’d just have to count back to realize it was his. Besides it would be just wrong. She didn’t want to lie to him. But yet she knew she had to. She sighed heavily and arrived at the tent again. Nate and Ben were still sleeping and she slightly nudged Ben. “Wake up Ben.” She whispered.

“Don’t wanna.” He muttered.

“But you have to.” She stroked through his hair and gave him five more minutes.

He eventually climbed out of the tent and yawned. “Nate’s still sleeping!”

“Oh I gotta change that.” She chuckled and leaned into the tent and whistled with her thumb and forefinger in her mouth.

That was really loud and Nate right away woke up from it and blinked at her bewildered.

“RISE AND SHINE!” She called out while Ben giggled behind her.

“Ehhhh.” He growled and turned around again.

CD chuckled and completely climbed into the tent and climbed on top of him and started tickling him.

“HEY! WOMAN GET OFF ME!” He yelled. not ready yet to wake up.

Ben laughed and jumped up on him too and helped CD to tickle him awake.

Nate growled again and pushed CD off him and then grabbed Ben and tickled him in return now. “Oh wait you!”

Ben giggled and squirmed around for a while. “Hey stop, Nate, please, I gotta pee!” He exclaimed.

Since Nate didn’t want him to wet his pants he stopped. “Just go behind a tree. But don’t go away too far.”

Ben nodded and raced out of the tent.

“And now to you!” Nate said and grabbed CD and tickled her now.

CD yelped in surprise and tried to squirm away, giggling too. “Stop Nate!”

But he showed no mercy and smirked. “Are you surrendering?”

“Never!” She said and laughed and pushed him off her again and now she was the one to tickle him again. They rolled from one side of the tent to the other one like that, taking turns at tickling each other but eventually stopped the tickling. Nate was on top of her and smiled at her as he stroked a strand of hair out of her face and behind her ear.

She smiled back at him and looked deep into his eyes as she gently cupped his cheek and slightly stroked her thumb over his lips.

He continued to caress her face and leaned closer to her, looking back deep into her eyes. Their lips were almost touching and they closed their eyes when they could feel a jolt of electricity go through their lips and then make their whole bodies shiver in anticipation of the impending kiss.

AAAUGH! That wasn't enough!!!

Poor CD. Morning sickness is really the pitts.

“Hey I’m back!” Ben yelled as he came running back towards the tent.

That pulled Nate and CD back to reality and they quickly seperated and climbed out of the tent.

“Hey, hungry?” CD smiled at him, trying to think of anything but that almost-kiss.

“Yeah.” Ben nodded.

“Yeah me too.” Nate said and wondered if hadn’t Ben come back at that moment she really would have let him kiss her. For the first time in his life he didn’t give a damn about the food but yet needed it as an excuse to hide his real feelings.

“Okay, let’s see what we have here...” CD grabbed the bag with the food and handed each of them a sandwich and got out one herself and then handed them each a Snapple.

Since they each had different sandwiches and different flavored Snapples Ben grinned. “Hey can we play a game?”

“Sure. What game?” Nate asked and opened his sandwich.

“Okay, it goes like this... I’ll start... there are different commands... stop, swap, imitate, pretend.” He started to explain.

“Meaning?” CD frowned.

“Meaning...” he continued, “if I say stop, you guys have to stop eating and can’t move at all! But I can keep on eating and do whatever I want. The first one who moves loses.”

“What if no one moves?” Nate asked. “We can’t sit here motionless for weeks.”

Ben snickered. “I say continue after a while of course. And then it’s your turn, and after that CD’s and then mine again.”

“Okay, gotcha that far. What about the other commands?” CD asked.

“Okay, if I say swap, I can choose something I wanna swap with. Either one of your sandwiches or Snapples. And after that it’s the next one’s turn again. And imitate means that if I say imitate, I can choose either of you who has to imitate how the other one eats.” He giggled again. “Until I say continue again. And pretend... well then I can choose anything... like a famous person, or someone we all know, or an animal or whatever, and you have to pretend you’re them and eat like them, until I say continue again.” He grinned. “Ohhhh and then there’s repeat! If I say repeat you gotta keep on repeat whatever movement you just did. Like when you picked up your bottle you gotta keep on picking it up the same way until I say continue again. And then there’s slomo.. which is slow motion...”

CD cut him off. “Lemme guess. We gotta eat really slowly then?”

Ben chuckled and nodded.

“Is there ‘eat backwards’ too?” Nate cracked. “Cuz CD is amazing at that.”

CD growled and slugged him.

“Huh?” Ben asked not getting it.

“He means to throw up... he just makes fun of me cause I was sick last week.” She shot him a glare.

Nate nodded and laughed. “Oh come on, the eat backwards comment was funny.”

“No it wasn’t!” CD argued. “Sick Nate, just sick!”

Ben laughed. “I never heard ‘to eat backwards’ for puking before!”

“See, ya even learned something from it.” Nate winked at him.

CD rolled her eyes. “Why don’t you teach him some swearwords too?”

“Oh yeah!” Ben got all excited. “Teach me swearwords!”

N ate now shot CD a glare and then smiled at Ben. “Maybe some other time, I think you learned enough for today already... so you were gonna start that game?”

“Uh huh.” Ben nodded. “Well we all gotta start eating...”

They unwrapped their sandwiches and right away Ben yelled “Repeat!” so they had to put the sandwiches back into the box and out again and back into the box and out again... Ben giggled because of course some tomatoes or salad was bound to fall off the sandwiches due to that. “Okay continue.” He said once he had enough of it.

Now it was Nate’s turn and they all took a bite of their sandwiches. “Okay.” He said, munching, “Slomo!” He orded and smiling watched how both CD and Ben really slowly moved their sandwiches to their mouths to take a bite and really slowly were chewing it. “Continue.” He then said.

“Hang on...” CD got a bag of chips, opened that and put it in the middle. Of course they all right away grabbed a handful and munched those. She grinned and waited until they had taken another bite each. “Imitate each other!” CD ordered. She smiled. She really had to remember this game because apparently Ben had a lot of fun playing it and she was certain her own kid would love it too once he or she would be old enough.

Ben glanced at Nate and then took a huge bite out of his sandwich and swallowed it down, hardly having chewed on it, then shoveled a handful chips into his mouth, swallowed them as fast and gulped it down with a big sip of his Mango Snapple.

Both CD and Nate chuckled and Nate took mini bites out of his own sandwich and giggled all the time because Ben had giggled a lot earlier too. CD smirked. “Continue.”

“Swap!” Ben commanded and handed Nate his Snapple and got Raspberry in return.

So now it was Nate’s turn again. “Hmmmm STOP!” He suddenly called out when Ben was about to take a sip of his new Snapple and CD had just reached for the chips.

He watched how they both remained motionless but that soon got boring. “Continue.”

Now it was CD’s turn again and she ate some chips after all and then wolfed down most of her sandwich and still chewing on it said “swap!” and handed Nate the little bite that was left of her first sandwich corner in exchange for the half that Nate still had.

“Smart move.” Nate chuckled. “Unfair but smart.” CD grinned and took a sip of her Peach Snapple to swallow down all the food with.

Ben too wanted to swap again and now got CD’s Snapple. They continued to swap around for a while until everybody had had each sandwich and each bottle, with a couple of stops, repeats, and slowmos in between as well. So it again was Ben’s turn and he grinned. “Pretend” He said. “Pretend you’re vampires!”

“Vampires don’t eat sandwiches.” CD objected.

“Uh huh.” He grinned. “I know. You gotta suck on Nate’s neck and he on your’s and you gotta leave a mark too of course.” He chuckled, not really expecting them to actually do it though.

CD and Nate looked at each other. And of course they really just wanted to please Ben and do him a favor. Not in the slightest bit were there interested in nibbling each other’s necks. At least that was what was running through their minds while actually they just thought it would be a good excuse to do what they longed to do anyways. So they both put their sandwiches away and wrapped their arms around each other. Nate slightly kissed her neck at first before he started to suck on it while CD let her tongue flicker out against his before she started her sucking.

Ben couldn’t grin broader because they were actually doing it. And they even kept going and going and going. He giggled and wondered if they even remembered he was still there too. “Hey you’re great vampires! CONTINUE!” He yelled and laughed.

CD and Nate right away pulled away and looked at each other’s marks and showed them to Ben to see if he approved. Ben giggled. “Well it ain’t bitemarks but it’ll do...”

CD chuckled. “Some people call it passion-bite though. That’s close enough.”

Nate nodded. “Or love-bites.”

Ben grinned. “Wait that’s like hickeys, right?” He giggled extremely now. He had heard his friends talk about those before but never actually seen one before, let alone seen how they were done.

“Yeah well that happens when humans suck at each other’s necks.” Nate slightly blushed.

“While they pretend to be vampires.” CD added, a small blush on her cheeks as well.

“Cool!” Ben grinned. “Okay, your turn again.” He pointed at Nate.

“Okay... what was that command for CD again? Oh yeah right... eat backwards.” He laughed. What he hadn’t expected though was that CD would actually jump up and dash into the woods. “Ha, ha, VERY FUNNY CD!” He called out after her.

Ben got a kick out of it though and pretended to be throwing up as well.

CD had actually felt sick suddenly though. At least like this she could play it off as a joke. And she did just that and returned laughing and then took a big gulp of her drink.

Nate looked over at her slightly worried. “You weren’t really sick, were ya?”

She laughed again. “Of course not dumbie!” She rolled her eyes. “Okay my turn again...” Suddenly her cellphone started to ring though. “Hang on.” She got it out of her backpack and answered it. “DeLo...”

“WHERE THE HELL IS MY SON?” Magda yelled at her right away.

“Relax, he’s with Nate and me. We took him camping because nobody of his family was at home.” She said with the slightest undertone of accusation in her voice. She’d tell Mag something else right now if Ben wasn’t there.

“YOU WHAT?!?” She yelled at her. “How DARE you? He could have gotten...”

But CD cut her off furiously. “How dare I? How dare YOU?” She yelled back into the phone. “And damn right, if it wasn’t for Nate and me he could have slept on the streets last night because he had nowhere to go! And you know yourself what happens to kids on the streets!”

“You damn bitch!” Magda yelled, mad at CD because she had had the nerve to talk back to her like that.

“You know what Mag? I could return that compliment and add a million more. But for the sake of your son who is sitting next to me I won’t. And I’m sure he’s dying to talk to you.” With that she handed her cellphone to Ben.

“Hey mommy!” Ben exclaimed. “Are you back home again? You shouldn’t go to that doctor anymore, he makes too many tests and stuff with ya.”

“From the mouths of babes...” Nate whispered to CD.

“Oh mom, this is so great! I love camping! I had so much fun! If you have to go for the next checkup, can CD and Nate watch me again? They’re so cool.” He babbled into the phone happily.

Magda took a deep breath and tried to keep cool. “That’s nice papi, now can you let me talk to CD again?”

“Sure. I love you mommy!” He smiled and handed the cellphone back to CD.

“Yes Mag?” CD said.

“You are damn lucky that it’s Saturday and he didn’t miss school!” She yelled at her. “I want him back here right away, so wherever you are COME BACK NOW!!!!” With that she slammed down the phone.

Now CD was the one to take a deep breath and then she smiled at Ben. “Your mom is missing you and wants us to come back, so go and pack your stuff, okay?”

“Awww okay.” He pouted but knew it wasn’t their fault. “Can we do this again sometime?” He smiled.

CD smiled back at him. “If your mom lets you, of course.”

“Great!” He grinned and hugged her and then Nate and crawled into the tent to pack his stuff.

“I could... argh!” CD growled and made a strangling motion with her hands.

Nate laughed. “I take it Mag was being... well Mag?”

CD nodded. “How dare we take her son camping...” She rolled her eyes. “Yeah, how dare we watch him while she’s off cheating on her husband.” She hissed.

Nate sighed and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her temple. “Poor Ben. It just isn’t fair.”

CD nodded and slightly squezzed his hand. “We better pack our stuff too and get back.”

“Yeah we better.” He sighed. “I had fun too by the way.” He smiled at her.

She smiled back. “Yeah, me too.”

Ben crawled out of the tent again. “I’m done.”

“Great. Can you pack the food too?” CD asked him.

“Sure.” He smiled and started right away while CD and Nate started packing the rest.

Soon they were on the road again, heading back. This time CD was driving though and both Nate and Ben had fallen asleep again.

When CD pulled up in front of Mag’s house she stormed out as soon as Ben had stepped out of the car. She gasped. “Benjamin what the hell are you wearing there?”

“My new clothes!” He grinned. “CD and Nate...”

But Magda cut him off. “Go in your room! Now!”

Ben sighed, quickly hugged Nate and CD, whispered “Thanks” and grabbed his stuff before he ran inside.

Magda got right into CD’s face now. “Thank god you don’t have kids. You’d be a horrible mother!”

CD glared at her. “I’d still be better than you cheap little whore!”

“What did you just call me?” Magda yelled.

“You heard me just fine!” CD yelled back.

“You lousy litte bimbo!” Magda yelled back and shoved her.

Nate woke up again and couldn’t believe his eyes. He jumped out of the car. “Girls... stop it.”

But CD shoved Magda back.

“Hey hey hey!” Nate stepped in between them. “CD, be sensible. She wouldn’t have the slightest chance against you. You’re twice her size!”

But CD glared at Nate. “Call me fat again and you’ll be sorry!”

“I never said you’re fat!” Nate protested.

“But you are.” Magda said and laughed. “Fat like a hippo!”

That did it for CD and she pushed Nate aside and lunged at Magda and threw her on the ground, ready to throw a punch.

LOL okay... [edited for Lisa] CD punched the hell out of Magda so her face looked like cooked cerial and she had to be put into a bodycast. They didn't bother with the bodycast thought but put her six feet under right away, took Ben home with them and lived happily ever after... THE END... [/edited for Lisa]

“Hey whoa there!” Nate quickly grabbed CD, picked her up and stuffed her into the car and drove off before either woman could go after the other again. “What the hell was that?” He asked her. “Or rather who the hell was that? What is wrong with you dammit?”

“ME?” CD exclaimed. “You’d better give that speech to that damn slut not me!”

Nate sighed but knew he’d better leave it be for now. They were both silent for a while until CD spoke up again, looking at him with big eyes. “Do you think I’m fat?”

He blinked and turned around to look at her. “Please tell me you didn’t just seriously ask me that!” But her expression told him she had meant it. “CD, you know exactly Magda just said that to provoke you! You’re not fat. You have a wonderful body that’s in perfect shape. Are we clear on that?” He smiled at her.

But she still had that look on her face. What actually bothered her wasn’t that Magda had called her fat. “Do you think I’d be a horrible mom?”

“No!” He exclaimed right away. “Of course not. That’s crap. You’d be an amazing mom who’d love her kids very much, do everything for them and spoil them rotten.” He smiled even broader. “But why do you care? I mean you’ve had your tubes tied after all... or are you considering to get them untied again?”

“No! Of course not.” She growled. ‘Besides it’s too late for that anyways.’ She thought to herself.

“I still think you’re great with kids though. You’d be a great mommy.” He smiled.

She smiled back at him. “And you’d be a great daddy.”
Now he growled. “That ain’t ever gonna happen.” They arrived at her place and he stopped the car and dropped her off. ‘Not as long as you don’t want me and even if... you’d still have your tubes tied then.’ He thought to himself and sighed. “So I’ll uhhh, see you at work then?”

“Yeah” She said and got out of the car. “No wait, my car still is at the station. Can you come pick me up again?”

“Of course.” He smiled. “I’ll see ya in a few. I just wanna go home, take a shower and stuff.”

She nodded. “Uhh... if ya want...” She motioned towards her appartment. “You can just stay and take a shower here... I could make some real breakfast then?”

He grinned. “Sounds perfect. I still have clothes to change with me anyways, I packed way to much.”

She chuckled. “Yeah me too.”

They took their stuff and walked into her appartment. CD just dropped everything somewhere. “Hey listen. I’ll go take a shower first and then you can go while I start with the breakfast?”

“Sounds good.” He nodded and smirked at her. “Unless you want me to join ya.”

She smirked right back at him. “Careful with the innuendo. What would you do if I’d say yes?”

His heart leaped at that. “Say yes and find out.” He whispered.

i would say yes if I were CD....:D

hehe... yeah well... who wouldn't wanna shower with Nate? ;)

She opened her mouth to reply but at that moment the phone rang. She had set her machine to answer the calls right away still because they were gone. “Hey, this is CD. Sorry ‘bout the machine. I’m not here, so... ya know the drill.” Her voice sounded from the tape.

“Oh hey CD, Jin here.” She answered. “I thought you guys are back already. Ben just called me.” She chuckled. “He had a blast even though Mag is bitching around. But I just wanted to tell ya that it’s her own fault. I know how she can be sometimes... so don’t worry about it too much.”

CD picked up the phone now. “Hey Jin, we just got in.”

“Oh there ya are.” Jin said and grinned. “Nate still there too?”

“Yeah, I promised him breakfast. And ya know how he is when he smells food.” CD chuckled.

Jinny laughed. “Yeah I know someone else like that too.” She joked. “Anyhow... what happened? Ben mentioned seeing you and Mag fight? He called me because he was scared you guys would be mad at him.”

“No of course not!” CD exclaimed. “We had fun together. But Magda reacted as if we took him to some child labor slavery camp!”

Jinny sighed. “Yeah I already thought something like that. I told him not to worry. And as for Magda... when it comes to Ben she tends to get a little overprotective. But she’s gonna cool down again. So don’t worry about that. If ya want my advice, just apologize to her and it’s gonna be okay again. She’s probably feeling sorry already, but she always needs the other one to apologize first... believe me I know.”

CD chuckled. “Thanks for that Jin.” She grinned. “So how was the evening with Teddy huh?”

Jinny grinned broadly. “He’s taking a shower right now. He served me breakfast in bed this morning.”

“Hmmm sounds wonderful.” CD smiled.

“Oh it was.” Jinny snickered. “Oh hey listen, I gotta go. I’ll see ya later.” She had just seen Teddy emerge from the bathroom again and hung up.

“Okay bye.” CD said and hung up too.

Nate smiked at her. “So Teddy scored, eh?”

CD smirked back. “I have a feeling they both did.”

“Good point.” He laughed.

She grinned. “I’m gonna go take that shower now...” She walked into the bathroom but didn’t lock the door behind her, hoping he was more than joking around about joining her.

Nate sighed and looked after her and wished she would have invited him along,not seeing that actually she had, subtle though without pointing it out.

CD let the water pour down on her and closed her eyes. She took a deep breath and suddenly she could feel his strong arms encircle her from behind as he tenderly kissed her neck. Not waisting any time with words he picked her up and claimed her mouth for a steamy kiss as he pressed her against the wall of the shower and....

And..............??? Come on............don't leave us here.Post more!Please?Pretty please?:happyface

CD let the water pour down on her and closed her eyes. She took a deep breath and suddenly she could feel his strong arms encircle her from behind as he tenderly kissed her neck. Not waisting any time with words he picked her up and claimed her mouth for a steamy kiss as he pressed her against the wall of the shower and....

“Hey CD I’ll make coffee already.” Nate called out.

CD opened her eyes again and sighed. “Yeah sure.” She yelled back and quickly took her shower, alone and without succumbing to another fantasy. She went into her bedroom and got dressed for the day before walking up to him in the kitchen. Smiling she handed him a couple of towels. “Use whatever you need. And if you need something else...”

He picked up his stuff and took the towels from her. “Thanks.” He went into the bathroom and sighing looked into the mirror.

CD filled a cup with coffee when she heard Nate come back. She turned around and saw him rub over his chin slightly. “I uhhhh, could use a razor I guess... you don’t happen to have one?”

CD smiled. “Well just the one I use for my legs, but that should do. The stuff is in the shower too.”

“Thanks.” He grinned and went back to the bathroom as she started to make some pancakes.

Nate quickly got undressed and then picked up her razor. He sighed and smirked at it. “You’re one lucky bastard, you know that? You get to glide over those incredible legs and I really shouldn’t think about where else right now.” He muttered and tried to shake that image but didn’t quite succeed and cut himself a couple of times.

Then he stepped under the shower and like she had done earlier took a deep breath. Since she had just showered herself her scent still lingered in the air. Of course that drove him even more insane and he couldn’t help it that that started to show now. He sighed and looked down at his erection. When he reached out to turn the water’s temperature to icecold he suddenly shivered because a flashback appeared out of nowhere. First he thought he was dreaming. CD was under the shower with him and they were both full of peanut butter or something. Kissing and making out like there was no tomorrow they then fell through the curtain and on the ground, but completely unimpressed by that they had absolutely mindblowing sex.

Nate swallowed when he realized where that must have come from. He remembered how her bathroom, her whole appartment had looked the morning he woke up in her bed. Of course he had helped her fix everything again eventually and now there were no traces left that would remind to their one night stand. It was as if it had never happened and thankfully it didn’t carry any consequences with it.

Still lost in thoughts about CD he didn’t really notice that he started to touch himself. He had to swallow because he suddenly could remember the feel of her naked skin against his own again. How she had touched and caressed him everywhere. He moaned when he felt her hand around his **** again.

“Oh god what am I doing here?” He muttered to himself as he realized that in fact it was his own hand. But it was too late too stop now.

Still breathing heavily he opened his eyes again and looked around the shower. CD was gone again as quickly as she had appeared. With a sigh Nate looked at the damage he had done inside of her shower and quickly cleaned it up again before actually washing himself. “Man just hope she doesn’t ever find out about this one.” He muttered. “Jerking off under her shower while thinking about her... Nate Basso, you’re dead.” He sighed. But it was her own damn fault. Why did she have to be so sexy and tempting after all?

Eventually he made his way back to the kitchen, dressed for work, his hair still damp.

CD smiled at him and put a plate down in front of him. “I made pancakes.”

“Ohhh great!” He exclaimed and started to dig in right away, looking just at his plate and the food, unable to look her into the eyes right now. It hadn’t been the first time that he had thought about her that way, but everytime it was hard to face her again afterwards. Maybe because he felt guilty or maybe it just hurt to know he could never have what he desired so badly. But yet this time was even different. She had been in the door next room after all. So close but yet so far away. It was pure torture for him to know he’d never be able to actually reach her, and that whenever he started to believe he could get to her after all, he had to realize that it had been just another fata morgana and that he still was stranded in the desert of love.

CD sighed and started to eat herself. Whenever food appeared in the same room that Nate was in he behaved like a dog at the sight of raw meat. Not that she was any better at the moment though. But that was the baby’s fault. No wonder though, seeing it was Nate’s. She slightly chuckled and wondered just how much her son or daughter would be like him.

“What?” Nate looked up.

“Oh nothing. I was just thinking about Ben’s game again.” She smiled.

“Yeah that was fun.” He smiled back. “The whole thing was.”

“Yeah it was.” She agreed and they continued to smile at each other for a moment before quietly finishing off their breakfast.

Nate got up and handed her the dishes and she put them into the dishwasher. When he handed her a plate he accidently brushed over her hand with his own. They looked up at each other and smiled again.

“So I guess we’re ready for work then?” He asked once they had dealt with the dishes.

“Oh no, I don’t think so.” She took his hand and dragged him into the bathroom with her.

He swallowed and got scared for a moment. Had she noticed after all? “Uhhh...” He had no idea what to say.

She made him look into the mirror and pointed at her ‘vampire-bite’. “We better cover those up if we don’t want anybody jump to conclusions.”

“Oh yeah.” He nodded. “Good point.” Then he frowned. “Wait, what do you mean... cover up? Like... make-up?”

CD chuckled and rummaged around through her stuff until she found a powder. “No one’s ginna notice.” She assured him. “I’m just gonna put it on that spot, not doll you up completely.”

“Uhhh...” He looked at her still frowning.

“Trust me?” She smiled at him.

“I do!” He smiled back. “Okay, go ahead.”

“Alright, hold still.” She said and stepped close to him to cover up the mark on his neck.

He smiled because she was standing so close and put his hands on her hips. “That kind of tickles.”

She chuckled. “Well hold still or I’m really gonna tickle you.” She finished. “Alright, you’re done.”

“But you’re not.” He said and smirked.

“Yeah not yet.” She said and looked into the mirror and started to apply the stuff on herself.

Nate grinned and with his forefinger caressed over the other side of her neck. “I could give you a matching one here.”

CD laughed. “Oh don’t you dare!” She finished again and put the stuff away. “You ready?”

“To give you another one?” He smirked. “Anytime.”

CD laughed. “Oh don’t you dare!” She finished again and put the stuff away. “You ready?”

“To give you another one?” He smirked. “Anytime.”

She laughed. “Ready for work you dork!”

“Ohh yeah... that too.” He chuckled. “Come on, let’s go.”

They grabbed their stuff and went to his car.

At work they were glad when no one noticed their hickeys and everything went its usual way. Except for CD and Magda who were avoiding each other. Every now and then Mag would make some comment though and CD would hiss something like “I should have put her in a bodycast,” to Nate.

About a week later CD finally had her first appointment with her GYN. Rather nervously she was sitting in the waitingroom and smiled at all the obviously pregnant women there, wondering when she would start to show. Finally it was her turn and she walked inside.

“Mrs DeLorenzo?” The elderly woman smiled at her.

“Call me CD.” She smiled back.

“CD.” She said. “My name is Annabeth.” She motioned her to sit down. It was important to her that her patients felt comfortable there, especially during their pregnancies. “You’re here because you think you’re pregnant?”

CD nodded. “Yes... well at first I thought it’s the flu or something, but when I went to see a doctor he said I’m pregnant and referred me to you.”

She nodded and looked through a file. “Oh yeah, I have the results right here. Well congratulations.” She smiled at her. “Did you bring the proud daddy along? If you’d like he can come inside as well.”

“There is no daddy.” CD hissed. “Let alone a proud one.” She sighed.

Annabeth gave her a look at that.

“It was a one-night-stand.” CD explained.

“Oh I see.” She nodded. “You already know how far along you are?”

CD nodded since it really just could have happened during that one night with Nate. “Nine weeks.”

“Let’s do an ultrasound, shall we?” Annabeth smiled.

“You’re the doc.” CD chuckled and followed her to the machine and took off her shirt and then laid down.

“Alright, this is going to be cold now.” Annabeth said before putting some gel on CD’s tummy.

“And it tickles!” CD giggled a little.

“Sorry.” Annabeth said and switched on the ultrasound machine. She started the procedure and CD curiously looked at the screen, not able to recognize anything though.

“Oh my!” Annabeth exclaimed. “Surprise CD, it’s twins!”

CD blinked shocked, looked at Annabeth and then at the machine where she now was able to recognize something like two circles. “You... you mean... those two things are two babies?”

She nodded and smiled at CD, pointing it out further.

“Wow...” CD mumbled in amazement. “I have two babies in my belly!”

Annabeth smiled at her and nodded and then printed out a couple of ultrasound photos for her.

“Do you know if they’re girls or boys or both?” CD asked her.

“No not yet.” She answered. “I can tell you maybe when you’re around sixteen weeks along.”

CD nodded. “That’s okay... I’m not even sure yet if I want to know in advance or not.”

“Take your time to think about it CD.” She smiled at her again.

“I will... when will I start to show? I mean especially with twins... I’m gonna be twice as fat then, or?” Looking down at her still flat stomach she wondered how long it would stay like that.

“In a few weeks I’d estimate.” Answering the question Annabeth wiped the gel off CD’s belly again with a papertowel. “But the most important thing is, you are not going to be fat. Pregnant and big is okay, but I don’t pull yourself down by thinking that you’re fat.”

CD nodded. “Okay okay, I didn’t mean it that way actually... just wondering about just how... big I’ll be.”

Before answering the question she shrugged. “That’s different for every woman and every pregnancy. I’ve seen women at nine weeks with only one baby who already were twice your size. So I can’t really tell at all.”

“I guess I’ll find out soon enough, huh?” CD smiled.

“Certainly.” She smiled back at her. “I want to see you here at least once a month and as soon as anything happens that bothers you the slightest bit.”

CD nodded again. “I’ll get an appointment for next month.”

“Great.” Annabeth said as CD fixed herself again. “I’ll see you in about four weeks then.”

“Thanks. I’ll see ya.” CD said and walked out after Annabeth had given her the printouts and the video.

Of course she couldn’t just go back to work right away now. So she called Kate to take the rest of the day off and bought herself the biggest icecreamcone she could get and drove to the Golden Gate park where she stopped to buy a couple of hotdogs from a vendor, still eating on her icecream. The guy of course gave her a weird look.

“What?” She glared at him. “I’m pregnant!” Then she smiled proudly and added. “with twins!”

He smiled back at her. “Congratulations ma’am.” When CD wanted to pay he waved it off. “Oh no... consider it a present or something.”

“Thank you.” Smiling again she walked off and realized that she had just said it aloud for the first time. To a hot dog vendor. But she had announced it. “I’m pregnant.” She whispered again. “With twins...”

Another couple of weeks went by and CD started to have the slightest hint of a belly, which excited her immensely. It was only visible when she was naked though so no one noticed because she could hide it without problems under her usual clothes.

She also was very glad because the stuff the doc had prescribed her actually helped her nausea. She still had to dash into the bathroom every morning as soon as she woke up though, but during the day she usally had it under control.

One day at work she was really deep in thoughts and her mind kept on drifting to the babies all the time. The case she and Nate were working was a murdered husband and when they had broken the news to his wife she had broken down and worried how she would raise her kids without her husband now. So naturally that bothered CD, she didn’t quite show it though.

But for the moment she was in the bullpen alone. Magda had left for a date with Jonah and Nate, Jinny and Raina. She didn’t wanna go along though because she needed to think. She told them she had paperwork to finish so they left alone. She sighed as she wondered just how the hell she would raise her own kids all alone.

Suddenly Magda burst through the doors again, cursing under her breath. CD looked up at her. “You okay?”

“Yeah.” Magda muttered. “Jonah got an emergency call.” She hissed angrily. “Damn hospital.”

CD walked up to her nodded. “Hey, I wanted to talk to you anyways... I mean we’re cool again, right?” She didn’t say she was sorry for the fight though because she wasn’t.

“Yeah whatever.” Magda said, not actually giving a damn.

“Great.” CD nodded. “Ben’s a great boy.” She smiled. “Tell him hi from me and Nate, okay?”

Just nodding her head Magda sat down at her desk.

“I can understand that you’re protective about him and all.” CD said. “I bet it was hard raising him all alone the first years.”

“Yeah it was.” Magda hissed, wondering just what the blonde hussy wanted from her now and why she was making such a fuss about her son.

“Do you think you would’ve been able to raise two kids at the same time without help and all?” Hoping Mag wasn’t getting the clue CD asked what she really wanted to know.

At that Magda had to laugh. “Are you kidding me? I’m glad I had my mom! I wouldn’t even have managed to raise Ben all alone!”

CD nodded. “I see.” She went back to her desk thinking, ‘Figures... stupid me to ask that somebody who drops of her son from one place to the next one.’ Then she glanced towards Kate’s office. ‘Thank god I can get a second opinion on being a single mom.’ She thought and picked up a file. “Anyhow... Kate asked for this.” She said and after knocking on the door walked into her office.

“Hey CD.” Hanging up the phone Kate smiled at her. “You need me to sign that or something?”

“Huh? What?” Confused CD looked at her.

“The file in your hands?” Motioning at it Kate frowned.

“Oh that...” CD sat down. “That’s nothing...”

Kate frowned even more. “Then how can I help you?”

Sighing CD shrugged. “I guess it’s just Nate and my case at the moment that’s bothering me... Mrs. Norman’s all worried because she has to raise her two kids all by herself now.” She swallowed and looked up at Kate. “I mean you know it best how it is to be a single mom and all... Do you think you would have managed two kids about the same age at the same time?”

Not knowing Magda had just given her the same reaction to the same question already Kate had to laugh. “Hell no! I’m glad I had my mom and my sister to help me with Amanda actually. But two of them?” She shook her head and suddenly frowned when all pieces were falling together. “CD, why exactly are you asking me this?”

CD swallowed and nervously looked on the ground. “Well ya know... the case and Mrs Norman and all and...” She swallowed again.

“Bull**** CD!” Kate said, putting an end to this. “You’re pregnant.” That’s what it had to be. Her nausea, her cravings, heat waves, her crabbiness and now her question. “With twins I presume?”

Kate smiled at her again and then sighed. “Considering your question the father isn’t gonna be much help?”

CD shook her head. “He doesn’t want kids.” She sighed. “Besides it was just a one night thing anyways... we both were drunk and then it happened.” She shrugged.

“I see.” Kate nodded. “But CD, you’re not alone. You know you can always count on me. And I’m sure that partner of yours is gonna be a great help as well. And all of your friends here...”

CD cut her off. “They don’t know it.”

“Well then tell them! They’ll be happy for you!” Kate smiled again.

Shaking her head a tear emerged from her eye but she quickly wiped it away again. “They can’t know. I don’t want anyone to find out!” She said vehemently.

That surprised Kate. “What? Why not?”

“Because... well I have my reasons.” She swallowed. “Good ones at that. Please, you just gotta trust me on this... you can’t tell anyone! Not Nate, not Jinny, not Magda and especially not Raina!”

Kate sighed but nodded. “I promise I won’t if that’s what you want. But you know... they will notice sooner or later...”

CD sighed too. “Yeah I guess... unless I have some brilliant idea... but I’m still hardly even showing.”

Kate looked at her belly closely. “True. I can’t see a thing.”

“A little bit only.” CD nodded and sighed again. “Oh god Kate, I’m so scared... two babies at once... and I don’t have a nice family to help me out.”

“Yes you do.” Kate said. “Even if you don’t want to tell any of the others yet. I know, and I mean it, I will help you whereever I can.”

CD smiled happily and hugged her tightly and started to sob. “Thank you.”

“Aww shhh...” Kate hugged her back, knowing the pregnancy also made her very emotional. She stroked over her back and managed to calm her down again. “It’s gonna be okay.” She whispered soothingly.

Swallowing CD looked at her with big blue eyes. “Promise?”

“Promise.” Kate smiled and stroked through her hair. It was weird how those inspectors were like daughters – and a son – to her. And she was going be something like a grandma, that really excited her.

Reassured CD smiled again. “And you’ll help me? Really?”

“Of course!” Kate said proudly. “I wouldn’t wanna miss anything in the life of those two.” She patted CD’s belly with a grin.

CD grinned back at her. “Can you believe this? Me, pregnant?”

Kate smiled and nodded. “You’ll be an awesome mommy, I know it.” Then she grinned broadly. “How about you and I take the day off and go babyshopping, huh?”

CD grinned back. She would love that. “Oh I don’t know... my boss might see me...” She joked.

“Very funny Candace.” Kate laughed. “Come on now. I wanna spoil the three of you!”

“Oooh! I like that!” CD smirked. “Can I have icecream?”

“Of course.” Chuckling Kate led her out of the office.

“Hey where are you going?” Magda asked as they walked out of the bullpen.

“Wherever we have to go.” CD snapped back at her.

Kate gave her a look. “If any of the others ask, we won’t be back today. And I still want that one report from you.” With that they went into the elevator. As soon as the doors closed behind them the second one opened and Nate, Raina and Jinny returned from lunch.

Magda informed them that Kate and CD had just left and everybody wondered what that was about but they shrugged it off again, thinking it most likely was because of some case.

As soon as CD and Kate arrived at the mall CD claimed that promised icecream from her. Kate proved to be very helpful with everything CD needed and promised to accompany her again whenever she thought of something else she needed. The only thing that slightly annoyed Kate was the fact that CD wanted to stop for another load of icecream after every store. “How in the world can you shovel all of that into yourself?” She asked at the seventh double chocolate, mango sorbet, whipped cream and strawberry sauce bowl.

“Hey I’m eating for three here!” CD protested. “So cut me some slack.”

They laughed about that and continued to have a nice day at the mall together until Kate dropped CD and the wagonload of babystuff off at home again and exhausted from the day CD just crawled into bed.

Another couple of weeks went by and CD hadn’t told anybody yet. But she and Kate were fussing over it constantly when they were alone. Kate also made sure that CD and Nate weren’t working any cases that would be too hard on CD, physically or emotionally.

Of course the proud ‘grandma’ insisted on accompanying CD to her next GYN appointment. Annabeth was happy that CD didn’t have to go through the pregnancy all alone and she and Kate liked each other from the start. So of course Kate got a printout from the latest ultrasound as well.

CD was very delighted about the whole thing because this time she could actually make out the forms of two babies. Tears of joy started to stream over her face. “Dammit Kate! Make me stop crying!” She sobbed.

Kate chuckled and squeezed her hand. “It’s okay, don’t worry about it.”

Annabeth nodded, pointing out some more things on the monitor.

“My babies!” CD whispered amazed, now that they were more than circles it really sunk in. “Look at that Kate! Two real human babies!”

Kate laughed. “I’d be worried if they weren’t human.”

Annabeth had to chuckle at that comment but CD shot them both glares and they stopped. “You know what I mean! They have arms! And legs! And heads and awwwww...” She grinned proudly.

Kate grinned too, she remembered how everything in her pregnancy with Amanda had excited her, and to be honest, she felt the same way again now. “Yeah I know! It’s amazing isn’t it?” She stroked through CD’s hair and smiled.

“Oh yeah.” CD nodded and stroked over her tummy lovingly. “And I’m showing a little now too!” She exclaimed proudly.

Annabeth nodded. “Yeah, you’re at thirteen weeks now, so that was about time.” She smiled. “And from now on it’s gonna be fast. You’ll be showing more and more!”

Kate grinned. “You need maternity clothes!”

“You mean we’re going shopping again?” CD grinned.

“Damn right we are!” She grinned back at her. “How about Saturday?”

“Sounds great.” CD nodded.

“You’re one proud grandma, huh?” Annabeth smirked.

“Oh no, I’m not actually the grandma...” Kate started to protest.

“Hell yeah you are!” CD objected right away. “I mean, you might not be my mother, but I wouldn’t allow that woman in the same room with my babies anyways... you’re their grandma.” She smiled and then hesitated. “Uhhh... if you want to that is..” She mumbled.

“Of course I want to!” Kate beamed with pride now.

Annabeth smiled at them happily. “Well, I think we’re done for today actually, unless you have any more questions?”

CD sighed. “I can’t stop eating, is that ever gonna change? And I have to pee all of the time.”

The doc nodded. “That’s because the babies apply pressure to the bladder, that’s normal. And don’t worry about the eating, just make sure you don’t just live from chocolate. You need vitamins and...”

CD cut her off. “I know, I know... I’m making sure I, and the babies, get everything we need.”

“That’s good.” Annabeth smiled. “How’s the morning sickness?”

With a groan CD rolled her eyes. “Don’t remind me... but with that tea at least I don’t have to throw up all the time anymore.”

“I’m glad to hear that.” Annabeth answered.

“Uhhh...” CD slightly blushed. “There’s one more thing...”

“Go ahead.” She nodded. “Whatever it is, ask me.”

Now CD sighed. “It’s nothing really, it’s just... lately I’m constantly... ya know... horny.” She whispered. “Is that normal too.”

With another nod Annabeth answered. “Yeah, that can be one of the side effects of a pregnancy. Don’t worry about that, it’s absolutely okay to have sex during the pregnancy, in case you and the dad...”

“Not happening. He doesn’t want kids, that’s the end of it.” Pissed she stormed out of the office.

Kate frowned. “Sorry...” She looked after CD.

“Don’t worry about it.” Annabeth sighed. “It’s a shame though. CD is such a wonderful person, she shouldn’t have to go through this alone. I’m just glad she has you.”

Sighing Kate nodded. “So am I, trust me, so am I.” With that she follwed CD after making another appointment for next month.

To reconcile CD again she took her to the next icecream parlor. It worked thankfully and CD was happily babbling about how she couldn’t wait to feel the babies move and other things along those lines.

Kate smiled and told her things about her pregnancy in return.

Suddenly CD sighed though. “It sucks.”

“What sucks honey?” Kate looked up at her rather startled, she had been so happy again.

“He’d be such a great daddy.” CD couldn’t help that a smile curved her lips now. “He’s great with kids! But he doesn’t want his own.” She sighed into her icecream.

“Do I happen to know him?” Kate asked with raised eyebrow.

“No.” CD said. She hated having to lie about that but if Kate knew Nate was the father, that would just cause more trouble and neither of them needed that right now. “Anyhow...” she quickly changed the topic, “when you take me shopping for maternity stuff... don’t DARE to try putting me into stupid flowery dresses!” She shot her a glare.

Kate had to laugh at the image of CD in a ‘stupid flowery dress’. “Don’t worry, I promise I won’t.”

“Good.” She smiled. “And I want stuff that hides it...”

Nodding Kate responded. “That shouldn’t be a problem. At least not yet... I mean even though you started to show, it’s just a small belly still and even in your normal clothes no one can see it yet.”

“Yeah, I’m really glad about that.” She nodded and yawned. “Damn, lately everything I seem to be is tired or horny... and hungry is a given either way.”

Kate chuckled. “I was exactly the same way with Amanda... go home and get some rest.”

“But I...” CD started.

Shaking her head Kate cut her off. “No buts... you and my grandbabies need the rest!”

“What about work?” She asked anyways.

“Would you stop worrying about that? It’ll be okay.” Kate said and got up.

CD got up as well. “What are you gonna tell Nate?”

“Not the truth I suppose.” With a sigh she walked through the door and back to the car again.

“No!” For even suggesting that CD shot her another glare.

“Don’t worry CD, I’ll keep my promise. I’ll tell him something came up, nothing more, nothing less.” They arrived at the car and Kate unlocked it.

“Okay fine.” With another yawn CD agreed and Kate dropped her off at her appartment.

AH! When is she going to tell Nate??? It's gotta be soon!

Another week went by like usual, except that CD had a hard time trying to keep her ever-growing attraction for Nate under control. And of course she blamed him for that and snapped at him every chance she got. Eventually he had enough of that of course. “What the hell is your problem?” He yelled at her.

“MY problem?” She snapped back. “I don’t have a problem! YOU have a problem!”

“Damn right I do!” With a glare he yelled back. “YOU are my problem!”

“I’ll show you I’m your problem bitch!” CD yelled back.

“Did you just call me BITCH?” Of course that pissed Nate off even more.

“Wait what else I’ll call you!” Ready to throw a punch CD got right into his face.

Thankfully at that Kate rushed up to them, having overheard the last part of their ‘conversation’. “Guys, stop it!” Well aware that most likely the cause for their fight was one of CD’s moodswings she stepped between them. “Who started this?” She asked.

“He did!” CD pointed at Nate.

At the same time he pointed back at her and exclaimed “She did!”

Kate just groaned. “Kids... play nice again.” She looked at CD. “Candace, you stop being mean to Nate...”

Then she looked at Nate who had started to laugh at that. “And Nathan, you stop egging her on!”

“But I didn’t...!” They both exclaimed at the same time.

“I SAID STOP!!! Both of you! Shake hands and be friends again, geez.” She rolled her eyes and waited for them to shake hands.

They didn’t seem to wanna do that though.

“I’m still waiting...” Impatiently Kate tapped her foot.

Finally they slowy reached out for each other, quickly shook hands and then each wiped their hand off at their pants.

Walking back into her office Kate muttered under her breath “Kindergarden...” She hoped CD would just tell him and the others already. If they knew they’d at least understand why she acted the way she acted sometimes. But CD was dead set on no one finding out.

The rest of CD and Nate’s day was spent by ignoring each other. Eventually they left again and went home. CD sat down in front of the TV and flipped through the channels but after a while she gave up very frustrated because she had only one thing on her mind and figured she finally had to do somthing about that. Taking a deep breath she got up and determined muttered “Now or never!”

Nate was sitting on his couch, staring at the TV, but not even caring about whatever was being aired because he couldn’t stop thinking about CD and how bitchy she could be lately. He sighed and switched off the TV since he wasn’t watching anyways. He thought maybe he’d get some sleep if he went to bed early.

About an hour later the doorbell rang and he got up and slipped on a tee-shirt, not wanting to open the door in just his boxers,wondering who’d drop by this late. “CD!” He exclaimed surprised but happy to see her.

Pouting she leaned against the doorframe, wearing her warm and long babyblue coat. “I’m sorry I was such a bitch today.”

“Hey don’t worry about it.” He smiled at her. “You had a bad day... it happens... besides I wasn’t exactly nice either.”

“Good point.” She nodded.

“Uhhh... you wanna come inside?” He pointed towards his couch.

“I thought you’d never ask.” She purred and walked past him.

He swallowed because that tone in her voice put all kinds of impure thoughts into his mind.

Still wearing her coat she smiled at him. “Aren’t you gonna offer me something to drink?”

“Uhh, yeah of course...” He stammered and walked into his kitchen. “Whatcha want? Beer?” He called out.

“Nah... you have some juice? Or milk?” She asked as she followed him.

“Chocolate milk?” He grinned and got out two glasses.

“Hmmm. Yummy.” She grinned back at him and leaned against the doorframe of the kitchen now.

His back was still turned towards her because he was busy fixing their chocolate milks. “Uh huh.” Proudly he grinned. “I make the best chocolate milks on this planet.”

“I don’t doubt that.” She smiled and slowly unbuttoned her coat.

Nate grinned and turned around just in time when she had undone the last button. Shocked he gulped at what he saw then, for a moment wondering if he was having another fantasy, but he knew this was real. His partner and source for all of his fantasies, CD, was standing right in front of him, the only thing she was wearing under that coat were black garters, a lacy thong and a bra to go along with that.
