If you're a Stephen King fan you would really hate it. He personally doesn't like to sign autographs but when he does he checks to see that the person gets no more than two in his or her lifetime. That's not the worst part. It usually takes about 18 to 24 months for a person to receive an autograph from him.

Good question. Presumably his father would give assurances that Brett would behave. What that's worth is another matter. Actually, the only contact I ever had with him was playing his games, and he was pretty normal on those occasions.

Well, we were talking about autographs awhile ago, and although I've never made an effort to collect them, I do have one interesting one. Around 1970, I sent to Roddenberry's wife's (Majel Barrett) company for some Trek paraphernalia, including the script to that ep. I also wrote them a brief note, which may have caused them to decide that I was a true blue fan. Maybe that could explain what happened. When I got the script, it was signed by the author, D.C. Fontana, as follows: To Brandon, Live long and prosper. - D.C. Fontana. Years later, I thought to check which eps she wrote, and she apparently invented that phrase, since she wrote the first ep. Spock said it in.
