I was thinking kind of the same thing, except a bit differently. I thought, okay, what would make dad happy--liking Bill Bixby or being the town whore? If you're wondering why I haven't posted in a while, it is because I made a long post about an observation I made in a Bewitched episode but my mother's computer froze just as I finished it. I then went to the upstairs computer but my father had shut it down so I booted it up. Just as I got on the message boards, my mother called my sister and I to dinner. I made that post I wasn't able to make at the Bewitched board, so it is not a total loss.

It really and truly is the only thing that helps me. I have loud hiccups and it doesn't help matters any that I can get them so easily. I can laugh just a couple of times and get the hiccups.

I loved my mom's mom. But I can't honestly say about my dad's mom. She died when I was a baby, but my mom couldn't and still can't stand her to this day. So if she would've lived a while longer, I'd prob. be in the same boat with you.
