"Sorry about running out on you. I just couldn't watch anymore." For once it wasn't her fiance on the other end, but her upset friend.

"CD are you alright?" She asked worried.

CD took a deep breath. "Oh well, how'd you be?"

"About like you. I actually thought you were Teddy again." Jinny could understand CD's reaction.

CD chuckled. "He's probably worried right now because the line is busy and you're not picking up."

"Yeah I wouldn't be suprised if he can't get through he might show up down here." Jinny chuckled herself.

"Wouldn't surprise me either." She sighed. "I'm afraid to ask, but how's Casanova doing?"

"Well when I had left he had her going to take care of another john and she was going to come back and talk to Nate." Jinny answered and added: "Just talk."

"So she's not there now, right? I'm gonna hang up." She wanted to go talk to Nate as long as the whore was gone.

"No she went to service a john." Jinny repeated.

"Alright. See ya later." CD hung up and rushed to Nate's room and knocked on the door.

Jinny returned to the van as she knew where CD was on her way to. As soon as Jinny had entered the van her phone rang again.

When she answered it was Teddy again. "Honey,are you alright? I couldn't get a hold of you!"

"I am fine. I was just talking to CD." She smiled.

"Oh I see. How's the situation?" He hoped that CD and Nate would work this out again.

"Well Nate is in the room by himself, well by now I am sure CD has joined him. The hooker will be back after she services a john to give him information." She filled him in on what had happened since his last call.

"So you're all by yourself?" He purred into the phone.

"Yeah I am all alone in this van." She grinned.

"Then what are you doing all alone?" He smirked.

"Waiting for this to get over with so I can come home to you." Jinny answered.

"Well I could always come to you." Teddy suggested.

"Sounds tempting, but by the time you'd be here I bet the hooker is back in Nate's room and I have to work again." Jinny sighed.

"Jin what if I was to tell you I am about a half a block away?" Teddy asked.

Jin replied, "How can you be you haven't had time to get here."

Teddy replied, "I can wish can't I? I would love to be so I could take you in my arms. Actually I think I will leave and by the time I get there this should be over with."

Meanwhile CD indeed stormed into the room. "Had fun?" She crossed her arms and glared at Nate.

Nate looked at CD and said, "Not particularly."

CD just rolled her eyes. "Ya know what, when she comes back, why don't you just go down on her, huh?"

Nate looked at CD before he said, "I didn't enjoy touching her like that. I will have you know."

CD still glared at him. "If you say so..."

"CD." Nate said and walked up to her and put his hands on her shoulders. "She was scared and mistrusting me. Look I know Paul was a jerk, but I'm not him, so you'll just have to stop seeing him in me."

CD replied, "Do you know what kind of tortue it was to sit there and watch you fondle that hooker. I am trying to understand but your hands were all over her."

"I massaged her shoulders that was all!" He glared back at her now. "You don't trust me one bit, do you? Look at me! I'm not Paul dammit!" He was yelling.

CD pushed his hands away and glared back at him. "I know that! And I do trust you! But dammit, how would you react if I had my hands all over some pimp, huh?"

"I'd stay calm because I'd know it's just because of the job." He smiled at her because he knew she had a point. So he tilted her chin up again.

"Liar!" She pushed his hand away again. "And don't you dare touch me again!"

At that Nate took her and threw her on the bed and kissed her full force. CD returned the kiss just the same. When they had to pull back for air he stroked through her hair and looked deep into her eyes. "Yes I lied... I'd kill that guy. I'm sorry baby." He whispered.

CD replied, "Uh-huh that is what I thought."

Back in the van Jinny sighed. "I wish you could be here as well, you have no idea just what I'd do to you then."

Teddy started out the apartment as he grabbed his coat his phone still attached to his ear as he replied, "And pray tell what would you do?"

She heard how he left his place and grinned. "Well first I'd send you to get me a coffee. And while you're at it, bring one for the others too." She smirked.

Teddy replied, "Coffee huh, maybe I should stay home and wait on you."

"But I want that coffee really bad" she pouted.

"How bad do you want the coffee, cause with what I have in mind I don't think you will need any coffee. Besides you said the others weren't there now. I am leaving and hoping that all this is done by the time I get there cause on the way home I think we can pick up take out and I will show you what you have missed sweetie by being out on a stakeout while I was at home missing you." Teddy grinned broadly at the thought of that.

Jin replied, "Really and how long do you think it will take for you to get here, cause from what I hear on the other end was fighting and now they are in the process of making up."

Teddy chuckled. "Then my dear I am sure you shouldn't be watching that."

Jinny laughed and glimpsed at the screen where CD and Nate had picked up kissing again. "Hey from what I see so far I'm gonna get free porn here soon." She joked.

"I'll have something better for you when I get there." Teddy whispered seductively.

"Ooooh, so you're bringing me coffee after all then? That's so sweet Teddy." She teased him and hung up laughing.

CD and Nate continued kissing each other as Jinny climbed into the front of the van waiting for Teddy to get there.

Every now and then Jinny could hear the sounds coming from the room as she was wondering when this hooker would be done with her john and hopefully CD would be out of there by then.

Nate was all over CD and even though she enjoyed that very much she knew she had to leave again before Elly the hooker would be back. And she knew that if she and Nate really got into it now, they'd be occupied with each other way longer than Elly and her 'client'. So she pushed him away. "Baby, I better go."

"Noooo, stay!" He whined and kissed her again.

"I have to, and you know that." She sighed.

He sighed as well. "Yeah I know." But he claimed another kiss before he let her go again.

Thanks :) and yeah I am, at least until I have to go to the dentist again... in not even an hour *sighs* And then I have to pack my bags and stuff cause my mother decided that we go on 'vacation' to the Netherlands this weekend from Friday to Sunday... so I won't be around then :( But here's some more

When CD entered the van she grinned because Jinny was obviously lost in a daydream. "Hey you." She put her hand on her shoulder, which startled Jinny.

Jinny jumped as CD took her place on the passenger side of the van. She said, "I didn't expect to see you back her for a while."

CD replied, "Well we thought Elly would be coming soon and I have best get back down here. So where were you just now?"

Jinny replied, "Just thinking." About that time Jin's phone rang. She took her phone and looked at it. The caller ID said the incoming call came from her fiance's cellphone. "I don't believe it. His phonebill is going to be horrendous."

CD chuckled. "You not gonna answer?"

"He said he's coming over anyways." She grinned smugly.

CD chuckled and motioned her to hand her the phone. Jinny smirked when she realized what CD was up to and handed her the phone.

CD cleared her throat and then answered the phone. "Hey baby" She purred seductively.

Teddy thought he had dialed the wrong number when he didn't hear his fiancé's voice on the other end, he replied, "Jinny there?"

CD replied, "Nah baby it is just you and me and from what I have heard from the one sided conversations tonight I think you will do just fine."

"Ehhh." Even more stunned at that Teddy contemplated what to say when he figured that maybe they had gotten that hooker and he was talking to her now, while she probably thought he was Nate. "I'm sorry, I think this is a misunderstanding..."

"Aww Teddy. Don't worry, Jinny isn't here." CD had put him on speaker and Jinny already enjoyed the prank so far. "She won't hear you."

Suddenly he recognized the voice. "CD?!? Is that you?"

"The one and only... who were you expecting darling, after all you called my number." She winked at Jinny who tried not to laugh.

"I did not!" He protested. "I called Jinny and I wanna talk to my fiancee now."

"Oh Teddy Teddy..." CD tried not to laugh herself. "Don't be scared. I know why you called me. You want me as much as I want you. You've been coming on to me for weeks already. Did you really think I didn't notice? But usually with Nate and Jinny there I could never say something. But now it's just you and me baby."

Teddy replied, "CD have you been drinking? Cause the only one that I am interested in is Jinny and I thought you were interested in Nate. What would he say if he knew you were talking to me like that?"

CD replied, "Well baby Nate is with a hooker."

Teddy replied, "When will Jin be back?"

"Ohhh don't worry, we have enough time." She smirked.

Teddy took a deep breath. "CD... really, I'm flattered... but I'm engaged to Jinny."

"I know that baby, don't worry, I won't tell her about our little secret." She purred.

"WE DON"T HAVE A LITTLE SECRET!" Teddy yelled.

"Oh my god, you don't wanna keep it secret? I'm not sure that's such a good idea... I mean we still have Nate and Jinny after all. And let's get real, I mean we can have a lot of fun together but that's just not the real thing, ya know? I'm so sorry that you feel that way but all I want from you is some fun." As CD said that Jinny had to put her hand over her mouth in order not to laugh. It was just hilarious how her poor Teddy was falling for the prank call.

Teddy said, No there can be no fun. I am a one woman man and all I want is my Jinny."

"Ooooh!" CD exclaimed. "Now I get it! You want a threesome!"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Teddy whined as he tried to think of something he could tell CD so she'd understand once and for all that he was not hitting on her.

At that point neither CD nor Jinny could hold it back anymore and burst out laughing.

Upon hearing that Teddy replied, "Hey what is going on?"

CD handed Jinny the phone again. "So you're hitting on CD whenever Nate and I aren't around, huh?" She asked, still laughing

Teddy replied, "JIN, NO YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME IT WAS THE OTHER WAY AROUND. CD WAS HITTING ON ME."

Jinny laughed even more at that. "No way. You're not even her type. And she told me that after Brian she'd never date another lawyer."

CD laughed herself and nodded. "Good point."

Teddy said, "I would never hit on anyone other than you. You should know that by now. You know you are the only one for me. I have not looked at another woman or seen another woman in that fashion since we started dating, Baby you more than satisfy everything in me. I don't need anyone else. I love you and only you."

"Awwww." Both CD and Jinny cooed at that.

"I love you too Teddy. And I know you wouldn't flirt with CD. Besided I heard it all." She laughed.

Teddy finally realized that they had played a trick on him. "So this was just a joke? Ha ha ha! Very funny." He muttered, not amused at all. "You know what, I'm not gonna call you again! And forget your coffee!" He angrily hung up.

CD looked at Jin as she said, "Sorry I didn't think he would get mad?"

"He isn't really mad. He just hadn't expected it... here wait." Jinny looked at her cellphone and started to count down, knowing Teddy better than he knew himself. "Three...two... one..." And the phone indeed rang again. "Yes?" She answered.

Teddy replied, "That was not in the least funny."

Jinny had to chuckle. "Yes it was."

Teddy replied, "SO let me get this right you don't mind other women coming on to me?"

"No no no, I don't mind CD pretenting that you're coming on to her, as a prank call after you called me and distracted me from my work every five minutes." She corrected him.

CD patted her shoulder. "Sorry Teddy, but it was hilarious." She called out before she climbed into the back of the van so Jinny and Teddy would have a little more privacy while she could watch the only guy she wanted.

Teddy replied, "Yeah really funny. I see where I stand, my fiancee could care less if one of her collegues comes on to her man."

"That depends on who of the collegues." Jinny laughed. "Had it been Magda..."

Teddy said, "And what if it had been Mag? Tell me what you would have done."

"Then I would have kicked her ass because in her case I'd know she wouldn't be just kidding." Jinny hissed.

Teddy replied, "A little bit of jealous rearing it's ugly head there Jin? So exactly what would you have done if Mag had made a play at me?" Teddy asked once again. Then as an afterthought he said "In detail."

"I would have made sure she'd never try again, and trust me, those are details you do not wanna hear..." She trailed off.

"Aww so you really would be jealous if someone came on to me?" He smiled.

"Yeah." She admitted.

Teddy walked upside the van as he saw Jinny sitting in the drivers side as he replied, "Glad to hear it, cause I know if someone came on to you I wouldn't like it and have to take care of the situation. By the way you look very pretty right now."

That last comment made her turn around and she saw him standing there and she hung up and opened the door.

Teddy helped her out of the van and into his arms, leaning back from the embrace to capture Jin's mouth with his own. The couple stood in the middle of the street getting reaccquainted with each other. She embraced him tightly and responded to his kiss eagerly.

CD smiled to herself. They were such a cute couple. When she saw the hooker walk into the room again she decided against calling Jinny back because she wanted to give them some more time together.

When the hooker walked into the room again she and Nate sat down at the table. "So what can you tell me?" He asked.

"I know he killed them. They wanted to quit, but he wouldn't let them... so he killed them." She said.

Nate was stunned to hear that. "How can you be so sure?" He asked.

"I saw it..." She swallowed.

CD watched in disbelief as the hooker was sitting there confessing to Nate that she had seen the whole thing.

"Nate, we need to take her to the station to make an official statement." CD told him over the headset upon hearing that.

Nate nodded and looked at Elly again. "Look, this changes the things a little. "You'll have to come with us to the station so we can get an official witness statement from you."

"B... but I..." She stammered. "He's going to kill me too!"

"No he will not. Listen to me. You can come with me right away, all we need is your official statement to get an arrest warrant. Then we will pick him up and he won't ever hurt you, or anybody else again, okay?"

"Okay." She swallowed and nodded and then left together with Nate.

CD left the van and cleared her throat to get the couple's attention.

Jinny heard CD clearing her throat, as Teddy continued exploring her mouth with his tongue. CD glanced at the couple as she once again cleared her throat as Nate and Elly walked up towards them with Elly looking over at Jinny and Teddy saying, "Maybe they should be using the room that we had."

Nate chuckled. "Oh don't worry about them. They don't need a room, they enjoy themselves wherever they are." He winked at CD who rolled her eyes.

Jinny and Teddy finally broke apart as she replied, "Hey I heard that."

CD reached into Nate's pocket and got the key to the room out.

"Hey!" He protested and Elly laughed.

Then CD handed the key to Jin. "Since the room is paid until tomorrow anyways... and seeing Nate and I have some more work coming up..."

Teddy grabbed the key as he replied, "Thanks, someone should get some use out of it."

"Exactly." Jinny grinned and slipped her hand into his and they walked inside together

CD and Nate watched as the couple rounded the corner hand in hand heading for the room, Nate replied, "I am sure it will be put to good use now."

CD nodded. "You can bet your arm on that."

"Newlyweds, huh?" Elly asked, motioning towards the couple.

"Not yet, but they're working on that." CD said and motioned at the van. "Let's get to the station, huh?"

Nate helped Elly into the back of the van as CD got into the driver's side of the van, Nate said, "The sooner we get your statement the sooner we can pick up the creep."

Elly asked when they arrived at the station, "What does this mean? He won't be able to hurt me will he?"

"No he won't" Both CD and Nate said. "Don't worry."

They soon had Elly's statement after that and then it didn't take much longer until they picked up the pimp again. With the new evidences they had they ended up breaking him and he confessed, while at the same time in a little motel room Jinny and Teddy celebrated their love until the morning came.

Celebrating their love was about everything both couples kept on thinking about for the next weeks, while everything else continued like it always did, they solved their cases and tried not to get caught by Kate or anybody else while they sneaked away to be alone.

Suddenly one morning Jinny woke up feeling queasy. She felt for her fiance's body next to her but the bed was empty. Then the smell of breakfast and coffee hit her and she realized he was in the kitchen. Unfortunately that smell made her feel even more sick and she rushed to the bathroom and had to throw up.

Teddy walked back to the bedroom as he went to wake up his finacee walking into the bedroom and finding the bed empty he went over to the bathroom door, slowly knocking on it as he turned the handle and found Jin on the floor with her back against the wall and a washcloth over her mouth.

"Uhh." She groaned and got up again and splashed some water into her face and rinsed her mouth with water.

Teddy was right by her side as he said, "Hey you okay?'

She nodded. "Yeah... I guess I should've done withou that second nacho yesterday for dinner." She uttered before starting to brush her teeth. "Don't worry." She mumbled, toothbrush in her mouth.

Teddy was rubbing her back as he said, "I love you Jin I will always worry about you. What say we climb back in bed and call in sick today? That way I can take care of you."

She grinned at him. "What? You'd actually skip a day of work, pretending to be sick just to be with me?"

"Of course I would. We could say that the place we had dinner at didn't sit well with us and we both have it." He gently stroked through her hair.

She nodded. "But I'm glad you don't have it. And I'm sure I don't really have anything either." She grinned. "Normally I'd just go to work... but I kinda like the idea of you pampering me around."

"So then it is settled, you call the Cap and I will call in and we can climb back in bed, with me at your beck and call all day long."

"Good plan" She kissed his cheek and then went back to bed and from there called Kate.

Teddy went and covered the food with tin foil, giving Jinny time to call in as he headed back to the bedroom crawling in beside Jinny, he said, "My turn." Reaching for the phone and dialing his boss number he listened for the phone to be picked up.

All the while Jinny kissed all along his jawline, making it hard for him to concentrate on talking to his boss. Jinny's hands started to roam along his chest as he said, "Um Harry yeah I am not feeling good." Jinny ran her hand lower as Teddy tried to listen to what his boss had to say. "Yeah... uh huh... bye." He said and quickly hung up, completely unaware of the last words spoken to him because he paid all of his attention to what was being done to him. "You're downright evil." He whispered with a grin. "I thought you're feeling sick?"

"I didn't feel well when I woke and when I smelled food it just made it worse." Jinny continued to caress his lower chest "Evil huh. Want me to show you how evil I can be."

"Oh yeah. Show me." He wiggled his eyebrows and smirked.

Jinny quickly took Teddy's mouth with hers as their tongues teased the other's Jinny climbed onto Teddy's lap as she caressed Teddy's bare chest with her hands stopping to pay close attention to the nipples going farther down his chest and reaching the bands of his boxers she slowly slid her hand inside finding what she was looking for and gently caressing his manhood.

He moaned and roamed his hands all over her body, arousing her as much as she was arousing him, glad they didn't have to leave the bed all day long.

At the same time across town CD walked in, slamming the door open, the noise causing everybody to look at her but she didn't give a damn. She walked over to her desk and slammed a black folder with the SFPD star on her desk.

Mag turned to look at CD as she sat in her chair with her back to Mag as she said, "Looks like someone got up on the wrong side this morning."

"Looks like somebody should better shut the **** up and not mess with me" She hissed back.

Mag turned around in her seat as she said, "Aren't we in a fine mood."

CD growled and broke a pencil apart.

"Uh oh... destructive mood even... Careful Mag." Raina looked at Mag as she said, "I don't think she wants to hear from us."

CD replied, "Can the peanut gallery shut up back there."

At that moment Nate entered and smiled at her as he handed her a cup of coffee. He had gotten it exactly like she loved.

CD took the cup as she took a sip and looked at Nate as she said, "You call that coffee?"

Nate frowned at that. "That's what the vendor declared it." He grinned, thinking she was joking.

CD looked up at Nate as she said, "Well he needs to be shot."

"What? Why? Come on, I got it exactly like you love it! And it's a helluva better than the brew up here." Nate motioned over to the coffee machines.

Kate came out into the bullpen as she said, "Listen up."

Magda and Raina looked up and at her.

Nate turned and took his seat with the look of hurt in his eyes he looked towards the Cap

CD threw the coffee in the trash as she spinned around in her seat

Kate looked at Raina and then back at CD for a second before turning back again. "alright. Jinny just called. She isn't feeling well today, thus Mag, you and Raina are teaming up for now." She handed them a file. "Drug deal gone wrong, two dead." Then she turned to CD and Nate and handed them a file too. "Domestic violence, the husband's in hospital and claims his wife beat him up and wanted to kill him." Cap looked at her inspectors as she said, "You have your assignments keep me informed."

CD turned around as she said, "I wonder if someone else called in sick also today."

Nate chuckled. "I bet." Then he looked at her worried. "And you? Are you okay? Is something bothering you?"

CD replied, "What the hell do you care for you can't even do a simple assignment like getting my coffee right."

He stared at her in disbelief. "Hey I know exactly how you like your coffee and I got exactly that!"

CD replied, "Yeah whatever that crap you tried to pass off as coffee was a farce."

He took a deep breath and ran his hand through his hair. "Okay, we'll stop at a Starbucks on our way to talk to the husband, okay?"

CD replied, "I guess it will have to do." Then she looked around and rummaged through stuff on her desk. "I'll drive... where do you have the damned keys?"

Nate replied, "Here take my set."

She snatched it from him and glared at him. "You better dig out mine again too."

Nate looked at his partner who he thought he knew as he wondered what she had done with her set as he said, "I will look when we get back."

"You better." She muttered and slammed the file against his chest before striding out.

Mag looked at Nate as he started to follow his partner as she said, "Looks like someone needs more than coffee to help with that disposition."

"What's wrong with her?" Raina asked, stopping Nate. "Did she get stood up on a date or something?"

Nate looked at his partners back going down the hall trying to go over what had transpired last night to see if he was to blame for any of this as he said, "Not to my knowledge. I have to run."

They frowned and watched him follow her. "I bet it's his fault somehow." Raina whispered.

Mag looked at Raina as she said, "How do you figure that?"

She shrugged. "He looked guilty... wonder what he did though."

Mag replied as she looked over their case, "Bet we won't ever find out that one. I was thinking maybe I should call Jin and see how she is doing."

Raina nodded and then Kate looked out of her office again. "Later..." Raina motioned at their boss. "We better go now"

Mag looks up to see Cap looking at them as she says, "Remind me to call when we get back."

Raina nodded. "Will do"

In the car CD and Nate meanwhile got stuck in traffic. She honked like crazy and then switched on lights and siren but it was useless they were stuck. She growled and glared at Nate. "Couldn't you have hurried up for once in your life?"

Nate looked at his partner as he said, "I was right behind you."

"I had to wait for you!" She glared and then had enough of the waiting, honked again, got out of the car and yelled "SFPD! MOVE IT!" And then fired one shot into the air. That scared the people and finally they cleared the street a little. "Now was that so hard?" CD said as she started the engine again.

Nate looked out the window as he said, "Was that really called for CD? I mean no one is dying here."

"I hate being stuck in traffic." She honked at a pedestrian who jumped out of the way as she raced around a corner

Nate quickly checked to see if his seat belt was secure as he said, "What is wrong sweetie? This is not like you."

She sighed and stopped at the hospital. Suddenly she started to cry. "I know... I don't know... everything seems to piss me off today."

Nate undid his seatbelt as he scooted over closer to CD to take her in his arms while she cried on his shoulder he said, "Since we are here maybe you should have a doctor check you out to see if you have a flu bug or something. But we will get thru it together."

She took a deep breath and wiped her tears away again and then pushed him aside. "You think I'm pissed because I have the flu? God. Men!" She grolwed and glared at him. "I'm fine! All I have is a bad day! Now am I not allowed to have a bad day anymore now or what?" With that she stormed out of the car, slamming the door shut.

Nate cringed. 'I don't think she ever PMSed like this before.' He thought to himself as he followed her to interrogate their victim.

Mag and Raina walked into the division again as Raina said, "I am just reminding you that you wanted to call and check up on Jinny."

Mag replied, "Yeah thanks." Sitting down at her desk she called Jinny's number as the phone rang.

At the apartment the phone kept on ringing as Teddy moved his manhood inside of Jinny one last time as they both climaxed together letting the phone continue to ring.

Raina looked at Mag as she held the phone to her ear as she continued to let the phone ring. Raina asked, "No answer?"

Mag replied, "Jinny is a sound sleeper."

Back at the apartment Teddy and Jinny were laying together after the wonderful lovemaking as the phone continued to ring the two lovers trying to catch their breath as Teddy said, "Someone doesn't know that when no one answers then no one wants to talk do they?"

Jinny said "Apparently not” reaching for the phone she finally answered panting into the phone, "Do you like to let the phone ring for like forever?"

Mag replied, "Knowing how sound of a sleeper you are then yes. But with the way you sound I would say you weren't sleeping. What have you been up to Jin?"

Jinny grinned at Teddy. "I'd tell ya Mag, but knowing you, it'd freak the marrow outta your bones."

Magda growled at that. "That was SO not funny!"

Jinny replied, "Yes it was. Why did you call for?" Her breathe was back to normal now as she layed beside Teddy.

"I wanted to hear how you are... are you actually sick or were you just... ya know..." She cleared her throat.

Teddy gently kissed her along her jawline and stroked through her hair meanwhile.

"Horny is the word Magda." Jinny laughed. "But I was really feeling unwell."

Mag replied, "So let me get this straight you were feeling unwell and now you are feeling ya know."

Jinny replied, "What is so hard for you to say the word mag it is horny and yes that is about the extent of it."

"Jinny!" Magda blushed over there.

"H-O-R-N-Y... horny." Jinny laughed as she spelled it out for her.

Mag replied, "Thanks I do know how to spell."

Teddy continued to caress Jinny's hair as he started his way down her neck kissing it as he went.

Jinny chuckled and gave Teddy a quick kiss. "So Magda, was that all? Because my fiance has just the cure for my disease"

Mag replied, "Since you put it that way I guess. I am glad you are feeling better, just one quick question what is the cure for your disease?"

Jinny burst out laughing hard at that and handed Teddy the phone because she couldn't control her laughter anymore.

Teddy said, "What am I supposed to do with this?"

Jinny rolled on her side laughing so hard that she couldn't talk. She pointed at it continueing to laugh.

Teddy chuckled. "It's called telephone and was invented by Alexander Graham Bell"

"HELLOOOO?" Magda called out. "Jinny?"

Teddy replied, "No Teddy."

"What the hell has gotten into my partner? And what cure is she talking about?" Magda asked him.

Teddy had a hard time with this as he now knew what Jinny was laughing so hard about. He composed himself as he said, "Your partner is just fine and in good hands if you know what I mean. The cure is, how do I put this, being with her fiance if you know what I mean."

Magda frowned. "Meaning what?"

Teddy looked at his fiancee who had now rolled onto her back still having to cover her mouth as he shook his head he replied, "You know Mag being intimate with your fiancee, you know when a man and a woman make love to one another until they have an orgasm and fall into bliss in each others arms. You should try it some time."

At that Magda growled and just slammed down the phone. "Jerk!" She mutterd and ignored Raina's questioning look.

Jinny still laughed hard but suddenly jumped up and dashed to the bathroom.

Teddy quickly got up and followed his fiancee to the bathroom as Jinny was again throwing up. Teddy leaned down besides JInny rubbing her back as he held her hair back as she got sick yet again. Teddy waited until Jinny had finished as he said, "Maybe we should go see a doctor."

She growled as she rinsed her mouth again. "I don't wanna"

Teddy watched as she brushed her teeth yet again thinking about it as he said “okay we can compromise, if you don't throw up any more then we won't go, but if you get sick one more time we go to the doctor, deal?"

"Deal." She muttered before spitting out the toothpaste again.

As they walked back to the bed Teddy said, "maybe we should get some rest."

Jinny replied, "Rememeber it is my beck and call day. I don't want rest I want some more of that cure."

Teddy chuckled and kissed her forehead. "Later baby. Right now you really should get some rest. I'll make ya a tea"

Jinny replied, "Do I have to?"

Teddy repliled, "Yeah you have to. You need to get something in your system since you havent kept anything down you need to try and tea is a good thing to start with.”

Jinny sighed but nodded. "Fiiiiiiiiiiiiine." She climbed back in bed as she said, "Sure would be nice to have a strong hansome man in here with me."

Teddy grinned. "I'll be back with the tea and then climb into bed with you again."

Jinny smirked back at him. "You? Hey I said strong and handsome... maybe I should ask CD if she's gonna borrow Nate to me for today." She teased him.

Teddy said, "Yeah Yeah, I will show you strong and handsome."

"Come and show me!" She purred, wanting him to forget that damn tea. She was already feeling sick again anyways.

Teddy looked at his fiancee laying there in bed and sighed as he walked over towards the bed looking down at her as he was about to get into bed as Jin jumped up and ran towards the bathroom again. Teddy following behind her. "Honey that isn't funny anymore." He sighed as he held her hair out of her face again. "We're gonna go see a doctor."

Jinny didn't like those words but there wasn't much she could say as she was still sick and she had made a deal. She knew he wouldn't let it rest til she did.

She stopped throwing up again and sighed. "I really feel awful."

"I'm so sorry honey, but you'll get medicine soon." Teddy wished he could be sick instead of her. He felt terrible watching her like this.

"So you think the doctor will give me medicine to take this away?" She sighed.

"He better. If not I'll beat him up, okay?" He kissed her temple.

"Thanks so I guess there is no getting out of this I need to go to the doctor guess I better call and see if I can get an appointment." She gave him a puppy look, hoping to change his mind about the doctor after all.

Teddy shook his head and led her back to the bed. "You sit down and wait here. I'll make that call."

Jinny sat down as Teddy picked up the phone and called the doctor to get an appointment. She didn't know what was wrong with her, the only thing she could think of was what she ate last night. She had never felt like this before even when she was drinking she never threw up this much.

A moment later Teddy came back. "You're lucky. We can come right away."

Jinny replied, "Oh lucky me."

Teddy chuckled at her enthuisiasm... or the lack of it rather. He helped his fiancee get ready to go see the doctor, the sooner the better he thought he really didn't like to see her like this. To bad he couldn't take it from her so she wouldn't have to suffer.

After they were done with their interrogation Nate was too scared to as much as pipe up. So neither of them said another word until they reached the felony division again.

Magda saw them walk in and smiled. "How'd it go?"

CD replied, "Why do you have to stick your nose in everyone's business, don't you have your own case you are supposed to be working on? I can see why Jinny called in sick today you can be so annoying."

Magda blinked at that. "Hey whoa... is it bitch around day or what?" She couldn't understand why everybody was jumping at her throat.

Nate looked at Mag as he said, "Sorry."

CD went right into her face and smiled sweetly. "Magda..."

"Yeah?" Magda was awaiting an apology now.

"F U C K Y O U!!!!!" CD yelled and glared at her before storming off into the ladies room.

"HEY!" Magda called after her and pointing at her. "That was NOT nice!"

Nate sighed. "THAT was the nicest I've heard from her so far today."

Mag replied, "What is up her ass?'

Nate shrugged. "If only I knew..." He was determined to find out though. Knowing that whenever he was upset chocolate helped a little bit at least, he got some out of the vending machine for her and with that in his hand walked into the ladies' room as well and held it out to her smiling broadly.

CD looked at Nate as she said, "What the hell is that?"

"A little bit of chocolate for my favorite partner in the whole world." He grinned.

CD looked at the chocolate Nate held in his hand and asked, "And exactly what is that supposed to do for me?"

"Uhhh welll... see first you unwrap it... like this..." he did that and then held out just the chocolate. "And now you can eat it." He smiled.

"How about I unwrap you and shove it up your ass?" She glared at him.

Nate looked at CD as he said, "What did I do? I know chocloate helps me when I am feeling down or anything, not saying you are but I thought I would get you some chocolate cause you are such a caring person and all and you deserve it."

CD smiled at him. "Thanks Nate, that's sweet." She took the chocolate from him and squished it between her hands so it was melting.

Nate frowned at that but before he could say something her hands were all over his face, smearing him with the chocolate.

Nate still couldn't believe CD was smearing him with chocolate right there in the ladies room where anyone could walk in at any time

CD grinned and then washed her hands and walked out again

Nate was stunned at what had just transpired there in the ladies room as he looked up into the mirror to see choclate all over his face.

Durn CD is a major b*tch!....I would have to stay out of her way...poor Nate though...how could she be mean to someone as cute as him??!!?!?.....

At that moment Kate walked into the ladies' room and the first thing she saw was Nate, with chocolate all over his face. "Something in this picture is just wrong" She muttered.

Nate jumped back when he saw cap walk in. "Hey Cap sorry I know this is the ladies room. Give me a minute and I will be out."

"How about telling me why you're IN here in the first place." She frowned. "And is that chocolate?"

Nate looked at his face as he replied, "Yes it is chocolate and the reason I am in here is CD was in here and I was bringing her a chocolate bar since she was in a mood all day long and I thought it might help. Big mistake I see."

"CD did that?" Kate asked stunned. This was getting weirder by the minute.

"Yes she is the one responsible for it. I guess she doesn't like chocolate." He shrugged.

"I think I should have a talk with her." Kate sighed. "Everybody's complaining about her today. Even Magda and Raina."

"I think she got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning Cap really she is just not herself today." Nate tried to defend her.

“I think everybody noticed that." Kate said and walked out looking for CD

Nate hurried up and cleaned his face as he wanted to make sure CD was alright after the Cap got thru talking to her.

Kate found CD at her desk again. "Have a minute?" She asked nicely.

"Why?" CD hissed. "And no."

"In my office! NOW!" She gave her a stern look.

Nate walked into the division as CD was walking into Cap's office he asked, "What is going on?"

"CD's gonna hear what she deserves to hear." Magda said and grinned.

Nate looked at Mag as she said, "Maybe she isn't the only one that needs to hear it." As he turned and walked over to his desk

Mag rolled her eyes at that. "Jesus... what's wrong with everybody today dammit?"

Meanwhile in the office CD sat down but instead of looking at Kate, she inspected her fingernails.

Kate looked at CD as she inspected her fingernails, waiting to get her full attention she cleared her throat.

CD looked up at her for a split second but turned back to her nails again. "I think I'm gonna paint em black."

Kate looked at CD as she said, "Mind telling me what is wrong today, I have been told by a few that you snapped at them. And black doesn't suit you."

"Hmmm maybe a dark red then. Or blue?" She looked up at Kate again. "yeah, blue is nice."

Kate looked at CD as she said, 'YOu are avoiding what is bothering you so spill."

"NOTHING IS BOTHERING ME GODFUKKENDAMMIT!" She jumped up. "No wait, that's not true. YOU are bothering me! All of you people!"

Kate stood up as she said, "CANDANCE SIT DOWN NOW."

CD glared at her and demonstrately sat down on the ground at that.

Kate looked at her inspector before she said, "I don't know what is up or going on with you but if this is the way you have been acting I can see why all your fellow inspectors are upset about it. You need to get it together and now. Do you understand?"

"Or what? You gonna fire me?" CD laughed.

Kate looked at CD as she pondered what CD had said as she walked around to the front of her desk her glasses in her hand she said, "No you are not fired but you are suspended for 3 days, that should be enough time for you to think about what has transpired here today."

"WHAT?" CD jumped up again. "Everybody here is bitching at ME and I get suspened? Are you out of your fukking mind you bitch?"

Kate looked at CD as she replied, "We can always make it longer if you like." Stunned that she had actually called her a bitch, and now absolutely sure that something was wrong with her. It was like CD’s evil twin had come to work instead of her today.

"Go to hell!" CD glared at her, stormed out, slammed the door shut behind her, grabbed her jacket and stormed out of the bullpen as well.

Nate saw that, looked at Kate's office and then ran after CD "HEY!" He caught up with her. "where are you going?"

CD said, "What does it matter. The Cap suspended me for three days. So I am out of here."

"She what?” Nate gasped. "Why?"

CD looked at Nate as she said, "You really didn't know about this?"

"What? Of course not! I mean.. you are having a bad day... but that isn't reason enough to suspend you!" He said angrily.

"Well I guess calling her a bitch didn't help." CD sighed.

Nate said, "You didn't?"

"I did." She smiled shyly.

Nate replied, "I wish I could have seen that. I dont' think anyone has talked back to her like that."

"Nate, it scares me" She sighed. "I mean you know me, I state my opinion no matter what, and I don't have a problem telling somebody what they deserve to hear... but the way I acted in there, in Kate's office... god that was some bitch whose ass I'd kick to the moon. And I don't mean Kate with that now."

Nate said, "CD honey I am so sorry. Just tell me what I can do to help?"

"Nothing." She sighed. "I'm sorry about the stuff with the chocolate earlier... I have no idea why I did that."

Nate said, "I just want to help make everything a little better."

"Thanks, that's cute." She smiled at him. "But I think I'm just gonna go home, snuggle up in my bed again and get some sleep."

”Want me to drive you and tuck you in?" He grinned.

She smirked. "Hmmm, that sounds tempting."

"But you wouldn't get any sleep then, would you? I will come over after work and check on you." He smiled back at her.

"Awww." She pouted. "But I want you to tuck me in now!"

"You know exactly you wouldn't let me go again then, and getting Kate even angrier would be a bad idea right now I'm afraid." He sighed.

At that tears started to stream out of CD's eyes again. She didn't even know why and wasn't able to control it either. "But I want you to tuck me in!" She sobbed.

Nate took CD in his arms as she shed tears in his shirt as he said, Fine I will let Cap know I think it is best if I drive you home.

CD grinned at that. "Okay! I'll wait in the car."

He smiled at her. "I'll be right back then."

"Nate?" CD sniffed.

"Yeah?" He turned around again.

"You still have some of that chocolate?" She smiled at him.

Nate laughed and quickly got another one out of the machine, bowed and held it out to her. "Milady."

CD rolled her eyes. "Dork." But she took the candy.

Nate smiled as he headed for the Cap’s office knowing that his lady was better for now, still concerned what was wrong with her though. He walked into Cap’s office as he said, "Cap I think I should drive CD home and make sure she gets there all right. I will be back after."

Kate looked up. "She will get there just fine. Nate, I'm really worried about her, do you know what happened that upset her so much?"

Nate replied, "Not a clue and since I have no partner can I take my lunch now then?"

"That you're gonna spend on driving her home..." Kate said but nodded. "Take your time... maybe she'll tell you what's going on."

"Thanks Cap and yes I am going to spend on driving her home to make sure she gets there fine. If I find out anything I will let you know." He said but knew that should he find something out it would depend on what that was if he’d tell anybody or not. He’d never abuse CD’s trust.

Kate nodded at him and looked back down at the files on her desk to dismiss him.

Nate hurried past Mag and Raina's questioning eyes as he hurried to take his sweetie home and tuck her in.

CD didn't even make a pass at him and straight went to bed, yawning. Nate tucked her in and kissed her forehead. "Aww you're tired huh?"

She nodded. "I want a lullaby!"

Nate chuckled. "Very funny. And here I thought you'd want me..." He winked at her.

CD shook her head. "I want a lullaby!"

"You're serious." Nate realized and smiled at her. "Hmmm..." Then he started to humm and for the first time in his life sang for a woman.

Meanwhile Teddy and Jinny had arrived at the doctor’s. Teddy walked up to the window and said, "Jinny Exstead to see Dr. Crenshaw."

The nurse nodded. "Sit down for a moment please."

Teddy turned and took the seat next to Jin's as he rubbed her back

Jinny groaned and looked at him. "I already feel way better! Can't we just go home again?" She whined. "I want you in my bed and not some stupid doctor!"

Teddy replied, "Sweetie you have thrown up since you got up this morning and you haven't been able to keep anything down we need to find out what is causing this. I am really worried and I can't stand to see you hurting like this."

"I'm not hurting, I'm just..." With that she jumped up and ran into the ladies room, having to throw up again

Teddy followed anyways not caring who was in there he wanted to be there for her when she needed him.

When Jinny was done again she glared at him, mad for having to throw up again. "DAMMIT!"

"Sweetie I wish I could take that all away and be the one that is sick. I really don't like to see you this way, I would do anything to keep you from any of this." He sighed.

"I know baby." She sighed and her name was called out over the speakers. "I guess that's us."

The couple got up as Jinny rinsed her mouth and arm in arm they made their way to the receptionist

Teddy said, "Jinny Exstead here."

She showed them the room and they sat down there and then the doctor entered. “So what seems to be the matter?”

"She has been throwing up all day long” Teddy answered.

Jinny growled. "I feel better!"

"I see, when did this start?" He looked through his chart.

"You had to vomit like five minutes ago!" Teddy protested worried.

Jinny shrugged. "I felt unwell for a while, but the puking started this morning."

"What do you mean when you say unwell?" He looked up at them again.

"Queasy kinda" She shrugged.

"And why the hell didn't you tell me that?" Teddy asked.

"I didn't want to worry you, cause I threw up a few times. We are sitting in a doctor's office. About a month or so." She answered.

"You should have told me! I'm your fiance!" He said.

"Yeah and I threw up three times and I am where what would have happened if I had told you?" She slightly glared at him.

“I would have... I don't know... done something! Anything!" He sighed.

The doctor chuckled, already having a hunch about what was going on there with this couple. He cleared his throat.

"Teddy I know you worry about me and that is why I didn't say anything I thought it was nothing." Jinny smiled at him again.

"Well, how about we run some tests with you, huh?" The doc smiled at them.

"Do you know what it could be doc?” Teddy asked worried.

"I might be able to tell you in a short while." He said.

Jinny said, "I think it was what I ate last night."

"I think the test will let us know what it is." He smiled.

She nodded. "Okay, run your damn test"

"The nurse will draw some blood and I would like a urine sample also." He said.

"I don't have to pee!" Jinny protested.

"Fine is that all?" She growled.

"We will see what those test produce and go from there." The doc said. He did the test and sent Jinny and Teddy out to wait for the results.

Jinny looked at Teddy and said, "How long is this going to take I can think of better things to be doing."

Teddy chuckled. "Hell baby, what is it with you today? I mean I know I'm irresistable... but today, whoa.”

"I can't explain it that is all that seems to be on my mind today and hey I didn't think you would complain about it.” She smirked at him.

"I'm not complaining!" He grinned. "I'm gonna have a heartattack by the end of the day cause you're wearing me out, but hell, it'll be worth it!"

"Oh I am wearing you out huh? You haven't seen anything yet when we blow this place I will show you." She smirked.

Teddy laughed and then the doctor called them again.

"Well doc what is the verdict?" Jinny asked annoyed.

He smiled at them. "Well congratulations, you're pregnant."

"Excuse me what was that you said?" Jinny was shocked.

He grinned. "I said you're having a baby."

Teddy was in shock. "A real baby? With arms and legs and everything? In there?" He pointed at Jinny.

"Yep that would be what she is having." He chuckled.

"Wow" Teddy was overwhelmed. "A real live baby that we created is growing inside of Jin?"

Jin was in shock as she said, "How could that happen?"

He nodded at Teddy and then looked at Jinny. "Well I'm assuming the two of you had sexual intercourse?"

"I know how a baby is made doc I just don't know how this happened we always used protection." She still couldn’t believe it.

"Did we, really?" Teddy asked. "I mean I know we usually thought about that, but can you be sure we always did? I mean after all we did... and a lot... and everywhere and..." He blushed.

Jinny looked at Teddy blushing as she thought about what he said, "I guess you are right. I know we thought about it but did we actually use it?"

The doc looked at the couple as he said, "When was your last period Jinny?"

Jinny frowned. "Uuh.... like..." She counted back.

"A educated guess?" the doc asked.

"Too long ago." She sighed as she realized that.

The doc shook his head as he said, "How long is too long?"

Teddy at that point just grinned madly and it eventually really sunk in. He jumped up. "Oh my god! A BABY!"

The doc looked at the couple as he said, "Yes a baby and we can do a ultrasound that will show just within a week or two how far along you are."

Jinny grinned and nodded as she put her hands over her belly. "I still can't believe this!"

The doc cleared his throat as he said, "Would you like an ultrasound?"

"Yes please." Jinny nodded and smiled at Teddy.

"Yeah, but hang on!" Teddy said and kneeled down in front of Jinny and kissed her stomach. "Hey you in there. I'm your daddy."

The doc said, "I will have Marcie bring in the equipment" as he watched the happy couple in front on him.

Jinny rested her hand on Teddy as they prepared to see thier child for the first time.

Teddy grinned at her. "Isn't this the most amazing incredible thing ever?"

Jinny saw the love in Teddy's eyes already for the baby they had created, she replied, "Yes Teddy the most incredible thing."

He kissed her full of love and held her tight to him.

Nate walked into the Division again and knocked at Kate's office before entering "Hey." He said.

"Hey" She smiled back. "How's CD?"

"Asleep." He smiled. "I think she was just a little stressed out and needed a break."

"That's good to know." Kate said and motioned him to sit down.

"So what do you want me to do all day long since my partner is suspended? And don't you dare consider putting me with the gossip girls out there!" He motioned at Raina and Magda who were giggling about something.

Kate looked at him and chuckled. "Well to be honest I'm surprised that you didn't take the next days off already...."

Nate looked up at the Cap before he replied, "So you are saying I can have the next few days off also? Am I understanding you correctly, and do I have to take vacation time?"
Kate chuckled. "Well unless you'll have to call in sick as well... I mean apparently there's something contagious going around at the moment, first Inspector Exstead and ADA Blumenthal, then Inspector DeLorenzo..." she hadn't officially suspended CD but just wrote it off as sick leave. "Wouldn't surprise me if another Inspector would get sick as well..."

Nate replied, "So Teddy also called in sick? And I can just say I am not feeling well and be out of here like that?"

Kate slighty rolled her eyes and leaned over her desk. "This is where you should start to cough dramatically and hurry off." She whispered and leaned back into her chair again.

Nate put his hand over his mouth as he started coughing and slowly rose from his seat as he says, "I will call you later if I am not feeling better."

Kate chuckled and nodded as he hurried off.

Mag and Raina watched as Nate went over to his desk picking up his messages before leaving the division.

Raina asked, "Wonder what that is all about?"

Mag replied, "Well we can always go ask and find out."

Raina nodded and she raised and walked into Kate's office. "What's going on here today?"

"Yeah, where is everybody going?" Magda asked.

Kate chuckled. "The flu is going around it seems." Then she gave them a stern look. "But you two better not catch that!"

Raina said, "There sure is a lot of sickness going around here for a certain few people, wonder where they caught it at. What would happen if we were to catch this flu?"

"In that case I hope that Captain Bears of Traffic Control won't be too upset that his two new Inspectors will start their duty at their new division with sick leave." Kate glared at them .

Magda growled. "Pah, flu... sounds more like a STD to me..."

“STD?” Raina asked frowning.

“That stands for sexually transmitted disease.” Mag explained.

“Ooooh.” Raina blushed.

Kate sat in her chair her hand on her glasses that she held loosely between her finger and thumb as she carefully chose her words before replying to the silliness of the last statement that came out of one of her inspector's mouth. She laid her glasses on the desk as she stood up walking around to the front of her desk leaning back against the desk she replied, "I know you are not talking about your fellow co-workers now are you? Cause it would be a shame to have to put a couple of inspectors working on the street as hookers now wouldn't it."

They both growled at that and left Kate’s office again. "I don't even get the STD joke... I mean Teddy and Jinny, sure, but CD and Nate..." then Raina realized. "Oh my god, you think CD is sleeping with Teddy as well while Jinny is hitting the sheets with Nate? Teddy and Jinny cheat on each other? How sick!"

Magda sighed. "Jinny has always been a slut. No wonder that Teddy turned to the secondbest slut he came across after Jinny then..."

“CD’s a slut as well?” Raina asked gasping.

Magda nodded. “You have no idea.”

Raina replied, "So you don't think they are having a foursome do you?"

Magda shuddered at that. "SICK!"

Raina replied, "You are the one that said they could be doing each other and all. I mean Jinny and Teddy are engaged."

"That doesn't mean anything." Magda said.

'You must know.' Kate thought to herself. She had just walked out again.

Raina thought for a moment as she said, "CD and Nate are only partners, aren't they?"

Magda nodded. "Yeah, of course! I mean come on, if they were more than partners you and I would have noticed by now!"

Raina nodded. "True."

Raina replied, "Maybe it is just the flu is all? Or they all ate at someplace that made them sick, I don't think it could be anything else."

Mag said, "Of course not like they are pregnant or anything."

"At least not both of them" Raina nodded. "I mean Jin, that's possible. CD, that isn't."

Mag replied, "That is true, I suppose Jin could be but that seems unlikely cause she is one that always uses protection."

Kate growled as she walked up to them. "Could you stop discussing your fellow officers' ways of birth control and get to work now? Or else you'll be the ones needing protection when you're undercover as hookers!"

Raina looked at Mag before replying "Yes Cap."

Mag nodded and agreed and the two of them quickly started to work their case again.

The doctor started the ultrasound by putting gel on Jinny's belly. She giggled at that. "Hey that tickles and is cold!!!!"

Teddy watched while the doctor took the end of this thing that looked like a scanner and lay it on the gel that had been applied to Jinny's stomach, moving it around in circular motion, pushing down a little as he went. Teddy didn't think that could be good for the baby as he said, "Are you sure pushing on her stomach like that is good for the baby?"

"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. I'm not pushing too hard." He reassured him

The nurse smiled to herself knowing that most fathers got overly protective of their children even though the child couldn't feel what the doctor was doing, just then the Doctor came across an image.

"Is that..." Jinny stammered still stunned.

Teddy couldn't believe his eyes at what he saw on on the screen, there in front of him was a image of their child that Jinny and he had created, as he said, "Wow that is our child?"

"Yes it is." The doctor nodded and pointed everything out to them and said, "Sorry to say but it is to early to tell the sex, but I can tell you are 6 weeks pregnant."
Jinny grinned again and pointed at the screen "Hey little pooper."

Teddy replied, "6 weeks that means that the baby was concieved the day I proposed to you."

"Wow...." Jinny said. She hadn't thought about that yet. "Perfect timing huh?" She grinned. "And we really didn't think about protection after that I suppose."

Teddy blushed as the doctor said, "Apparently not."

Jinny blushed as well. "Uhmmm, can we get a print of that?" She wanted to show it everybody and couldn't even understand why.

Teddy said, "Can you possibly make a video for us also and a couple of prints, I am sure all the grandparents will want them along with one for each of us. When can we tell what the sex of the child is? Can we still make love or is that you know? What about Jinny's job? She is a cop." He had a million questions.

Jinny growled at that. "The baby will be born with gun and handcuffs because I'm a cop."

The doctor looked at the couple before him then stated, "Yes I can make a video and several photos, as for when we can tell the sex of the baby in about 10 weeks if not longer, sometimes the baby hides the fact from us. As for making love that is fine up into the last couple of months sometimes the last month is when we say, depending on the couple, as for Jinny's job she can continue with her job til the last three months and then I would prefer she rode a desk."

"If I have to" Jinny growled. She hated riding the desk.

"Yes you have to!" Both the doc and Teddy said.

Jin growled, "Fine I guess, anything else?"

"What about food?" Teddy asked. "Does she need a special diet?"

The doctor replied, "You need to start taking vitamins and I need to see you once a month until you get closer to your due date. as for food she can pretty much eat anything she wants and get away with is since she is pregnant, but I would suggest eating 6 small meals a day."

"Now THAT sounds good to me." She smirked.

"What about Jalapenos?" Teddy asked. "Isn't that too hot for the baby?"

The doctor looked at Teddy as he said, "Why do you ask, and there shouldn't be a problem if eatien in moderation."

"Because she eats those things like popcorn." He rolled his eyes at that and got elbowed by Jinny.

"They're good!" She pouted.

Teddy said, "Somtimes they are good."

Jin replied, "I don't see you complaining when you have your tongue in my mouth afterwards."

The doc had to chuckle at that. "Anyways, she can eat pretty much everything she wants, even if it seems weird to others. Any other questions?" He asked as he started with the video

Teddy looked at Jin before he said, "Are you sure making love won't hurt the baby?"

"I am sure." He nodded.

"Honey, you ARE well equipped but I doubt it's..." Jinny started.

"Okay okay...." Teddy quickly shut her up.

The doctor smirked as he watched the couple looking at the screen holding each other's hand in awe of the life that they had created. He smiled and then handed them the video and printouts. "I'll see you again next month then?"

"We will be here." Teddy replied as he helped Jin sit up, turning back to the doctor he said, "Is there anything she can take for her nausea."

The doctor nodded. "There's a herbal tea that helps most of my patients..."

"Herbal?" Jinny made a face at that. "Next thing he wants to sell me a joint and peace on earth."

"JINNY!" Teddy sighed.

The doctor replied, "If you don't like herbal then you could try eating a piece of dry toast or crackers before getting out of bed every morning and amke sure to eat 6 small meals a day."

"Yeah yeah." She sighed.

The doctor smiled, "After you have nasuea enough you might change your mind on that one."

Jinny groaned at that. "You're mean!"

"Is the nausea gonna end at some time?" Teddy asked.

“Some women have it thru the entire pregnancy and some have it for the first trimester only." He answered.

Jinny groaned at that.

Teddy replied, "We will try that herbal tea, thanks doc."

"Can we go home now?" Jinny whined

The doctor replied, "You should stop and fill your prescription and start taking them today and you need to start drinking more milk."

"Okay." Jinny nodded. Even if she was complaining about some things, she'd do anything for their baby

Teddy and Jinny joined hands as they walked out of the office and towards the car, Teddy said, "A baby."

"In here." Jinny nodded and put her other hand on her belly and then started to laugh. "Oh god, can you believe that? ME having a baby?"

Teddy replied, "I can, jsut a little sooner than planned."

"Excuse me? PLANNED?" She looked at him shocked. "That wasn't planned at all!"

Teddy replied, "Not this soon, but we are engaged and getting married and what do married couples do?"

"Watch TV instead of have sex?" She smirked at him.

Teddy reached out with his free hand as he opened the car door helping Jinny into the car as he replied, "Us watch TV that will be the day."

She laughed at that. "Yeah really. I mean, the baby thing... that shocked me... but I can't say that I'm completely taken by surprise. Thinking back that was bound to happen sooner or later."

Teddy replied, "Yeah I guess we have both forgotten about protection, and we are getting married. Oh one thing we need to now break the baby to your dad and my parents."

"And Casey...and the gang." She nodded.

"So who do we tell first?" He asked.

"Well if we tell Raina we won't have to tell anybody else." She laughed.

"That is true, but I was thinking let’s keep it to ourselves today and go home after stopping at the drugstore and getting the meds and celebrate." He smiled at her.

"That definitely." She nodded. "And tomorrow... your family, dad and Case, then CD and Nate, Kate, Magda and if we really have to... on second thought... we don't have to tell Raina. She'll find out soon enough."

"Yeah or we could just tell them all at once in the bullpen in the morning and get it over with." He chuckled.

“I like the whole tell em all at once thing.” Jinny said and got in the car. “Besides my dad and your parents don’t even know yet that we’re engaged. We probably should officially announce that as well.”

“Good point.” Teddy nodded. “How about we throw a dinner party at the Anchorside, invite them all and tell them the news?”

“Sounds great to me.” She leaned over and kissed his cheek before he drove off.

They spent the rest of the day celebrating and started to plan that dinner.

Nate meanwhile went back to CD’s. She was still asleep when he got there and he snuggled close to her and soon fell asleep himself.

In the next morning he woke up first and then surprised her with breakfast in bed.

“Hey sleeping beauty.” He whispered into her ear. “Wake up baby.”

“Hmmmmm.” She slightly growled but then opened her eyes and smiled at him. “Hey you. Since when are you here?”

He smiled and gently kissed her as he climbed back into bed with her. “Sometime yesterday afternoon. I suddenly felt sick when I was back at work...” He smirked at her.

She made a face. “Great, you feel sick and come here so I get it too or what?” She growled.

“I’m not really sick.” He rolled his eyes. “But thanks for the sympathy.”

That made her grin. “So you’re skipping work to watch me sleep? How cute.”

He chuckled. “Well to be honest I was hoping for more than just watching you.”

She laughed. “We’ll see about that one.”

“I can’t wait.” He whispered and stole another kiss from her before he started to feed her.

After they were done with breakfast they spent the better part of the day in bed. Now they were in her livingroom though, he was watching a footballgame on TV while CD sat in front of her computer, checking her emails, deleting countless forwards from Raina and Magda. "This is so annoying! I keep on telling them to stop sending me these damn chain letters. But noooo." She growled. "Especially, I mean, Raina, she sends it to everyone. So why the hell does Magda have to send it to everyone too then? Can't she see Raina already spammed us with it?" Usually she really just deleted them, she had no idea why it pissed her off so much today.

"Uh huh." Nate said. He was paying a little more attention to the game right now, even though he had been listening. But he couldn't see the big deal. He got all these mails too and some were even funny, and he knew CD thought so too. But apparently the latest one had been one of the 'plain annoying' category again. Commercials started and he turned around and smiled at her. "Hey come here." He patted the couch next to him.

"Just a sec, I'm almost done here. I wanna see if there are new spoilers about that funny cop show that I love." She smiled at him.

"The one with that hot chick? Boston Grace?" He smirked.

She rolled her eyes. "Yeah that one."

"Oh come on, you know I like you way better than some actress on TV." He looked at her, full of adoration. She had no idea just how much she meant to him. "Besides, the actress is married I think, and the gal on the show, she's sleeping with that other cop, right? What's his name? Russel Don't?"

She had to chuckle at that. "Russel Don't? His name is Russel, yeah."

"Well she always calls him Russel Don't." He smirked at her. "Russel don't get nuts! Russel don't hurt anyone!" He quoted and was glad she laughed.

"You know what? Maybe I should start calling you Nate Don't." She loved to tease him.

"I think 'Nate whoa yeah'is perfect already." He winked at her and smirked.

She rolled her eyes again. "Bite me!"

He laughed. "Come here and I will."

"Oh shut up! Your game is starting again anyways." She pointed at the TV and turned to look at the computerscreen again.

He blew her a kiss and turned back again himself. She hadn't seen that anymore though.

A little while later she switched off the computer and sat down on the couch with him, but at the other end. He figured she was playing hard to get and teased him a little more because of their playful banter earlier so he scooted over and wrapped his arm around her shoulders and kissed her cheek. "Want me to switch it off?"

She shrugged. "Nah. Watch it, I don't mind. I'll watch with ya. It's not like I hate football or anything. I mean... why the hell do you think I'd want you to switch it off anyways? Do you think just because I'm a woman I don't like football? This might surprise you but I love watching games too! Only reason why I'm not all that interested right now is because I think both teams are lame!"

"Whoa... shh." He quickly shut her off by gently kissing her lips. "CD, I didn't say anything like that. They're not really among my fav teams either, so I don't care if I watch it now or get the results later, that's all. And I know you like to watch games. We've watched games together ever since we had become partners, remember?"

"Yeah." She crossed her arms in front of her and just stared at the screen.

He frowned. "Baby, is everything okay?"

"Gee! Yeah! Of course, can't you just leave me alone for a second? Why wouldn't I be okay?" She slightly glared at him.

He cleared his throat a little. "Please don't get this wrong but you're somehow a little... aggressive lately."

"Aggressive?" She couldn't believe he had said that.

"Well maybe aggressive is the wrong word..." He wondered how else he could say it. 'Actually 'hostile' is more like it.' He thought but knew that would piss her off even more. "Look, I'm just worried that you're not okay. You know that if there is anything you can tell me, no matter what it is, right? Did I do something wrong? I'm pretty confused right now. I mean everything was perfect all day long, we had a lot of fun together but suddenly you're so..." He paused, still thinking about another word he could use.

"Aggressive." She said snappily.

"Different." He sighed. They had had breakfast in bed, were feeding each other, and he had loved that. To be with her, to hold her, to kiss her, but yeah of course also to make love to her. Now it was early evening and the only reason why they had gotten up was because the phone had rung. Teddy had called because of a case he was working and he hadn't been able to find the file so they had filled him in again until they heard Jinny tell him she found the file under his desk. He remembered how he and CD had grinned at each other and CD had teased and asked him just what exactly Jinny was doing under his desk. He had laughed and told them to use their imagination and then they had decided to go to the movies together tomorrow and ended the call. So then they had watched TV together a little but since then she seemed as if something was bothering her and it was killing him that he had no idea what. Not to mention the stunts she had pulled that got her suspended in the first place.

"Different." She repeated again and jumped up from the couch. "Well pardon me, but you're annoying the hell outta me, so I guess I have every right to be 'different.'" She mocked him, making quotation marks in the air with her fingers. Apart from that it nagged her that just because they pretty much had sex all day long he said he was having a good time. Of course she felt the same way about it, but somehow she felt as if she was just another notch on his belt. They were nothing like Jinny and Teddy who seemed to be the cutest couple on earth. But if she thought of a way to describe her and Nate's relationship 'partners with benefits' was the term that came to mind. But she had been hurt too much already to be able to open up completely. Though before Nate no one ever got close to making her open up just a little bit. Even when they still had been partners only he was the one who she trusted completely, the one she told things she'd never tell anybody else. So what exactly was wrong now? She didn't even know the answer to what exactly was bothering her herself.

Nate sighed and got up too, wondering just how the hell he had ended up in the middle of a fight with her now. "CD I'm so sorry. I had no idea I was annoying you." He wondered what exactly he had done that was annoying her in the first place. He wasn't acting any different than usual. "Please forgive me, I didn't mean to annoy you or upset you in any way." He closed the distance between them and gently placed his hand on her cheek. "Baby please don't be mad at me anymore. Tell me what I did wrong and I promise I won't ever do it again."

She sighed too and looked down as she placed her hand over his, holding it at her cheek. "I... I don't know actually. I guess it wasn't really you. I'm sorry too. I think it's just... that movie that we watched. It upset me somehow. The whole happy family stuff on TV all the time. I never had that and I think it's just an illusion they show on TV to confuse the hell out of everybody who's watching it. Just like all these mushy love stories. Boy meets girl, they fall in love and live happily ever afer, starting an unusually happy family. I mean come on, please, who is buying that crap? Real life is about sex and money. Look at our cases, there are no happy families."

He nodded even though her words stabbed him like a million daggars. Every time when being with CD felt so perfect and amazing something happened and brought him back into reality again. If he thought about a happy family she had always been the woman by his side. But he knew what she meant, illusions were nice but real life, their jobs had taught them otherwise. He didn't know what to say, he was so scared of losing her. He pulled her closer to him and held her tight for a moment, just hugging her.

They held each other for a moment and then he caressed her cheeks with his thumbs and leaned in and brushed his lips over hers, nuzzling tenderly. She returned the kiss and it was deep but yet innocent.

"Everything's okay again?" He asked, still scared that it wasn't.

She nodded and smiled at him. "Everything's okay again."

Happily he smiled back at her and kissed her again, sitting back down on the couch again and pulling her into his lap. He switched off the TV and they just cuddled and kissed for a while.

She kissed the top of his nose and switched on the TV again. "I thought you wanted to watch that game."

"Yeah. But I want you more." He said and kissed her more passionately, running his hands all over her body, caressing her through her clothes at first before slipping his hands under her shirt.

"Hmmm" She moaned as she felt just how much more he wanted her. That feeling was mutual and soon they had forgotten about their fight and the TV completely, ripping each others clothes off like it was the first time.

A few hours later they were still lying on the couch, arm in arm, cuddling again. CD saw the shirts on the ground and chuckled and picked hers up. "We're gonna run out of shirts if we keep this up."

"Then we'll start the shirtless trend." He laughed. "Though nah... rather not. There are certain people who I wouldn't wanna see like that... a day late even."

She laughed too. "You're so mean! She has her good sides too!"

"Yeah, like Attila the hun." He said and they both laughed and kissed again.

But then she reached for her clothes and got dressed again.

"Aww." He pouted.

"I'm cold." She kissed his forehead and pointed at the TV. "Plus there's another game about to start, and I know this time there is one of your fav teams."

"And you like em too." He chuckled and kissed her cheek before gtting dressed again himself. His shirt was completely buttenless due to the tearing it open though so he just left it open.

"A little." She smiled and knotted her also buttonless shirt in front of her.

"I see." He pulled her close again and wrapped his arm around her as they started to watch the game together.

Soon it was clear that CD liked them as much as Nate did because her cheering proved it. Not that he didn't know that already anyways though. As another commercial break started he entertwined his hand with hers and played with her fingers a little and kissed her temple. "Hey can you make me a sandwich? I'm starving." And he loved her sandwiches, just like everything else she cooked for him. So he gave her his cutest puppy eyed smile.

Wordlessly she got up and walked into the kitchen. She came back with her arms full and at first splashed some ketchup at him, then tossed some salad and tomatoes at him and then turkey and cheese before slapping a slice of bread to each of his cheeks. "*******!" She yelled and stormed off and into the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind her.

What the hell is CD's problem? Why can't she just be good to Nate?:D Oh, and post more!!!!!

He blinked and wondered if that was really so bad that he had asked her for a sandwich. Actually he thought that hadn't even been the first time he had asked and usually she made it for him and they ate together. 'Face it Nate, she's having a bitchy day.' He thought to himself and sighed. He hated having upset her again though and followed her to the bathroom. He knocked at the door. "CD? Sweetie? Come on, please cool down again and come out of there and we can talk, okay?"

The door opened and she did come out. It was obvious that she had been crying. She shoved him aside. "You know what? I've had it with you! You're just another damn bastard! Ever since we're sleeping together you're weird! A complete jerk!" She stormed into her bedroom.

Of course he followed her. "What? That's crap! I'm not a jerk!" He treated her with respect and like the most precious thing in his life, which she was. And even though he seemed to have upset her about the sandwich he knew exactly that he did not act like a jerk around her. "You're the one who has been acting like a complete bitch! But still I don't get mad because I figured that must be some reason! So don't you dare tell me I'm weird suddenly because you're the one who's having a bad day!"

"I am NOT having a bad day! I'm just sick of this! What the hell do you think I am? Your sex and kitchen slave? Well wake up to reality cause I'm not!" She glared at him.

"WHAT?" He couldn't believe what she was accusing him of. "That's bull**** and you know that! I can't believe you even think that!"

"YOU act like it!" She crossed her amrs again.

"That's bull! Come on, how often have I asked you to make me a sandwich and we ate together and everything was fine, huh?" He wanted her to calm down again.

"SEE? That's EXACTLY my point!" She glared at him again.

He sighed. "Oh CD. Please. We were never fighting like this as partners. Why now?" He asked.

"I don't know." She swallowed. "I guess this just doesn't work... we were great as partners and friends... I guess we never should have gotten involved like this."

"What?" He asked, feeling his world breaking apart.

"I don't want to fight with you anymore." She said sure that the only reason for all of this was that they had crossed a border they shouldn't have crossed. And even though it hurt her like hell she hoped they could go back again. "I mean I don't regret it, but we should face it. It was a mistake. You and I... we're partners, not lovers. Remember what you once told me, when I was dating Brian? That we could go on forever as partners. And I don't want to lose my partner." She swallowed.

"Neither do I." He whispered, his heart breaking though because she was so much more than just his partner and he had hoped they could go on forever as both. But apparently for her it was just a kick to sleep with her partner or something. She didn't feel the same and he could be glad that she didn't want him out of her life completely. If all he could have from her was being her partner he would accept it. He couldn't survive without her in his life at all, he knew that for sure.

"So let's call it quits like this before it's too late, right?" She couldn't be with him like this anymore, wanting, needing so much more from him than he was giving her but at the same time she didn't seem to be able to accept that she needed him, depended on him. She had sworn herself to never ever depend on anybody again. At least like this they'd still be partners and she wouldn't lose him completely.

Nate knew that this was his last chance. "Are you sure? I mean, we could try again... you could sleep it over... CD I lo..."

She cut him off, having no idea that by that she didn't give him the chance to say what she needed to hear so badly. "It's the best for both of us. You're the best partner I ever had and I don't want to lose that."

He nodded, feeling like he was being stabbed, suffocated, drowned, shot, sliced apart, all in one. He was sure that he'd always love her even though she apparently didn't feel the same. She didn't even want to hear it from him. "We had a great time though I think." He whispered.

"Yeah it was nice." She nodded.

"I... I guess I'll see you tomorrow at work then." He said and quickly left her appartment, not wanting her to see him cry because she had torn his heart apart.

"I'll always love you Nate." She whispered and sunk down to the ground, crying like she never had before.

Neither of them got to sleep that night and CD was glad that she still was suspended for another day, so she could stay in bed all day long and comfort herself with icecream while crying her eyes out until she eventually got to sleep.

Nate did exactly the same at his own place. He kept on staring at the phone though and dialled her number a million times but always hung up again. He couldn’t believe they were through. He just prayed to god that CD would change her mind again. But he knew he couldn’t beg for it.

Jinny and Teddy spent their day in bed as well. In the same one though. Of course they celebrated the news about their baby and after Jinny felt sick a few more times he finally managed to convince her to try that herbal tea. She did and was amazed because it actually helped her. So now she was drinking a lot of it, which in turn made her run to the bathroom again too though, because she had to pee every five minutes.

“Honey you’re overdoing it with that tea.” Teddy sighed.

“You’re probably right.” Jinny chuckled, flushed the toilet, washed her hands and walked back out to him. “I’m gonna cut down on it again.”

He smiled and kissed her temple and led her back to bed. “I’m just glad that it’s helping.”

“Yeah me too.” She agreed and kissed him passionately and they hit the sheets again.

Eventually the next day came and they all had to go back to work again. Teddy accompanied Jinny and sat down at her desk. She sat down in his lap and snuggled close to him.

Nate walked in a moment later and smiled at them, wishing he could hold CD like that again.

Magda, Raina and Kate were there already. Raina was standing at Mag’s desk and the two of them were gossiping about something when Kate emerged from her office. “Morning everybody.” She said and CD walked in as well. She looked terrible because she hardly got any sleep and didn’t really eat anything either since she broke up with Nate. She walked to her desk and sat down and saw that Nate as well, had dark circles under his eyes.

“Morning.” He said and smiled a small smile at her.

CD groaned, got up and dragged her desk into the middle of the room, away from Nate’s.

Everybody looked equally puzzled at that. “Alright Nate, spill it, what did you do?” Jinny joked.

“Nothing!” He protested. “I just said ‘morning’.”

“Morning.” He said and smiled a small smile at her.

“Nothing!” He protested. “I just said ‘morning’.”

CD sighed. “I’m just not feeling well today and couldn’t stand the smell of the coffee next to my desk. No big deal.”

Kate nodded at that. “Okay, you can keep your desk there for today. But tomorrow you’re moving to Nate again.”

CD nodded. “Of course.”

Kate gave her a look and wondered if she really felt sick or if that was just what she said to cover up for whatever Nate had done that had pissed her off again now. That would fit her recent behavior at least.

Nate glanced over at her, sure that the coffee thing had been a lie. He couldn’t believe that she suddenly hated him so much. He took a little piece of paper and scribbled ‘Can we talk?’ on it and handed it to her as Kate started to assign cases.

CD read the note, wrote ‘this isn’t talking, this is writing/reading’ under it and handed it back.

He rolled his eyes and answered that with ‘you know what I mean’ and passed it over to her again.

‘Alright. At the vending machines when Cap is done.’ She wrote and once more handed it back.

Kate hadn’t noticed their little exchange and handed out files and then looked at CD. “I wanna talk to you in my office.”

CD nodded and looked at Nate like ‘Sorry’ before she followed Kate into her office.

“Are you feeling better?” Kate asked her.

CD nodded. “Yeah.” She sighed. “Look, I’m really sorry about my behavior, I have no idea what had gotten into me. I guess I was just way too upset about a couple of personal things. But I straightened that out again, so I’m back to normal.”

“That’s good to hear.” Kate nodded and looked at her. “Personal things like Nate?”

CD shrugged. “Well yeah...”

“Wanna talk about it?” She offered, not as boss but as friend.

CD rubbed her eyebrows and looked at Kate. “I must have been blind. And stupid! I can’t believe I ever slept with him.”

That shocked Kate. “What? Why?”

“Because... I guess that’s all what it was for him. Screwing his partner, big bang, ya know?” She muttered. “Typically macho male Casanova behavior. And I was so stupid and blind to fall for his crap!”

Kate looked at her rather shocked. She had thought they were so in love and he worshipped the ground she walked on. “What makes you think that?”

CD shrugged. “It was always just about sex. And he treated me like some... housewife bimbo! I mean we were so great as partners, but when we started sleeping together that changed suddenly. I don’t know... I mean...” She had to smile. “It was great in the beginning. But we both just wanted different things I guess. He wanted a hot affair and I wanted...” She looked outside at Teddy and Jinny who were still all lovey dovey with each other, “... that.”

Kate nodded, understanding her all too well. “And you’re sure that he didn’t want that?”

CD nodded too and a couple of tears emerged her eyes. “I love him so much. And it’s breaking my heart but I can’t be with him if he doesn’t feel the same. I’ve had that with Paul and I can’t go through that again.”

Walking around her desk to put her hands on CD’s shoulders Kate said. “I can understand that. I just don’t understand why you think that about Nate. He’s crazy about you CD.”

“No, what he’s crazy about is to get laid. We were great in bed together and he enjoyed that. But he never told me that he loved me or anything... as a matter of fact he actually did say that when we had screwed all day long, he was having a good time with me. But that was it. Nothing more, nothing less. And I can’t be with him and just wait until he decides he wants to find something better. We decided to stay friends and I hope we can go back to normal again.” She sighed.

Kate gently rubbed her shoulders. Of course she hadn’t heard Nate’s side of the story yet but she knew CD well enough to trust her. She wouldn’t say this if she didn’t have a point. And she also knew from her own experiance that sometimes as soon as a relationship started to become horizontal suddenly everything changed. “Maybe you should talk to him again? I mean to really talk everything out. This could just be a big misunderstanding. What if you’re wrong and he loves you too? Don’t just throw all of this away without being certain.”

CD nodded. “Yeah, we want to talk. I hope you’re right but I’m afraid you’re not.” She sighed. “I better get out there again and go to work...”

“If you need to talk again, anytime... I’m here.” Kate squeezed her shoulders a final time.

“I know. Thank you, it really means a lot.” CD said and got up.

“Anytime, really. Don’t hesitate to come to me.” Kate looked at her a little worried.

“I will. Thanks Kate.” With that CD walked out and to Nate.

Kate walked out again too and looked at Teddy, who was still snuggling with his fiancee. “Shouldn’t you be somewhere?”

He grinned. “I’m right where I belong.”

“And don’t you forget it.” Jinny grinned back at him.

“Never.” He kissed her temple.

She smiled but then got up from his lap. “But seriously, he’s here because we wanted to invite you guys to the Anchorside for dinner on Friday.”

He nodded. “We have a big announcement to make, to our families and friends.”

“We already know that you’re engaged.” Magda butted in.

“Yeah but our families don’t. So will you please show up there and act surprised?” Jinny hissed at her partner.

“Fiiine.” She said and rolled her eyes.

“We’ll be there Jin, don’t worry.” Kate smiled. “And now get the ADA out of here and start working your cases!” She said sternly and walked towards her office again.

“Yes ma’am.” Jinny laughed and looked at Teddy. “You heard what the dragon said... better run before she eats you alive.”

“I heard that!” Kate called out, knowing Jin was joking though. She had to smile because she was glad that Jinny had gotten her life under control again and was extremely happy now. But then she sighed because now she had to worry about another of her girls. She glanced out of her office and saw how Nate and CD walked to the vending machines.

Nate swallowed and looked at CD. “CD, what was that about?” He motioned towards her desk.

“I said what it was about.” She muttered. “The coffee...”

He smiled back at her and reached out for her hand, now hoping again. “But what about us... I mean the partners outside the job thing... don’t you think we should give that another chance?” He looked deep into her eyes. “We were so great together.”

“Yeah in bed we were.” She sighed and looked over at Teddy and Jinny who just couldn’t say goodbye yet even though they’d see each other for lunch again.

“So lunch then?” Teddy asked and wrapped his arms around her tightly.

“In your office, like usual?” She smirked and caressed through his hair.

He nodded and grinned. “I’ll order a pizza or something though.” He kissed her cheek and then whispered into her ear, “you can’t neglect eating anymore now that you’re eating for two.”

She smiled and nodded. “Sounds great to me.”

He smiled back at her and claimed one last passionate kiss from her before eventually having to let go because he’d better show up at work himself. “See ya guys.” He said to CD and Nate as he passed them at the machines. They nodded at him.

“We’re nothing like them.” CD said.

“Jinny and Teddy?” Nate asked. “Well they’re not partners at work... not directly at least.”

“No, they’re all in love.” CD said. “But with us it was just about sex... and there’s too much on stake for a nice little affair here. We’re amazing partners... and we were stupid to risk that in the first place.”

Nate swallowed at that and felt like she had stabbed him yet again because she had said it was just the sex for her. He had loved her with all his heart and still did and it killed him to hear she wasn’t feeling the same. “Yeah I guess.” He muttered, too scared to admit it had been so much more for him because he didn’t want to lose her friendship over that. He needed her, if not as his lover then at least as his best friend. And he was sure that she’d make fun of him now if he told her that he loved her. “I guess we just didn’t want the same thing in this.” He said with a sigh.

CD nodded. “No we didn’t.” She just wanted to cry because he had admitted it. How could love be so cruel? How was it possible that she’d give everything for him because she loved him so very much, but on the other side, for him it was a nice fling just for fun.

He swallowed again. He still couldn’t let go of her just like that. “So we’re really over?” He asked, his voice almost failing him. “Once and for all?”

Feeling her tears shoot to her eyes CD nodded. “Yes.” She tried her hardest not to cry now. “It’s for the best. We wouldn’t have a real chance because you see something else in it than I do.”

He nodded and sighed. “I only wish you’d see the same that I can see...”

“But I don’t.” She sighed too. She needed more from him than he could give her. She needed somebody to love and to hold, not just somebody for bodily pleasure.

“If you ever change your mind let me know, okay?” Nate whispered and somehow managed to give her the smallest smile, hoping that maybe, just maybe, one day she would fall in love with him. He knew that no one ever could take her place and he would wait for her forever.

“I will.” She managed to smile back but knew that wasn’t possible. He was the only one she ever really loved and it was impossible for her to ever fall out of love with him again. “Ex...excuse me...” She murmured and with big strides made her way to the ladies room. As soon as she was in there she sank to the ground and cried the tears that she couldn’t hold back any longer now.

Nate practically ran into the men’s locker room and locked himself into one of the stalls there. He didn’t care about anything anymore and cried. He hadn’t cried anymore since he was a young kid and his father had taught him that boys don’t cry. But he didn’t give a damn and bawled his eyes out like a baby. CD was the only thing in the whole universe that meant something to him. How could he possibly not cry over the loss of that?

Kate glanced up from her office again and towards the vending machines. Upon seeing that neither CD nor Nate were there anymore she decided to check the ladies room, having a hunch she might find her recent reason for sorrow there. Unfortunately she was right and CD was crying her eyes out, obviously not having made up with Nate again. “Oh sweetie.” Kate sighed and sat down next to her and knew that right now wasn’t the time for words, so she just hugged her and stroked over her back as CD continued to sob until there were no more tears left.

“It’s over?” Kate asked when CD had calmed down again somewhat.

Of course that made CD bawl anew again as she nodded. “It’s over.”

“I’m so sorry.” Kate hugged her again.

“It’s not your fault.” CD murmured. “I just expected too much from this, no wonder that I get my heart broken again.” She swallowed. “What in the world can you do when love has gone... or never was there in the first place?”

Kate sighed. “I’m afraid the only thing to do then is to say goodbye. Or else you’d just get hurt over and over again.”

“So I did the right thing?” CD sniffed.

“I’m sure you did.” Kate nodded. “Even if it hurts. He really said he doesn’t love you?” That was still hard to believe for her.

CD nodded and sobbed. “Yes, he said it himself. We both wanted different things out of this relationship.” She sighed. “But that’s not his fault. You can’t force love.”

“That’s true.” Kate sighed herself. “If you want to take another couple of days off...”

CD shook her head. “No. I need to work.”

Kate nodded understanding her. “Alright then.”

CD gave her a small smile. “I’ll be okay again... eventually.”

Kate nodded, hoping she was right about that, but even more hoping that she and Nate would have another chance somehow. But she had to be honest with herself and admit that it didn’t sound like that. They all got back to work again and during the following week tried their best to keep their professional act up. Teddy and Jinny to hide the exciting news about their baby. And CD and Nate because they didn’t want to cause any scenes.

But once they were at home they stopped pretending. Jin and Teddy still couldn’t believe their luck and already bought all kinds of baby stuff, like bibs and a baby blanket and so on. He read out to the baby every day, while he lovingly caressed Jin’s belly and she grinned and ate whatever she felt like. Though there weren’t any all too crazy combinations among that yet. To Teddy’s surprise though she completely cut back on the jalapenos.

He wanted to surprise her one day and brought a glass home. "Hey look what I got you!" He exclaimed.

"Ohhh what?" Jinny grinned. "Bananas?"

"Nope, jalapenos!" He grinned and showed her the glass.

She made a face. "Eww."

"Excuse me? Ewwww?" He laughed. "You gotta be kidding."

"Actually I'm not. Please put that stuff away before I'm gonna be sick..." She groaned.

He frowned but put the jalapenos away again. "Alright... what the hell is up with that?"

She shrugged and frowned. "I don't know... but just the thought of these things makes me..." With that she dashed into the bathroom, indeed having thought about them too much.

Teddy of course ran after her and helped her like he always did and made a mental note to never mention jalapenos again. Maybe it was something like her anti-craving...

The rest of the week for them pretty much continued like that. Teddy did his best to make everything right for her and always was by her side, whenever the morning sickness kicked in.

CD and Nate on the other hand spent as few time with each other as possible. And when they did they kept it to a minimum about the job.

Friday came and Teddy and Jinny were the first ones at the Anchorside and waited for all of their guests to arrive.

Teddy and Jinny sat patiently waiting for the guests to start arriving as Jinny suddenly turned to Teddy and said, "Hope no one orders jalapenos I really don't want to end up in the bathroom tonight."

Teddy smiled at her. "I already told the waiters that those are a no can do today."

She grinned at him and kissed his cheek. "Theodore... you're perfect!"

At that moment his family marched in through the door.

Teddy reached over and took Jinny's hand in his as she said, "Wonder how this will go?"

"Good I hope." She smiled. "Your folks are here..."

Teddy stood up and greeted his parents as he shook his dad's hand, hugged his mother and his teenage sister. Jinny stood up beside Teddy as she said, "Hello Mr and Mrs Blumenthal."

Teddy put his arm around Jinny as Mr Blumenthal replied, "Jinny why so formal, it is Andrew, and Charlotte it really hasn't been that long since the last time has it?" Jinny replied, "No it hasn't Andrew."

"And I'm Danika." His sister said and smiled at Jinny. Then she looked at her mom and whispered, "She doesn't look drunk."

Charlotte turned towards her daughter as she gave her a look that Danika knew said it all that she had gone and sad something that she wasn't supposed to have.

Jinny had overheard her though but just took a deep breath and Teddy squeezed her hand. "That's because I'm sober." Jinny couldn't help but say that.

Charlotte said, "She didn't mean anything dear."

"Well SHE never met me before..." Jinny said. "So of course she can't have meant anything."

Teddy squeezed her hand again and decided to change the topic. "So how's school Dani?"

Jinny knew what Teddy was doing and was relieved that the subject was changed this was their night, she did not want to have it ruined because someone was holding a grudge.

Dani replied, "Fine, you didn't forget I graduate in the spring did you?"

"You mean THIS spring?" Teddy teased her.

Dani replied, "Yeah it just means after this I have only 4 years left of high school."

"Poor thing." Jinny teased her. "I always hated school."

Dani replied, "I know I don't understand the reason we have to go." Dani smiled as she thought to herself ‘Mom is wrong, I like Jinny.’

Jinny smiled back at her. "I never saw the reason either... but I did go every now and then..."

Just as the conversation was starting to pick up, in walked Casey spotting Jinny and Teddy he headed in their direction.

"Oh hey, there's my brother..." Jinny said and waved him over. "Casey, these are Andrew and Charlotte Blumenthal, Teddy's parents. And his sister Danika."

Casey walked up to them as he extended his hand and said, "Pleased to meet you."

When Danika shook his hand she grinned. "He's cute." She winked at him. "Single?"

Casey slightly blushed and then another man walked through the door and walked up to them. Casey right away reached for his hand. "Nope. Not anymore..."

Danika grinned at them. She hadn't ever met somebody gay before, so she was all excited. "You're gay?"

The couple nodded.

"Coooooooool!" She exclaimed but received a stern look from her mother.

Casey's boyfriend cleared his throat and Casey slightly blushed. "Uhh Jin, this is Dan Austin. I figured it's okay when I bring him?"

Jinny nodded and shook his hand. "Pleased to meet you." She introduced Teddy and his family again and then smiled at Casey and Dan. "I'll tell them we need another chair and stuff." With that she walked to the next waiter she saw.

As Jinny was returning from the waiter she saw her co-workers starting to arrive as CD walked through the doors and spotted Jinny, heading for her.

"Hey." Jinny greeted her. "Where's Nate?"

CD shrugged. "Should be here soon I guess. We didn't come together."

Jinny thought that was weird but didn't say anything about it as she introduced her to everybody as well. Dan stared at the tall blonde woman in disbelief.

Casey got slightly nervous about that because he was staring at a woman that way. "What's the matter?" He asked him.

"What?" Dan came to his senses again."Oh... sorry..." He slightly blushed and smiled at CD. "You look a lot like my sister... she's in the NAVY."

CD said, "Sorry I don't have any brothers or sisters, what is your sisters name?"

Casey relaxed again beside Dan as he waited to learn more about this fascinating man.

"Her name is Meg." He smiled and took his wallet out and showed a pic of himself and his sister, who was sitting on a horse, looking like a cowgirl version of CD. "That's at our ranch in Texas. That's where I'm from."

Casey took the pic in his hand as he said, "Meg does look like you CD, sure you don't have a twin you don't know about?"

"Unless my mom gave birth to twins and sold the other one..." She muttered.

Dan laughed. "Nope, mom and dad got her the traditional way."

CD replied, "Yep I am an only child."

Just then John Sr. walked up as he said, "So what is so important that we all have to appear?"

"Hey dad." Jinny smiled at him and went to hug him when from the corner of her eye she saw the Captain and Raina walk inside now, too. Raina, as usual, chewing Kate's ear off about whatever.

Just as Cap and Raina showed up in walked some more guests as Jinny was intorducing the last set that just had appeared, Mag walked up with Gabe and Ben as Ben said "Hey Jinny can you tell me another story?"

Jinny was about to answer Ben when she heard a voice she hadn't been expecting say, "Jinny tells stories?"

Stunned she blinked at her halfsister. "Who the hell invited you?" Then she saw she even had her son with her.

"I did." John Sr. said. "You said you're inviting all of your and all of Teddy's family. And she is family."

Jinny replied, "The hell she is."

Teddy stepped up and put his hand on the small of Jinny's back as he said, "Jin sweetie calm down, you know it is not good to get upset."

"She is your sister!" John sr. protested. "That makes her family."

Teddy again whispered into her ear. "Like it or not, but he is right... please, don't throw a fit now."

Jinny said, "I say she is no sister of mine."

"Half-sister." Ronnie said.

"I'll tell the waiter to bring two more plates..." Teddy said. "Jin, you know why we gathered everyone here tonight, so please let bygones be bygones. This is a time for celebration and like it or not she is your half-sister, I know you should have been told about her a long time ago,” He glanced in John Sr.’s direction, “but the truth is she is a part of the family."

Jinny growled but knew he had a point. "Alright, fine." Just as she was about to calm down the next problem walked through the door.

Jinny looked up to see Jonah walking in the door as she looked at Teddy and said, "Why tonight?"

Teddy sighed. He hated it as much as Jinny did.

Jonah didn't see Gabe and Ben at first and walked up to Magda, kissing her cheek. "Surprise, I made it!"

Magda pushed him away, but it was too late already. Gabe had seen him. "And who the hell ARE you?" He asked the guy who just kissed his wife's cheek.

Jonah was suprised to see Gabe standing there and it took him a minute to regain his composure before he said, "I am Mag's doctor."

Gabe said, "Yeah my ass now who are you?"

Mag replied, "Really he was the one that took care of me when I was shot."

Gabe said, "Looks like he took more than care of you when you were shot with what I just saw. Was the scare you had a while back his?"

Magda swallowed.

Gabe had his answer as he grabbed his son's hand and headed for the door.

"What the hell is HE doing here anyways?" Jonah asked, pointing at Gabe. "You invited ME!"

"Gabe! Wait!" Magda said running after him. "This is a misunderstanding!"

Jinny said, "Don't you know how to stay away?"

Teddy said, "Maybe you should go over there and discuss this matter."

Nate walked in as Mag ran out after Gabe.

Jonah walked towards the door to follow his lover.

"Great, just great." Jinny muttered and dragged Jonah with her to Mag and Gabe and Ben. She then looked at Ben who had no clue what was going on. "Uh hey Ben... you see that boy over there? His name is Matt, and I'm sure he'd like to meet you..."

Ben replied, "Papi can I go?"

Gabe looked at Jin and mouthed thanks as he said, "Yes Ben go on I will come get you in a little bit." Teddy walked over to stand behind his fiancee.

"Alright then." Jinny said. "I'm sure you have both a lot to talk about right now... but please, please, please, could you postpone it just a few more hours? This thing is really important for Teddy and me."

Gabe looked at Teddy standing behind Jinny and knew they were going to annouce their engagement tonight so he said, "I can wait a couple of hours but jacksass there isn't going anywhere until this is talked out and I don't want him sitting next to Mag."

Jinny replied, "Done."

"I was invited after all!" He glared at Gabe. "And the name is Jonah you pimp!"

"HEY!" Teddy raised his voice and stepped between the two men.

"I'll tell the waiters we need yet another plate..." Jinny muttered and rubbing her temples left to do that when she bumped into Danika. "Oh hey, sorry."

Dani grinned. "No problem. Hey who's that?" She motioned over at Nate.

Jinny looked at Nate as she said, "One of the inspectors I work with.”

"What's his name?" She smirked. "And phone number? How old is he? Where does he live? Does he wear boxers of briefs?"

Jinny looked at her soon to be sister in law as Teddy walked up behind her and said, "Dani slow down he is like years older than you and I sure hope that my f..." He trailed off.

Dani looked at her brother as she said, "Your what?"

Dani grinned. "No problem. Hey who's that?" She motioned over at Nate.

Jinny looked at Nate as she said, "One of the inspectors I work with.”

"What's his name?" She smirked. "And phone number? How old is he? Where does he live? Does he wear boxers of briefs?"

Jinny looked at her soon to be sister in law as Teddy walked up behind her and said, "Dani slow down he is like years older than you and I sure hope that my f..." He trailed off.

Dani looked at her brother as she said, "Your what?"

Teddy replied, "My girlfriend doesn't know if Nate wears boxers or briefs. But I think his parnter, that tall blonde over there might."

Happily Danika rushed over to that tall blonde. "My brother said you're Nate's partner?"

"Uhhh yeah, why?" CD asked that girl. She had seen Nate arrive but they hadn't even said hi yet.

"Does he wear boxers or briefs?" She grinned.

"Box... wait WHAT?" CD looked at her stunned.

Danika said, "Does that cute guy who just walked in wear boxers or briefs, my brother said you might know."

CD replied, "Did he know? How old are you anyways?"

Danika held her head up high as she said, "I am old enough."

CD replied, "How old?"

Danika replied, "13."

CD said, "I see, well I don't think your mother would appreciate you knowing if the men that walk in here tonight are wearing boxers or briefs now would she?"

Teddy and Jinny walked up as Jin overheard this one and said, "Dani you are interested in whether who wears boxers or briefs?"

"I only wanna know about him." She smirked. "And my mother doesn't have to know."

CD smirked back. "Well then try your luck and find out."

Teddy replied, "Mom would find out."

Jinny replied, "Don't know how they do it but somehow they always find out."

"Not if you don't tell her..." She smirked and rushed over to Nate.

Jinny took a deep breath. "Hey, why don't we all sit down..."

They all did and Nate sat down at one end of the table, Danika of course sitting down right next to him, while CD sat down at the other end, as far away from Nate as possible.

Jinny looked over at Teddy as she whispered, "What is up with this, CD on one end and Nate on the other, what is going on that we can't have a simple get together and nothing doesn't go wrong?"

Teddy shrugged. "I'll go talk to Nate, you talk to CD?"

Jinny nodded and approached her friend. "You have a minute?"

CD looked up at Jinny as she said, "Sure what is up?"

Jinny replied, "Can we go over to the bar?"

"Oh come on Jin... you've been sober so long now.." She joked.

"With me! Now!" She just dragged CD along.

"What the hell?" CD muttered.

Jinny took a seat at the bar as she said, "Why is Nate sitting at one end and you’re at the other end? What is wrong?"

CD replied, "Well we can't openly sit with each other since Raina, the gossip queen is here."

"Come on." Jinny looked at her. "We're friends, right?"

"Yeah of course. Don't worry we won't cause a scene or anything." She said.

"Not really." CD said.

"Then what?" Jinny asked, starting to lose it.

"We broke up, alright?" CD hissed.

Jinny looked at her friend as she said, "I am so sorry, I really thought you guys would be together forever."

"No big deal." CD said. "We're still friends."

"CD you don't have to be tough for me." Jinny said, knowing her well enough to be aware that inside she probably was an emotional wreck right now.

"I need to be for myself." She answered. "And neither Nate nor I want to ruin your big evening here... so don't worry about us." She gave her a small smile. "We can talk again some other time."

Jinny looked at CD and said, "Sorry I haven't been there for you. What caused the breakup?"

"It's okay, don't worry." CD gave her a small smile. "We ended it before one of us would get hurt... we didn't want the same kind of relationship"

Jinny replied, "What do you mean?"

"Jin, don't worry about it right now, really." CD said. "This is your big night... so go and enjoy it"

Jinny replied, "CD you are my friend and they will still be here when we are done."

CD smiled at her. "Thanks Jin." Then she took a deep breath. "We just didn't feel the same for each other."

Jin said, "So you are in love with him and he isn't with you?"

She nodded. "He wanted me as another notch on his belt. That was all."

Jin replied, "I am so sorry CD, I really thought that it was true love on both sides. I am here for you anytime you want to talk."

"Thanks Jin. But I'll be fine. I mean it wasn't all that bad... I had my fun too." She smiled at her. "We're just way too good partners to risk that over a fling."

Jin replied, "I know what you mean, when you get a partner that works you don't want to lose that over a fling."

"Now let's go and sit down again, huh?" CD motioned over to the table before getting up and sitting back down, in between Kate and on the other side Jonah.

Teddy walked up to Jin. "Alright. As for problem one, Ronnie, she's sitting with Ben and Matt, on the opposite end of the table from us... problem too, Mag, Gabe, Jonah... Mag is sitting with Ronnie and the kids, Jonah in between CD and Casey, and Gabe between your dad and mine. That leaves problem number three... CD and Nate..." He sighed. "They..."

"... broke up." Jinny nodded. "CD told me too." A tear slipped out of her eyes. "Why Teddy? Why all of this tonight? Is it a conspiracy against me? Against us?"

Teddy took Jinny in his arms as he said, "No baby it is not a conspiracy against us or you. Just seems like we chose a bad night to have a get together. It will all work out. I promise you."

"Let's just get this over with and hope no one kills anybody" She sighed.

Teddy said, "If they know what is good for them they won't say a word til we are long gone."

Releasing Jinny and taking her hand they walked over to the table as Teddy said, "The reason we called this get together tonight is..."

Jinny smiled at him. "... to announce..."

Everyone sat up in their seats as Andrew and John Sr said, "to announce what?" together.

"Our engagement!" Teddy grinned and reached for Jinny's hand. "We're getting married soon."

"How soon?" Charlotte asked.

Teddy replied, "Well sooner than later as we are also pregnant."

Jinny smiled happily. "But actually that happened after he proposed to me."

Teddy replied, "technically it happened the same day."

Dani said, "You mean I am going to be an aunt?"

"True." Jinny smiled.

Raina squealed in delight. "They're gonna have a baby!"

"Exactly." Teddy grinned.

Raina grabbed the waiter as she said, "Did you hear they are going to have a baby?"

The waiter replied, "Yes ma’am I did."

"Oh god. That's so great!" CD got up and hugged them both. "Congratulations you two."

"Jinnygirl!" John sr. said and went to hug her too. "I'm going to be a grandfather!" Then he hugged Teddy. "Welcome to the family."

"Jinnygirl!" John sr. said and went to hug her too. "I'm going to be a grandfather!" Then he hugged Teddy. "Welcome to the family."

Everyone went to get up to go hug the happy couple as Charlotte approached she said, "When is the wedding and how far along are you?"

"We haven't set a date yet." Jinny said.

Charlotte said, "Well with you being pregnant maybe you should be setting one."

"We will soon enough." Jinny said.

Dani walked up and said, "What mom is trying to say is she would prefer it is before you start showing is what she is trying so hard not to say."

Jinny laughed. "Yeah I would prefer that too... and yes that will be soon."

Charlotte asked, "How far are you and when can we expect this little bundle of joy?"

"Seven weeks now." Jinny said proudly.

Kate came up in the line and said, "Congratulations on both accounts."

"Thanks Cap." Jinny smiled at her.

Kate replied, "So do you know if it is a boy or a girl?"

She shook her head. "Not yet."

Raina who was next in line replied, "Be sure to let me know when you find out."

"Maybe we'll wait to be surprised." Jinny retorted.

"You?" Magda spoke up. "No way.

Jinny replied, "Why not."

"Because you're gonna want to know!" Mag said.

Jinny replied, "We acutally have discuseed waiting to see."

Magda shrugged. "Well then..."

Jinny replied, "We will just have to see what we feel like when the time gets here."

Teddy nodded in agreement. "But no matter if boy or girl, we're incredibly happy.

Jinny replied, "Yes we are."

“As long as he or she is healthy." Teddy nodded.

Kate replied, "That is all we can pray for."

"True." Jinny nodded.
