Taking place in Denver, Colorado in 1978, a child serial killer - colloquially known as "The Grabber" - is terrorizing a suburb by abducting various young boys.

He keeps them alive for a little while in the basement of his house and leaves them nothing but a mattress, toilet and an old rotary phone on the wall that he insists "doesn't work".

His latest victim, 13-year-old Finney, hears the phone ringing and is able to communicate with the spirits of The Grabber's previous victims who try to help him escape.



A sequel, Black Phone 2, came out in 2025.

The short film Dreamkill, featured in the anthology V/H/S/85 (2023), is set within the Black Phone universe.

They become convinced that the doctor is the devil due to his red skin, covered in iodine to protect against infection, and his skull and bone shrine where he honors the dead.



Filmed back-to-back with 28 Years Later and picks up right after it ended.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu '26 :thumbsup: (The evil Empire has fallen but Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they enlist the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu.)

Thoroughly enjoyed it, until Andor came along The Mandalorian was my favorite live action Star Wars series, and this movie is just as good.

I did like the zombies as they looked straight out of 80s Italian zombie movies.

The house seen throughout the movie was the same house from Friday The 13th Part 4.

I started to watch PLATOON (1986) but I couldnt stand the violence and turned it off.....

We have enough hatred in this world........ I first saw that movie in the 80s in connecticut on PPV... I had brought my cable box up to CT when we went to visit my relatives one time.

That cable companys box ('United cable' if I remember right) were on channel 2.... Well my regency box also had a descrambler in my like the Gerrold boxs did and PPV was on channel 17.. Well I hooked my box up and of course had to put it on channel 2 to see anything.... Guess what happend when I put my box on 3??

Everything moved down 1 channel so I was getting channel 17 on 16 (My box on 3 instead of 2) and my regnecy box DESCRAMBLED IT!!

If channel 16 was scrambled it would not have worked.... I remember years earlier EVERY CHANNEL WAS SCRAMBLED ON UNITED CABLE... (They wanted to make sure no one got anything but customers) then they started having NON PAY CHANNELS in the clear... (Not scrambled)

I remember I called someone from united and I told them I found this flaw on thier system and the guy said "Why are you telling me this?" -- I said "Well I dont live here,ill only ne here until tommorow but I figured you might wanna secure it so this cant be done"


But really how many people bring a cable box FROM ANOTHER CABLE COMPANY to another state and try to see what they can get in?? (Probably next to no one)

Earlier my cousins who also lived in CT had COX cable and they had cable boxs that went from channel 2-26 and someone discovered if you slipped and index card in the front of the box,it would hit something inside and all scrambled channels were unscrambled!!

Years later they started expanding and alot of thodse channels were above 36!! (Ya needed a different box)


One day I came to thier house and hooked my box up to the cable and then hooked it into thier box (Which my box was on 2) and since my went way above 36,I could see alot of channels above 36 that ya couldnt see anymore! (They were still scrambled the same way so the index card trick worked on many of them above 36)

Sidney Prescott has relocated to Indiana w/ her police officer husband and daughter to start a new life. Of course, she has to come in contact with Ghostface once again.

This time, the killer posts videos as Stu Macher, Billy Loomis' partner from the original Scream, who may not in fact be dead. They think it's a deepfake trick, but question if Stu really is alive.

The killer revelation was awful. Worst motive ever for a Scream flick, highly disappointed.



Matthew Lillard said in an interview that he did film a scene where Stu was indeed alive.

This was scrapped after poor fan reactions at test screenings.

Very loose remake (it's even credited as being 'inspired by' instead of 'based on') Witchboard from 1986.

I liked that instead of it being a Ouija board like in the original they used a Pendulum board since there's been so many Ouija board movies in the last few years.

Jamie Campbell Bower who plays Alexander Babtiste played Vecna in Stranger Things.

Backrooms '26 :thumbsdow (A strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom, leading to an endless network of interconnected rooms where time bends and the only thing scarier than getting lost is the sense that something is lying in wait.)

I was really looking forward to this, I've always found the concept creepy, and the short films I've seen based on the backrooms have been creepy. But this move was just dull, none of the characters were interesting.

I do like movies that have the 'be careful what you wish for' premise. Inde Navarrette is genuinely creepy in this.
