The film focuses on the aftermath of Jeffrey Dahmer's arrest from his father's POV while showing flashbacks of his upbringing.

This one just wasn't that good. The actors hardly resembled the people they were portraying and it was poorly made. They used intentionally grainy footage which looked awful and it was shot with mostly closeups.

America's Serial Killers: Portraits in Evil (2009) on DVD :thumbsdow

Mill Creek produced this 10-part direct-to-DVD compilation of a look into America's most notorious serial killers/mass murderers.

This one was just poorly done. They used scenes from various feature films based on the killers, such as The Lodger and Doctor X, that went on too long. That would have been great if I had wanted a movie compilation.

Also, the reenactment scenes featured bad acting and poor quality. There were much better reenactments done on Unsolved Mysteries and AMW. I don't know why Jack the Ripper was featured on this when he was in London and this was for "America's Serial Killers".

And I learned some things about LBJ from this movie being I was a very little girl 1 1/2 - 6 years when he was in office I didn't really know too much about him!! ;)

Listened to the audio commentary with writer/director Anthony Hickox and star Zach Galligan. One interesting thing I learned was the sword fight through 'time' between Zach and Alexander Godunov in Part II was originally going to be in the first movie between Zach and the Marquis de Sade and they would have gone through the different waxwork exhibits, but because they ran out of time and money they couldn't do it in the first film.

When the team arrives at a new investigation, they cannot figure if the occurrences are part of some elaborate master prank or if the house is actually haunted. Yeah I know!! That is the cool thing about the making of Hollywood movies and theatrical makeup you can take an actor / actress and transform them into looking totally different than what they really look like!! ;)


I think they chose Woody to play Johnson even though he looks nothing like him because he is from Texas as was LBJ. and so he knows the Texas drawl way of talking and the Texas mannerisms and plus Woody is a great actor !!;) Put all that together and a major makeover and Woody Harrelson becomes Lyndon B Johnson !! How friggin cool is that, :cool:

Another movie I found with my new crush Jonathan Silverman!:) At 47 or 48 he looks darned HOT!!! ;):love:He's aging well! :) Anyway back to the movie.:D Really cute and very funny! It's the 8th movie (I think ) from the Beethoven franchise, but still very good. And Beehoven is adorable!! :)

Pre-production was expected to start during mid-2013, but Dan Brown's new Inferno novel happened to be released around this time and they decided to adapt that one instead. Ron Howard has mentioned that scripts for The Lost Symbol have been written, but that he felt they "couldn't quite crack it."

6:66 PM '17 :thumbsdow (A reality TV crew's staged investigation into the paranormal becomes terrifyingly real when the house they're exploring turns out to be haunted by the ghost of a serial killer.

I sometimes like silly in my horror comedies, but this one fell flat. Good premise, they should have went for a straight horror film.)

Hell House LLC '15 :thumbsup: (Director's Cut DVD; Five years after an unexplained malfunction causes the death of 15 tour-goers and staff on the opening night of a Halloween haunted house tour (Hell House), a documentary film crew visits the scene of the tragedy to investigate what really happened that night.

The director's cut is 6 mins longer than the previously released version. My daughter pointed out some of the scenes that weren't in the other version. One scene I could have sworn I'd already seen before. I'm glad that one one small part was added to the end basement scene, from what I've read they intended to show more but didn't have the budget for the effects. But I think not fully knowing what happened adds to the film.
Also watching the film more than once you pick up on things, some creepy moments are things in the background I'd never noticed before.

Saw this in the theater when it was released. Awful sequel. The script went through different hands, Harold Ramis even tried to get his name removed as one of the writers.

Wes Craven said the story was inspired by something he heard in the news about burglars who broke into someone's home and found two children kept locked in a room by their parents.

The couple was played by Everett McGill and Wendy Robie from "Twin Peaks". Wes Craven casted them because he liked their work from the series.

This is perhaps one of the best horror docus. that I have seen. It goes into what horror flicks and real-life events inspired the many directors to create the classic horror films they are known for.

FX artist Tom Savini details how the horrors of Vietnam that he witnessed went into his realistic make-up effects. He was a photographer and he saw many die in front of him and had to step over severed limbs and rotting corpses to get around.

George Romero, John Landis, Tobe Hooper, and Wes Craven discussed how the real-life horrors on the news like the Kennedy assassinations, Kent State shooting, civil rights protests, lynchings... inspired them in their vision of putting ordinary people into horrifying situations.

John Carpenter and David Cronenberg discussed how the U.S. sexual revolution inspired their work like Shivers and Halloween.
