OMG!!! How cute!!!:eyes: :love: What a nice SWEET treat before bed!!:heart: I was watching TV and when the show ended I was going to go to bed! I'd just stick to the non-butchered Antenna or Fetv versions. I just wish Logo could be more like Comedy Gold in Canada where they showed UNCUT episodes of One Day at a Time, don't know why Logo can't do the same.:confused:

Ann Romano referred to him as having "Huckleberry Hound" eyes a couple of times. So that is ironic about his middle name being a Mark Twain reference as in Huckleberry Finn, perhaps Twain's most widely known work.

He was also extremely extra adorable in The bedtime story which was just on. :eek: BTW ,I noticed the kleenex box was there ( already even before Julie left) when they showed the last scene with him and Julie in bed making up!! :D

I couldn't get home in time to see the first part, :( I came in when Max and Julie were arguing about if Miss Nancy pants should be a boy or a girl!!:wave:

Also, his pajamas looked like an eggplant purple or something? They were the same style as the brown ones but the color was different??

I had a jacket around that age like the red one seen in Anna Karenina's photo (post #1053), with all the little round baseball patches of the MLB teams sewn on. Mine was dark blue though.

That brings back some memories of my brother and our old neighbors. All of us as young kids in the 1970s had fairly dark hair (mine was darkest brown of all) and relatively dark complexions (Greeks and Italians!).

I used to wear really cute high healed boots when I was younger! ;) They were sexy looking but were SO CONFINING on the feet! :( Now when I dress up in the winter sometimes I wear ankle boots with a little heal, not as high as when I was younger, and EVEN THEY aren't very comfortable to me any more!!!:( :p

On cold rainy days in the last few years I go with those furry UGG boots!!! :) They are cute, not sexy but cozy, comfortable and warm! :) Well faux UGGS from Target!! ;) :D :wave:

They were fun in their day!!:D And I still wear wedge sandals sometimes if I dress up in warm weather and healed ankle boots in colder weather . ;) Not too high though after spraining my ankle a few years back I'm nervous of anything TOO high!:eek: But for the most part I'm either barefoot or if I MUST wear shoes, flip flops or sandals , moccasins or UGGS and I never wear shoes in the house!! :D

That was one of the best, most classic ,cute scenes in the whole series and it was cut!! :( At least they did show him in the cute apron, for that I'm thankful!!!;)

They were fun in their day!!:D And I still wear wedge sandals sometimes if I dress up in warm weather and healed ankle boots in colder weather . ;) Not too high though after spraining my ankle a few years back I'm nervous of anything TOO high!:eek: But for the most part I'm either barefoot or if I MUST wear shoes, flip flops or sandals , moccasins or UGGS and I never wear shoes in the house!! :D

I miss him too but his departure was so abrupt and impersonal that it helped me move on more quickly than I normally would. Maybe that is why he went out that way. :confused: Like ripping off a band aid, he did it quickly and efficiently.

Unless zap2it's wrong (has been before when it comes to Sven), the first movie is MEDUSA AGAINST THE SON OF HERCULES (1963). Pretty sure that isn't Universal, or even Classic Media, the company he's gotten some Godzilla flicks from. Not sure if it's correct or not???

Yeah! I hope so! He said DUEL (1971) is coming back in the fall- the full theatrical version! Maybe he has some killer Weekend-of-Halloween movie planned that's new? :)

I always get sad when Season 9 ends and it will be a while till I see Max again!:( :heart: But in the case of LOGO isn't very long , showing 4 or 5 eps. a day! :D

But now I can rest for a couple weeks , exhale if you will!!! It's stressful being a prisoner of love and keeping track of seeing all his eps. and worrying if I can see them or not, and pretty much adjusting my whole life around Max eps!! :crazy: :heart: :eyes: :love:

Lately if I don't watch ODAAT if it's not a Max ep. Or another favorite ODAAT ep. I watch Adam 12 and Emergency on COZI TV. Or I have to be at work sometimes and have to miss Emergency too, like I had to miss ODAAT sometimes ! :( Johnny Gage/ Randolph Mantooth from Emergency is cute!!:)

But it's not like I'm glued to the TV set or anything. I am on the internet while the TV is on, or up doing house chores or getting ready to go out or something, just TV on in the background, except when it's Max/Michael than I'm glued!! :eek: :eyes: :heart: :D

Hi Anna !! :wave: Oh wow, that is nerve wracking, heavy rain like that when you have to drive!! :eek: :( Glad you played it safe and waited it out, but that is a long time to be in the car waiting!! :( Our weather is hot, but tolerable! Humidity went down. Been cooling down at night ! ;)

I had a rousing day of watching golf and listening to an old lady griping about everything and nothing!! :( But the Hubby made some good BBQ chicken on the grill for when I got home!! And i made some mashed potatoes and broccoli and had a nice dinner! :)

I'm multitasking! We are watching Fatal Vows on IDTV! It's about an American guy who marries and old fashioned girl from Indonesdia, thay have a baby girl, and hire an Indoneshian nanny! Well the nanny come up pregnant and guess who the father is?:eek: Well he marries the nanny too, and the wife really doesn't have a say in anything cause of the culture ! They all sleep in the same bed , him in the middle! :eek: The nanny gives birth to a girl too! Than the wives bond!!

I'm not kidding ! This is really a Sister wife thing!;) And the husband is a controlling A hole though! :(

I've been home since 3:20!!! But was enjoying the very tail end of the first Rhoda ep. and got to enjoy the whole second ep.:) Rhoda's hot Dad wasn't on though!:( But it still was good!!!;)

And was enjoying Lucy too!!! There was actually a Michael Lembeck reference!!!!:eek: I'm TOTALLY SERIOUS!!!;) Well sort of !! Ya know how I call him ML? Well the ep. where Ricky tosses the book to Lucy and hits her in the eye and the Mertz's don't believe it and think he socked her? Well when Fred sends the flowers supposedly from Ricky and accidentally has his name signed to it! :eek: Than when Lucy gets the flowers and Ethel says" I bet they are from ML"! And Lucy says" who is ML"? And Ethel says" Mystery Lover" (she doesn't at the time realize the card with the flowers is signed Fred)!!! :D

But isn't that funny the shout out to Michael Lembeck ? ML !! :crazy: Well sort of!!!:D

Than the second ep. was IMO one of the funniest EVER!!! ;) Lucy not being able to make up her mind!!! The scene in the Fur shop when Lucy was trying to reconnect with an old boyfriend, and thought a short , bald, dumpy guy was him that aged badly! So she was trying to make Ricky jealous by "flirting" with a handsome mannequin !! That was hysterical!!!:lol:

But here I am now!!! :wave:

I think that (sort of) reference to ML AKA Mystery Lover is funny but honestly that episode with the black eye is one of my least favorites because of the subject matter. It was a weird one . But the Michael Lembeck reference is the saving grace of that episode for me. ;) :) :wave:

On the other hand, Lucy and the mannequin was comic gold!

Yeah I know!!! The Lucy and the black eye was never one of my favorites either. I just thought it was far fetched , tossing a book at someone wouldn't cause a bad black eye!! :confused: But anything is possible in Lucy land.:crazy: So the reason for me was it just wasn't THAT funny of an ep. I didn't think. Till today when I noticed the ML thing!! :eek: :D :heart: And the mix up with Fred signing his name instead of Ricky was pretty funny in that it featured Fred/William Frawley a lot, and I think he is legendary!!! ;) :)

Hey guys :( I have some bad news :(

Yesterday, my Mom and Dad took one of our cats to the vet. It turned out he was very sick and had to be put down. :( It's hard to imagine life without him now. I cried more than you could ever imagine. First losing my dog Cinnamon who was very near and dear to my heart, and now my cat named Sven. :( He was only three years old too! :eek: :( Why, why, why?! :(

I took time to be with family yesterday and today. It's been very hard on all of us. I will miss him terribly:(

Did you guys hear that The Lucy Show will follow it at 4:30 in the fall? Interesting change. I'd love for them to bring back The Mothers in Law and Love American Style in a permanent slot. Same with Remington Steele... seriously couldn't have preceded TJ Hooker and H5-O?

Maybe his readjustment period is what happened during "the missing years," when he went from 2 to 5 in one hiatus.:)

Yes it is. I have it on DVD but I can only watch it about once a week because it's really anything but light hearted. But it has a good message.

At least we'll get to see four ODAAT's next (Wednesday?) Anyway, we will. And Sven'll be at 8pm-10pm starting September 9th with MEDUSA AGAINST THE SON OF HERCULES (going by zap2it's online listings here.) So that's good!

Hey I just saw the news story above. Four episodes of One Day on Wednesdays on Antenna! :) Unfortunately, this will only be for two weeks until the fall schedule starts on Labor Day. Still, it's better attention than they've been giving the show (the Saturday marathon notwithstanding).

WHAT???? Four eps. of ODAAT on Wed. for a couple of weeks? :eek: What time? If they aren't Max eps. I say Blah to that though!!! :lol: :D :love: :eyes:

True; I don't think time heals wounds, but it can gradually lessen the pain.

I guess the ODAAT mini-marathons will be on August 23 and 30. I wonder if it will still be on Sunday evenings, and which episodes they plan to air?

It will be cool to have Svengoolie on earlier. I have all episodes of Batman, Wonder Woman, and Star Trek:TOS on DVD, so any schedule juggling with them doesn't bother me.:)

So by 10 we're already pretty bushed to concentrate on a movie for two hours.:( We end up nodding off and missing a lot! And IDTV usually plays new stuff at 10:00 , so we watch that a lot too! So 8:00 will be perfect!! ;)

I didn't watch ODAAT on Sundays mostly because of Love American Style being on MeTV at the same time.

Yeah, Sven deserves to be on at a really good time to get more fans and show hopefully more prestigious movies! Hitchcock would be awesome, but for that I wouldn't hold my breath. I think I've mentioned, but I'd like to see An American Werewolf in London, Universal, on his show.

Prime time, 8-10, though that might mean 5-7 for you. I too hope they show some later episodes; but they might just keep the cycle from Sunday evenings (although they seem to be skipping here and there...possibly not re-rerunning eps from the recent Sat. marathon.)

I know! I am so excited about Angie!:) I probably saw some first-run episodes in the '70s, but I mostly remember it from midday reruns in the '80s. It wasn't the greatest show ever, but it was pretty funny and had a great cast: Robert Hayes (Airplane!), Donna Pescow, Debralee Scott (Mary Hartman), and Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond). I agree; I guess they pull in the numbers for them. There are a few episodes of All in the Family that I could watch again and again. Sanford and Son will be on hiatus for these mini-marathons, but the article assured us it will be back.:) Yeah some or all of those shows could take a break to make us appreciate them all that much more when they came back, or they could put them on earlier in the day. I just hope they don't ditch Burns and Allen! They are only a handful of early season public domain episodes available on DVD.

That was around the time I lost Antenna TV. They were showing WKRP and Diff'rent Strokes. For a while, I had to make due with Cozi. Then we picked up MeTV, then Cozi switched to Antenna. That's when my Glenn obsession led me to here!:) :wave:

OMG Burns and Allen was/is so awesome! They broke the fourth wall before that was probably a term, and Gracie was brilliant. The only thing I didn't like about the show was the Mortons' pathetic marriage. Even Fred and Ethel Mertz had some moments of affection. I liked the characters of Blanche and Harry, but their marriage was beyond sad.:(
