Dogman 2: The Wrath of the Litter '14  (It's been a year since the Dogman terrorized this Midwestern community and nearly killed Hank Purvis. But now, things seem to have settled down. Everyone has gotten back to their routine. Hank still enjoys the outdoors and loves to hunt. He and his wife, Dorothy, continue to live on their family farm in the rural Midwest. The picturesque autumn woodlands are a wonderful place to be. But things are not well. Unseen in the nearby forest, are a litter of grown Dogman pups, embarking on their terrifying destiny, and standing over seven feet tall. They are a bad batch. They have to be stopped.)

Re watch...

Dogman '12  (Hanklin Purvis enjoys the outdoors, and he loves to hunt. He and his wife, Dorothy, live on a farm in the rural mid-west. For some reason, during the season before autumn, things start happening. The first victims are family pets, then wild animals. But it's not until people are injured that the police get involved. The attacker is not human, that's for sure and it needs to be stopped. Then they discover that the wounds have a deadly bacteria and the clock is ticking for those infected. Enter Hanklin's neighbor, Francis Wellman, a Native American who believes she has discovered an ancient antidote. And will they ever find the perpetrator of these horrifying attacks? They do.

Inspired by the Michigan Dogman urban legend.)

Jeepers Creepers (2001) on Blu-ray

On a desolate country highway, two siblings are driving back home for Spring Break and are nearly run off the road by a maniac in a beat-up truck. They later spot him dropping what appears to be dead bodies down a sewer pipe.

They decide to go investigate and wind up being pursued by a supernatural entity who survives by eating the body parts of his chosen victims.

Jeepers Creepers 2 (2003) on Blu-ray

Set 3 days after the first film, a school bus carrying a high school basketball team is broken down by "The Creeper" and he then pursues who he wants.

Meanwhile, a farmer and his eldest son are on their own revenge mission in tracking down "The Creeper" after he abducted his younger son in front of him.

Jeepers Creepers 3 is due to come out sometime this year in 2017. Director Victor Salva and Jonathan Breck (The Creeper) are returning.

Not much is known other than Salva saying that the third film will explore The Creeper's origins.

Cinderella Man (2005) via Showtime-on-Demand

Based on the life of world heavyweight boxing champion James J. Braddock who struggled to support his family during The Great Depression. His comeback and "rags to riches" story inspired the nickname and gave people hope during one of America's toughest times.

The film received some criticism for how it portrayed boxing champion Max Baer. He's shown as being a rude womanizer and proudly boasts about the boxers he killed in the ring. His son Max Baer, Jr. (Jethro on The Beverly Hillbillies) said that his dad was a kind man who was forever troubled after Frankie Campbell's death in the ring.

He used a good portion of his boxing earnings to help support Campbell's family.

Rosemarie DeWitt has a small role in the film who is James J. Braddock's granddaughter.

An interesting fact about Braddock is that after he retired from boxing he went into marine equipment surplus supplies and helped construct NY's Verrazano Bridge.

Well, you know me and dolls. Raggedy dolls I don't find scary, I had a Raggedy Andy doll as a kid, so I can see why they changed it for the movie. But if I knew about that as a kid, I'd probably have thrown ol' Andy out.

They can be scary. In the way that they are so old fashioned, innocent and wholesome, that it would be extra spooky if a Raggedy Ann suddenly were to become evil! ;)

Remember that paranormal ep.on the Waltons, when Elizabeth's Raggedy Ann was like dancing around or something? I haven't seen that ep.in so long!

And there will be an Annabelle 2 ! ;)

Annabelle is a Raggedy Ann doll alleged by demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren to be haunted. The doll resides in a glass box at The Warrens' Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut. The story served as the inspiration for the films The Conjuring (2013), Annabelle (2014), and the upcoming, Annabelle 2 (2017).

Relatives and friends of Emmett Till give first-hand recollections of his 1955 lynching in Money, Mississippi. His mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, completed filming before she died in 2003.

The docu. also goes into the then-current re-opening of the case in 2004 where the Dept. of Justice were looking into other possible culprits in the brutal murder. Till's body was exhumed and examined w/ modern forensics to positively ID him and to search for new clues.

The Emmett Till story recently made the news in Jan. 2017 where it was revealed, in a 2008 interview, that Carolyn Bryant had lied on the stand saying that Till made verbal and sexual advances towards her at her grocery store.

Hellraiser: Revelations (2011) on Netflix :thumbsdow

Just awful. I wanted to see this just because it's a Hellraiser film and I saw that it was on Netflix. The film/cast looked like a bad "Vampire Diaries" episode. The worst of the original direct-to-video Hellraisers was 10x better than this.

Apparently it was rushed into production so Dimension Films could retain the rights to the Hellraiser franchise. They were (still are) working on a remake/reboot which has been stalled for a long time, so they would lose the rights if they didn't churn out a new Hellraiser film by a certain deadline.

Another Hellraiser film, Judgement, is due to come out direct-to-video sometime this year. Nightmare on Elm Street's Heather Langenkamp will star. Doug Bradley refused to reprise as Pinhead noting the lower quality of the recent Hellraiser films and Clive Barker's non-involvement.

Get out! This was REALLY GOOD!!!;)

Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams), have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy and Dean. At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he never could have imagined.

Lord Of The Rings '78  (Still holds up fairly well. Some weird character design - Treebeard looks like a carrot, Sam Gamgee looks like Buddy Hackett. Boromir dressed like a viking. The voice work though is very well done, John Hurt as Aragorn is one of the standouts.
Though he didn't provide the voices, Billy Barty was the rhotoscope actor for both Bilbo and Sam, and his distinct mannerisms shine through.:)
Sadly a part two was never made, the production company backed out of funding the planned sequel.)

Firewalker (1986) on VHS

Two down-on-their-luck treasure hunters are approached by a woman at random to help her find an ancient Aztec cave w/ treasure in Guatemala.

The film was Chuck Norris' first comedic role in which he spoofed his action persona.

It was blasted by critics for being a cheap rip-off of other treasure hunter movies of the time, Indiana Jones and Romancing the Stone, and for Chuck Norris' poor comedic performance.

It co-stars Melody Anderson and Will Sampson, Ian Abercrombie, and John Rhys-Davies have small roles.

The Forgotten One '89  (A recently widowed writer moves into a Victorian house that is supposedly haunted. Although he is attracted to his pretty next-door neighbor, he finds himself being seduced by the spirit of a woman who had been murdered in his house 100 years previously.

Terry O'Quinn, Kristy McNichol

Got my niece to watch this with me, she's not the horror fan like my daughter and I, mainly the blood and gore she doesn't like. She liked it.:) )

Big Little Lies. Not a movie, but an HBO mini-series. We did a marathon last week and were blown away. An incredible ensemble piece with amazing talent.

I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore '17  (After being burglarized, a depressed woman and her obnoxious neighbor set out to find the thieves, but they soon find themselves up against a group of dangerous criminals.

Melanie Lynskey, Elijah Wood

When I was looking for the movie's poster I came across a couple of quotes from critics. One said it was Blood Simple meets The Three Stooges. Okay, Blood Simple I get, but Three Stooges? Seriously? The humor is not even remotely like The Three Stooges. Another said it was the perfect blend of comedy and horror. Horror? There is nothing horror about it. This is exactly why I don't pay attention to critics and reviews.)

Hell House LLC '15  (Five years after an unexplained malfunction causes the death of 15 tour-goers and staff on the opening night of a Halloween haunted house tour, a documentary crew travels back to the scene of the tragedy to find out what really happened.
