Chad22 11-28-2013, 05:51 AM *Gets out of bed like a zombie.*
Admittedly really feeling the effects of not much sleep the past few days right now so man oh man do I plan on a long nap when I get back from my Grandmother's day.

DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:01 AM Happy Thanksgiving, brotha. How was your night? LOL
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. It's been good, actually went by fast LOL. Helped put sprinkles on the cake that we're eating tomorrow and watched me some Charlie Brown which is always cozy.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:02 AM Didn't even realize I still had this avatar LOL
You're ahead of the curb in the festive mood.

CAKE?! Thanksgiving is all about the pie, man.
Then again, I've eaten pie and cookies on my birthday so I have no room to criticize anyone for being unconventional.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:03 AM Waiting for THEFOOL to drag himself out of bed and show up before I debut my new Thanksgiving avatar.

There's both cake and pie  . My grandmother baked the cake but we bought a pumpkin pie for tomorrow too. It's gonna be awesome to actually be able to have seconds this year too.

Ohhh yeah, first Thanksgiving in the new house. Sweet.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:06 AM Speaking of TF, I might go ahead and get me something to eat here in a few minutes.
Something he considers a CARDINAL SIN on Thanksgiving before the big meal, but I've made a habit out of doing many years so I don't spend the morning starving.
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:06 AM Waiting for THEFOOL to drag himself out of bed and show up before I debut my new Thanksgiving avatar.
I'll do the same LOL, this one can live on for a brief period of time. It is kind of nostalgic.

 He's gonna hate me for eating breakfast in the morning when I get up but Thanksgving is one of the few days we'll eat later so it's worth it instead of waiting all that time.
It's not like we're not going to be starving by the time that food is ready anyhow as long as you don't overdo it.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:10 AM  He's gonna hate me for eating breakfast in the morning when I get up but Thanksgving is one of the few days we'll eat later so it's worth it instead of waiting all that time.

I always eat the earliest out of anyone here as we head to my Grandmother's at about 10 and eat by 11, but that's still a fairly long time to go from waking up before eating for me. I needs me some energy, especially today.

This is like opposite day for us where you eat early and I eat late  . Only the three of us this year, my family is coming on Saturday instead since they're having their own dinners. That just means more food for us.

They just coming to visit or are you having another Thanksgiving then?
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:14 AM They just coming to visit or are you having another Thanksgiving then?
Probably going to eat leftovers if there are any  but mostly a visit I think. Since my sister is more than likely not going to be around next year, they're trying to have one last big Thanksgiving meal with my step dads side of the family.

That sounds nice. Hope your Grandfather and Step Dad don't get into a fist fight.
*Actually, I totally do, I'm just being nice and not wanting to see the holidays ruined for you.*
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:17 AM I'm not too big of a leftover guy. I'll usually bring home enough for that night and the next day, but I can't eat the same thing for too long, especially since you have all that same stuff again next month.
Although my family HAVE talked about doing lasagna on Christmas this year just to change things up.

 He's not coming when they visit...he's not welcome here LOL. Though, my sister is having an engagement party next month and insisted we go down there. Now THERE is where I'm worried that a fist fight is legitimately gonna take place LOL. Not to mention having to return there again but thankfully ONLY for a party and not to live.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:18 AM The plan to meet up here is 5 AM TF, not 5:17. Boy's late for everything.

It's still freaking WEIRD to me that your sister is getting married LOL
She was like....what, 7 when we met?
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:19 AM I'm not too big of a leftover guy. I'll usually bring home enough for that night and the next day, but I can't eat the same thing for too long, especially since you have all that same stuff again next month.
Although my family HAVE talked about doing lasagna on Christmas this year just to change things up.
We eat leftover for DAYS to finish it all. Lasagna sounds awesome, we're having tamalas  . Usually we have ham on both Thanksgiving and Christmas but this year is a change. Turkey on Thanksgiving, tamalas on Christmas and ham on New Years. Christmas lasagna sounds awesome though, I hope that goes down.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:19 AM OH MAN LOL
Morning, guys.
Morning, Anthony. Late night out with your gals at the Hooter's?
WHY WAS I NOT INVITED?
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:20 AM OH MAN LOL
Morning, guys.
Hey TF, Happy Thanksgiving!
Stormtracker TF 11-28-2013, 06:20 AM The plan to meet up here is 5 AM TF, not 5:17. Boy's late for everything.
I always get on at like this time because I take a shower first.
Oh well, I'm here now, and the day has come.

Usually we have ham on both Thanksgiving and Christmas but this year is a change. Turkey on Thanksgiving, tamalas on Christmas and ham on New Years. We never really eat or do anything special on New Year's. We rarely even do Easter, so Thanksgiving and Christmas are it for us. :/
Stormtracker TF 11-28-2013, 06:21 AM Morning, Anthony. Late night out with your gals at the Hooter's?
WHY WAS I NOT INVITED?
LOL Oh man, no, but I did actually wake up a little early today. Still, I somehow managed to get more sleep on this day since probably like 2003. I ALWAYS have trouble sleeping before Thanksgiving with all the excitement building.
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:21 AM It's still freaking WEIRD to me that your sister is getting married LOL
She was like....what, 7 when we met?
Around that, it's VERY weird LOL. Let alone the idea of her getting out of here before I do and potentially living in Missouri. I have no idea when the actual wedding is but it may lead to me wearing a tuxedo for the second time in my life and hopefully a LOT better than the last time
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:21 AM I always get on at like this time because I take a shower first.

I had trouble sleeping. Spent about an extra hour on Skype talking to Joe and then it took me about another hour to fall asleep, and this on like 4 hours of sleep all together the past few days beforehand.

DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:23 AM We never really eat or do anything special on New Year's. We rarely even do Easter, so Thanksgiving and Christmas are it for us. :/
Usually my grandparents go to Laughlin for New Years but they want to enjoy the house this year for it. I'm actually looking forward to all these holidays being like old times again. I learned the past three years to never take them for granted.
Stormtracker TF 11-28-2013, 06:23 AM I had trouble sleeping. Spent about an extra hour on Skype talking to Joe and then it took me about another hour to fall asleep, and this on like 4 hours of sleep all together the past few days beforehand.
So how long did you sleep? Like 6 hours? I think I managed about 7, which is fine because I'll probably take a nap at some point today as usual.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:23 AM Around that, it's VERY weird LOL. Let alone the idea of her getting out of here before I do and potentially living in Missouri. I'm doing well, Chad's the one who's in zombie mode  . Watched some relaxing Charlie Brown and if I had some orange juice right now, I'd turn on the Nick Lachey.
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:24 AM *Flies in and brings an orange Dumb & Dumber tuxedo, bringing along a blue one for you, and tophats.*
 I'm gonna regret saying it but I'm guessing that TF would get flown in also and he'd have a GOLD suit.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:24 AM So how long did you sleep? Like 6 hours? I think I managed about 7, which is fine because I'll probably take a nap at some point today as usual.
Yeah, about six. I was DEAD tired when my alarm went off about 4:45, but I'm waking up a little bit now. I'll probably get back about noon as usual today, share what I ate, then go spend the afternoon sleeping before returning here tonight for part 2 of the usual thread festivities.
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:25 AM :rotflmao:
Hey Jack, Happy Thanksgiving  . How's Flo?
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:25 AM :rotflmao:

LOL Oh man, memories.
I think I MAY actually eat something soon just because I was hungry when I went to bed last night and apparently, eating breakfast allows you to eat more when dinner comes.
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:29 AM Very, very cozy Avatar Chad

It's all good though cause you get to spend Thanksgiving with THE COZ, Theo, Rudy and the gang.
Pudding pie and bacon burger dogs to be had by all.
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:33 AM LOL OH MAN, you actually did the avatar thing
All credit goes to Chad for making it and you for suggesting it  . Wouldn't be Thanksgiving without the COS involved somehow.

 Would he go on a rant about Pokemon? "You take the Poke, then you the mon", I STILL remember that.
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:36 AM I think after ten and a half years of being on SO, I'm finally starting to get used to keeping pace with these threads.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:36 AM  Would he go on a rant about Pokemon? "You take the Poke, then you the mon", I STILL remember that.
LOL Classic.
And a rant about Pokemon sounds like perfectly acceptably Thanksgiving conversation to me.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:38 AM I think after ten and a half years of being on SO, I'm finally starting to get used to keeping pace with these threads.
You think this is fast moving? This is nothing and I mean NOTHING on 2004 when our group was probably the biggest it ever was and we'd be doing like 2-3 thousand post threads a day.
It kinda got to a point where you had to spend every waking second on here if you wanted to stay in the loop.
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 06:38 AM LOL Classic.
And a rant about Pokemon sounds like perfectly acceptably Thanksgiving conversation to me.
 It's amazing to me they still make those games with the same premise, story and all and people still play them. There's like at least 500 of them now.

It kinda got to a point where you had to spend every waking second on here if you wanted to stay in the loop.

Chad22 11-28-2013, 06:40 AM  It's amazing to me they still make those games with the same premise, story and all and people still play them. There's like at least 500 of them now.
I never really got into it. I hated anime as a child because it looked so different from American cartoons and it frightened me.
Speed Racer being an exception of course, that was too awesome not to love.

Probably not much to be honest. I have a ton of old comics that I bought back in the 90's, some of which are way older than that and unless you have like a mint condition of Superman number 1 or something, the most you could probably get for them is 5 bucks on Ebay from someone desperate to find them.

Way to ruin my dream of making hundreds of dollars for selling old cards  . I'm not even sure I still have them, they might be in storage somewhere. As much as we talked about nostalgia, I'm glad technology has moved forward. All of my old gameboy games had their cartridge battery run out and won't save anymore. Could you imagine if someday you wanted to play XBox when we move on and in like ten years and all the years worth fo content were just gone?

Chad22 11-28-2013, 07:05 AM For some reason they never offered that Baja Blast until recently. I think because despite the fact that our KFC has been half Taco Bell for like 15 years now, the sign always said just KFC with just a small Taco Bell sign on the door. Just recently, they finally put a Taco Bell logo on the top of the restaurant so I guess it became an OFFICIAL Taco Bell.

That was actually a legit fear I had for a day or two, that I would be stuck there for Thanksgiving.
I mean, it seems kinda silly looking back that I would even consider being stuck out there that long, but you have to remember how freaky that day itself was. I was sitting there in the hotel room having a panic attack only to turn on the TV and see Obama talking about how this would take a long time to rebuild and get everything going again. That was like my own personal 9/11 when it comes to actually being effected in some way, obviously not to the degree that those who lost their homes were.

Not much "extreme" weather on tap here for today, but there is snow in the forecast, maybe 1 to locally 3 inches by evening. A somewhat uncommon event for Thanksgiving.

WOW LOL, though I'm not sure how good VIP is but for 30 bucks you can't go wrong. Stormtracker TF 11-28-2013, 07:50 AM The snow is starting to stick outside :D
Chad22 11-28-2013, 07:51 AM WOW LOL, though I'm not sure how good VIP is but for 30 bucks you can't go wrong. I had contemplated the Knockouts VIP section for Bound For Glory and opted against it after reading that barely any of them come and the food is meh. Funnily enough, smart decision since by the time the show rolled around, there were only like 4 Knockouts left  . HECK of a lot better than what they charged for that.
Knockouts VIP section? This exists? LOL
*Gets JD Scrubs like fantasy of us walking into a room where they're all dressed up like a harem.*
Chad22 11-28-2013, 07:52 AM The snow is starting to stick outside :D
Nice.
We got a bunch of rain yesterday that melted our's.
I think we're supposed to get more today though.

I read "JD Scrubs Like Fantasy" and immediately thought you were going to say something about your doctor's visit recently.

That is a very rare occurrence when the weather is much colder here than up there.
It's been below freezing for days here, last time we got rain was that day when the big tornado outbreak happened on BF's birthday. There hasn't been a lot of snow, but enough to show up on the grass and stuff.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 07:54 AM Oh wow, it looks like we already got the snow back.

OH MAN LOL, you'd think, right? The review I read said that only Christ Hemme came over and she was ring announcing so it was few and far between and the food was basically concession stand food. I still gotta put up pictures of that show but I can't find the wire to my camera to hook up to the computer and fear I may have put that in storage in the backyard by accident.
Stormtracker TF 11-28-2013, 07:55 AM Oh wow, it looks like we already got the snow back.
Awesome.
How about you, Joe? Any SNOW there?

CHRIST Hemme LOL

Despite living in a place that gets some snow from time to time, I still have no idea what this snow stuff is
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 07:57 AM CHRIST Hemme LOL
 Won't even bother editing that, too hilarious not to. Pretty sure if that happened, we'd be dead so maybe it WOULD be a fantasy after all
Stormtracker TF 11-28-2013, 07:58 AM Despite living in a place that gets some snow from time to time, I still have no idea what this snow stuff is
I will always remember us being in Chicago and you thinking that SALT on the ground was snow LOL
I remember the day before it was snowing when me and Chad made the walk from the train station back to the hotel, which was cozy.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 07:59 AM Just took this.

 It looked just like it and I was confused as heck. To me it was more than cold enough to justify that it could have been snow. It's actually 37 degrees here right now judging by the app on my desktop. I'm cold enough in here, it baffles me I went out in weather somewhat similar to this in Chicago
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 08:00 AM Just took this.
Wow, that truly looks like a winter wonderland. I wonder if that's gonna stop that woman from going over and asking for soda

What kind of a lame VIP session is that?
I don't even think I'd pay 30 bucks to go sit in a room with 4-5 smelly guys in TNA shirts and eat hot dogs just to see Christy walk by.

Is it colder in your new town than where you used to live? That seems unusually chilly for this time of year out there.
Stormtracker TF 11-28-2013, 08:05 AM Probably not. :(
Wait...what?
DA HOME GUY 11-28-2013, 08:07 AM Is it colder in your new town than where you used to live? That seems unusually chilly for this time of year out there.
It is, I'd about 10-15 degrees more colder. We refer to it as up the hill since you go up a desert hill to get here from the old town so between that and being close to some mountains, it's a bit colder. One time when we were living in Vegas and coming down, we actually ran into snow further into town and had to drive through it which was a completely different experience. Yet probably second nature to you guy

That's a cool Fall breeze.
Chad22 11-28-2013, 08:08 AM Wait...what?
My neighbor always comes over here asking me for soda. I have NO idea why she doesn't just go buy her own.

Wow, that sounds kinda cozy. Maybe you'll get some snow this year.
And I'm all too familiar with that type of thing. Weather can vary RAPIDLY depending on where you are in Michigan. I remember on that infamous Blizzard chase I did, 200 miles north of here there was this massive snowstorm raging on and by the time I got back here into town it was raining and in the 40's.

Chad22 11-28-2013, 08:15 AM LOL Oh man, do you give her any?
Yes sadly, I have trouble saying no.
The worst part is when she comes when I'm sleeping, or when I have very little but she won't leave until she gets some.

 As a kid I never really picked up on the idea of him being gay but when you look back, there are a LOT of hints that point towards that. It's a lot more secretive than shows like Ren and Stimpy though, a LOT more. Even Rocko had quite the out there moments.

The only conspiracy theory I used to have as a kid when it came to him was thinking he was some adult version of Doug Funny that changed his name or something, since they wear the SAME clothes.

The idea of combining those two thoughts and that being Doug with those implications  . When things with Patti didn't work out, Doug assumed a new identity and lifestyle.

 I like how both of you had family/were involved in parade somehow. I wish I had some crazy story like that but sadly I don't. I'm not even sure we've been to an actual parade on it's own. The most I remember are the ones at Disney Land many years ago.

I've been to a few but not really major ones, just some local veterans driving around here and whatnot. It's not terribly exciting.
I wanna go to the Macy's one one day.
