Yeah I was there. I was stationed on the USS El Paso, then on the USS Anzio. The Navy has its good and bad points. The best was that you get to travel and see the world for free.

I got in a car crash last night. My friend ran a red light and we hit/got hit by this woman who's car smashed into my side. It was horrible. I feel like it's my fault, even though I'm not the one who ran the light...I was IN the car that did.

I agree, I was afraid to say anything, but yeah it has, they're acting like he was banned, it's only for 3 days from what TJ said, and he said he wanted to get suspnded, so I feel for TJ cause he's getting the blame when it wasn't his fault :(

You know... I don't understand this no politics rule at SO. There's all these other message boards that are unrelated to sitcoms but they are allowed.

My logic is if we can act mature enough to respect one another's opinions, then a political discussion should be allowed here at SO. A politcal arguement should never be allowed here (or anywhere else for that matter).

At my library they give you a three day grace period but then if its still not returned 25 cents a day (including the three day grace period.) I think they only let each book go up to $10... then they don't charge you anymore.

Even in the small town I live in, our library just changed it to a $2 limit from $5, if your card has $2 or more, then you can't check anything out till you get it under the limit. It used to be $25 at one time.

Whenever we have a fine at my library... even if it is only 25 cents... you can't take anything else out until you pay it!

My sister has like $20 in fines on her card, and she doesn't have the money to pay it, so she checks out stuff on my card or my mom's card all the time. Perfect way to scam the library! ;)

I'm not as addicted to watching TV as I used to be. I'm addicted to Frasier, Cheers, Just Shoot Me, Will & Grace, L&S and 2 soaps.

17 Hours?? Damn, thats insane.

I watch about 4 hours of TV a day during the week.... and 6 or 7 on the weekends.

Unless I'm sick or something, then I'll watch more.

But for the most part, I'm either too busy, or my eyes begin to hurt.

TV is good.
But too much of a good thing is a bad thing.
Watch wisely.

2 hours of TV in the morning , 5 hours of school, 11 more hours of TV. I guess its 13 hours on a school day & 17 hours on the weekends. I watch TV when I eat my meals too. I also have a TV in my bedroom.

My eyes never begin to hurt. I love to watch it in the dark.

Oh yes, "watch wisely." There's so much crap out there you have to avoid.

I don't have much time for TV during the week - maybe 2 hours. On the weekends I'll sometimes watch more.

I do, however, like to leave it on in the background when I'm alone doing other things like cooking or cleaning. CNN or VH1 are both good for that. (If I had BBC world, I'd leave it on that, but I have to settle for CNN.)

I only watch CNN for Larry King when he has celebs on.

That's not real homework - that actually requires concentration. Homework is reading text books, doing problem sets etc. Nothing that require much concentration.

Haha I hate orange instruments. I like dark, aged wood. Like my violin.

I used plaster and coated it with wood stain. It took me a really long time...blah.

And it was supposed to be semi-sexual - the arching back, the head flinging back, the little stumpy arms closing in on the hollow interior. It's a humanoid instrument. And um, well, I'll leave it up to the viewer to decide.

Since Thanksgiving is coming up and all, I thought we'd share our favorite Thanksgiving stories.


Since I don't celebrate the holiday, I didn't mind not being able to go home last year. So there I was, the only person who stayed back in my hall, bored as hell...when all of a sudden I switched on the TV and "Thanksgiving Orphans" was playing! That made my day.

we have a week, so that is good stuff...next year when I'm living right off campus I should hang out with all the international students, they are so much cooler than the domestic ones ;)


Thanksgiving has got a little bit better since I've became friends with Caitlyn, since our families almost always have it together.

But I still do hate it.

Mine would have to be the Thanksgiving I spent with my father's brother's family, I was very close to his two daughters, growing up.
We got in major trouble for sitting in front of the oven as the turkey was cooking and making up a name and an entire life story for the turkey, ending, of course, in his tragic death.

His name was "Peabody."

I think the thing that really got us in trouble with the adults is when we taped a sign to the oven door that said "What if the Virgin Mary had killed Jesus and cooked him up for Thanksgiving?"

If an animal doesn't want to be killed (for food purposes, of course.... hunting for fun but not eating it is stupid) it can tell me "no, stop, don't kill me"

BUT, since it can't.... I'll still eat it.

People who say that eating animals is cruel and still eat dairy products are a bunch of idiots. Because most animals in the dairy industry are treated horribly - that's why I buy free range chicken eggs, for example. I would like it if there were more humane ways of killing animals for food...but that won't stop me from eating them...

I think we should wait until the New Year. New Year, new board pic. Every Christmas, TJ changes some of the board pics to holiday themed pictures. That is why I was hoping you could use your photoshop knowledge to make a pic or two for the board pic.

Friday night I went to a lock-in at this Faith Center thing at school (its a place where you can go eat lunch every other day, you get a quarter credit for it each year).... stayed up until 7 in the morning.

Then I went to sleep right when I got home at 7, didn't wake up until 5.

Fell asleep last night at 10 (I missed SNL!! Arrgh), and woke up about an hour ago.

I feel like ****, my whole nose and throat are killing me, I'm off to bed, again.

~Long Dream - make some popcorn~
This is one dream in 5 parts:

I was inside the Paramount studios and accidentally wandered onto what was left of the "Frasier" set. I saw the black chair that usually sat near the window view (it was green for some reason) The doors leading to the set were double doors made of glass, with little red handles [to open]. I opened the doors and went in - Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce were in there taking props and hiding them in their coats. I asked if I could take things, too, and they didn't care. To the right of me, was the Frasier bedroom set - I was looking for anything that was worn by Bebe Neuwirth...shoes, in particular. I found a pair of shoes that she wore on "Cheers!" Kelsey wouldn't care if I took them. I needed to get out of there as fast as I could with the shoes in my hand. A camera crew came out of nowhere. The police were coming, so I ran. Kelsey and David were still on the set, hiding. I hid somewhere until everyone left. I returned later and Kelsey, who was being Frasier and David, who was Niles, were trying to hurry off the set. As they were leaving, Niles dropped a lit cigerette; it started smoking and catching fire to the set. Frasier yelled, "Oh dear God, NILES! What have you done?" Niles ran.

II. I was taken home by my mom's best friend, and he lived down the street for some reason. I found out that I had given birth to Sam Malone's son! It was a surprise to me! I had no idea that I was pregnant. I entered a surprise baby shower - in the car they told me that they were taking me to see BETH! They lied! I managed to stray from the party and found Sam in my bedroom, because I was spending the night there - he put his arm around me and kissed my neck, saying, "I didn't know you were here." I eventually left him and tended to our baby.

III. I was back at the studio. I ran into Kelsey Grammer again, he kissed me and wanted me to meet him on the roof of studio 25. I went to craft service and got a corndog. Then I went up on the roof, still eating my corndog – he was up there waiting for me. (Yeah, that was a weird part of my dream….so provocative in a way)

IV. After my tryst with Kelsey, I returned to the “Frasier” set to retrieve a bear – there were guards there watching the studio. I told them I left it in there. One of the guards offered money to me, only if he could have the bear. I agreed.

V. I found a nostalgia store where I made wishes for toys and they suddenly appeared. I wanted a “My Buddy doll”, “Kid Sister doll (red hair)” - I’m thinking that I wanted that particular Kid Sister because that was the doll my mom didn’t buy me. She got me a blond kid sister. I still have it, it’s just that I wanted a red –headed doll, LOL!

Anyways, that was my dream!!!

Reminds me so vividly of my sitcom dreams... confusion between the "real" actors/sets and the "fictional" characters/locations, disjointed segments, intervention of people from your personal life etc... And yet it somehow makes sense to you at the time!

These types of dreams are great fun. :D

Actually, yes, I did wake up on the "wrong side of the bed" after a grand total of 50 minutes of sleep after studying for a test in Physiological Psychology. I'm dealing with a full course load, I work the entire weekend, I'm worrying about how I'm going to be able to afford Med School, I'm working hard to stay at the top of my class, and I have my own personal life that I still have to sort out.
Aside from that, for the past 6 months, not only have your comments been irritating, but at times offensive and womanizing (to myself and others), and I shouldn't have to feel myself or others objectified, nor should I have to watch your little drooly smilies when you think about what you'd like to do to a woman.
