Default Weird, but Pointless...

Did anyone notice that Mama had nicely manicured fingernails. That seemed really unlike Mama, but I guess Vicki Lawrence didn't feel like having ugly fingers. Just something I noticed. Feel free to discuss this pointless topic.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Definitely not the fingernails of a homemaker. But you're right, it would be a pain to mess up your nails several times a week just for a show.

I've noticed that a lot too...And when I met her in person, she had really nice manicured nails then, too...I guess she just loves having pretty nails They're most likely acryclics (read: fake nails), though...they look really nice, and you go to get them professionally done. The glue they apply to the acryclic nails are pretty strong, so you don't have to go in too often to get them changed.

OK, I'll shut up now... :-X

Well I'm no expert on nails, but everytime I have seen Vicki (On tv or in person), her nails have been really well taken care of. That is on of the very few things that i have noticed that bothered me about Mama. Another thing is her wig in the NBC Episodes. It looks so fake!

Yes, I noticed that to! Not exactly the hands of a 60+ year old! But remember that Vicki was in her 30's when most of Mama's Family was filmed!

Vicki has very lovely hands, mind you! Let's just say Mama's somebody who really takes care of herself when she's not cooking and cleaning. She DOES go to church a lot, so she's gotta look nice!

About her wig....I KNOW!! That's always bugged me, too! It looks like they took it out of a bag and didn't fluff it out enough, then made her wear it...it looks so....matted down. But it looks so much better once she went into syndication.

Yeah, I thought Mama looked a lot better in the syndication years. Her wig was nicer and her dresses were better. She just looked more relaxed in the syndicated episodes. But yeah, she really didn't look like a grandmother. There wasn't a wrinkle on her!!
