Default What is the largest number of...

..Spyware/Adware objects found by Ad-Aware or SpyBot have you ever seen on either your or a friend/family's computer? Everything counted; cookies, files, directories, registries, anything. I've seen one search find 200+ at a friend's. This friend told me it's found 1000, but I've only SEEN 200+.

623 at one time. This was in 2001, I think. And that was on the computer at my dad's - my stepsis totally hosed it down.

Your Ad-Aware or SpyBot program found 3000 problems?

She misunderstood. She means she has 3000 POSTS, not 3000 pieces of spyware found.

When I first got hit with Spyware and ran the Ad Aware I had over 100 of them on my computer. Now I run it twice a week and each time I catch between 40 and 50 of them. They SUCK and should be banned.

The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.

I still can't figure out why she's so obsessed with her post total count.

*shrugs* Beats me.

But I know for sure if there were actually 3000 pieces of spyware found on her computer, she wouldn't be able to post here, because by that point, her computer would be so messed up.

ive seen pc's with over 700 items - some with over 300 not including cookies, usually associated with having KaZaA, LimeWire, AudioGalaxy installed...

i've run into quite a few that couldn't even boot into Windows until we went into safemode and ran Spybot from there

Because there's idiots on this site that think the more posts you have, the cooler you are. Get a life people, seriously.

You never miss an opportunity, do you Sarah? You lie in wait, to pounce every chance you get. You must be so proud of yourself.

It's gotten really old....such boorish behavior.

Someone mentioned spyware and SO...I've gotten a few tracking cookies from the adcode, but never any spyware clients from the site, in 3 years here. It's everywhere else I get bombarded.

Highest count on MY computer: 289.
Highest count on a school computer (long story as to how I've ran it there): 1,542. Seriously. And only 300-ish were tracking cookies.
