Kim Fields spot light!!! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

First I hope everyone knows how much I love and respect Lisa Whelchel,Nancy Mckeon and Mindy Cohn. However Im sick and tired of Kim Fields being looked over and not respected. I would love to see someone accomplish what she has. I mean really. This fall she will have Fol on Nan, Living Single on Usa, and Taina on Nick. Take a moment to ponder that. I challenge you to find a woman with 2 past sitcoms on 2 cable channels and currently directing a on going sitcom. Also in my opinion Kim is the most beutiful of the 4 some. So in closing I want everyone to realize Kim is a phenominal talent!!!

Although I totally agree that Kim Fields is underrated and overlooked...if there is anyone who's overlooked on this site, it's Mindy Cohn.

Anyhow, Kim Fields does rock! Great singing voice too.

Kim is just wonderful! I agree with you so much! I love her voice and she is very good looking and very gorgeous today!

I totally agree with you. Finally, a Kim Fields fan on this board. Kim is so talented and pretty. I don't understand why she isn't in the box office movies. My gosh, she's a actress, director and producer. Not many actresses can say that! She has done real well moving over the hump from child star to adult star. Kim is one of the few child stars to move on. But I still have respect for Lisa Whelchel, Nancy McKeon and Mindy Cohn.

OK!!! There are about 3 people from the show that are MAJORLY overlooked!!

1. Kim Fields- People seem to not like Kim Fields becuase they don't like her character Tootie... well without tootie there wouldn't have been many episodes now would there have!! NOPE!!! Also... where would the whining parts and stuff go to? where would all the black vs. white parts go to? Kim Fields/Tootie rocks!!
2. Mindy Cohn- People seem to not like Mindy as much becuase she hasn't had many occuring roles in anything.. HELLO!!! she is only the most funny one on the show! Most of te jokes CAME from nat/mindy! I love mindy outa most of the girls!! She rocks! (as my s/n says!)
3. Charlotte Rae- Where would the show be without her? Everyone knows that the show got more boring when she left! She pulled the show together and she helped most of the people in the 80's 90's and today GROW UP!! common!! YOu gotta love mrs. g!! And i know that one guy has the IHateEdnagarrett website which i DESPISE!!!!! but only to the point where Charlotte Rae deserves credit for pulling the show together in the first place!!!!!

Anyone agree with me?

I like Kim Fields! She is really cute in the Mrs. butterworths commercial! But Lisa Whelchel is my favorite actress and Blair is my favorite.

Agreed. We should have a "Tootie Appreciation Day". We tried to have one, like back in January( because everyone was bashing Tootie a lot back then ( myself included, admittingly...), but nobody posted the topic. Aw well...we should have one now.

Kim is an Icon, especially for the Black Community. And you're right, she has been on 2 successful sitcoms in 2 different decades which are both playing re-runs on tv till this day. Awesome.
