I am a collector who tries to collect all kinds of guitars!
However, I was wondering What make and the model of Danny's first bass guitar; which was a Red color looking bass. Can anyone tell me what is the make and the excact model? Thank you Grampa Squirrel |

you probably already know this, but dannys' red bass (not his first, that was a sunburst Fender Precision
I'm sure you probably already know this, but Danny's red bass was a Fender Mustang. The red Mustang was not his first bass, that was a sunburst Fender Precision which dwarfed him so badly that he had to sit on a chair rather than stand while he pretended to play it.This was the bass he used in the pilot, and is photographed with on the back of the first record sleeve. After the Mustang, the Partridges were furnished with guitars from the Ovation company.Danny was given a hollow-body Typhoon bass with a Natural Nutmeg finish (brown),as well as two cheaper versions, one blue and one white which did not have white binding.Ovation made an earlier version of the Typhoon bass with a smaller body. The later, larger bodied Typhoon bass used the same body (made by Framus of Germany) that they used for the guitar, they didn't even bother to change the placement of the pick-up holes. later batfink60 0 |
