Season 3 is on the way!

With roughly 7 months between the releases of seasons 1 and 2, Cheers fans were expecting another long wait for season 3. Surprise! Paramount Home Entertainment told us earlier today that we can expect season 3 to be released in May, a mere 4 months after the release of the second season. We're not sure of the exact date, but we're narrowed it down to 4 possibilites: 4, 11, 18 or 25th (yes, we know that's every Tuesday in May).

Also released on the same day will be Frasier: Season 3.

with 11 seasons to go through, I knew they weren't gonna wait every year to release them. That would've been insane!

Me too! I just found out about this a few minutes ago and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!!

But it'll be really weird getting the Season 3 DVD, because it's the season that Nicholas passes away.

This is AWESOME news.

In an older post I said May would be the perfect time to release it.
I still think it'll be either the 11th or the 18th.

Either the DVDs will promote the Frasier Finale.
Or the Frasier Finale will promote the DVDs.
Or if they're smart.... they'll cross promote.
