Wedding Attire?? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I noticed on a couple of episodes where Doug and Carrie are invited to a wedding, Doug wears a tuxedo. Ive been to many weddings as a guest and i have never seen anyone (other than members of the wedding party) wearing tuxedos. I live on the East Coast so maybe it is just me. Anyone else ever wonder about that??

I have not attended many weddings. The ones I did go to only the groom wore a tux.

I have to agree. Usually the only people who wear tuxes are the ones in the wedding party and/or special friends and relatives.

It's generally common practice for guests NOT to dress better than either the bride or groom!
