It has been said that actors playing Superman there has been a curse of playing the Man of Steele

George Reeves couldn't find work because people identify him with the Man of Steele and killed himself
Christopher Reeve couldn't shake the role in movies and without him being Superman, his movies playing a regular character like "Somewhere in Time & Deathtrap" flopped and now is more popular and admired after his horse accident and trying to find a paralysis for walking again
The two actors playing "Superboy" John Haymes Newton and George whatever his last name is are having a hard time finding work and George portrays Superboy at Children's shows. Superboy BTW is where Superman/Clark Kent in Smallsville before he was an adult and in his high school years
Dean Cain, though has been a little more successful hosting Ripley's Believe It Or Not, in the Denzel Washington movie "Out of Time" and recently portrayed Scott Peterson in a USA movie
Tom Welling is hoping that his blossoming movie career like "Cheaper by the Dozen" will open more doors for him!!
