The age of Jo's dad - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Ok I'm a little confused here doing the 2nd season in the eposide where Jo see's her father again, we find out that's he's going to be turing 40. But in the ninth season in the eposide where Rick meet's Jo's dad he's turning 50. If he turned 40 back in 1981 , by accounts he wouldn't turn 50 until 1991. Does this make sense to anybody?

Yea, that does make sense...Just like in one episode Jo says she doesn't have a living grandfather...but then goes to visits one, or one visits her, whatever...And,that Beverly Ann had never been to New York, but then a few episodes before/after she was explaining how she went...strange how these things happen, huh?
