i loved the show. i like mclean stevenson on M*A*S*H and followed him to this show. that plus i had the hots for kim richards. i had no problem with it.
NBC droped the ball with so many shows back then, hello larry, sanford, misadventures of sheriff lobo, and such that usually were in bad timeslots against ratign winners. "from here to eternity" was a great show. but putting it head to head with DALLAS in its heyday, was the perfect formula to fail. |

I liked the show.NBC didn't have very much luck with sitcoms then. It even took awhile for FOL to become a hit. I just wish NBC was a little more patient with this show.

yep, that's her.
thanks for the shot. that is a good one. i'll tell ya what sucks. about a decade or so ago, the local newspaper did a story about a movie having some shooting here in my area with kim richards and ken shriner in it. and being a fan of ken's from his days on the soap "texas", i would have loved any chance to have gotten near them after or before their work. thanks to the idiots at the paper, they wrote this article and printed it a week afterwards. with no mentioning of it i ever saw before. so she was about 15 miles or less from where i sit now and i couldn't even try to meet her. that bit then and still bites now.

She was the only cast member I liked from Hello Larry. I like Meadowlark too. I still can't believe 4 crossover episodes with Different Strokes did not help Hello Larry. |

There is a write-up about Kim Richards in the Spring issue of The Disney Magazine.
She and Ike Eisenmann recently got together to provide commentary tracks for the DVD release of Return To Witch Mountain and Escape From Witch Mountain. According to the article, she retired from showbusiness in 1985 to raise her (now) 4 children. And should you have any doubt, she's more of a babe now at 39 then she was during her acting days. Although the article doesn't mention her, Kim's sister Kyle who was also an actress, married into the Hilton family and is aunt to Paris & Nicole. |

The wait is over! I have all but 2 episodes from this series of Hello, Larry. I need episodes 11 and 13. I even have the 7 episodes of Diff'rent Strokes in which the Hello, Larry cast appeared. Quality of my series is very nice overall! Most are in (A) shape, those not (A) quality are just a bit below that in B+ shape, very stable still clear versions. Lots of other harder tv shows from the 70s, and 80s! sitcoms my favorite of all. Contact me by email directly as I find this forum difficult to use at times. altv2k@yahoo.com
